A few years ago, if you asked me about the Corbeille Nafta, I would have answered with bright eyes: "It is a crevasse in the form of a basket from which 152 springs used to emerge to irrigate the entire palm grove of Nefta." But nowadays, there is no trace of the glory of water there. The place is like a monument to erosion and drought. In short, don't go there. 🥲

We walked along Google maps directions to the south and east side and only saw the palm trees down there, no water. Later on someone advised that one need to go to Hotel Mirage and get a better view.

It’s ok, if you don’t mind driving for over a half hour from the main road through the desert, only to get out and be accosted by people trying to force you onto a camel or a quad for money. The buildings are cool to look at but there are only maybe a dozen of them, and they are just filled with rubble inside. The desert itself is pretty cool, but you don’t get to experience the silence of the dunes due to all the quads and tourists. I was lucky yo snap the pics attached with so few people in frame.

Unforgettable experience, first time I saw an Oasis in my life, accompanied by our guide Mohammed found there on site, a truly formidable person who spent the whole day with us even bringing us the Mtabga bread cooked by his aunt. Corbeille is a true paradise within Nefta and the most beautiful thing is that each inhabitant owns a plot of land. Corbeille is a true earthly paradise where peace and tranquility, we ate dates picked from the tree before our eyes. Just outside the Oasis there is a beautiful café where you can refresh yourself after the walk and buy some typical local souvenirs such as date paste, palm juice and some traditional turbans. I also recommend going to see the salt lake. Unforgettable experience.
