My
travel
agent
had
booked
two
nights
at
the
Hotel
Europa
with
breakfast
for
myself
and
my
assistance
dog
Leila.
I
must
emphasize
at
the
beginning
that
the
hotel
was
advised
that
I
had
an
assistance
dog
On
arrival
from
Munich
airport
on
21
October
after
a
20
hour
flight,
and
3
hours
in
Singapore
in
transit
from
Australia,
the
reception
staff
were
really
nice
polite
and
welcoming.
Unfortunately
it
stopped
with
those
two
receptions
staff
although
they
did
inform
me
to
my
surprise
that
I
would
be
required
to
pay
an
extra
€15
per
night
for
cleaning
because
of
my
dog.
I
suggested
they
check
on
that
given
that
I
had
already
paid
and
booked
in
advance.
I
went
out
after
getting
my
room
into
the
city
and
returning
in
the
afternoon
into
the
hotel
was
literally
screamed
at
by
the
male
receptionist
saying
"get
that
dog
out
of
the
hotel"!
There
was
no
attempt
to
ask
as
to
whether
the
dog
should
have
been
there;
whether
I
had
an
ID
card
or
otherwise.
My
dog
does
wear
a
very
distinctive
red
vest
with
notification
that
it
is
an
assistance
dog
and
I
carry
an
ID
card
to
this
effect.
This
led
to
something
have
a
verbal
altercation
and
a
very
disturbing
and
stress
inducing
situation.
I
was
less
than
impressed.
The
female
staff
member
did
eventually
apologize
but
the
male
staff
member
did
not.
Going
into
breakfast
was
also
a
problem
with
staff
members
not
being
aware
that
I
had
an
assistance
dog
on
both
mornings.
Topping
this
off
apparently
were
complaints
from
guests
that
they
didn't
see
why
they
had
to
share
the
restaurant
with
a
dog.
On
checking
out
I
was
advised
that
an
extra
€15
a
night
was
required
from
management
and
I
suggested
to
the
reception
staff
that
they
perhaps
revisit
this
or
I
would
be
submitting
a
formal
complaint
to
the
anti
discrimination
section
of
the
justice
department
in
Bonn!
Management
apparently
responded
with
it
was
not
necessary
anymore.
All
up
a
most
horrific
visit
and
stay
at
this
hotel.
At
$250
a
night
I
was
paying
for
stress
anxiety
and
depression
inducing
behaviour
by
both
the
staff
and
the
management
of
the
Hotel
Europa.
If
anyone
has
any
concerns
as
to
discrimination
issues
I
would
not
recommend
they
stay
at
this
hotel
for
ethical
reasons.
It
is
probably
one
of
the
most
unethically
managed
hotels
of
which
I
am
aware.
It
is
apparent
discrimination
is
acceptable
at
this
location!
In
five
star
hotels
in
Australia
I
have
had
absolutely
no
problem
so
whatsoever!
Welcome
to
Munich!!
