***updated- not only can this business not take criticism, they also hop onto my reviews throughout different platforms and bully me!!!! (Shame on admin for allowing this- isn’t this meant to be a place where Customers give honest Reviews? I am as honest as I can be, giving reviews, I’m not here to slander people, nor do I take bullying from anyone who attempts to insinuate that I am dishonest about the quality of food and the behaviour of certain staff members. Absolutely disgraceful human behaviour! Keep editing your lies, and block me so I cannot respond to you personally, and calm your ego!!!! I feel very sorry for the staff, who are clearly under appreciated and micro managed! (And yes , upon leaving, the customers really are forced to give good reviews, with 5 stars , before paying! ) It’s not difficult to read them and figure it out !!!!Treat them with respect!! 1 solitary star just for the decor and presentation and beautiful location. , unfortunately the food is not the best. The manager was nasty to her poor staff , who are awesome . So before leaving our table, the waitress(who clearly was trained to do this)- gave us a flyer with a prize upon entering the draw, by signing up and becoming a member- but apparently it takes 3 days for it to go through lol …then, while paying , the owner literally demanded that to be eligible for the draw , we had to follow and like their facebook page and give a 5 star review!!!!! Food is way overpriced for the poor quality. Oh as for the old signage out the front , advertising Wednesday buffets- it does not exist!!!!

SO GOOD !! Randhawa’s Is The Classiest Indian Restaurant On The Gold Coast ! Located Within Emerald Lakes - Carrara. Exceptional Service From the Young Aussie Waiter. Had the Vegetarian Mixed Platter For Entree & the Randhawa’s Signature Goat Curry for Main. Both Were Fabulous !! With a Good Amount of Time Between Servings. (Which is Something Other GC Restaurants Could Learn From !) Probably The Best Indian Restaurant Around.

On the 15 October 2022 I had the worst customer experience of my life. The restaurant was busy and the manager made several errors with the order. When we tried to reach a sensible outcome, we were met with being talked over and being asked to wait a couple of hours. It wasn't staff were impolite...I just don't feel several understand basic customer service standards. Have asked about 5 times over the last month to speak to the owner but to no avail. Diners beware.

Below Average. The biryani has a lot of color but no taste. The taste is not authentic and after the first bite you can clearly tell it is not fresh and has been cooked probably a few days ago. The chicken was chewy and the lacked flavor. The small box of chana chaat was so cold and came straight from the fridge. Again, no taste just a few chopped onions, chana and some chopped tomatoes thrown together. Taste 3/10 Price 6/10 Quality 4/10 Service 9/10 All in all, I will not recommend this place to anyone. Too expensive and not worth it at all.

Fantastic Indian Cuisine Experience! We recently dined last night (15/07/2023) at Randhawa's Indian Cuisine and had an incredible experience. The food was absolutely awesome, and the service was exceptional. From start to finish, it was a delight for our taste buds and an unforgettable culinary journey. The Mango Lassi was exceptionally creamy and delicious, providing a refreshing and delightful complement to the flavoursome meal. The Butter Chicken paired perfectly with the fragrant Jeera rice, just as the attentive wait staff had recommended. The Beef Vindaloo was truly exceptional, with a perfect balance of spices that tantalized our palate. Also, we absolutely loved the Cheese and Garlic Naan. Its delectable combination of flavours and fluffy texture made it a memorable accompaniment to the main course. A word of advice for future customers: I recommend ordering just one curry, one rice, and one naan at a time for two people, as the portions are generous. We made the mistake of ordering too much, and we ended up just taking it away -- which is fine. Randhawa's Indian Cuisine offers an exceptional dining experience. The food is incredible, the service is great, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you're seeking a cozy dinner for two or a delightful takeaway, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!

I have been here plenty different occasions, be it dinner ordered off the menu, or the Christmas buffet, which was amazing and absolutely worth the money spent. As many others have led on the Naan is fantastic and probably the best I’ve had. I can’t say I’ve had a problem with the food

I think this is best Indian restaurant in Australia. The taste is so palatable and authentic that you can literally feel that you are in India. The staff is so supportive and they served the meal in very quick time.

We had a terrible experience at Randhawas and won’t be heading there again. Hailing originally from India, we wanted to try Randhawas as it seemed it be a luxury fine dining restaurant. We had a tiresome day and went for dinner. While we didn’t have a booking, the lady at the reception was very courteous and we were seated within 5-10 minutes. We were initially enjoying the decor and ambience. We ordered Amritsar Fish which was decent and my husband ordered beers. We had asked for goat curry (Indian hot version) for mains and it arrived soon with the tandoori roti. At first we were delighted to see the curry was piping hot just as we like it and started enjoying the food (though the tandoori roti had ghee and we usually don’t prefer ghee - though we didn’t ask about it initially). Soon to our dismay I found a piece of hair in my goat curry and quickly called the gentleman serving us. On showing him the hair, he kind of laughed at seeing the hair and just took away the goat curry without saying anything. We then waited for him to remove our plates. He came back after a while and then took away my plate but didn’t take away my husbands plate. Thereafter another lady working on level 1 came and replaced my plate with the cutlery. All this while my husband plate hadn’t been removed and the breads were going dry and we were let what was happening. We requested the gentleman who had served us to call the manager and were let waiting for much longer. Then we called another person serving tables if my husbands plate could at least be removed and be replaced with fresh plate. This was done though they didn’t bother to give him fresh cutlery. My husband politely asked the second person what would happen with the rotis as they had gone stonecold by now and this gentleman asked if he could microwave it for us!! We were appalled at the turn of events and requested again if we could please speak with the manager. At first we were told our rotis or breads will be microwaved for us. We’ve never had microwaved rotis at home as these are always a had fresh in any Indian household. In the meantime the replaced goat curry arrived. White it was hot in terms of temperature this one wasn’t Indian hot as we had previously requested. We were growing tired of repeating ourselves so we didn’t mention anything about this. Thereafter the manager who was a lovely lady came and apologised to us and we told her we understood it wasn’t her fault, though we never expected this in a restaurant like Randhawas. She was really courteous and profusely apologised on behalf of the staff and asked if there was anything she could do. My husband still didn’t have a spoon to have the curry and had to request for it separately. Our replaced roti soon arrived and the manager offered to order another round of roti for us. Soon after as the 1st floor starting getting a bit empty, we heard the staff arguing in the background. There was also a girl who was serving tables and had been scolded for not doing her job well and she kept dropping cutlery on the floor as she went around tables. She seemed least interested in customer service and was throwing around utensils in the bar area quite loudly. We were keen to finish our food and go back home as this was far from the fine dining experience we had been looking forward to. We went to the main reception to finalise our bill. As a compensation the manager did not charge us for 1 tandoori roti and mentioned that while it takes 3 days for bio membership to be activated and one needs the card to avail the vip cost price, she would offer us the vip price on our bill for tonight (and that vip price is not always offered on all items but she would put it across for our bill). All in all we won’t be going back to Randhawas and felt while the decor and location were superb, the customer service simply let it down. The food portion size was quite decent and the manager seemed the only responsible lady in the staff and we felt sorry for her as she seemed hurried, rushed and overworked.

I hate to give 1 star as the food was absolutely amazing. Although the management is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I ordered pickup, one dish missing. I called the restaurant and asked for a refund to which manager informed that it would not be possible that day and to drive back tomorrow. During the call the manager was rude and spoke over me constantly. The following day I called and got my refund after a similar rude conversation with the same manager. I have asked to speak with the owner multiple times and have been told they will call me. After weeks, still no call. I understand that mistakes happen, especially during busy times. But the way it was handled by the manager was disappointing. I have never experienced such rude service.

We have bought food a couple of times as they are just 3-4 minutes drive from home and never enjoyed the food as the food is far beyond being Authentic Indian food, food is too much sweet and completely different taste with a lot of food color but never posted anything, just ignored . Being thoughtful that it may affect the business, today I just bought 4 plain naan and each naan costed $5.50(total $22) which is quite expensive. We never complained, good food should come at a good price however I felt the waste of money. The naan were burnt as shown in pictures and chewy.Chef tried to play smart by cutting the sides and fooling the customer. It is not fair for a customer as well as for any good business.

Went on my own for dinner, since I was visiting the area on a business trip. Food is fantastic and well made and the service is friendly and professional. I'm looking forward to visit this restaurant again.

***A very bad experience*** We have been frequent customers here for a long time. However, the food and quality was not up to the standard at all. Firstly, the food lacked seasoning. One of the food we ordered was mixed vegetarian platter and there was no seasoning and very heavy in turmeric. The pakoras were burnt outside but still raw inside and we could taste the raw chickpea flour. We ordered the keema naan as well, but the keema was not cooked properly and we had to send it back. The flavour was lacking and all we could taste was turmeric, which had a very artificial flavour and stained our hands. We normally cook Indian food on a daily basis and use fresh homegrown turmeric and we know that it is not meant to stain our hands and have such a heavy taste in our food. The flavour was lacking which was not even up to daily home cooking standard let alone restaurant standard. There seemed to be huge problem with communication as well. We ordered a large chips and the waiters were confused and came to clarify 5 minutes later if it was chips or nuggets and chips. We confirmed it was chips only and was served chips only. However, upon reviewing the bill after we got home, we realised we were charged for nuggets and chips. We trusted and paid the bill for food we were served but after confirming the order was for chips we were charged for the wrong meal. Overall, these are some examples of the poor service we received and the night was very disappointing!!

Had a pretty standard night out with the guys. We booked a table for 5:30pm, thinking we'd have loads of time before the Paul McCartney gig at 7pm just a stone's throw away. But it looked like no one gave the restaurant heads-up about the concert because the staff were swamped and everything came out super slow. At one point, a waiter was grabbing our drink orders, and when we asked what kind of rum they had, he seemed stumped. Just pointed to another waiter and was like, 'They'll sort you out,' while that person was busy taking a food order from someone else. Props to the second waiter, though—totally on the ball and nailed it with the service. But then the food showed up and it was like they'd rushed it out and forgot the flavor. I’ve been hitting up Randhawas for years and it's usually top-notch, but what I got last night was just dull. Even if it hadn't been, I was practically inhaling my food to make sure we didn’t miss the concert. I don’t wanna be too harsh because I get that running a restaurant is super tough and it's not my gig, but you'd think they'd plan for a big event nearby and not let it mess with their customers' plans

What an amazing Indian restaurant. The food was incredibly tasty. I ordered two different naans (best ones I had in Queensland so far), two curries (a spicy one and a non-spicy one, both spectacular) and a side of rice. Service was quick and the nice Indian lady who served us was super nice. Prices are in the norm for what you get. I’d definitely come back here to try more of their amazing curries.

Had Lunch here today. Ordered entree Lamb Samosa’s the pastry so hard could not cut with the knife & as for the Lamb filling not much very little. Ordered Malai Kofta for main meal mild - medium too spicy for me could not eat. The Koftas tasted floury & were mushy. Very Disappointed with the quality.

Sara the manager made us feel like family as soon as we arrived. The restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing and has a lovely ambiance. Our waiter was very attentive and eager to please. The food was delicious. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We will definitely be back!

What a fantastic location. It was a mouthwatering aroma, and the temperature was warm when we walked in as one of the first patrons which made us feel so relaxed and wanting to take our coats off. The staff were refreshingly friendly, polite and the service was also refreshingly outstanding. Clothed tables made it an even nicer touch to the ambience. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a fabulous time. It certainly leaves the so-called hip places for dead. We would most definitely go back for another fantastic evening.

This was the nicest Indian flavours I have eaten! Beautiful! My upset is the amount of actual food in the container floating in sauce! Way too little meat for the price.

Visited the place Twice a month and to be honest it is the best place on Gold coast. Their Prawn n pepper curry is awesome and if you are coming to this beautiful restaurant don’t forget to eat their award winning dish butter chicken because it a fingerlicking dish. Best food on the Gold coast ❤️

Food was exceptional and staff very friendly and accommodating. We’ll be back again! Thank you for the lovely food, it’s hard to find a good Indian without being too sweet but more authentic!

I m currently on holiday at the Gold Coast and was searching for a restaurant to eat out that was near The Mercure Gold Coast Resort. Good thing I went to Randhawa's. As soon as I entered, I was immediately amazed with the ambience of the restaurant. The food was sublime. We ordered the Lamb Samosa, Seafood Curry, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken and some Naan Bread. If you can handle spice I recommend ordering the curry's with medium heat, this'll bring out more flavour. Overall the service and quality of dishes were excellent.

I ordered a takeaway and chose the lamb korma, garlic naan and saffron rice. I eat a lot of Indian food in my monthly diet and live with an Indian man. I can say without reservation that was the BEST lamb korma I have eaten in Australia between Melbourne, Sydney & the Gold Coast in the last 24 years! Super friendly staff, reasonable price especially for the quality and freshness! Outstanding! Thank you

First Time being here and the food was amazing, Had the Kadai Chicken and the Beef Korma and you can taste the array of spices and will leave you wanting to try more. Definitely Looking forward to my next venture to the Restaurant to try something new. Well Done and will definitely be coming back.

I share the opinions of many on the last 4 weeks reviews. This place was fabulous, beautiful food every time. Not any more. In the last 4 weeks something has massively changed. Been there twice in the last 2 weeks, spoke to the manager and she admitted she understood that there have been a lot of bad reviews and is working to remedy it. I am struggling to see how they will get out of this as the change is drastic and very quick but time will tell I really hope they do as I live across the road!! Good luck

Absolutely delicious! The food is amazing, the staff are so friendly, welcoming and attentive. From when we came in the door to when we left the service was superb. The best Indian restaurant on the Gold Coast. We took visitors from Ireland to celebrate the end of their trip, such a brilliant way to end their trip.
