UPDATE. The inside and kitchen are back, and thank God cause it's hot and their AC works. Bar didn't change but they got rid of that wall and made fancy bathrooms. I usually stop here Sunday mornings for my hangover Bloody Elizabeth's before I ride out of town. This was oddly the first time I've been in the garden as it was always pleasantly dim inside. The inside bar is currently being renovated which facilitated the move and lack of options on the menu? The mussels and parm fries are on point. Good selection of beer, cheap and boogie options available with a rotating menu(untapped?). The aforementioned Bloody is also good, and plenty of TVs for the games. Prices are average and they do have specials. It's just off the Lafitte Greenway and near the bayou, so if you're out and about it's a good pit stop. And it's close enough to walk from the Canal St Trolley (47/48). If grapes are more your thing, they also have a wine garden but it's separate so you have to go around. Dogs are welcome.

We went at a great time 1:30. It definitely gives a local bar feel. The rum punch is definitely fresh. It was delicious! Leigh the bartender was so nice! Go pay a visit!

Do not order the food at your table. Go to the bar and place it there. They try to charge an additional 20% service fee for using the QR code menu. Bartender says it goes to the kitchen but IDC, you should pay your kitchen people more. Now I can give that 20% to my server in the form of a tip. You are not sticking me with your payroll issues!

We waited for our food for 2.5 hours. It was a football Sunday so there were a ton of people and everyone was waiting roughly 2 hours. But, we saw a few groups who arrived after us and got their food. Then, after waiting 2.5 hours for my meal the Parmesan fries came out and the cheese we just thrown on top and not even melted. They missed another part of my order and we waited another 30 minutes and it never came out. However, management was awesome and she waived my whole ticket which was very kind of her as I only asked to cover the wings that I never got and asked to cancel that part of the order. It had an amazing vibe but wasn’t the place to go if you were very hungry or didn’t have several hours to spend at the location. I would go back but just not on a day where football or large games are playing. They have an abundance of wonderful outdoor seating and the place is huge but on game day the whole house is booked.

This beer garden is right next to the wine garden, but food can be ordered from both menus. Place order directly from your phone at your table or else risk your food not making it to the right location! The zucchini bruschetta and coconut curry mussels and frites were excellent. Good outdoor space and plenty of tvs.

Awesome place to relax and hang out with friends or even make new friends. The frozen drinks are the bomb The food is great as well as the crawfish. It's like a big backyard party with friends and family. I love going here. Most of the staff is pretty nice. I would DEFINITELY suggest you stop by. Trust me when I say you will be back. Great wine selection, beer selection, you name it they have it. Great finger food menu.

I used to love this place. Always tell tourists about it as well. Unfortunately, they have changed. They dropped the ball. Bartender inside the beer side of the establish, was rude, and dismissive. When I approached the bar inquiring about a cocktail list, she was very dry. I approached the bar to order, but this bartender was only interested in catering to regular patrons. I decided to switch to the wine garden! Nate, was nice. Very attentive, regretfully the bar back wasn’t. As he stood at the bar pulling mint leaves for service, my friend said excuse me a few times to get his attention.. to no avail. He was not responding. Well, another friend said excuse in a very loud tone, now he turns around and says don’t yell at me. Rude, poor customer service. Well my friend wrote a review saying that the service was bad, and business owner says don’t come back here. That’s beyond sad. I won’t be returning. I’ve never experienced such negative energy. Transplants don’t know anything about customer service!!!!!

A nice man( owner/bartender?) of the (closed at that time) Bayou Wine Garden was nice enough to take through his place into the Bayou Beer Garden when we went to the wrong door. We were there for a quick beer, so not much to report. Mid afternoon, and the place was pretty quiet, the bartender was pleasant and efficient, the beer was cold. The inside was somewhat dark with a bit of dive bar atmosphere. There is a huge patio out back and a smaller patio out front if you prefer to do your day drinking in the sun. Good place.

Cool outdoor venue. Order at the table. Food came out pretty fast and was good but Stars deducted because there were numerous rats running around. Not exaggerating there were probably 10 rats and I was terrified

Hosted a private party in the VIP room. We were able to be amongst the crowd but not in the chaos. The communication was excellent for months leading up to the event. Seamlessly easy. Their event coordinator was unbelievable. She checked in with me upon arriving and made sure the area remained tidy as guests were eating and drinking. Highly recommend bayou beer garden for any event.

Was wandering the city after a visit to City Park and found myself in Bayou St. John, then walking by this place. Popped in for a couple and it was cool as hell in there. Friendly bartender, good vibes. When I walked in I was patron #3, but within an hour there was about 20 people. Think they had crawfish. Good vibe all around the whole time.

Bayou beer garden is a great place to relax and sit outdoors while sipping on your favorite drink. I like to go here to hangout and talk for a weekend date with a friend. Favorite item on the menu is the garlic parmesan fries. They are crunchy, fresh, and exploding with flavor. I also like their burgers; they are pretty juicy and flavorful. Service is quick, however, the bar does get backed up. The atmosphere is fun, aesthetic, and relaxing. My favorite drink is the classic margarita over ice.

I’ve been to bayou beer garden a few times over the past couple months. I love the vibe of the place. The inside is nice to hang out in during the hottest parts of the day and the outside beer garden is a great place to get drinks with your friends at night. I’ve been lucky enough to get the same bartender the last two times I’ve gone. Anna is friendly and extremely helpful if you have any questions. I’ve stayed later than my friends a few nights and she kindly chatted with me till I finished my beer. Excellent service. I’ll be sure to recommend this place to others and I think it’s about to become a regular hangout spot for me.

This is such a great place to watch sports and drink beer! Their food is better than standard bar food as well. The charcuterie board is worth the price. They also have one of the better beer and wine selections in town.

Loved the energy of the place, outside and inside option. The crawfish was delicious and very affordable (18$ for 3lbs).

Very nice bar with a very large outdoor seating area. We tried a few craft drinks and they were all great, and fantastic Crawfish but that’s expected in LA

This place is fantastic! A respite from the sights, sounds & smells of the French Quarter, the unexpected surprise of a tiny house opening up to a lovely place for food & drinks was welcome.

Such a cool place. Looks like a fairly inconspicuous place from the front, but it leaves quite the surprise behind - endless space, in a cool environment, and an online ordering system so wait staff is able to serve the large grounds.

Waited 17 minutes at the wine bar to be served but was never acknowledged by the bartender. Although it was not busy, she never took a second to look our way. We then moved to the courtyard tables and ordered from the app. There was just two of us at the table. Our food came out 6 minutes apart, my burger was not hot and the cheese was drymelted on the patty. I requested condiments, and was told to go get them out of the cabinet. This visit was much less than desirable. I hoped it would be a better experience.

Was excited to walk down and check this out. Bonus points the puppy contest was going on and puppy ice cream! To start the food was bland. Got fish and chips which were typical and nothing special. The shrimp taco and fish taco were just as underwhelming. There was no sauce on them except what was in the coleslaw. When you order you pay ahead of time and they automatically add a 25% tip you have to change when all they do is walk the food out to you. There is no service here. You order from a QR menu that has barely anything on it then order any drinks from the bar. Received the wrong drink twice from the bartender. Wasted time and money here waiting for the costume contest only to find out an hour later it was in some part of the yard we didn't even know existed. No announcements were made for anything and there was no ice cream as advertised on the Facebook page. This place is good if you need a place to drink with friends and watch the game. Otherwise there's hundreds of places to eat go somewhere better and don't waste your time.

Had the best time celebrating our friends here at this place. At first we thought we went to the wrong place because it’s so small inside then we stepped out back and it was magic. So spacious so much love poured into this place. Wish I knew it was a wine garden too!!!!! The Pale ale on tap was my favorite

A wonderful and sprawling pub, with a wide array of indoor and outdoor seating. Take your pick, there are several bars and eateries available. My only complaint is that although I always enjoy a fun bartender who is allowed to take shots with the patrons; if they can’t handle their liquor, they probably shouldn’t be drinking. Our souvenir cups, appetizers, and drinks were thrown away on more than one occasion that we weren’t paying complete attention. It was like pulling teeth to get the drinks replaced, and there was no real offer of compensation, besides a slightly fuller, remade drink. I highly recommend the fried chicken skins, and the frozen “Party Rattler”.

The back are of this place is spacious and amazing! When you go in the front door it looks small until you go outside in the back. Great food, great music, awesome decor and it's away from the French Quarter so it's street parking but trust me, this place will charm you. The venue is Beer and burgers and fries on one side, vintage wines and finer dining on the other side, such an interesting and euphoric experience for any taste. Would definitely recommend it during the week because I'm betting this place gets packed.

This place is a hidden gem! Enjoyed a cool beer on a warm day. Paired our drinks with great seafood dishes! The salad was refreshing. My only complaint if I had to say anything: the avocado tacos were a bit bland. They could’ve used some seasoning. I do recommend you check this place out!

First off, our bartender was awesome, super friendly and just wonderful. I wish I could remember her name to give her the recognition she deserves! - Thank you for a marvelous experience! Secondly, I’ve had crawfish before but at a chain restaurant in Chicago…I’m so glad I ordered it here because this is how it’s supposed to taste and I had no clue up until this point. Must say my mind was blown! The seasoning was perfection and I’m already starting to plan a trip back to New Orleans just for another order of their crawfish 🦞! Yes, it is that good/fabulous/amazing/mouth watering/delicious!! Thank you for a marvelous experience and we will absolutely be back!!!

Hopped off a plane and had a couple hours to kill. Large patio with plenty of seating. Was able to accommodate a party of five plus luggage (staff were nonjudgmental about that which I appreciate). Ordering was very easy using a QR code on your table. Had a delicious salad with shrimp. Frose was refreshing. The World Cup was on, so it certainly was loud but vibes were good.

Well worth the visit, even if you are staying down in the French Quarter or other neighborhoods close to the river (street car directions below). Relaxed place to grab a beer and some good food. Extensive collection of beer on tap along with knowledgeable bar tenders. 30 - 40 minute trip from your hotel near Canal Street. Catch the 47 or 48 trolley north. For the next few months you'll have to get off the trolley the stop before LaSalle St and transfer to a bus then re-board at LaSalle to continue your journey. The driver will let you know. This bypass for the next few weeks as power has yet to be restored for the trolley lines in this section because of a building under construction falling down and almost taking out a trolley. No lie - look up Hard Rock Hotel..... Anyway, you're not worried about that, just grabbing a cold beer and some good eats. Get back on the trolley - don't worry about the way some of the buildings look (ref: Hurricanes Katrina & Ida) and get off at the Canal and Norman stop. Final note, if you walk down Norma like we did the entrance is actually around the block on Rendon. That's OK as you'll need the extra steps to work off the beer you're about to drink. I forgot, talking about knowledgeable bar tenders check out the Gnarly Barley Coconut Jucifer the bartender turned me on to. I dislike IPA's but this righteous drop changed my mind.

Messed up our food order. Took forever to get a manager over. She quickly mentioned that there was no wraps left for the night and that she would refund our order. Then just never did refund it. Website has no email, contact form is broken, and the phone line doesn’t get picked up. Edit/response: your phone and website do work. However the phone doesn’t get picked up, and the contact form on your working website does not work. It 404’s out. Thanks for the refund.

You definitely have to know this place is here; you'd never expect it to be so massive from the entrance. There's a huge patio, tons of TVs (sports bar vibes), great servers/bartenders, great vibes/ambiance, and a diverse crowd. Cool spot to hang out away from all the NOLA chaos!

  • 5/5 Doug H. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome venue in an area that doesn't have much going on. The back patio is fabulous. Lots of decent seating. Cool lighting all over. They have TV's for sports. But you'll never see a server. So there's that. Makes it's a little tough to get drinks and/or your food. They have a digital ordering system but it has some bugs in it...nothing came out together for 4 separate dishes on one order. 2 orders came about 20 minutes after the first one and we had to go track them down inside....also cause there was no one around to ask. Hopefully they get that figured out and then it'll be a great establishment!

Quaint neighborhood bar feel for the place makes you very comfortable hanging out and enjoying the many appetizers and bar food on offer. I wish this place was in a better neighborhood but we really enjoy our visits there, despite having to watch it for carjackings when heading back to your car.

We used their outdoor dining area for a work event. It was perfect and the food was good. I don't drink beer but we got wine from the adjoined bistro. Really nice setup.

Love this place. A must when we go home to see family in New Orleans. Amazing atmosphere inside or our. Great drink options and beer on tap. Food is really good.

Bartender introduced herself as Anna. I’ve gotten used to pretty subpar service at New Orleans bars in the past few years, but Anna blew me away. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and expedient. She was able to answer all my questions about the cocktails, which were delicious. The crab Rangoon dip is top notch and was delivered swiftly. Everything was clean and decorated (the outside bar is beautiful). I will absolutely be returning.
