I have been here a couple of times and like in most chain stores the employees seem apathetic. I had a request for price match and I have done this repeatedly in other stores but in this store The product was scanned and I was told that I had to pay that price even though it was the target website. Poor attitude zero customer service skills no pride in service just blobs that don’t want to be there.

Competition for the area. The selection is large as the lower level is several times larger then the first floor. The price are extremely reasonable and for that area I just might shop there every other day. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They officially open October 9th, but shopping has begun.

Our team was searching for some cleaning products while other stores were sold out this target had some in stock. We were shocked since this store had them.. kinda impressive for being a department store in New York City. This Target experience felt so premium compared to the other ones out there. Rest assured we will be back again.

The store I visited no one had no idea how to open the display . The call button for customer service didn’t even work. When the third employee finally tried to help me couldn’t find the person who had the display case key. Iam completely unsatisfied and completely discouraged about Targets customer service .

Terrible terrible store. They locked the doors 7 minutes early and then were rude about it and refused to let me in. I left my job early just to pick up an item I had ordered before the store closed. If the hours say open until 9pm, you need to post somewhere that it’s not the case. Security and the woman at the pickup register were incredibly rude and combative about it as well. I’ve been going to that target for years and have never dealt with such unpleasantness from staff. You can’t get mad at customers that YOU’RE changing the rules without notice just so you can go home early.

This Target has a pretty neat 2-story layout. Only stopped by to purchase a few drinks and some Aleve (had been doing some sightseeing on foot all morning) so I can’t speak on the prices of other things, but what I did buy was pretty much in line price-wise with other Targets I’ve shopped at. The team members were more than happy to help me find what I needed. Restrooms were also nice and clean. Had a very pleasant experience shopping here!

This place is an incredible department store! 🏬 Like many great Target stores 🏪, this one is no different - it has an endless collection of groceries 🍅, household items 🧽, electronics 🔌, clothing 👕, and more at extremely affordable prices! 🏷️ Walk in and explore the vast variety inventory on display! This spot has two levels, but the bottom floor one is the main one with the checkout 🧾 counters. Staff is welcoming and the self checkout kiosks 📲 are super easy to use! They even have a CVS Pharmacy ⚕️ inside. I wish I came here more often!

Is it just me, or has Target really gone down hill? They’re locking up all sorts of random stuff (supplements, advil, now laundry detergent?) without nearly enough people staffed to open the cases in a timely fashion. Nothing is in stock, no plain Kleenex among other things. And they just tried to sell us a curtain rod that had been returned without the hardware. What the heck!

I’ve always been a big fan of Target, I’m willing to pay the marginal premium for a shopping experience that is consistent. This location typically has about 75% of the things I’m looking for, which is unfortunately a pretty good percentage for the neighborhood. However, a month or two ago they decided to lock up *everything.* I don’t just mean a few expensive medications and razors I mean everything, shampoo, medication, body soap, mouth wash, razors, deodorant, laundry detergent, etc. Half the glass cases don’t have an employee call button, the other half no one comes if you press it. As far as I can tell, none of the staff have keys, not even security. It’s at most one person a shift. Several times now I’ve gotten tired of waiting 10+ minutes for a $5 bottle of soap and walked out. I’m sure theft is an issue but how many thefts do you have to deter to make up for the number of customers who are going to get impatient and walk out without buying anything? It’s inconvenient and frankly unneeded.

This is a great “miniature” Target location. You’ll find most essentials as well as other household necessities. Expect to pay a much higher price here compared to other larger, suburban Targets. Target’s price match policy is an absolute godsend; always check either their website or a competitor's to see if a specific product is sold at a lower price (which is then matched at checkout). Johnny over in electronics is beyond helpful. Any technology related questions, Johnny is your guy.

I went to check out and Franklin (Tribeca NYC location) was super helpful in helping me checkout with my digital red card. he did not rush me and took his time to explain and made sure the fees were correct. he made my day even better. he should deserve a raise!

We came here for groceries on our first day in NYC in July 2022. The selection was ok. The prices were not so good though. The produce prices here were more expensive than Whole Foods, which surprised us. The quality of Whole Foods produce is much better than Target as well. If you're looking for groceries in this area, skip Target and head to Whole Foods for better quality, wider selection and better prices. 2/5. Follow me for more reviews, photos and great tips.

I was racially discriminated at this target and guarantee I will never shop at this location again. I’m a black man and I recently moved to Manhattan and this is my local Target and was in making a big purchase and as I was walking out (with all my items in target bags) the white boy security guard with the non-connecting beard jumped in front of me and demanded to see my receipt… I was shocked because this has never happened to me at target before. I asked why and he said “it’s store policy.”…. After working at Target throughout all of High School and partially through college and knowing Targets guest centric culture I know for a fact this is NOT their policy. I stated I threw my receipt in one of my multiple bags and wasn’t about to dig for it. He incredibly rudely stated that I didn’t need to “make a big deal” and then continued to mumble under his breathe. As I was in the vestibule waiting for my Uber I counted 15 people walk out and not one was asked for their receipt and coincidentally none were of the same skin tone…. I called to the store and asked to speak to the Assets Protection Manager or Store Director but neither was available but I spoke with the HR Manager instead and said she’d address the attitude with him but she spoke with another Manager and confirmed that “random receipt checking is store policy”…… when I told her to review the optics of the entire scenario and then give me her thoughts she was silent. I am honestly shocked that happened at a TARGET of all places albeit not shocked the one in Tribeca given how terrible in general this location is. I’ll still be completing a CSAT with intentionality to bring this to the Store Directors attention because I genuinely refuse to believe that Target has a policy of spot checking receipts of one random black customer…. UPDATE 2-24-2023: Frank the Store Director reached out to me and we had a very nice conversation where he asked me to walk him through what happened and told me he’d follow up with me after he does his own internal conversations (rightfully so) as I was the first person he had spoken to and that he’d follow up. He followed up with me about 4 hours later and I won’t go into the outcome of the conversation but I’m satisfied for Frank’s leadership with looking into and addressing the situation and how it is being addressed.

We nipped in here after visit the One Observatory. It's a fairly big store with a decent selection of stuff. Food, home items, medical stuff. It could do with some frash sandwiches, which is what we were looking for. Overall though, very decent

I do not have any complaints whatsoever. It would be beneficial if the staff could enhance their friendliness to some extent. This is why I have given it a four-star rating. However, despite this aspect, the overall experience at this establishment remains commendable. That is precisely why I consistently opt for Target as my go-to choice.

Hello everyone. Honestly this is the best place to buy you food for breakfast and lunch in the area if you don’t mind prepping it. Everything else in the area is so expensive. Here, I could buy a dozen of eggs, cheese, turkey and bread, make a sandwich and it will still be cheaper than anywhere else. Plus, the store is well organized and clean. There is never any waiting lines to check out as well. The self check out is a breeze. Their customer service is pretty good too. They know where their items are. I asked an employee about an egg cooker and he was able to tell me where the item is located and how money they had left. That’s was pretty cool. I’ve also purchased office related products and it didn’t break the bank as well. I highly recommend this target to anyone in this area.

Worth shopping at a Target elsewhere if possible. Bought 2 items from this store that had, upon opening boxes, been swapped with items of lesser quality/had parts removed (ie portable chargers, razor blades) - both of which are stored behind locked glass that only employees have access to. Then, wouldn't accept exchange or return once brought back. Don't waste your time.

This location is convenient for the area, but the staff is not the best. A lot of them (not all) look miserable and act like you're bothering them if you have a question. Also, they have a full staff and still a lot of the products just sit on their charts waiting to be put out. From what I’ve noticed this has a lot to do with laziness. If you’re there and you see the product you want on a chart you’re not allowed to purchase it until one of the workers feels like putting it out. I think this is very unprofessional and extremely unnecessary. This can all easily be fixed if the team working at the location just acted like they wanted to be there and did their job.

Wonderful staff, sad selection. No shoes, very small selection of clothing, no plus sizes, minimal groceries and housewares, just kind of the bare minimum of everything. My friend was leaving for Europe and came on for a quick shop and could not find any underwear. This is not all being stolen, they are not providing it to begin with. Less Legos, more underwear, people! Again, awesome staff, though!!!

You would think they were closing the store with how little inventory they have. Registers aren’t staffed enough leading to long lines yet I always see workers around. Convenient and good prices for the items they do have

My experience working as an overnight Stock associate for Target in 2017 wasn't bad. There were approximately 13 different managers under the general manager, and everyone had different management styles. I usually arrived at work on time at 4 in the morning working part time. It was easier to learn the locations of the shelf items from the aisle shelf to the endcaps because stocking the shelves including efficiently and effectively preparing items from crater shelf in preparation of shoppers. Target is optimized for the many types of social groups that need quality items at a low price. There are always sales each week, and not because the Store Managers wanted items to sell quick, maximizing profits. Target is fundamentally organized around saving their customers money, because that makes shoppers happy more than anything else. I resigned from Target around Thanksgiving. Its a great place to work and has good benefits.

Tried to buy a vacuum and when i asked an associate to help unlock it for me she threw an item on the ground, rolled her eyes, and said “I cant help you with that you need to find someone with a magnet” girl what? I don’t work here whats your problem. Weird and makes me wanna just buy from amazon. The death of brick and mortar stores will be rude staff, this is why people don’t want to go out anymore! Horrible vibes Update: NEVER GOT A VACUUM NO ONE CAME

Store assortment is good but customer service needs a lot of help. I love Target but will stop shopping here. Only 2 person at the order pickup/ return area. Maybe this should be broken up into two areas? I’m standing in line for 30-40 min. Just seems slow for NYC/Tribeca

If you cannot pick good apples and through the bag with those that are bad you deserve to be fired. For real Target?? Do not order for pick up because you’ll get all the expired items. Shame on you!!

04/14/2023 On the corner of Murray Street and Greenwich Street They had sour cream, Scope mouthwash and isopropyl alcohol which was what I needed. 😀 Some personal care items are locked up. The Target has two floors. The second floor is street level. The grocery and pharmacy are located on the first floor. Take the escalator down if you need grocery or pharmacy. There are lots of self checkout registers which I'm happy to scan, pay and go!

Very nasty customer service at this location. They humiliate and degrade customers for asking for a price match then won’t even honor it because it “does show up via their price matching app” which they admitted has never successfully scanned an item even ONE TIME. Literally. Not even exaggerating ha

I usually go here every day, since I work in the area and regularly use the restroom or have to buy something from this specific Target. I've never had an issue with this place except for today.... I go to use the mens restroom (around 11:48am) and one of the employees, not only skipped washing their hands, but he steps out of the toilet stall, and all I see is that he urinated all over the toilet seat and on the floor, in front of the toilet. I literally had to spend a good 5+ minutes cleaning the seat and floor just so I could poo. This is your staff. 😑 I'm sure he went and shook hands with folks and touched merch with those same dirty hands.

I had gotten a large bag of potting soil at this target last year. I was looking for it again but didn’t notice it anywhere in the store. So I called customer service to ask them if they had it and I was told that they did and that it was downstairs. In order to purchase this large bag of potting soil I needed to bring my cart and I didn’t want to bring it there unnecessarily. So after dragging my cart there and being told it was downstairs which it wasn’t at and then being told it was on the mezzanine it turns out it wasn’t anywhere in the store and I dragged my cart there for nothing and left without any potting soil. What is the use of having customer service if they mislead you instead of helping you? Very annoying!

For the Tribeca location, this Target is definitely convenient. However its prices are much higher than a usual Target range. Also the seasonal design section is lacking, sadly.

Generally, while I do like going there and having the convenience of everything I need nearby, I just had the unpleasant experience of discovering that if you are injured or disabled, there is not much they can do to help you. Granted, it is the busy holiday times, but I mentioned I was hurting on my leg (had a cane), and one of the cashier guys walking around looking for pick-up customers simply said he could not help. No one can offer a chair, a cart, etc.? Usually, the folks who work there are helpful (and the lady who checked me out was perfectly nice and I wished someone was helping her at the registers), but if you are injured or disabled, I recommend waiting until after the holidays to go so you won't be waiting on long lines with nowhere to sit and no one to help. PS: After reading up on a number of old 1-3 star reviews, it seems like there's not much they can do to change things in general. Some employees there are great, some are not. More times, I meet nice people there, but not always. It is what it is. I am lucky that when I do have to go, I don't need stuff from the locked cabinets, it seems (based on previous reviews about how long it takes to get help for those cabinets). If you need to go in a pinch, just know you will likely be on some long lines (especially now) since they only have one person for each check-out station.
