Unfortunately, google does not allow for 0 star reviews so I have to settle to leave 1. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for competent or at least compassionate front desk people who seem really bothered when asked to do the bare minimum of their job. If you have a problem, the front desk receptionist will make it worse for you. They send emails that look like a phishing email when it comes to notices of correspondence. No confirmation texts or calls so that if you are unaware of your appointment time they can enjoy making you feel bad about it and of course charging you a late feel. Did you know have rights? Clearly these people at this office don’t think you do. I don’t recommend coming to this office for anything at all, I wouldn’t even send an injured rat to this office.

I made an appointment online for a few days out, they are in network, and 24 hours before the appointment they rescheduled it for 2 weeks out without checking with me at all. So, I thought that's fine I'll just wait but it's a little ridiculous that they also sent me a text saying that if I fail to cancel within 24 hours they will charge me $100. So then 2 weeks goes by and I wait for my online instructions to see how I log into a virtual appointment and they never contacted me. No email. No phone call. No text. Nothing. So I called and then the abrasive dolt who answered the phone said I can't even see anyone at their office unless I switch my PCP to their office, something I wanted to ask about doing in my appointment. So I wasted 2 weeks of waiting for them to completely ignore a patient's appointment. I better not be getting a $100 bill for not showing up to an appointment they never honored. Absolutely disgusting way to treat a person wanting medical treatment.

Took my 82 year old father here and first off they don’t call the patient they send out emails. Where do they think 80+ yr olds check emails. Unfortunately you can’t have smartphones without emails these days but read the patient info and use common sense and your brain!! Second, the reception desk took all my father’s medical records made copies yet never placed into his file and the dr practitioner had none of his health info when we were seen. Third, the Dr practitioner kept talking to my father as if he was mentally unstable and my father found it very demeaning. Just because of his age he’s not stupid. They then complained that my father should have fasted before asking for bloodwork. They expected a 82 year old diabetic to not eat all day for a 1pm appointment as well as there was no mention that they were going to take blood when scheduled the visit. Waited a month for them to even fill out documents to help with him having an aided assistance for his home and they “lost” the paper work. They just seem as if they really don’t care for the patients, they just want the insurance money and move along. Wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone. They all seemed more into their lunches and break more then the patients. Unprofessional staff.

Please Stop and read…… THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE, Dr saltzman is a con artist who only cares about money I know this because I’ve worked here and have seen her treat patients like trash. There’s also a lot of illegal malpractice happening with patients and there medication. Dr. Saltzman herself is under the influence on a daily basis, and needs treatment herself. Please if you can go somewhere else I would recommend it. Where there are doctors who actually care for you.

Dr. Saltzman's office is very warm and caring, patient and understanding. Their Suboxone program is very effective and efficient. They do not judge you or treat you as if you have the plague or you're not human just because you need treatment. They had me set up and with my correct medication the next day. Their NP and Therapists are wonderful and always available. I have never had such success w/ Dr's and addiction as I have w/ this office. I would recommend them to anyone who's dealing w/ constant pain or addiction. They're a game Changer! You will not be disappointed trying Midtown Health!

I love Midtown. Everyone is friendly, warm, approachable, and they all genuinely care about their patients’ well-being. While typically an introvert, I am so comfortable sharing anything with all of the staff and doctors. I highly, highly recommend booking an appointment for any of your medical concerns. Dr.Saltzman is especially enjoyable to see - she’s so down to earth, and treats you and makes you feel like her equal, which is unfortunately not always the case with doctors.

I ended up canceling my new patient appointment because I was never informed that Dr. Saltzman the person I wanted to is not even practicing. The Number 1 reason I canceled is because when I call the first person who picked up the phone so I can ask questions about my appointment has one of the rudest tones I've ever heard in my life. First thing I ask is if I can put my appointment for earlier and he sighs heavily. Next thing is he doesn't answer my question and says that I didn't fill out an online form and that my appointment will be canceled by the end of today if I don't, I said I would fill it out and then he said "okay have a good day" with a bad attitude and was about to hang up. I had to stop him to answer my question. This is not a good look if the first person I speak to has a huge attitude. I work in healthcare and I wouldn't even hire this person if their going to have an attitude whenever they answer the phone especially if their the first person people speak to. HORRIBLE LOOK ON THE OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please address this because you will lose business because of one person who isn't even worth it. Plenty of replacements out there who probably sound better for your business. I am now reading other reviews and they all say they had the same experience AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING TO SEE THIS OFFICE DOESNT TAKE REVIEWS UNDER CONSIDERATION!!!!!!!!!!

Do not go here. They care more about money then your recovery. Even if they accept your insurance they are charging you 300 dollars a month or of pocket on top of chilling your insurance company. And god forbid you fall in hard times and can't pay they do not care if you do not have your postscript and tell you to borrow pills from your friends. Those were Dr Saltzman's exact words to me. I'm pretty sure that's illegal. I now found a doctor that takes my insurance with no money out of pocket and I was with midtown for 3 years and they could not help me with a week of my prescription. Again DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! They will rob you blind and send you to the street when you can't pay them for a month. L

Midtown Health and Wellness is an excellent primary care physician facility. They are very attentive, easy to reach, and care about you as a patient. The whole team is great and my only regret is not finding them sooner!

When I first visited this office in 2019, I worked with a nurse practitioner who was kind, competent, and compassionate, and I think this individual (who I have never seen again) and the complications of switching doctors during the pandemic were the only reasons I continued to subject myself to this abysmal place for several more years. Since then, my experience has been disappointing and impersonal. The front desk staff never seem to know why I made my appointment, always assuming I’m there for a physical even if I came in with a specific issue or for a follow-up visit. I have met my doctor several times (I am not going to name him here), and he never recognizes me. Most recently, I have been trying to investigate a debilitating stomach issue, and even though this individual specifically directed me to get x-rays and return for a follow-up, he didn’t seem to know who I was or why I was there, clearly not having reviewed my chart before entering the room. The only reason we were able to look at my x-rays at all was because I happened to bring my own laptop with the images on it. When I described my symptoms, he had no follow-up questions and seemed disinterested in getting to the bottom of the issue, even though I had disclosed that the problem was bad enough that I was missing work. Additionally, I was prescribed an incorrect medication, and because of the mix-up, my menstrual cycle would be significantly disrupted. This doctor did not realize he had made a mistake until I brought it up myself, and even worse, he did not seem to understand why that would even upset me, barely apologizing. At Midtown Health and Wellness, you are just a number to them; they can perform a basic physical, but they do not care about helping you reach a diagnosis and ultimately feel better. If you’re looking to have an actual relationship with your primary care provider, avoid this office like the plague. They also do not mask, so avoid if you are at all COVID conscious.

The Doctors and other providers here are some of the best and most thorough I've ever had. Very grateful for their expertise. But their staff and reception are some of the rudest, nastiest and most unprofessional people I've ever come across. I was actually warned about this before choosing this place, but I thought... how bad could it be? Well, it's that bad. Will still continue to choose the amazing Doctors here, but it comes at the price of dealing with awful people who don't care at all about patients or doing their job well.

I have never been treated with such compassion and kindness during every visit thus far. Everyone, starting with the administrative staff made me feel like I was the only patient they were working with. They understood my situation, took comprehensive notes and every provider was on the same page at all times. I did not have to wait to receive treatment. It was immediate. I had questions and received answers within an hour of calling. I was thinking that after 2 years of COVID and sickness and waiting to be treated for something serious but simple, that recovering would be a long arduous “wait on hold”. Midtown Health and Wellness got me off hold and back into my life. I’m so grateful for Dr. Saltzman, Angel, and the rest of the team there! 10 stars!

They don't seem to care about their patients. Been waiting for an video/call appointment, no one calls. Then I call to find out what's going on, now I'm put on a waiting list. My Dr will call me when she can for my session. Date and time unknown. My schedule doesn't matter. I was crying, she hung up.

I am so thankful that I found Midtown Manhattan Health and Wellness Center. Dr. Saltzman and the staff are easy to talk to and helpful. If I have a problem all I have to do is call the office and I will get the help I need right away. I love my counselors. They have changed my life!

Medically speaking, this practice is sound. From a business perspective, it’s a trash fire. The front desk is unorganized and largely unprofessional. Simple tests were lost and never reported to me. Communicating with the office is impossible. I’ve actually never seen the doctor even and upon reading another review completely understand why. Never going back to this office, one of the worst medical facilities in all of Manhattan

I will be switching from Dr. Saltzman's office after 6 years of being a patient due to the ongoing fraud with the billing here. It's always been an issue, but it's gone up exponentially post-covid since their entire staff turned over. To start, I had to get a Hepatitis A vaccine, I must have asked 5 different people in the office to confirm it would be free, then I got charged $60 5 months later. I ended up speaking to Dr Saltzman who reduced it, but I still had to pay money. I would have skipped it or found another way if I wasn't openly lied to. THEN I noticed at the end of last year they were charging me for 20-30 minute appointments during which I get a prescription refill (NYS law), but I do an online appointment that is always scheduled for 15 minutes and I have always spoken to the doctor for 10 minutes or less. I reached out and was eventually put in touch with their "Managing Director" Alexander who I had never heard of. After initially coming to an agreement that I wouldn't be charged for a future appointment, I had to change my mind because my company switched insurance providers. Since then he has ghosted me, I have called the office and emailed repeatedly and confirmed he is not out on vacation and I have cced the receptionist. I asked to speak with Dr Saltzman and apparently she's out of the country until April! Planning to file a complaint with the NY Medical Board around fraud and highly suggest you do as well. I've heard they are losing multiple patients right now due to incorrect charges.

I’ve been a patient at Midtown Health for almost 2 years now. Initially I had no issues with the clinic; unfortunately, recently the front office staff is very rude, and they make it extremely difficult to set up appointments and pick up medication. I’m not sure what changed, but I don’t feel the same compassion and care I once did. I’ve been charged extra twice now, they always want to book appointments and charge me extra when I need medication, as other reviews have mentioned, Midtown is all about the money. Dr. Saltzmann is great, and that’s what makes writing this review so painful, the rest of the staff are not friendly or compassionate. They will find any reason to give you problems instead of helping you fix the issue. I wish I could be a patient of Dr. Saltzmann without the rest of the staff, anytime I speak with her she is accommodating, understanding, and helps find solutions instead of creating problems. I’ve been a patient for two years paying every month, and it’s 2 people at the clinic that make my life impossible. I’ve had great experiences so it pains me to leave this review, but as of late I am extremely disappointed with the clinic. It’s all about the money at Midtown.

Dr. Saltzman is great when you are able to see her. However, the front desk staff and facility are horrendous. Every time I call, they treat me like I'm a criminal, they send you the incorrect information for schedules, refuse to be of any help, and when you approach the desk, you are treated like an inconvenience and that you're interrupting their social time. I was told that it would be $150 just to speak with my doctor, and that insurance would not cover it. The bathrooms are disgusting - covered in urine, trash everywhere. As I'm asking questions, they place me on hold for 15 minutes without warning and when asked for an explanation, they say they "can't say for sure." Additionally, I went to go and get vaccinations, and someone who I've never met grabbed me from the front - did not wash her hands or wear gloves, and stuck me with a needle, then realized her mistake, washed her hands and completed the rest of the vaccinations.

The absolute worst place I have ever experienced in my life. They book appointments for the Dr Zultsman, and she doesn't call you back. Waiting a whole day to have a consult with the Doctor. Having appointments booked and then they tell you oh we don't see your appointment. I basically wasted four days waiting around for their Pa's and Doctor. Not exactly good care by any means. Do yourself a favor and find another place for medical care

I love Midtown health and wellness! I can’t say enough good things about councilors working there, especially Kevin and Chris, together they have helped me to understand, recover and grow. I’ve recently started seeing Surafel, he has helped bring so much positivity into my life. Overall a great team of doctors, assistants, and therapists.

As a busy place with rotating staff, it is evident that there is trust, excellent communication, & teamwork between all of the practitioners. They have flexible hours and care about their patients. Just having moved to the city, i felt like I was in great hands. I would definitely recommend this place!

Dr Saltzman and her staff are stand outs among the bleak options for primary care in NYC. They are dynamic, concerned and perfectionistic in every aspect of attending to my health care needs. The assistants carefully took vitals and medication history and performed testing with ease and care. I have seen the doctor as well as her nurse practitioner Michelle and they were both personable and focused. They do not throw prescriptions at you as a solution to every problem and I really appreciate that.

I was a bit nervous switching my health services but was delightfully surprised how welcoming and how comfortable I felt right away. My intake with Dr. Saltzman was a pleasant experience and I could tell she was highly knowledge and understanding. In my opinion she is the best in the business. She always ensures I am treated with the utmost care and respect. Her and her team are super responsive should you have any questions or problems in between visits. She runs a great practice and I would recommend her and her team to anyone seeking help with their mental health or addiction problems.

I started receiving services from them a few months ago. Everyone I’ve spoken to and seen has been very kind and seems to genuinely care. They check in regularly and give positive reinforcement. Everything they’ve done has been thorough and well explained so there hasn’t been any confusion. Dr. Saltzman, Georgia, Daniel and Nwora have all been a great help and I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a PCP and mental health care. Honestly so relieved to have found a place where I feel comfortable and receive quality care. Receptionists have also been very organized and helpful as well.
