We recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel over a holiday weekend, and I must say, I am extremely satisfied with the choice I made. Despite the hotel being fully booked, the staff's attitude towards us was consistently polite and individually tailored to our needs. The receptionist, in particular, stood out with their professional demeanor and courteousness. Our room was spotlessly clean and boasted an amazing view of the sea, even though we were situated on the fifth floor. The balcony proved to be cozy enough for two people, making it the perfect spot for enjoying a romantic drink. The pillows and mattress were delightfully soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. When it came to dining, the breakfast options were delicious and plentiful, offering a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the quality of its guests. Every person we encountered was friendly and welcoming, and as a result, we had the opportunity to forge new friendships during our stay. Overall, I would like to extend my gratitude to the hotel staff for providing such a wonderful experience. I am already looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you Eva

I had a work group 'pool and spa' day at Daniel hotel. While the Spa facilities a bit old, the message was great. Pool is well taken care of and fun the hang around. We enjoyed our stay.

We have been bowled over by the customer service at this beautifully located beachfront hotel. We took 6 rooms for a family celebration. The staff could not do too much to help us. They treated us like their most important guests. Any problem was immediately dealt with and they cheerfully accommodated our allergies, requests and changes. We honestly felt we experienced the most helpful customer service we have come across in Israel. Special thanks to Moshe, Maggie, Meital and Shoshi, Motti on reception, Tomer on security and concierge. They made us feel welcome all week. The rooms are a good size and most with beautiful views of the beach. The food at breakfast has more than everything you might want. We also arranged a private Shabbat dinner for 40 people just before our daughters wedding. It exceeded all our expectations and was just perfect. Elan, the head chef, and Maggie on bookings went the extra mile to ensure that it should be an evening just as we wanted it. They made it easy for us and all our guests thought it a most special evening with great food. The Daniel has been a wonderful experience from beginning to end and I honestly can say that it is the best customer service we have experienced.

This is my fourth year at this hotel, I must mention the amazing level of customer service of this hotel, the great food and the good vibes everywhere in the hotel. I was with my wife and my three children, and everyone had a great time, we would definitely like to come again next year as we do every year. Many thanks to Moshe the great manager for wonderful hospitality and amazing customer service. Last year there was Zehavit who helped us a lot and now it's you, you guys are great!!! <3

The hotel design is inconsistent with a mixture of new and modern and old fashioned. The rooms are good in size, but not as clean as you would expect. The food is good with big variety , however, the floor of the dining room was very dirty. The location is great, right by the beach, but parking is a challenge and very expensive (the hotel has no parking place or an arrangement with nearby parking places)

I'm conflicted about this hotel. On the one hand most of the staff is nice, breakfast had a vegan section and the pool is great. On the other hand there is near to no parking and the area is only paid parking, the halls were filthy and the room had been sprayed with so much perfume it seemed it was covering up having not been cleaned.

This is an old hotel that seems to have been great in the past. It has a weird smell in the lobbies. Rooms are big but again, old. You won’t find an iron in the room, you need to go to an specific floor to a small area to iron. This is common in old hotels. No hair dryer either. Not a single battle of water in the room. Location is good, right on the beach, food is average. It’s a decent hotel but there are better options for the price.

Roaches and ants everywhere, parts of building deteriorating, no toilet paper in bathrooms, showerhead was broken, when you ask for something you get the dirtiest looks, manager over charged us and raised his voice then threatened to call police when reviewing bill as his tactic to get us to just leave and pay the over charge. Absolutely horrifying experience.

STAY WAY!!! The worst hotel I have been to, I did not pay for this as it was a business trip. to stay there was a nightmare, I arrive at 23:00 and there WAS NO ROOM FOR ME. they sent me to a smaller and cheaper room than the one my company paid for. I returned to the reception  and they said they did not have an available balcony room so they "upgraded" me to a ground floor suite. I arrived at the room at 23:30 and it was soooo dirty, like a dirty renovation. The bed was clean, so I was so tired that I slept and the next day asked them to clean it. the hotel looked old, there was a tall guy with glasses that was so rude to me. THE ATM Machine from the hotel stole 150 euros from me. This tall guy with glasses said it is not their problem and turned around and left me with NO HELP. for the reception  girl who tried to help , THEY DID NOT GIVE THE MONEY BACK!! the worst hotel in ISRAEL

We got really big room with view to the sea. The room was very clean. We also enjoyed quite reasonable Spa with inside swiming pool and Jacuzi. The food was Rich and Tasty plus service at the dining room is great . Zehavit ( Hotel manager assistant) is fantastic, very helpfull.

Like so many hotels in this amazing country, the Daniel is past it's prime. Time is not the friend of a hotel here. The lobby is fairly nice but the rest of of the property needs significant upgrades. The room I am staying in has a column in the center, old wood floors and windows that cannot block out any noise. It is located very well and has value for the cost BUT it's not a high end hotel at this point which is a shame due to the tremendous potential. The noise from neighbors (a massive wedding party) and construction is horrible. The smell in the hallway is unbearable as well. The room is located at -1 with poor signage and a lot of noise, adjacent to the dining room. Room service came knocking aggressively quite early, before 9am. The dining room floor where I am sitting as I write this is rusty and embarrassing looking, feels like a school cafeteria. The staff is nice and pleasant thus far. I wanted to follow up that the hotel sent a bottle of wine and fruit platter to try and make my stay better. I appreciate the gesture but politely declined it as I would not have eaten it or drank it. I do applaud the hotel for at least caring.

Our third time at the hotel and probably not the last. Clean hotel and excellent food. But the best part is the pools both indoor and outdoor And if you want to go to the beach, there is an easy passage through the hotel to the beach. The hotel environment is also really good, there are beach restaurants along the boardwalk and you can go to the marina in the evening, it's really nice.

Superb hotel very comfortable. Scenic views from the room balcony on to the beach and Mediterranean sea. Excellent staff, my bag was lost on my flight to Tel Aviv from London. I told Allon at the reception ant he phoned the airport. My bag was delivered within 3hrs. Thank you very much👍

Last Friday we stayed at the hotel, I have to say that I enjoyed every moment, the service was courteous, the rooms were clean, the food was excellent, not even one bad thing can be said, and many thanks to the host zehavit who heard we were celebrating and sent us a pampering fruit platter to the room, we will stay again There's a lot more.

Don’t come to this hotel with kids/babies. Don’t expect a yes for late checkout even if the place is empty. Nice place, stunning views. We did get one room upgraded which was less helpful than any of the other things we asked for.

We had our new year vacation here. At first they gave us the room that is not the same with my booking. The room has crib inside. The receptionist knows that we are couple without baby with us. My hubby complained and they moved us in the other room which is in Shizen. The room was facing the beach which is better. But the facility is not good. Theres a clog in the sink. The hair blower is not working. When you go out from the room there's a bucket beside the elevator cause theres a dripping goin on there😓. Food was fine the floor in the dining room has a lot of stain. All in all it's nots worth it.

I arrived with my partner for breakfast and spa at the Daniel Hotel on October 16, 2022. At breakfast we were with a couple of good friends, I was disappointed by the appearance of the dining room, dirty dishes on the tables, untidy tablecloths, stained carpet and electrical cables on the floor. The spa showers were terrible, old ceramic with mold stains, the changing room doors are dangerous. We complained to the supervisor of the dining room and my friend showed her pictures.

  • 4/5 Laura T. 11 months ago on Google
The photos. 1) The shower doesn’t hold the water. After the first shower, we had to use three towels to soak up the water on the floor and call for additional towels. This was my solution. 2) Terrible hair dryer. The hotel needs to upgrade their hairdryers. 3) The view for our room ☀️ My only other complaint is the lack of outlets, or the hotel could upgrade the outlets to provide for USB charging as well. We arrived early and in order to get into a room that was ready, we had to forego the room I booked (superior room) and received a complimentary upgraded room with partial sea view, high floor, and balcony. It was worth it, and thank you 🙏🏼 for accommodating us. Loved the tub. Since I pre-checked, check-in was a breeze and reception was very nice. Room was comfortable and clean, had a great night sleep. Very much appreciated the English speaking TV stations. The in-room coffee provided was lacking, would have been better to have the nespresso style coffee. Having a balcony was lovely. We spent time on the beach and the pool. The pool staff were a bit rude, and the pool bar lacked stock. The breakfast included had a lot of options. This hotel has a lot of potential to be a 5 Star, especially against the Ritz since this hotel is on the beach and the Ritz is on the marina. Needs upgrades. Overall, I was fairly happy with my stay, but the selling point is having a hotel on the beach. I would recommend the Daniel, the Herzliya beaches are pristine, and having direct access is a plus. I’d return.

We didn’t get the value for the money spent. Our room was dirty on arrival and took several attempts and needed detailed descriptions before it was acceptable, though still not perfect. Though the location is very nice, we will not be staying again

Day one (of three). Mixed reviews. Some employees quite helpful. Some very unpleasant. The air conditioner in the entrance hall feels almost non existent. The outdoor pool is large, clean and pleasant. If you want to utilize the indoor swimming pool you must pay (not mentioned on the site, at least as far as I noticed.) Will let you know how tomorrow goes.

Great location. We are here from US for a wedding. Hotel has. A beautiful setting right on the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel was very crowded with locals on summer vacation. It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with so many Israelis. Moshe Ben Moshe the hotel supervisor at the front desk was especially helpful to us. He helped us change restaurant reservations and was humorous and courteous. Fadi at the coffee bar at breakfast was also super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing . Try the shakshuka, Borekas and the multiple Israeli breakfast salads! Our room was expertly cleaned! Sorry I do not know our attendants name. The hotel hallways could use better air conditioning and the carpet needs to be replaced with tile or wood. But those little things did not affect us. The one thing the hotel does need is a parking garage. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It had been years since I had last been to the Daniel Hotel in Herzliya and it was a real disappointment. Didn’t stay in the hotel on this occasion but had a visitors day pass for the pool. The toilets in the pool area were in a disgusting state for a 5* hotel! I mean really really bad. One of the cubicles had faeces all over the wall, toilet seat and floor! I told one of the attendants, but he didn’t seem too bothered about it. I went to use the toilets by the restaurant instead and even those weren’t that presentable. The taps were lose, and no soap in any of the dispensers. Bearing in mind it was only around 11am they should have been full. You get your pool towels from a vending machine, which are really small compared and you can only get one per voucher! The sun beds had also seen better days. It’s such a shame because the pool area has become so run down and has put me off wanting to stay there in the future.

I stayed in the Daniel Hotel for almost a week (4/3/22-4/8/22), and my stay was simply incredible ! Probably one of the best Hotel in Herzliya. The room was clean, spacious, with a nice view, the facilities fully equipped, and the outside pool, just perfect ! LIAD KOREN (from public relations team) deserves a special mention for her kindness, availability and professionalism ! Will stay again at the Daniel for sure. Haim (#115).

It is very lovely here, I came here with my family and I must say the food here is so delicious and the room we got has the nicest view 🥰. I’m really having a good time and I definitely recommend this hotel. Location is perfect, close to everything.

Many items were lacking in the room...bath mat for when you get out of the shower. Couldn't find a clock in the room. Had to ask three different people in the restaurant for hot water in order to have a cup of tea with breakfast or lunch. I have no plans to return.

The food itself is at a very poor level, the cold salads are not inviting and give a feeling of recycle. The warm food is not tasty and the soup was turbid. close to the kitchen doors the smell is like pungent stench of junk and vomit every time the door is opened by one of the workers. The dinner desserts are very bad and it seems the confectioner is stuck somewhere in the eighties when they didn't know how to make kosher desserts (no dairy during meat meals). Two stars and not one for the reception staff. they were courteous and welcoming.

  • 2/5 Adina G. 2 years ago on Google
Reception staff not helpful. The advertised deluxe “sea view” room was only partial with a view of an old building when laying in the bed. Room was advertised as renovated and clearly was not, with old bathrooms. The cleaning staff and waiter staff, however, were polite.

Our stay at the Daniel was great. Most importantly, the attentive service of the staff is exemplary. They are polite and consistently trying to help and please. The rooms are nice and the views great. The pool area is perfect and the kids greatly enjoyed it. They have comfortable double beds to relax on in the pool area and I noticed them continuously emptying all the rubbish bins in the pool area. Liad from guest relations / PR is wonderful. She walks around the hotel asking if everything is ok and if anything is missing and takes care immediately of any shortcomings.

We are staying at the Daniel hotel for Pesach right now and the experience has been wonderful. Nice, clean facilities, beautiful pool and directly on a gorgeous beach, the food is delicious and the staff is warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful time at the Daniel Hotel in Herzliya. The staff was nice and pleasant and attended to all my needs. The room was clean and organized and the views were amazing. It was my first visit but I’m sure I’ll be back again.

Arriving well after "check-in time", we were made to wait an hour and a half for our room (because of computer problems), losing valuable beach/pool time. There was no effort by the staff to offer any sympathy or anything else for this serious inconvenience. It gave me plenty of time to notice how dirty the sofas in the lobby were, and how smelly the bathroom at -1 was. And on (un)cleanliness, we found a cockroach in the bathroom, and under the bed there was plastic debris suggesting it hadn't been swept before we arrived. At these prices, they can afford to take better care of basic hygiene. And being somewhat more friendly and having more generosity of spirit would not cost them anything either.

The hotel is excellent. I really enjoyed the seder for passover. The food was delicious and my favorite part it the beach view Eden and Liad from guest relations are so nice and generous. Also Albert the security guead is amazing, welcoming makes your day when entering the hotel.

The team was on top of everything, especially need to mention Liad Koren, who gave amazing feeling, was highly effective and service oriented and deserve to be Daniel hotel worker of the year! The hotel accommodation was in high level, and for sure I recommend all to stay there

Good location right on the beach. Exceptional breakfast buffet of cold and hot foods, all very fresh. Room was quite basic (37) and double bed was two singles together. TV kept turning itself off for some reason. Good shower and nice view of the beach. Great spa facilities and nice outdoor pool.

The breakfast was very poor Lack of choice, food was not fresh and poor service. Most hotels in Israel serve a fantastic breakfast and this was very substandard. Breakfast reminded me of a 1980s kibbutz but without the charm Spa is in an awful condition, rundown and feels dirty Overall very poor experience and would not recommend or go back

I don't usually leave negative reviews but I want to make sure others learn from our experience. TLDR: Accommodations were shabby (cockroach, peeling paint, crumbs in the bed) and staff often (5 examples) struggled to do their jobs / what they said they would do. Great location and good breakfast food, but we would recommend staying elsewhere. Accommodations: We were expecting "world class design" per the website but we were met our first day with a cockroach in the hallway, peeling paint and wallpaper and a general tired appearance of the room. We also discovered some crumbs in our bed after housekeeping cleaned the room. Pictures attached. Staff experiences: - The air conditioner was dripping water into a puddle on the floor. Maintenance came, and claimed it was fixed. The condensation continued dripping from the ceiling the rest of our visit, we just avoided it rather than spend more time on the issue - The room did not have a room service menu. We requested one be delivered. Then our son got tired and needed a nap. We put him down for a nap and I requested that they not deliver the menu because we didn't want to disrupt his nap. The front desk told me they would relay the information and not deliver the menu. Instead someone knocked on the door until we opened it, waking up our infant son. - Our room has two bathrooms. We only really used one of them. We couldn't figure out how to turn out the light in the other bathroom. We asked at the front desk if housekeeping could just turn out the light in the other bathroom, they said "yes of course". After housekeeping came, the light was still on. - The person in charge of helping guests get towels at the pool only speaks hebrew. I knew enough to communicate, but other guests struggled here. -The rooms do not come with "do not disturb" signs on the doors. I requested on at the front desk to make sure that no one would knock while my son was napping. I put it on the door, and when the staff returned my laundry, they knocked loudly multiple times.

We experienced fabulous views, gourmet meals, and a comfortable modernised accommodation. The staff (particularly Zehavit and the dining room staff) went above and beyond in their service. The pool and spa are first rate. We eagerly look forward to our next stay.

I am absolutely appalled at this hotel and its management! I stayed here while in israel for a wedding. The top I was wearing for the pre-wedding party was laid ontop of the bed in my room when they came to clean my room (after asking them multiple times, they finally came so late at 4pm so I had to get ready while they cleaned with no privacy!) . The guy stripped my bed and somehow took my top along with it. Long story short, I never received the top back the hotel refused to take responsibility for the loss of the top or reimburse me, they try to offer me 30% of a night if I stayed with them again, which resulted in me still paying more than I originally paid per night. I don’t know why they expect me to spend money on a hotel that just basically stole $200 for me and they refused to reimburse me for the top!!!!! Although Goldie (assistant to the GM) was very nice the General Manager himself refused to do anything, absolutely disgraceful and shame on him!! The hotel was filthy the service was horrific. I also wasn’t able to check into my room until 8:30pm even though they said it would be ready by 5pm (already a late check in due to Shabbat, but 8:30pm is ridiculous!!) I will never see at The Daniel again and nor should anyone, they are thieves and a disgrace to Israel!!!

The hotel has a nice view over the Mediterranean Sea. But the most amazing moment when I needed help from the front desk and this guy named Rami Zoher (or Zaher?) helped me out in such an amazing way.
