For many years, I loved your gym. I hope you will consider this feedback in hopes of continuing to be the premium fitness center in Brooklyn: Please return the water fountain. It is good practice to provide drinking water to the people who use your fitness center; from both a professional and health related perspective. Please return to pre-pandemic hours of operation. Closing at 10:45 on weekdays and 9:45 on weekends makes many of us rush our workouts, especially those of us who work late. 1 extra hour makes a world of a difference. Please stop turning off the music 15 minutes before closing. I do not understand the purpose of doing this. The dreadful buzzing that continues afterward is borderline insulting. Please have your staff discontinue the constant reminders that the gym is closing. It is disruptive and comes across as unprofessional. Please consider installing an additional cable machine. Specifically, the one that is off to the right as you walk by the bikes. It is constantly in use and a reason for large crowds of people at peak hours. I appreciate the new recently purchased equipment, but not purchasing another one of these units is a significant oversight, in my view. Please have your front desk staff display more professional behavior. Maybe they can at least say hello? They sit on their phones with morbid expressions on their faces. It is not a good representation of your brand.

Overall good experience with swimming membership. Friendly guards and not too crazily packed early in the morning, though occasionally several lines can be closed for classes, making it inconvenient for other swimmers to have to crowd into remaining lanes. Pool should be occasionally cleaned, water quality not so great sometimes with too many bandaids on the bottom which is gross. Shower was closed for a whole month for renovation in August to improve member experience while they continue to charge you the full rate. Communication was for two weeks and they doubled the down time without regard for members' inconvenience. With all that downtime for renovation the sauna still went out of service shortly. New showers never have both shampoo and body wash - on your lucky days it's just one bottle of either one sitting on the floor. Please consider installing stick-on shower racks that allow placing of both shampoo and body wash - before the "renovation for better experience" this was way better.

It’s the nicest and most spacious gym in the area. It’s not cheap but means there’s less riff raff and not busy during rush hours. Couple of things they can improve is the digital lockers that are broke and the CrossFit area is not utilized by most gym goers. I believe going forward the gym will be better as they are adding more equipment and improving on the experience.

All gyms have the concept of the word Guest. These people haven't heard of this, $50 for a one-time workout. I came with a man who is a member of the club. when he pays $90 a month it’s not attractive! Be friendly because every guest is a potential client!

The workers in the front desk of the gym are rude, none of the staff in this gym is friendly with the exception of the pilates class instructor. I came in with my husband to have him try out the gym since I have been a member for a few months, which I only go to 1 class occasionally. Instead of giving us options on joining, Anastasiia (the membership advisor) gave us a really nasty attitude as if we were bothering her, besides that I was asking a few questions on the classes since I am a member, she was even rude about that! Since she was behaving that way I decided I should find out how to cancel my membership, she told me I would need to pay a fee which was NEVER explained to me when I signed up, I do have an injusta so I’ll get getting a note from my doctor in order to cancel. If she wasn’t so rude I would stay but I would rather go else where!

The worst gym I have ever seen. I took my membership a long time ago. When I wanted to close my membership, I could only do it if I move to another state or bring a disability document from the doctor. It’s so stupid. If I don’t bring that documents I should pay for not using there services every month. They are just trying to get as much money as they can from you. Never use their services, there are a lot of other gyms nearby.

I like Matchpoint very much, this my favorite place. I use gym and pool and other yoga classes and etc already 3 years. all coworkers and trainers are very friendly, polite and security too. Everywhere is very clean, but the cashier Man in the lunch bar is very rude and so nervous to the customer and to me too. that makes me very disappointed. Or he needs more training how to be polite with customers or he needs to be a retirement

The pool is a total scam. Only 2 lanes out of 8 are available for paying members, the rest are rented out for private lessons. That's not all, 1 out of the 2 supposedly available lanes is a SLOW lane for exercises NOT for swimming, the ladies there will ask you to move. So then you're left with 1 overcrowded lane and have to share with 3-4 people. Total Scam and not worth the high price they charge. This is false advertising because the pool is never available to paying members as they describe before you join, there are always random private lessons. I will be reporting this to NYC Business Bureau for them to be investigated since management ignores all complaints.

Horrible place! When we arrived on our first day to play tennis, no one knew where my child would go, who the teacher was. The front desk is extremely unhelpful and rude. If you have a problem, their answer is always we don’t know, come back later, call later. If they see that you’re asking too many questions, they just don’t want to deal with you. The prices are crazy. It’s about $2000 for a semester. My child is 13 and they put her, at last, in a team with 6-7 year olds after I asked all coaches where my child should go and none of them answered. They had no idea about this new student they were getting. I ended up asking for a refund and found a wonderful tennis place with wonderful people. I feel so relieved. I will never, never, never go back to Matchpoint ever again.

Perfect place! Modern and super clean. The gym has everything you need. The great bonus you don't have to worry about to bring your towel or even mat for yoga with you all the time. You are provided with all that, and it is nice. Group fitness classes are the best thing there, per my opinion. There are so many options, including even yoga. Thera are so many options to get you in shape. And fitness coaches are amazing. Alexandra is the best 👌

Used to be a great place. Not sure what happened to the quality of premium service it used to provide but closing early and unprofessional staff is not the only problem. I came to the gym this morning at 6:05 AM. I waited for 40 minutes for the gates to open. No one showed up. Speechless. Take your money elsewhere

I have been a member for over 5 years. I give solid 3 stars. The good: 1 star for facilities: plenty of space with options, 1 star for fitness classes (really good trainers on staff) and 1 star for cafe upstairs for great food choices/options. That’s where service and offerings stop short. The ugly: swimming pool: I have gold membership, which allows to swim in the pool. No one is managing the pool area at all. You have lifeguards checking phone/ playing loud music on speakers (pretending to be a nightclub) where sound bounces off water and creates loud echo sound throughout facility, you have swimming coaches, reserving swimming lanes for themselves to swim whenever they please and then you have gold members who pay around $100 and only get 2 swimming lanes most of the day. What happens is you have 3-5 people WAITING to swim. If you charge people $$$ to allow them to use the facility, people are not expected to wait in line to use 1-2 swimming lanes. Either stop selling gold membership or increase number of swimming lanes for club members. The other ugly side is smoking: so clearly smoking is not allowed inside of the facility. However, next to each entrance, you have staff, members and trainers constantly smoking. There are ash trays next to each entrance. When I bring my kids to practice at the facility to play sports, I don’t want her to see people smoking by the entrance! If you promote healthy lifestyle, smoking shall be banned throughout entire facility (inside and outside).

Great gym, in my opinion probably the best in South Brooklyn. There is almost everything you need for a workout. There are disadvantages of not timely maintenance of simulators. Some simulators are broken. Small sauna, maximum for five people.

As a business owner, I joined this club to explore its benefits for my employees and family. I'm particularly interested in swimming, and I've consistently enjoyed the club's high water quality, thanks to regular testing. The club offers saunas, but there was an issue with people pouring water over the hot stones to increase humidity. It's important to note that saunas are meant for natural sweating to eliminate toxins, not for creating humidity with liquid water on hot stones. This practice doesn't provide the full detoxification benefits of saunas. With the new setup, that addressed the issue. Thank you for improving my experience with the club.

The swimming department is very unprofessional! I went to matchpoint and won't lie, the reception was very informative and gave me all the information I needed to reach the swimming department. I tried contacting the swimming department to enroll my 8 year old son for swimming lessons. I started calling them on 20th June and got no answer up til now!! I contacted reception again and they said I should sent a text message and I even tried that and got no answer through text message either! I was then given the swimming department's director's number and called her like 3 times she didn't bother answering even sent her a message asking her to contact me but she didn't bother responding or replying. The reception said the director will get back to me the following day when she will come in and that she usually responds to messages and calls the following day. I cant say anything good about the experience I had with this place trying to enroll my son. Horrible! Who in their right mind ignores potential clients!! They can say whatever they want now to mask their carelessness and unprofessional behavior. I don't usually leave bad reviews but I really wanted my son to join a summer activity and time just passed by without anyone getting back to me!

Not special needs friendly. I have 7 years old autistic child. There is a Family room which is always occupied. Restroom is too far and no shower. I can not take him to men’s changing room and can not use girl’s room either. I spoke to director of aquatics department - Valeria. She offered me a small blue tent… Also she said: “Our place is not suitable for special needs. If you don't like it you can go somewhere else. Rules are rules”. Just would like to add We are happy with our swimming instructor.

I signed up my twins for summer swimming group classes. I expected some kind of progress report given that they charge twice as much as any other swimming group classes in Brooklyn. There was no feedback, you were not allowed inside the pool and you could only barely see what the kids are learning from the cafe upstairs. Their cameras are not pointing where the kids are. Every class there was a different teacher. Given all the hype, I was left very disappointed. I signed up my kids elsewhere for half the cost and even got sibling discount. MatchPoint has excellent facilities, but management of their swimming program needs improvement.

I'm a member of this place for couple of years now. Nice, expensive place, but lack of maintenance takes it's toll. If anything breaks it takes forever to fix. A/C in certain rooms works only during cold months. Sauna is out forever without ETA on a repair. Newly installed showers don't work properly(hot water running out of hot valve and vice versa). I don't remember when did Wifi worked last time. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone at this time. Thinking of switching to a different gym myself.

Been going to this gym since July of 2022. This place certainly beats other gyms in some terms, but absolutely lacks in others. The two gyms have every single machine you may need for your workout, don’t ever have to wait for more than one person to finish their workouts. Prime times are busy, but they are prime times for a reason. All equipment is high quality with some machines a little worn down, but the management updates and places more machines from time to time which is great Towels are great amenities, both in the locker rooms and the gyms. Now onto the cons. How come are there no water fountains in this “premium” gym? They have a whole protein drink machine right in the hallway but no water fountains in sight… if you need water you can ABSOLUTELY go to the vending machines or their lounge and spend money on water… Front-desk staff is nothing bad or good, they are just there.. Most of them are in their late teens or early 20s and are just there for the paycheck, I can understand that. Don’t expect any crazy service you would expect in a “premium” gym you pay so much for. Trainers.. there are certainly a couple of good ones out there but there are some that treat the gym like they own it. How are you going to close a whole cross-fit gym for a single class? If I’m paying a full price, I should have full access to all the gyms at all times. Other trainer was upset with me using the machine as intended, oh well, I’m sorry, I forgot that if I somehow break it, it would take you guys half a year to fix it. Maintenance. If a machine is broken - don’t expect it being fixed next week, or month even. Not happening. WiFi. Absolutely forget about your phone once you are inside the gym. No service and WiFi that for some reason works only one day out of the week. Sauna… haha!! Such a big amenity that so many are looking for. Guess what? It’s never working. I’m pretty sure it has only worked for about a month since July of last year. But everyone got excited for this new shower and sauna renovation that left people paying their memberships for nothing(literally nothing, you couldn’t use the pool for a month because there were no showers). The time comes, the sauna works for about a week, cold as usual but you know, it’s there! Next thing you see is an “Out of Order” sign and a wooden beam going across the door. Not surprised. New showers were slippery, that got fixed after the complaints. New showers didn’t even have shelves for your shampoos and body washes(maybe they put them up by now, not sure) The pool only has 2-3 lanes available out of 8 because they are all booked for private lessons. Can’t speak much about it but other reviews have mentioned more. If you have the money and just want to workout and go home - this is a pretty good gym. If you come with minimal expectations for such a high price - you will be disappointed. Maybe this gym will see better times. Update: WiFi is working good, still no shelves in the showers

My story is belong to the owners of the place please choose right staff and managements who works with the people. Client is always right, it is does not matter whatever is situation. Today I tried to speak with one of you managers, who was so rude, who was so angry, who doesn’t know how to speak to the people. Who is not professional. When I came to him and tried to explain my situation He even doesn’t listen to my store and told me maybe I am deserve it because the clients of this place is not always Showing a Good attitudes to their staff. They all rood even if the staff is speaking at good manner . But he doesn’t know what happened right?! he doesn’t want to listen to me. What I was told from him it’s that he don’t have a time to be involved for the small things, and when I ask him how I can talk to the owner of the facility, he told me that the owners doesn’t have a time and no one gonna listen my problem. I hope after my post if he read it he will come and make his excuses. I am not putting his name for now, but I am waiting for my excuse from this person.

The place is running down. Sauna has not been working for 7 months. There is no drinking water fontaine. I called to complain and spoke to Anthony from membership, trying to find out about what is wrong and when it's will be open. He was very rude and hanged up on me. P.S. I've posted this review, and 15 minutes later, he called me saying that my membership is canceled. I was a member since this place opened 10 years ago.

The actual gym is great. Locker rooms are kept clean, equipment is replaced, etc etc... Most of the staff are great besides for this one trainer named Val. He's been harassing both me and my friend for months. Seems to be on a power trip. The other employees seem to just brush it off and say it's not their problem rather than getting involved when he starts harassing people. Very unfortunate as one employee can ruin a whole experience.

Very nice gym. I like it so much. there are many sports sections, pool, group classes, sauna . Very good!! and even massage procedures. And a very good cafe , delicious salads , fresh juices and meat dishes. BUT! they do not have a playroom for children. if they had, then a lot of mothers would come to the gym. sometimes it is not possible to leave the child at home, but really want to go to the gym. Make a playroom for kids, pleeeaaaseeee.

Itself facility is nice, but unfortunately it’s all ruined by few very unprofessional staff members. Zoya, who is managing memberships, is so unreasonable rude and few other girls from her team definitely needs additional training for customer service. Because of this unprofessionalism me and few members of my family recently canceled memberships, more is coming… found better places around with way better and nicer people )) Nice people is a key for a nice place, and business owners should pay attention to this factor. It’s alway better to pay more and to earn more, than to safe on a cheap… sorry, it’s tough but it’s true

They charge full price for memberships and now they cancelled the sauna and said it’s not part of it I pay over 70$ a month it isn’t worth coming here I recommend the members ask for discounts for sauna or cancel this is crazy!

Can be better. Can't even think about coming here and relax. In the pool it's always crowded, noisy or all together, a lot of children. I wish it was a high class fitness with lounge atmosphere like I had in Moscow. Unfortunately, there is no other choice in Brooklyn with swimming pool. There is no hammam, no jacuzzi, no good schedule for classes( I mean there is no yoga on Saturday and Sunday)

Fantastic gym in Coney Island area. Modern equipment. Cleanest facilities. Friendly staff. Well maintained locker room. Very affordable monthly fees. Look up their selection of morning and evening group classes. Try one. Professional coaches for personal and group training. Special mention to HIT and CrossFit classes. I am a physician with 20 years of Internal Medicine practice. If you care about your health, start with the gym membership. If you live in South Brooklyn, MatchPoint is the easier choice to make.

Dear management, thank you for making the gym a great place. Please consider posting a sign in locker rooms asking members not to place gym towels on the floor. On a regular basis I see members placing towels on the floor, where someone was standing wearing dirty boots a moment ago, while they are drying themselves/changing.

We had really bad experience in MatchPoint. My son who is 6 years old, goes swimming classes since he is 3 years. We applied for group swimming classes there. At the beginning he was OK, but soon he almost forgot how to swim, was hanging on the rope for half an hour and his coach Christopher didn't help him at all. It was a total waste of time and money.

When I want to cancel they ask for $100 with a proof of moving or I have to pay 50% of them months.. ridiculous. Russian business as usual. Thank you no!

Not good as should be! Price- $$$ Expensive! Pool never test kid for swim level, you have to start from beginning even if your kid has been swimming before. Sucks :( Gymnastics morning Sunday lessons teacher always late for 20-30 minutes. If you not participating in a show which is not free your kid will be on a side with out any advice or recommendations from staff.

Do not Go to this place When covid started i was kicked out from the gym by the security guards they have hired, because i did not have my vaccination card. I told the girls at the office to cancel my account, they said they would. Now after so long it appears that my account is getting active again. When I’m speaking to Antony the “manager” regarding the issue he is not taking any actions and keeps bargaining with me and won’t cancel my account This smells like some Russian Putin style of working with customers

I switched over from blink to this gym with my husband! We got a membership during their holiday deal. This gym is huge! The locker room has a hot sauna inside for men’s and women’s. For extra amount you can use their pool that they have. They have classes included in your membership from Pilates, yoga, CrossFit, to boxing. This gym is really clean and well organized! Worth the price.

I have to start by saying I love match point, I went there for swimming class and i had a Horrible customer service, girl lacks phone etiquet, so rude on the phone almost hung up on my face, don't know answers for any question and have attitude. When i finally arrived there nobody knows whose coach, name, if even there was a class that day and still continues with same careless way. It is a beautiful, clean establishment but needs supervision otherwise they will use lots of business coz of their workers, ans please refrain from hiring kids in front desk especially when disrespectful

I brought my 4yo kid to the swimming group. I wanted to see how my kid swims and how the training goes in general, but the lane on which the group was swimming is not displayed on the screens. After training my child cut himself on the bench that stands inside, she sat down and started crying but no one approached her because the coach took the next group and latched into the water and the lifeguard sat and looked at her phone. Also, hair dryers practically do not dry their hair in the children's locker room. And the most important minus in the matchpoint, which was the decisive factor in the decision, does not go there anymore - it is the staff at the reception. I don’t even want to retell the whole conversation, I’ll just say that they don’t dare to work and talk with clients too.

Definitely one of the best gyms in our area. And one of the reasons why I came to you is the sauna. But guys, do something with sauna in the men's shower, I understand that there are many offenders, but you are the best because you try to keep the service at a high level. The sauna is just warm, and sometimes cold, something needs to be done about it. I saw a lot of comments here regarding the sauna, so maybe you should pay attention and try to fix this problem. Thank you for service P.S. and please bring back the drinking fountains

I like this place. Clean and convenient. However, after month of men’s shower renovation I am surprised. They installed the same type of tiles on walls and floor. Slippery floor is extremely dangerous structure. As far as I know from my 50 years experience in construction industries it is a violation of building construction code and public safety requirements to put slippery wall type tiles on the floor in public place. Please correct this mistake before you have falling incidents. At least, install anti slippery rugs ASAP. Appreciate your understanding.

My first positive experience started with Valeriya who was very patient, professional, and responsive to my inquiries. I signed my son up for group swimming lessons. On his first day, it took the instructor 5 minutes to convince him to get into the water. Slow and steady progress still better than zero progress. The instructor is patient, and now my son enjoys getting in the water. The locker rooms/bathrooms are well maintained and clean. The lounge is very modern and provides great view of the swimming pool and tennis courts. I will consider signing up my other kids for lessons.

Friendly staff. Clean facility. My child comes every Friday nights for swimming. Their swim schedule is flexible with weekday and weekend availability. I usually chill at the cafe upstairs while waiting. There is plenty seating with healthy food/drink options. The large windows and TV screens allows you to watch your child who swims or plays tennis. There are 2 accessible parking lots located at the front and back entrances.

Top tier swimming program for kids in Brooklyn. Gets busy at times but program coordinator Sam keeps it organized in a professional manner.  Keep it up!

I haven't visited the place but would like to try their membership. It would be nice to see the pricing online so I or any custoner can make a decision to pay a visit before paying a visit.

I purchased tennis lessons for myself and swimming lessons for my kids in packages and it’s been nice with one huge downside they forgot to mention: schedule states to be 6 AM to 11 PM on weekdays. It’s Thursday 6:30 AM there are about 30 people around and the gym is still CLOSED. VERY UNRELIABLE & UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least. Morning workout-people are usually the ones with inflexible, booked and busy schedules. Imagine waking up at 4:30 AM to keep up with your routine and not miss your workout, showing up to the gym on time, & end up waiting over 30 minutes (it’s still closed) and still miss your workout. This is unbelievable, unacceptable and unheard of. In addition to this chaos, all the cars waiting by the gate created a bit of traffic trouble for the city and school buses. Cancelling my membership and all the other services purchased. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The atmosphere was unwelcoming, and the staff appeared rude and disrespectful, indifferent to customer concerns. There seems to be a lack of focus on customer well-being, overshadowed by a primary emphasis on financial gains.Little soviet union!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

👍👍 It is an amazing stay for people that really just need a bed for the night in the middle of New York. We stayed for a week and first of all the location is unbeatable. Right next to central park and even in a 20 minutes walk distance to time square. I absolutely loved the immense gym. Alone for the...

🫤 Very disappointed with the gym's new timing. I chose PF over Blink Fitness although it was a little far away from my place because it would be open 24 hours and it really helps people who work different schedules. Remember, not everyone works 9-5. The 24 hour policy was what made PF unique and stand...
