Sept2022: 4⭐: I arrived at this Planet Fitness location after checking to see if there were any of them near the area where my father lives. This one was the closest one within 5 mi of my father's place. I checked the website bar indicator to see what times were the busiest and the time that I was headed there was not one of them. Upon arrival at the facility, it's located within a small mall set off the main one lane highway adjacent to two major named stores. The front of the building is well marked but is a bit deceiving upon entry. I did note that there was no available handicap parking adjacent to the front of the entrance nor convenient for entry into the facility. There are plenty of regular parking spaces available. When entering the facility it appears to be more than just one level and more than just one large room. The workers at the front door were attentive and not distracted upon entry into the facility. The facility circles around to several workout areas for use. The heavyweights are near the front door and the machine weights appear to be downstairs to the left after entering the front door. The whole front area is dedicated to the treadmills, bicycles, and stair aerobics type machines. When I checked the men's locker room, I found that there were several of the locker room lockers that were broken and not capable of being used. I also found that the toilet locking mechanism was broken or unsuitable for most if not all of the doors in the restroom. The added barrel lock mechanism was also ineffective. When I took a look through the facility, I did not find any of the equipment out of service or not capable of being used by customers. There were plenty of cleaning stations with well stocked towels and cleaning solutions. There is hot water to shower, but the water pressure was awful. It reminded me of my military days where we had water dripping from a bag over our heads to shower. Again, the only difference here is that the water was hot. So, I guess, I shouldn't complain because at least the water was hot...lol. This location passes all of the basic tests in my book to be a decent fitness facility falling short of a 5 ⭐ rating.

I have been coming to this Planet Fitness since 2018. Recently there has been a new staff member who is the manager who is anything but friendly. A few weeks ago I watched her very loudly and openly fire an employee who I have always seen and has always been beyond kind and helpful. It’s wrong to do something like that so open and publicly especially when customers are around. Today I wanted to tan, she made a statement that wasn’t clear so I tried adding a piece of information I felt would be helpful about my membership and she snapped. She was rude and condescending and has been since that day I first saw her fire an employee. Every time I go I hope she isn’t there

Gets the job done, I would not suggest putting any valuable belongings in the lockers, even if you had a lock on it, someone will break in. I’v had my locker literally broken in half one day, ever since I stopped using the lockers. I would avoid using the gym during rush hours which are usually between 5Pm to 8Pm Monday - Thursday gym will be super crowded, but ain’t every gym the same? Friday-Sunday is pretty chill. For the price you can’t really beat it, just gets the job done, Staff are always cleaning up & people usually wipe down the machines after use.

I wish I have a zero star to give you this two stairs still doesn’t work we have to wait on the line to do this exercises more than 30 minutes. Every month you know to pull over money from our account but you don’t know how to provide good service to your customers as soon as possible fix your equipments please 😡😡😡

Staff are nice enough, gym is clean, price is right, but super bummed about the stair steppers. There are four total in the gym and 3 of them are out of commission. 2 of them have been broken for over a month with the third breaking in the past two weeks. I asked the staff what the deal was and they said maintenance was supposed to come but hasn’t and they need two maintenance people to fix them. I’d really like to see them fixed, this is a busy gym especially during the week and if you don’t stake out the one working machine you won’t be able to use it. Update: Every stair stepper machine is now broken so if you want to use them don’t bother coming here. Taking another star off, kinda ridiculous it is that much of an issue to fix them. So much for the annual payment they just took out of my bank account for “new equipment”. Tried to ask the staff again and they said they have “no idea” when they will be fixed, so much for talking to management for an update on the stair repairs @Planet Fitness! Update 2: 3/4 stair steppers are finally fixed as of yesterday! Gave the 4th star back. Update 3: Back to 2 :/

No real complaints when it comes to the equipment. Pretty standard PF. However, the men’s locker room is disgusting. You can smell them before you even walk in. The whole locker room smells like sewer gas. The showers are infested with flying bugs. There is a leak somewhere that causes water to stand in the changing area. There doesn’t seem to be any ventilation which has caused the wood lockers to swell and not open and close correctly. Would recommend a different place if you plan to workout and use the locker room.

The workout equipment is fine, but the locker room area is extremely unsanitary. There’s a foul smell not only inside the bathrooms and locker room, but outside of them in the hallways and the lower level of the gym. The smell is a mix of mold and sewage, which can’t be healthy to be breathing in. Complaints have been raised to management, and they still haven’t taken appropriate action. Every time I’m there, I hear other members of the gym complaining about this as well. As another reviewer also mentioned, there are flies in the bathroom sinks and on the walls. Something needs to be done about the cleanliness and the smell of this gym ASAP.

Great until you try to leave. Had to write a letter of medical necessity and bring it to MY Planet Fitness in person then they cancelled my membership. This was after charging my acct. For 4 months after my initial call to cancel.

Lots of equipment and features such as stair machines, treadmills, water fountains, etc are broken. It’s constantly packed here and the bathrooms are gross. There seems to barely be enough staff to supervise the place and people constantly hog machines, especially the smith machines of which there are only 4 in the whole place. I’m cancelling my membership as soon as I’m done writing this.

They have 4 machine stairs machine 3 machines don’t work . If I have a zero star . I will give a zero star .

I must say my mask flew off getting off my car and got soaked because of the rain.. but Really planet fitness..? Selling the mask 1$..?!! Dunking donuts give them for free if you consumed their product and I happen to pay u for the black card and the YEAR membership but u can't hv my back on this very rare life time circustance.?!! Luckily I had my wallet on me..!! 🤣... next time I'll bring a BOX just to supply the other members who might happen to run in this misfortune cituation and require a mask. . thnks.!!

2 in 2 weeks they put that warning and never fixed that, always say tomorrow it’s gonna be fixed and nothing, the other option you have is buy a bottle of water for 2 dollars each, that situation is disgusting

There hasn't been hot water in the shower for over a week now. In the locker room and in the shower it's as cold as outside.

The staff was so friendly, it was clean, and there were always machines available to use. I chose this location over the Waltham one and I’m so glad I did, since this one had better reviews.

I like the stationary bikes at this location as they have advanced features to push you to your optimum heart rate. Other PF gyms have bikes but they lack this feature.

Nice large gym, clean, not crowded. Has all the equipment (except free weight bench presses. They have Smith machines instead). Music isn't too loud. The best bang for your buck that you'll find in a 3 mile radius. Why pay higher prices for other gyms in the area when this one has it all?

There is a REALLY BAD smell (the worst smell I’ve encountered in my life) going on by the restroom and that back workout area and it’s been more than a month. The people that worked there have been told about it so many times and they just ignore you and spray some Lysol, LYSOL IS NOT GONNA DO IT. You have a serious problem going on, this could be mold which could be REALLY harmful fyi. They claim is not dangerous. HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS IS NOT DANGEROUS FOR PEOPLE’S HEALTH? You guys need to fix this because you cannot even walk in the back without feeling sick to your stomach. Stop neglecting it and fix this problem

Usually satisfied with price/value, but dislike that you have to tie your bank account and let them pull your money out rather than push from credit card or check. I like the hydro massage chairs which are available in most locations but the total body enhancement booths are hard to come around. Tanning booths are everywhere but I'm not a user.

I love planet fitness, the price is right , employees are very curtious/helpful and their facility is so clean . The best part about it is knowing that even the locker rooms are relatively safe. Yes you should bring a lock all the time, but if you forget to and keep your phone and wallet on you nothing will go missing . The employees stay on point and in shape !!! Internal beauty from the employees brings out the inner beauty in others as well thanks !!! Also their is a stop and shop and cvs attached to the same building which makes things so convenient before or after a workout.

I have been a member for about 6 months now. The early morning staff is very friendly and the gym is very clean. They recently just upgraded a lot of their equipment and I frequently see staff thoroughly wiping down the equipment. No complaints from me!!

Best times to come is morning before 830am or after 730pm to avoid crowds. DL the app so you can check the crowd meter to get an idea before going

Simple, easy to access gym. Good value for your $. Staff is always friendly. They just put in new cardio machines which is cool. But it’s not for those whose go-to favorite is the arc trainer. The new ones only have a low stride setting. They don’t have the ‘climb’ zone, like the old ones did, I would rather have the old cardio machines that had better settings.

Ok, this place is generally great in terms of staff friendliness. I’ve been attending this gym for years now, however, and in the past year or so, the place has really decreased in cleanliness and general upkeep. Here are a few things I have noticed that are easy areas for improvement: 1. The towels for wipe-down are often placed right next to the dispensers. It only takes one extra step of installing them. 2. The water fountain is often super dirty, with mold and orange grime. Makes me feel pretty uncomfortable about drinking water or refilling my own. 3. The bathrooms could use some help. I can smell urine from the men’s room almost constantly—outside of it, when I’m working out. Thank you. I know you can get to fixing!

I just overheard the gym manager yelling at someone on the phone and belitting them and saying “keep it coming pooky?” It was so odd and terribly unprofessional. Does not make me want to continue coming here if this is how the staff feel about their members. They definitely seem like they need more training in customer service. Yikes.

The prices are fantastic and the gym is much clearer than the expensive gyms. People are great and the personal trainers are helpful and not invasive. I am very satisfied with Planet Fitness.

Even though I've used the tanning beds at multiple locations, for over two years as a black card member- this location will only let you use the tanning beds for 2min if you haven't used the black card spa before w them. Also there is no cell service inside and there is poor ventilation in the downstairs portion- the locker room was very damp and steamy.

I was appalled by my experience here for many reasons. The staff in general were quite kind and understanding but that’s where it stops. The owner of this location treated me with such disrespect and scammed me by signing me up for two accounts so that it double charged. After trying to fix this issue multiple times nobody was ever able to help me. In addition, the facilities themselves are quite dirty and the entire gym smells horrific. Horrible experience and I am STILL trying to get refunded for my double charge. Disrespectful and dirty in summary.

Ive been to some bad planet fitnesses but this one takes the cake. It was so dirty that I couldn't kneel on the ground because my knees instantly turned black. The entire gym felt like it had a layer of grime on everything. The employees were nice and welcoming so Im not giving a lower rating.

The men’s bathroom is absolutely disgusting. The smell is so nauseating you can barely wash your hands without gagging. It radiates out of the bathroom to at least 50% of the gym space to the point it’s hard to work out. I don’t understand how hard it would be to wash the floor once a day.

I go to this gym almost every day. It is clean, friendly, non-intimidating environment. Not very crowded and with good balance of weight training machines and cardio (though not very big on free weights). Friendly staff and convenient location!

I really liked it here because it was a good match for me needing late night workouts with my busy work schedule. It really set them apart from other gyms in the area and now there’s no options for those of us who need these times. They have changed their hours during Covid to no longer be open 24 hours during the week and they never went back.

Watched a man use countless machines and floor mats without wiping anything down. Several members were disgusted giving him dirty looks. I reported it to the front desk and the guy said “sometimes it be like that”. PSA, if people don’t wipe down their machines at this PF, the employees don’t care. GROSS

Nice facility, kept clean and organized. Gets pretty busy after work hours, often need to wait maybe 5 minutes for a bench, but only a few minutes or less for machines

Very clean but a lot of broken stuff. The cleaning stations have broken paper towel dispensers. The mens locker room is also a little suspect. Many of the lockers are just broken off the walls. Doesn’t inspire confidence.

It was good, my roommate was very helpful at my first experience at the one near my house. Showed me the most important updates in terms of cleanliness and behavior. I really appreciate that confidence going to a fitness center. Thanks to all the staff for the help to.

Not open 24/7? then stop charging me the full amount of my monthly payment if you can’t keep up with your agreement. When I signed it, you promised access to your facility 24 hours. I hope someone brings you to court in the near future

The gym is nice! The receptionists are nice, especially Marcus, he always has a positive vibe & big smile on his face :)

Have to wait for the popular machines usually and there is a few broken items but overall a good gym great atmosphere and vibe

It's a good place for cardio or using the machines but the lack of free weights for squats or deadlifts holds it back.

So this is my first time at this planet fitness and I had a great experience. The people there keep to themselves and the staff was very helpful when I come through the door. I was helped by someone on how to check in and I really appreciate that. I will be back tomorrow for sure.

Whenever I walk in, the girls at the front desk have the WORST attitude. It’s as if greeting someone is a chore.

Friendly staff, good sized space and very clean. Between the equipment selection and price I don't know why people would workout anywhere else (unless you want heavy weights or barbells which in that case, look elsewhere).

This planet fitness is one of the finest. It is clean & well managed. I’ve been a member for a couple years now & have been quite satisfied. I highly recommend this Planet Fitness!

The staff and management are very helpful. If you're looking for budget workout place. Only a few would beat this place if any!
