Seen many animals that I have never had the opportunity to see in person before (preserved species and lifesize statues). Some exhibit rooms were closed due to construction however there is still so many to see.. minerals, skeletons. A lot to learn from this one building.

A must do in Nantes. Very complete for introducing children and adults to natural science with an interesting geology lens. Rich and explanatory vivarium. Collection of natural woods. Historical reconstruction of the dinosaur among the most complete in France. And ephemeral exhibitions to the heart of the matter.

Not big but pretty cool museum. It has all kinds of rocks, stuffed animals, live snakes, fossils, shells, birds, etc.... Our kids (and we) really enjoyed it. It's also free for kids and a very small price for adults

Nice visit, we had a pleasant time, clean place, lots of explanations nearby, very interesting. Well suited for children with the possibility of playing library games etc... Allow 1h30-2h Negative point no parking available nearby perhaps because of the work taking place right next door

My grandchildren 7 years old, 6 years old and 18 months old loved it from top to bottom only small downside there are strollers but not easy to handle and my little stroller would have taken up less space but we will come back

(Translated by Google) The Museum is a superb museum which offers us a large collection of exhibits with many minerals, stuffed animals, skeletons, shells and many more. The price of the ticket is widely accessible for a young person, only 2 €. The welcome is perfect, no complaints, the staff is very nice. The related health rules are well respected. Bonjour, let's chat about my adventure at Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle – a total natural wonderland! These folks? They're like nature wizards, turning every exhibit into a mind-blowing journey. Right in France's cultural core, it's like stepping into a world of wonders. And the crew? Think nature enthusiasts who spill the beans on all things wild. But here's the kicker – it's not your typical boring class about animals. Nope, it's more like an interactive safari for your brain. Touch, explore, and get your nature groove on. Oh, and the mix of ancient fossils and modern discoveries? It's like a time-traveling adventure you never expected. Now, brace yourself – they're like nature superheroes, saving Earth's secrets from fading away. Keeping history's natural treasures intact? Talk about a major win for planet Earth! So, whether you're a biology geek or just someone up for a day of discovery, this place is a must. Trust me, my inner nature explorer was on cloud nine all day long

(Translated by Google) A magnificent museum, The welcome is more than correct, the prices are reasonable € 4 for my 5-year-old daughter and an adult, at the entrance now we have lockers with a key like at the swimming pool to be able to leave our things and not be crowded by our clothes and handbag for the visit! A very positive point is a stylus and hand out at the reception for touch tablets. Allow a minimum of 1.5 hours of visit if you want to see everything calmly without running. this year the exhibition proposed by the museum has for theme the Neanderthals, a very beautiful exhibition, there is a lot to learn, I traveled with my 5 year old daughter, she loved being able to discover how the species has evolved, take the time to look, allow at least 45 minutes for this visit of the Neanderthals, I remain convinced that this is one of their best exhibitions which is very instructive for children. For the rest of the museum it's quite classic, minerals at the entrance with a beautiful exhibition, they offer us a magnificent exhibition of seashells higher up, but also stuffed animals with several species that will be captivated by our children, even the smallest . The nice thing about the museum is that there is a corner for the children, where they can discover and draw, with COVID we no longer have access to the drawings. Big downside are snakes resting during school holidays? It's a shame, no complaints we will be back very soon.

This place is cool, it only takes about an hour to walk around, if you can avoid the ticket booth do so, the lady working there was hugely unpleasant and kinda ruined the vibe.

The museum itself is really nice, however (like most museums in France), it is extremely unfriendly for non-French speakers. The museum even had Braille, but not English text. The Ocean temporary exhibition is really interesting and is the most friendly for English speakers, but still over 50% of it is in French.

Relatively small but has a lot to see. Ground floor is mostly geological and fossils, with a space for temporary themed exhibits. Along with a small vivarium, holding about 20 different snakes each in their own case. Upstairs there is a collection of stuffed animals and on the gallery level stuffed birds and large array of seashells. Seems well set up for young children.
