Don't understand the hype around it. The food is average. We ordered their special Maharaja Thali and palak paneer and missi roti combo. The only good thing was Dal makhani, everything else was average. Also had to wait almost an hour to get entry during the weekend

Gulati is one of the best places to have North Indian food in Delhi. While the Butter chicken is their star dish, at Veg Gulati, Dal Makhani takes the cake. Must try!

Great ambience and very courteous and kind staff. The Tandoori items were good. The kababs were crisp and soft, but too greasy. The Kadhai Paneer wasn’t good though. There were few pieces of paneer, and too much over spiced vegetables that ruined the flavor. Gulab Jamun didn’t taste very fresh, but the kheer was unique and delicious. Overall, great place to have vegan food in a cozy setting, but don’t order Kadhai Paneer.

Veg North Indian food restaurant. Best part is that it’s 100% veg otero am and it gives to taste of Gulati which is famous since 1959. Veg Gulati is right on pa data road and open till late hours till about 2:00 AM and it’s one of the best place to have a good dinner.

Food is awesome. They offer buffet lunch consisting of Veg and And Non Veg both in around a thousand bucks. The quality time f food is simply great. The place is a little crowded though.

Worst restaurant. Food quality is very bad and tasteless. Because of location they are charging very high. Every dish cost is min 600-800. Service of restaurant is also 3rd class. We have to call the waiter multiple times for taking and providing the order then only they will listen. The size of restaurant and table is also very limited. 6 person can't accommodate at one table and they are very rude to provide two table. Conclusion becuase of their location and hipe they are looting the peoples.

A very good place for North Indian vegetarian food in this part of Delhi ! Though they are more famous for non veg ! This veg sibling is a good place for vegetarian people. I tried Makke di roti & sarso saag, tamdoori pineapple, veg pulav. Dishes are pricey compared to other fine dine restaurants but location justifies that. Gulati's is one of the most famous and long standing restaurant in Delhi. This is the original one located in Pandara road and everyday it's packed to my knowledge. Beware that waiting times can be really long and they don't take reservations per say. My uncle was here from the US and wanted to have some nice North Indian Veg food and this was the only place which came to our mind. We reached there pretty late at around 9:45pm and yet we had to wait for sometime , not too much , like 5-10 minutes for our table , that also on a Wednesday. The nonveg Gulati's had even more waiting and that's a much bigger restaurant aswell. Personally I came here after ages and the restaurant has been renovated and is more modern yet has that classic vibe . I generally get it delivered to my place and so do many famous celebrities and VVIPs , though sometimes they even come to dine in , but mostly get it delivered . We ordered some of the classics and it took around 10 minutes or so to get started. Food review is as follows - 1) Tandoori Pineapple - One of our favourites is this tandoori pineapple . 6 pieces of it were served in the portion . The pineapple was marinated with a wonderful decently hot and spicy masala which really complements the sweet flavour of the Pineapple. The pineapple was grilled/tandoored to perfection and was very juicy aswell. Rating it 5/5. 2) Daal Makhni - Gulati's Daal Makhni is one of the best in business and one of my favourites aswell. The daal is rich and creamy , very smokey and hits all the correct notes. We ordered different rotis with it and all were enjoyable with the Indian breads. The daal makhni also goes very well with the sirka pyaaz they serve on the side. Rating this 5/5. 3) Paneer Butter Masala - Cottage Cheese cubes aka Paneer cooked in a very rich tomato and onion based curry with loads of spices. The paneer is super soft and the portion comes with a generous amount of it. The gravy is thicker in nature and full of wonderful spices , which maybe a bit spicy for some but not much for me personally. The onions also add a nice crunch to the dish. Overall a great dish but Shahi Paneer is still my favourite and is more close to the Butter Chicken which Nonveg Gulati's is really famous for. Rating this 5/5. Service is always great here and the servers do take care of every guest very well. Great experience and wonderful food. Yes prices are on a higher side but it justifies for the quality and quantity. We paid 3000 or a bit more for all this and the cold drinks and Indian breads and also packed some of the food for home as it's rich food .

Well known place for lip smacking north Indian and Mughlai fare. Although the look and feel of the restaurant is dated, it does serve the same quality food with rather generous portions.

Ok, I never thought my rating for this place will ever dip to anything below 5. For me on a scale of 1 to 5, this place was always a 6. Well unfortunately not anymore. The food was above average, but not worthy of 4 stars. This is still a good place to eat, but it just isn't great anymore and I am really disappointed. In the last 15+ years, I would have taken over 5p first timers along with me to this place with a strong recommendation. This time, though, i felt let down and the person who i took with me would have been wondering how poor my standards are. After all, we were in Delhi and getting above average North Indian food is a given. This place is not known for its ambience. It was never known for it and infont fault this place for it. The servers are really nice and helpful and efficient. So no complaints there too. At the prices that you pay at this place, there is no longer value received. First timers, well i wouldn't stop you from going. Regulars like me, i hope you have a better experience than me. I hope the management, doesn't simply rest on past achievements and keep up the wonderful food that i associate with this place. Disappointed but not yet giving up yet!

Not for budget travellers. We were on our Delhi trip and ended up having a day's lunch there. The restaurant is pretty small with a beautiful ambience. The service is good but not so comfortable for Non Hindi speakers as English couldn't do much there. The food is decent but price is high. That isn't fine.
