Itโ€™s a nice walk from the observatory to the horseshoe fall. We loved walking around that area and see the rapids, cave of the winds until this point.

Being Canadian, I grew up only visiting the ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ side. Now that Iโ€™m dual and now travel out of BuF, got a chance to finally see the American Falls. Love the American side, the nature, walking across the rainbow bridge! Love it.

We had a great time at Terrapin Point, it is definitely one of the better views of the falls. Be mindful that it will be very crowded, and you may have to wait to get a view not blocked by people. But still worth it for sure!

This viewpoint is probably the best you will find on the US side of the Niagara Falls. If you are going to the other paid attractions on Goat Island, you must definitely walk to this viewpoint! It gives you a very close view of the Horseshoe Bend and you can see Canadaโ€™s skyline as well. Otherwise, it is a very chill park to walk around - a good way to spend a sunny afternoon

We almost missed this gem of a place . On our way from Cave of the Winds to Top Of The Falls restaurant , we witnessed mist and when we moved ahead we found this amazing falls . Maid of the mist boat tour takes you under the horseshoe falls and it looks amazing from the top of the falls as well . Serene โค๏ธ

Amazing experience. You can see the rapid river up close, hear the sound, and feel the wind and the mist. Great photo spot!

Wowโ€ฆ the Mother Nature is exceptional. We had a great walk around the park. Loved every bit of our experiences. Nice place for a family tour. We went there from Philadelphia for a weekend trip. It was quite a crazy drive. However, totally worth the journey.

Beautiful location to see the US side of horseshoe falls. Very nice park with an easy approach to the falls. Lots of room to get fantastic pictures of the falls, boats, oh and rainbows. Amazing to see how much water flows over the falls each second. It's a must see.

Great area to view the falls and a nice park to walk around. It's not as good of a view as the Canadian side but was a great experience. The park has a nice pathway to follow with many great photography opportunities. The rapids and how close you can get to the American falls is great. Definitely a park that I would come back to.

Best free view of the falls from the American side of the falls. Also a good place to watch the nightly light show from, and a good spot to watch the 10pm fireworks from.

Terrapin Point at Niagara Falls was lovely! The whole park is just a amazing. Most tourists stay at one location, the actual Falls and that is fine. There are so many things to see and do. But if you walk about 5 minutes away from the city and down Goat road you will get to see so much beautiful landscape, little hidden paths, quiet park benches and other opportunities to see the rushing waters. The entire area is just amazing. It would take a few trips to really get the most of the area. Horseshoe falls, which you can view from Terrapin Point is spectacular. The spray of the mist is fun and when the wind shifts the surprised crowd usually let out a joyful shout like little kids at a splash pad. It is adorable. Plenty of space to move around, very well maintained paths, open spaces and clean facilities. A lot of the Falls is actually free, except for parking, the rides and walkable platforms (like cave of the winds). Great place!

An amazing place and breathtaking view even on a misty day. the sound of the fall can be heard already while walking there. I would recommend it over less crowded period, as the falls can be seen and admired much better and in a more relaxed way. A must do when visiting the country and the area.

The closest you'll ever get to seeing Niagara Falls on the American side... A gentle, smiling river suddenly cascades into a majestic waterfall.

The falls are beautiful! There was a light show at night and there is a nice grass area that would be great for a picnic.

Terrapin Point (formerly Terrapin Rocks) is an observation area located in Niagara Falls, New York at the western tip of Goat Island, next to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. It is one of two major observation areas to overlook the falls and lower Niagara Gorge on the New York side. No need to buy tickets. Parking lot 2 is close to the terrapin point and you need to purchase parking tickets. You can see night illumination lights of the horseshoe falls from here.

First time to Niagara Falls. I was blown away by the falls, the force of the water, and the mist. It was very cool to be able to see this sight. After seeing it I can see why it has been such a key spot in American history. I can imagine that it would be much busier in the summer time. It was nice to visit when it was less busy and easy to get a parking spot.

Terrapin Point was the last destination I went when I traveled to Niagara Falls. I watched the 10pm fireworks from this observation point. At 10pm, it was definitely a popular/busy spot for watching fireworks. There wasnโ€™t a great view of the falls, howeverโ€ฆ there was a great view of the fireworks. The lights that cast on the falls were amazingโ€ฆ and it was extremely beautiful. If you like to take picturesโ€ฆ it was a great spot for taking pictures of you, friends, and/or family.

Best location to get a view of the Horseshoe Falls from the American side, but it's not great. View from the Canadian side is better. Large open space, but it's usually pretty busy. Requires a bit of a walk from the parking lot so it might be difficult for less mobile people but it's all paved and accessible.

The best place in the US side to get horseshoe falls view. I would suggest get to this point first day in the morning the falls with sunrise is next level. Just fyi I reached here before 8am so I didnโ€™t have to pay for parking you can save this amount to park in goat island
