I would stay here again! Everything was clean, water was hot and cold when you wanted it to be, and the bathroom was in excellent repair. Beds were comfortable. Although our room faced the street, closing the windows made the room super quiet. Breakfast was varied in selections and of high quality. We had a car, so their private, underground garage was a huge convenience. And it was reasonably priced!

The location is good, easy access to central station and tourists places. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of choices and varieties. I asked for a quiet room which my room was really quiet and I am very happy. But I asked for a room with bathtub when I booked the hotel, I still just got a room with shower (but the type of room I booked should have shower). After checked in, I saw a used towel hanging at the back of the bathroom door, guess the cleaning staff did not see that. I also put cups and glasses I have used together to make sure the cleaning staff could see and replace them, but they didn't.

We were on holiday in Munich and stayed at this hotel. Everything we needed was provided. We enjoy walking but public transport was readily available close by. The breakfast was superb. A choice of hot or cold food was provided and it was the best I have experienced in Europe. Great stay. Thanks to Hotel Europa for your great hospitality👍

Might be a bit pricey but it's worth the price. Really liked my stay in this hotel. Electric kettle was very useful. But the mini bar was just unnecessary, i would have preferred just have a mini fridge. Also it was wayyy too hot in the room, air conditioning wasn't working and even without having full heating on i was sweating under the blanket and if i open the window I'd have the noise from the street as my room was facing the street. So that's the downside. Also the sink was clogging a lot and that was just annoying as well as barely working hair dryer. Also cleaners were a bit too loud in the mornings and that wakened me up many times. But the location is great. You can reach old town just by walking. There are some grocery stores nearby. Definitely would want to stay here again.

Hotel Europa is located near the 20/21 Tram and only 28 min walk form the main train station. The rooms are very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast is very affordable and has a huge selection. The staff were very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A very good hotel indeed. Super clean, everything is renovated and new, quiet, cozy, and an amazing shower. The staff is super attentive and helpful. Furthermore, the location is very good, close to a supermarket, train and tram station. I recommend it to anyone in Munich.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be disappointed. Breakfast is very good. The staff is very friendly. The location is perfect to discover the city center and the other interesting parts of the town.

Good position close to S and U metro stations. It is also not so far away from the city center. The breakfast is satisfactory (best savory food rather than sweet one). The room seems good at the first glance (pillows are not so good in quality) but the bathroom is not at the same level (slightly dirty, mold on the shower glass and small damaged things around).

The rooms were tidy, but the TV lacked English channels or a Netflix connection. The minibar offered reasonably priced beverages. The location near the main road resulted in some noise, but it was manageable. Breakfast was satisfactory, offering a diverse selection. We had access to underground parking for an additional charge. Our extra requests, unfortunately, went unmet. The hotel did not have a gym or other amenities. Dining options in the hotel were limited, and there were no specific menus for children at dinner or breakfast. Additionally, one of the rooms was overly warm with no way to regulate the temperature.

A great hotel to stay in Munich! Just a short walk to the tram station that takes you straight into the main part of town (Marienplatz). The room was clean and reasonably sized. It was quiet and the cleaning was good. The only issue we had was a water pressure issue on the last two days of our stay. Excellent breakfast with a lot of options. Will be staying here again

An excellent place to stay Hospitable, clean, quiet, cozy. Spacious. Well lighted, with large windows everywhere. Nicely and tastefully decorated (in a mainly modern, functional style, with new materials, but in which you may also find some subtle touches of the 70’s special nostalgia…) . Impeccably maintained and managed, in all regards. It is also well situated, notably very close to a tramway station. Excellent buffet-breakfast. The whole, at a fair and reasonable price. A special mention has to be expressed, regarding Sebastian, at the Reception. Professional, sharp, focused, dynamic and efficient, he literally goes out of his way to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Not only does he respond adequately to your requests, but he even takes the initiative to offer you something that you might need, but that you don’t want to bother him with it. He is such a nice and positive human being, with such a formidable smile on his face, that you want to stay at the Reception a bit longer, just to chit-chat with him.

I stayed here for 8 days on business. The back room was really quiet, super comfortable and very clean. I got a lot of work done at the hotel and enjoyed staying here. The breakfast service was unbelievable: the variety & quality far exceeded what I'd expect at at a 5 star+ hotel and really made my stay. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as well.

Fast reception service, cheap and tasty breakfasts, clean rooms. The location is also great - 15 minutes of tram and walking and you get to the city centre, and the same 15 minutes will get you to the beautiful Olympic park. Wifi at more than 200 mbs was also very nice

We had a great time here as a family with one schoolchild in January 2023. The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful and very good quality. We had a large room in the quiet back annex of the building. The location is in a big street in central Munich, not far from the central station and the Old Town. My only quibble is that the lights of the courtyard could be reduced during the night.

At first I believed it was going to be a good experience until several issues popped up on the first day as they never canceled the initial reservation at that point the lady became a bit rude. Then we were not aware that the hotel doesn't have washcloth, we asked in German and the guy at the desk thought we were stupid, he was rude. The clerks working the desk on Thursday morning were very friendly and energetic. However, I would probably not choose this hotel as a first choice next time!

Vielen Dank

Been there a few times for businesses, it's always a fairly pleasant stay with nothing major to complain about. The Europa hotel is a safe haven away from home, comfortable and enjoyable. Only minor issue we had on our last trip was the room cleaning that was skipped one day due to staying until mid morning in the room.

Nice hotel. looks to have been refurbished recently. Had a room facing the street which was a little noisy because of the tram passing outside but not too problematic. Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was great. Food was fresh and had plenty of choices. Had food one evening in the restaurant. staff were friendly and food was decent. Overall a good hotel and a pleasant stay.

Very nice accommodations and friendly staff. The hotel is located in a great location. Breakfast is complementary with lots of selection. I arrived super early from a long flight. They allowed me to check in early. I love smaller chain hotels as they tend to have more charm than the larger chains.

Good staff and breakfast. Rooms also good size and clean. In lower (level2) street side room the tram and street noice comes little to inside. Level 3 was quiet and probably all up from that. We tested also hotel restaurant and staff and the food was good.

The best thing for me was the staff , because it was really hard to find a smiley people in Munich except the hotel. Their response time was great for any question or inquiry. The breakfast was great and met my expectations.

The location is great just 10/15 minutes walk from the main town Easy walking distance from the Lufthansa express bus stop. Food is really nice . Breakfast has a huge selection. The rooms are clean modern and well equipped.

Pleasant hotel on the edge of the center. Trouble-free parking in the hotel's underground garage for €13. The room was tidy and clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The beds were just hard. In-room safe, electric kettle or mini-fridge. The free WiFi worked well and reliably. The advantage is the presence of an armchair and a corner sofa, so you don't have to sit on the bed. We only tried the hotel restaurant as a bar - they serve excellent local Hacker Pschorr beer from the brewery not far from the hotel. The breakfast was great - they had everything we could think of, all fresh and replenished.

Friendly welcome and assist with check-in. Room comfortable and location good - easy walk or tram ride to town, supermarket across the road and eateries about the place. Would definitely stay again next time I am able to go to Munich.

We happened to stay during the last weekend of Oktoberfest, and as we have not been in Munich before it is hard to comment on relative cost. But is was our most expensive stay in 6 weeks in Europe. Room was a good size and comfortable but the lounge was a chaise style and two people could not sit comfortably to read or have a coffee together. The bed was large but round and took some getting used to. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the Saturday and Sunday nights of our stay. But the bar was open and some guests chose to sit in the courtyard talking until 3am which meant that we had to close our windows on the warm nights. The included breakfast was great with lots of variety. Staff were courteous and helpful.

Very spacious and quiet room looking out onto the courtyard. Fantastic breakfast with a wide choice. All staff were very friendly and polite. Close to the tram which takes less than 10 minutes to the city centre. Some great restaurants nearby as well as bakeries and Lidl. We will definitely stay here again.

Bad room service at Hotel Europa. We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, and for one day we did not get our rooms cleaned ie beds were not made, bins were not emptied and towels were not changed. This happened even though we put a sign on our door asking to have our room cleaned. Another day we had also run out of toilet paper and whilst the rest of the room had been cleaned, the toilet paper was not refilled and we had to call reception to specifically ask for this. The staff at the hotel apologised and offered a cup of coffee as compensation but this is below par of what can be expected of a 4-star hotel. You get the same level of service in a 3-star hotel (and sometimes better service) so save your money and book a 3-star hotel or go to some other 4-star hotel. Hotel Europa has nice rooms but for the price you are paying it is not worth it and should really have 3 stars.

My travel agent had booked two nights at the Hotel Europa with breakfast for myself and my assistance dog Leila. I must emphasize at the beginning that the hotel was advised that I had an assistance dog On arrival from Munich airport on 21 October after a 20 hour flight, and 3 hours in Singapore in transit from Australia, the reception staff were really nice polite and welcoming. Unfortunately it stopped with those two receptions staff although they did inform me to my surprise that I would be required to pay an extra €15 per night for cleaning because of my dog. I suggested they check on that given that I had already paid and booked in advance. I went out after getting my room into the city and returning in the afternoon into the hotel was literally screamed at by the male receptionist saying "get that dog out of the hotel"! There was no attempt to ask as to whether the dog should have been there; whether I had an ID card or otherwise. My dog does wear a very distinctive red vest with notification that it is an assistance dog and I carry an ID card to this effect. This led to something have a verbal altercation and a very disturbing and stress inducing situation. I was less than impressed. The female staff member did eventually apologize but the male staff member did not. Going into breakfast was also a problem with staff members not being aware that I had an assistance dog on both mornings. Topping this off apparently were complaints from guests that they didn't see why they had to share the restaurant with a dog. On checking out I was advised that an extra €15 a night was required from management and I suggested to the reception staff that they perhaps revisit this or I would be submitting a formal complaint to the anti discrimination section of the justice department in Bonn! Management apparently responded with it was not necessary anymore. All up a most horrific visit and stay at this hotel. At $250 a night I was paying for stress anxiety and depression inducing behaviour by both the staff and the management of the Hotel Europa. If anyone has any concerns as to discrimination issues I would not recommend they stay at this hotel for ethical reasons. It is probably one of the most unethically managed hotels of which I am aware. It is apparent discrimination is acceptable at this location! In five star hotels in Australia I have had absolutely no problem so whatsoever! Welcome to Munich!!

Perfect location, close to the centre, comfy beds, nice parking. Boring breakfast after 3 days, having the same menu ( only sweets changed) but the buffet was at least refilled from the staff regularly. The cleanliness in the room should be done more carefully. The lady, on the first day,she put my used glass at the place where clean glasses should be put and on the second day,she left all the used glasses at the table instead of leaving us clean glasses for the next day. Overall we had a great stay!

Everything was great. I wasn't interested in the mini bar but a better selection of tea and coffee in the room would be great though in the restaurant there was ample choice. Evening meals were very good and quick. Breakfast was also excellent.

Brand new modern bathrooms in white with latest faucets including "rain dance" shower. Friendly staff, spacious breakfast area also recently modernized. Outdoor seating area also available in the "hinterhof". Underground parking for €10 /day is fair considering it is tight and uses double-decker parking for space efficiency. Not recommended for tall and wide vehicles. Central location of the hotel is only 4 tram stops to central station and Olympic Park.

In period from evening 09 September till 13th of September I stayed at Hotel Europa Munich. It was a nice experience staying there. The hotel is fully adjusted to current times because of the COVID pandemic. The room was maintained clean together with the bathroom. There are available the online check-in and also the check-out at the end of stay. The breakfast was very good and was actually a reach one. Also all rules because of Pandemic were respected. This I appreciated very much. I did not stay at this hotel for the first time. I stayed there also for a couple of times last year. I am intending to visit it again in the future. As a issue that I encountered was the online check-out. I tried from my phone and also tablet to go through check-out process but I did not succeed. I got an error message that something went wrong and that I have to try again or to as the reception. I tried for a couple of times but did not succeed so I made the check-out at the reception. I hope that this will be fixed in the future. Also, the power supply socket of the kettle, above the table, did not work. So, we needed to look for some other from the room.

I checked in early after about 30 hours travelling. I appreciated the early checkin package including breakfast. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was excellent, having a variety of hot and cold food and drinks.

Air conditioner was deactivated centrally for winter months and it was not mentioned anywhere. We had a baby with us sleeping and the room was too warm for 3 people. We could not open window as it was 2° C cold outside. There was no alternative. Ultimately next day we had to change the room. They moved us to the top floor which was super chilly (with windows closed) and was praying that Baby doesnt get cold. This is not expected from a 4 star hotel in Munich.

Would I stay here again: No Staff: The staff is very helpful and accommodating Property: Not sure what other comments are referring to but this place is ageing very fast! The carpet in the hallway and inside the room is full of stains. The curtains are not great either. It might be a new property but looks like it's being neglected Beds: no complaints, very comfy mattress and pillows Location: If you're someone who walks everywhere then this is far from ideal. Public transport is at the doorstep if you are not the sort who walkabout For the price, I can certainly get a better more central and clean hotel. So, for that reason, I won't visit again.

What can I say ... our stay was absolutely perfect! The welcome to reception, the room particulary spacious, the breakfast varied and plentiful, the bar, we had dinner on the evening of December 31, the dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. there is a tram station 150m away to easily get to the city center I looked for a fault, not easy ... the bed cushions were too soft ;-)

We only stayed one night, rooms on the street side are rather loud with traffic. Good, plentiful breakfast. Be careful of the bicycle lane right in front of the hotel as those cyclists are ready to mow you down if you're loading luggage on a bus.

Room was big and the hotel is close to the main touristic areas! We did not even have an iron (and took us a long time to get one) and it was surprising to me that there was no phone in the room to call the front desk. I also found the bed uncomfortable.

  • 3/5 Alice C. 1 year ago on Google
Everything was great, except my room was next to an administrative office, which was extremely loud every morning very early. Yelling and fighting or maybe it’s just how German sounds, an awful way to wake up, especially if it’s 2 hours earlier than planned. Don’t get a room on the ground floor.

Hotel is easily accessible via Sandstrasse tram stop. Catch the tram 21 from nord stop at the Munich station. Do note that tram stop is on the other street. There are many cafes and restaurants near by. Also there are Lidl and dm supermarts. Rooms are pretty good and comfortable. Plus there is free buffet breakfast. The options are limited but still plenty to enjoy. Plus it has prey good bar cum restaurant. Staff is also very friendly and polite. Overall a pleasant stay.

Zero stars if I could - overall terrible experience. I arrived at 3pm and was given a room that hadn’t been cleaned at all. The check-in time is at 2pm, so there’re no excuses why my room is not ready. They directed me to sofa when I returned to the reception and made me wait another half hour for a room. No apologies given and no offers of water. Manager was really rude when I asked if they can find me another room. On the day of check out, house keeping walked in twice while I was sleeping. They should have known I’m checking out on that day, so by industry standards, house keeping should come after I check out.

We stayed here for 5 nights and were so impressed with everything about the hotel! From the beginning, the staff throughout the hotel are extremely welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a superior room, which had a balcony and sitting area so it was extra spacious and comfortable. The decor is simple and modern, and made the room very appealing. We especially enjoyed our breakfast, which had a good variety and different German foods that changed throughout our stay so we got to try different foods. The location is also very convenient, with the tram and underground stop close by, along with a grocery store and pharmacy directly across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Munich!!

Staff, location and room size will make you happy for sure. I am reserving Stayed here in room with a big double bed and a sofa bed. Room still had walking space which was good. Everything was clean. There is always improvement scope though. Like coffee machine had water filled already. I do not know if this was done for us or was left by previous guests. With electric cars becoming increasingly popular, it would be useful to install charging points. Plus, we need to drive extremely carefully as the parking spots are quite tight. One suggestion could be to transform garden into a little cafe or bier garden. I think it can used better. The hotel is just outside of busy city centre but we could simply walk there or take tram, scooter if you will. There is lidl opposite to hotel in case you need something.

The hotel has great access to public transportation. We stayed here for Oktoberfest and it was about 1 mile walk to the grounds but took an Uber a few times due to the weather. We had an issue with our room and the staff went above and beyond to get it resolved quickly while we were out for the day. The breakfast was great and the rooms well cared for. We would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Hotel Europa was a great location, easy to access trains, trams and get taxis. The hotel was very comfortable and nice. Large bathroom, comfortable bed, and I loved that you could open the windows. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet and nice restaurant for dinner if you can't make it out anywhere. I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

This is a really good hotel extremely well cleaned during the week by the conscientious chambermaids and a very good buffet, especially for meat eaters. Very easy access by walking, trams, and scooters around the town. Quiet and very comfortable. Tea and coffee in room. Large bathroom. Large TV. Con receptionists need charm school.

Stayed for 5 nights Really nice hotel and reasonably priced. Our room looked onto the back garden so was quiet. Room was a good size with a modern bathroom and big shower. 2 minutes walk from a tram station. Breakfast is good if you aren't vegan. Staff at reception are helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
