Fine dining and fine experience... well deserved reputation for this restaurant, 5 stars service, 5 stars staff and 5 stars dinner... Loved the swordfish and loved the lamb, both recommended by the lovely Tamara who made our evening even more pleasant... Great variety of local and imported wines, if unsure just ask the staff, their counselling was impeccable.

Love this place and the creativity that was put into each dish. The cuttlefish and the lobster are our favorite. The steak is super nice too and has awesome presentation. I love the sneaker box dessert but the brownie one not so much (it’s very cute though 😅) A big shout out to Vanessa and the great customer service of the whole team. We look forward to coming back in the near future :)

It's the hidden gems.. or in this case, the hidden arts! Located in HOTA and very much aligned with the exhibitions there, we enjoyed a degustation menu with wine pairing. This is not your ordinary degustation though. Each course has a story and is influenced by the current exhibitions there. I loved the stories, loved even more the passion and the vibrancy of each of the courses! Palette is definitely as its name suggests- art in each course!

Wow! One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The lighty cooked scallops with crispy pancetta was a real highlight. All the sauces were tantalising with delicious creamy miso flavours in some. Well worth the experience.

This is by far the best food experience on the Gold Coast! Nothing on the coast comes near this place. We had the vegetarian degustation menu and it was absolutely amazing. The presentation, the flavors, the innovative mix of ingredients and cooking techniques… and service was flawless. All staff are extremely knowledgeable about the food and a special mention to Tamara, that provided such great service, with a great energy and personality. Highly recommend this place!

My partner and I came here for my birthday. I say this as a Melbourne foodie… this was legit one of the best meals I’ve had ever. Great service and a stylish cosy ambience

A group of five went along on New Year's Eve for the five-course dinner with wines. The service was fabulous - attentive and very friendly. The wines were perfect - full and very flavoursome. Then the food - the dishes were perfect. Creative, full of favour and absolutely beautifully presented. The Beef Wellington was about the best thing I've ever eaten. Wonderful stylish restaurant, lovely ambience and it looks like they support as many local producers as they can. All round an amazing dining experience that was exceptional value. Thanks to Dayan and the team for a world-class night.

We went for a 3 course lunch at Palette. The restaurant itself is visually beautiful, the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel very welcome. It was a bit quiet on the inside but the weather was pretty bad the day we went. Each course was absolutely delicious, the pork a standout dish. Wine was a great match. I would absolutely love to come here again and bring my partner. I'm a size 24 plus size woman and I couldn't fit into some of the chairs, if you are concerned just ask for a lounge style chair or a chair without arms and it won't be an issue. It won't deter me from going again.

I recently went to this incredible restaurant. I was so impressed by their focus on sustainability and the high quality of their seafood. Every time I heard the phrase "sustainably farmed seafood" it felt like I was at the fountain farming specialists. And on top of all that, they didn't even give me the option to tip! I highly recommend this place to all my friends, it's truly a dining experience like no other.

Had the set menu with my partner, and it was fabulous. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the restaurant itself was beautiful; perfect for an expensive date night! Shout out to the hostess and bartender, who mixed up some custom cocktails based on what we like.. And they were great! My only complaint is that the menu offered wasn't the same as advertised on their website, but it was still delicious regardless.

Beautiful sophisticated gastronomic experience. Finally proper real grown up food on the Gold Coast! Staff are friendly (without being familiar), and knowledgeable. Please don't change a thing, we love it!

A truly incredibly meal with attention to detail by the chefs and staff. The desert being a chocolate print of the beautiful new gallery was a great touch

A superb restaurant with impeccable service and menu. We had a pleasure of trying the High Tea on recommendation and we were blown away by the incredible degustation. Every item was visually striking, and with incredible pairing of flavours. The team delivered an extraordinary culinary experience. This is a High Tea like no other and a must do!

The service here is really great, after having been sent around in circles by the HOTA staff, the waitress treated us to a glass of sparkling on the house. The food here is a bit hit and miss. The kangaroo taco's and the wagyu beef were standout dishes but the carrots and fish weren't great. It has a really cool atmosphere and the chocolate dessert and the soup can are the must have dishes.

One of the best places to dine in for a date night. The vibes are beautiful. The ambience and the dinner culture is beautiful. Ample of free parking after 5 pm I guess. Calm and quiet place. The service was amazing. Our server Nik was really good. He explained us choosing food and also explained how will it be cooked. We spent around $150 for dinner for 2 people. Enjoyed the wine and the food. Amazing wine selection. There is a beautiful park outside, where you can walk after dinner. Definitely recommend for wonderful evening dinner. Ambience is mesmerising. Took my mind off everything.

Amazing unique dining experience. Highly recommend the tasting menu, great way to taste some incredible food and the staff explain each meal so well.

One of Gold Coast’s best and definitely my favourite high tea in Queensland! Executive Chef Dayan is an incredible talent - there’s a reason why Marco Pierre White chose this restaurant for a one-off special collaboration earlier this year. The degustation menus are always full of creativity and Dayan has managed to change my palette a few times, the mark of brilliant talent. Staff are always warm and personable. Pre-drinks at the rooftop bar high recommended also!

For those of us who have allergies and dietary requirements, this is a great venue to dine in. I decided to get the pork from here and it was beautifully cooked and an amazing amplitude of flavours. I was given gluten free bread as an alternative and offered a fair few choices for my allergies.

Very limited menu with eclectic taste. Staff were wonderful and very helpful but the menu and the cocktail menu left something to be desired. As a local, I wont be going back soon as I found it incredibly overpriced and the options were too limited. I ordered the pork belly and no knife they gave me could cut through the chewy top.

The perfect place for a special occasion! The tasting menu was worth every penny and the staff were kind and accommodating. Absolutely the best meal we've had in Queensland (outside of Sumi Open Kitchen in Noosa, which would be a tie.)

We had the tasting menu. It was good and value for money. Interesting dishes, although, I was expecting a little more creativity on the plate, being located within HOTA. We loved the kangaroo, not so much the sausage as the casing was really difficult to chew. Service was fantastic.

The perfect atmosphere for a night of fine dining. The food, staff and atmosphere were on point. The lamb entree was beyond our expectation and the raw seafood entree was perfect. The rump cap, fish and pork mains were cooked to perfection, with outstanding presentation and plating. All the desserts were refined and enjoyed by all. From the fairy bread, to the pavlova and the souffle. We've enjoyed raspberry souffles at other establishments, in the past, which have all been over sweet, but Palette's one was a perfect balance and a lovely way to end the night. A romantic spot for couples and comfortable enough for families.

I have had many meals around the world but this lunchtime tasting plate was the best food I have had. Creative, flavoursome and so well presented and explained. Service was impeccable and the décor was beautiful. Make sure you experience their take on fairy bread. Could not recommend this experience highly enough!! Well done Palette - keep up the great work!

I went to Palette to try their degustation menu which looked lovely on the website. I was not disappointed at all. It was a fantastic experience. The amuse-bouche were very innovative and dish after dish was beautifully prepared and decorated. A treat for the eyes as well as the tastebuds, with a variety of flavours that I had never tried before. Staff were attentive and pleasant. When my friend was disappointed with a dish, another option was immediately made available. Particular highlights for me were the Hervey Bay scallops with crispy pancetta and the sorbets, but every dish was delicious. Thank you very much for a lovely evening. Wonderful wall decor photographed. Love the jelly mould!🥰😍😘

Lovely atmosphere and fresh ingredients. See the photo of "Seafood Wonder" at $28. The grilled fish was overcooked and dry. Unfortunately the dishes didn't have a surprising factor.

My wife and I had the tasting menu (Degustation) at Palette and could not have had a better meal. If you have a diverse palette and enjoy excellent service, this is the restaurant for you. The wait staff are very attentive, suddenly appearing when needed. But they do not hover, so you have privacy while you eat. Our waiter was excellent (and I am sorry, but neither of us can remember your name, or we would definitely commend you for your level of service) and had a great knowledge of both the menu and the paired wines. The restaurant also caters for dietary restrictions very well.

Took my wife here for her 40th birthday and was a great experience. Did the tasting menu with wine pairing. Love how they theme menu with current exhibition at HOTA. Exceptional food and service. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back once new menu is set for new exhibit. Only suggestion that servers be tad more knowledgeable on the wine.

We only came here because we had tickets to the ballet, but wow, so unexpectedly fantastic. The food looked like art and tasted amazing. Service was great too. We’ll be back to make an evening of the dinner.

What an incredible experience!!! Absolutely out of this world. We had our XMas party at Palette Restaurant and were blown away. Staff and chef were superb. The food was mind blowing. Will be back.

Boutique restaurant located on HOTA premises, just next to the Art Gallery. Good ambience and location, especially for pre-show meals at HOTA. The food is not cheap but definitely worth it. Service was a little slow though and it was at times hard to catch the waiter's eye in spite of many of them around. Really enjoyed the food. Worth coming again.

The restaurant itself sits within an art museum / art complex. The decor is modern yet it has that welcoming feel to it. The food is modern Australian whereby they use local ingredients showcasing Australian dishes can be out there too. The things I would recommend are beef, grilled cabbage, and the choux. The beef is soft and comes with this great sauce. Choux is light and so easy to eat. The lobster was mild in flavour, expected a stronger seafood flavour. The swordfish was just okay. Food - 8 Service - 10 Vibe - 10 Price - $$$$$

We hosted a party of 13 guest for the degustation and paired wines. And WOW! The menu was clever, sophisticated, interesting and a real journey. The paired wines were all exceptional too, and generous. Brilliant service and setting. Highly recommend!! Thank you all staff for a memorable evening :-)

This place is fabulous... I live in Brisbane, and went to see a show at HOTA and purchased the lunch with a ticket. Great food, superb service and a great view from the floor to ceiling windows of the Surfers Paradise to the Hinterland. A thoroughly enjoyable experience... We'll be back. 100/10....⭐🌟✨
