I had the pleasure of dining at Jamavar in The Leela, Delhi, and it was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm ambiance that set the tone for an exquisite dining experience. The menu at Jamavar is a treasure trove of Indian flavors, and each dish we ordered was a culinary delight. The use of authentic spices and ingredients showcased the rich heritage of Indian cuisine. The highlight was the impeccable tandoori dishes, bursting with smoky flavors and tenderness. The service was exceptional; the staff was not only attentive but also well-versed in the menu, making excellent recommendations. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was top-notch. Jamavar is a culinary gem in Delhi, offering a journey through India's diverse flavors in every bite. Whether you're a local or a visitor, I highly recommend indulging in this gastronomic delight at The Leela.

Last night, I enjoyed a delightful meal at Jamavar—an experience that left a lasting impression. The welcoming ambiance upon entering set the perfect tone for the evening. The service was flawless, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. We chose the chef's tasting menu, and each course was a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were exceptional, complemented by stunning presentation, and the wine pairing enhanced the overall dining experience.

Restaurant is inside the Leela Palace hotel which we staying at. Based on the really good TripAdvisor reviews I decided to book. I told the lady at the front it was for my partner’s birthday and she just responded with okay - no special mention was given during dining. The ambience is really nice and everything you’d expect in a high end restaurant but, the food was a real let down. We got the crispy potatoes as a starter (feeds 4) and it was really sweet so we didn’t finish it. Chicken and lamb biriyani was standard - we had better at another place which was more affordable. The only thing that was nice was the black daal, fish curry and veg curry we got. Overall experience was very standard and not somewhere I’d visit again - there are much better places to eat in Delhi.

lovely dining experience at Jamawar. the food is excellent! Hosts are very hospitable including Mr Hazarika, Dishant and Hrithik. Went for our wedding anniversary dinner and they really made it special for us. The Chef met us personally and we were presented with a complimentary anniversary cake with candles! thank you so much Team Jamawar! the food is incredibly good!

One of the most delish Indian food I have ever eaten. I am vegetarian so had the paneer dish and the black lentils. Cooked to perfection. And the service is nothing short of impeccable. The opulent surroundings make this a perfect treat! Highly recommend.

We tried to eat at this restaurant. We booked a reservation for a birthday at least a month in advance. We confirmed a reservation. The week before the reservation, we were told that their system didn't register our reservation. Now we would have to book again and now there was a rs.5000 deposit. This place is a scam. Do not eat here!

FOREIGNERS BEWARE. This restaurant discriminates their Indian vs. foreign (non-Indian) guests. We were only given drinks menu and set dinner menu (choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian sets) upon arrival. The set dinners were not inspiring at all for us, but we decided to order anyway as we were very tired from a long trip. After we placed our order, I noticed that the table next to us (Indian guests) received a different set of menus. When they placed their order, I knew instantly that they ordered ala carte dishes. My husband cancelled our set dinner order and asked for ala carte menu immediately. As it turned out, the ala carte dishes were much better and there are many of them to choose from. Our bill came out to a little over INR 5K for two. Had we ordered set dinners, it's INR 4K for vegatarian & INR4.5K for non-vegetarian. You can conclude yourself why they discriminate their guests.

Extremely bad experience. The service staff was not just inefficient but also discourteous. Went with family and immediately everything including food was a bad experience. It's nothing what you expect from a fine dining experience.

The restaurant reopened recently and we visited for a family dinner. The service was the worst I have ever seen in a 5 star. The food was served cold and delayed. Specially the breads the serves us cold stale precooked naans and rotis like we were at a wedding buffet. Waste of time and money.

Service was great but food was not per 5 star standards. For 2 we paid 10000 and the main course was super spicy that we can’t even ate the food. The plates were all had scratches and table setup was not up to 5 star standards. Food was cold.

Excellent experience. Chef Shamsher took personal care. Good nonveg starters especially the roasted chicken. Yummy dal makhni. Breads could have been better. Tahsin was one enthusiastic server. Although it seems that this place is just an annexe of Cube, with no specific decor or theme, this restaurant is worth a visit. Will make a trip again in this small and cosy and friendly joint.

Amazing experience. Good food and even better service. Dal Jamavar and chicken tikka masala was very good and highly recommend. Achari aloo wasn't good and can be avoided. Paneer tikka for starters was good. Strawberry ice tea was awesome. Had taken the sparkling rosé bottle which was a good choice. Can go for a formal sit down dinner with family or professional colegues. They allow kids as well. On lobby level, so easily accessible by differently abled.

Nice upscale Indian restaurant in the Leela. The menu has some cool and different dishes (try the double cooked leg of lamb!) The dal is rich and creamy and great wine selection. Also the service was top notch with Sikhinder.

Would not rate the experience as high. I feel disappointed after visiting Leela palace this time. They are supposed to be epitome of luxury. However, the experience at Jamavar - their lobby level Indian restaurant has been a wash out. The menu is good, the place offers an excellent ambiance, a well curated menu, excellent beverage choices but the service is beyond par. Sub par attentive servers. Though they were trying their best to offer a good experience. I feel that they are not sufficiently trained to handle a fine dine indian restaurant. I would recommend with caution. One of the reason to go would be the the Leela brand and a good menu. Can be switched for better choice around. All the best Leela. We have high expectations from you 😊

The warm ambience beckons you to indulge in tradition cuisine with perfect lighting and colour combinations. The seating is a bit huddled except for the beautiful canopied family corners done in red that assure exclusiveness. Do spare a glance at the intricate paper mache' brocade on the well laid table that connects to the Pashmina root of Jamavar. Mr. Sachin and Mr. Negi will be gracious and keen to share details of the delicacies you order. The fiery Rasam is apt for incessant rains. Kurkure Bhendi is worth a try to start with; its tangy and sans the omnipresent chick pea flour which was something different. South Indian prawn fry served on a base of banana leaf is relishing. Do indulge in the classic meetha paan that soothes the palate as you exit.

I went for dinner with my office colleagues to celebrate some crucial business milestones we achieved. Idea was to celebrate with one of the best in Delhi, however i must say the food was not at all upto the mark. Although I understand the the expenses for these hotels are mostly for ambience, however you can’t just ignore the main part which is food, the exact reason why one is actually visiting. I can certainly tell that i can have much better taste from a regular 2 star restaurant with 15-20% of the charge i paid to Jamavar restaurant. To add-on, i had to plan for another dinner just one week later and i chose Loya, Taj this time and i can say they are still in my go-to list for future as well, but surely not Leela.

Visited the place for a formal dinner... Firstly the food was just awesome ! The paneer, the daal and other dishes were just too tasty. While the price is on the higher side, sure this a very great fine dining place for those looking for authentic Indian food. While I a vegetarian, my colleagues who tasted the Non-vegetarian food were impressed as well. Good service as there were couple of waiters ready to help us.

If there's a word worst than Pathetic, I will use that to describe the taste , service and ambience. Looks like the chef doesn't even know what North Indian food means. On the name of Aloo papri chat what we were served was thick stale paapdi piece and namesake aloo dipped in some overly sweet sauce ... ufff... a roadside paapdi is 100x better. The servers after serving first portion went missing... we had to ask for onions with main course.. no finger bowl ...no mouth freshener And the portion of each dish was very less. Overall bad bad bad experience.. wouldn't recommend anyone to ever visit this place.

I have been to the London Jamavar and really loved the food there so decided to celebrate my friends birthday here. We were 4 of us and it was a Monday night so relatively not the busiest night of the week. Service was slow for both food and drinks Some beers were not available & the beer I had was not super chilled ! Starters ! We ordered the mix grill non veg and I think for the standard of Leela the food was ordinary and super expensive… Main courses very good, black Jamavar daal was excellent and curries were overall better than starters ! Lamb curry was good… I think we paid 6k INR a head for dinner & drink’s & it wasn’t value for money… I guess the wines are super overpriced anyways in India.. paid 4000 for a Spanish Verdejo which was decent but not special … Not Sure if I want to come back

We had an early dinner at Jamavar, The Leela Palace New Delhi. We were 6 ladies for dinner. I had roasted poppadum, and a simple order of vegetable coconut stew with green peas rice. If you are a coconut lover, then this dish is for you. The stew was well prepared and aromatic. Our dessert was the Gulab Jamun. You will have to try Paan (leaf chewing) on your way out for mouth refreshment and healthy digestion, either you love it or not.

Although the food was fabulous, the service was so terrible that it ruined the dinner with my family. They did not offer us any drinks or drink menu, did not have napkins for the table, the soup was warm and was served in pots that would usually hold the main courses, the soup was not hot, the waiter gave a misogynistic explanation as to why were not offered drinks, and after all of this, he delays serving us our main course as he was too busy flirting with a table of girls. The apologies were half hearted. If you don't care about service and just the food, this is the place for you. Trust me when I say that chaat places have better customer service than this restaurant does.

It is a gorgeous looking upscale indian restaurant. The menu is short and sweet with the usual North Indian favorites. The food is good, nothing out of the ordinary. You will not be disappointed but you won't be blown away either. The service is good, but not to the mark for a 5 star. As an eg. We had to keep asking for water to be refilled. We were guests at the Leela, so it was an easy visit, but I won't likely visit it specifically for anything.

👍👍 Absolutely love their rice combos. Paneer rice is my all time favourite. Great option for dinner, if you work nearby. If you're looking for a place for quick bites, then you need to visit this place.
