Nice property with spacious, clean rooms as expected of a Marriott property. One thing that I did not like was the $10 per night parking charge for a self.park in an open parking lot. That, despite being an Ambassador status. However, the staff (Jordan, Ken) were extremely helpful and helped us with late night dinner options, and when I needed a print out, it was ready as soon as I sent them the doc. I hope this COVID situation improves and the travel/hospitality industry can get back to full normal operations.

A very nice new Courtyard hotel, more in the design sensibility you would find in Canadian Marriott properties. My room was large and had a soaring ceiling and interesting lay out, which made it seem even bigger. It is several blocks away from the more pedestrian-friendly downtown area of Niagara Falls, but it is a short drive or walk. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked for a one night getaway. I was quoted $130, including parking (I actually wrote it down when I spoke with the rep) I was charged $10.80 for parking and my total bill ended up being $169.26. Be more transparent when quoting a price, include everything, taxes, fees etc. We had 1 drink each at the bar totalled $18 for a beer and a Jack & coke, the bartender took out a 20oz bottle of Pepsi cola that was half used and poured the drink from that. It was flat and tasted terrible. The room was clean and spacious. Included a mini fridge and a microwave and also a small sitting area. The bathroom was awkward. Only a half door on the shower and water was all over the floor. Also the bathroom door opened and if someone is sitting on the toilet the door opens right where your sitting. Overall I wouldn't stay again for the price. *Response to owner.. Yes, now I do see on the confirmation the OnSite parking fee. HOWEVER, I was quoted $130 with parking included, not PLUS parking. Your associates should disclose this fee on the phone. Not tell you one price and hope everyone reads the fine print. I've literally just called 4 hotels right there and not one of them charges parking fees.

was going to book here, saw the article that they called the police on someone complaining, so read the reviews. some marriotts have gone so downhill, have to be nuts to stay here. the owner's response - paraphrasing - hope we do better next time follow-up: i apologize about the news article which may be about another property. but as I said my comments are based from my fellow travelers' reviews of YOUR property. the confusion reflects the comments about your property reasonably appear to be like the situation the article's individual encountered.

This is a relatively new hotel with great front desk customer service. I got in late but was greeted warmly and checking in was a breeze. The room was clean and modern with some nice contemporary touches. The bathroom was big and the bed comfortable. There was a balcony in my room overlooking the parking lot but it was a nice amenity to have. I would definitely recommend this hotel in the Niagara falls area.

We have always used courtyard in the past but we were very disappointed in this one. The service was horrible from the beginning . We have always been able to check in early, not here . Then waited 30 mins to check in because the 3 people working were wanting to have a social visit . The place was very dirty and the rooms felt very damp and dark like in a dungeon. The shower didnā€™t get very hot . Over all the people that worked there were not very friendly . We will never stay there again and donā€™t recommend it to anyone !

A/c didnā€™t work, called front desk for an hour before going to app. They stated via app that air conditioner had been reset, this was 9pm. Rest of night really didnā€™t cool down. Verbalized being unhappy with this, and they did comp our room and get HVAC on site. We got an upgrade to our room at check in. We booked a king room, but was upgraded to two queen beds. This was odd, and not what we normally experience at Marriott. A bed change should be discussed at the front desk. Manager was very accommodating when he was updated on situation.

It's clean and well maintained building. The rooms are not cleaned daily. It's every third day as stated. We were there four days and no service. I had to ask for toilet paper and towels. The shower has no door just half glass. Water leaks out hence I had to ask for towels daily. Our sheets and pillows cases seemed to not be replaced only just remade from the previous guest. For $250 per day, we do expect more. Everything was modern and updated. Location is great. Food at the bistro was fine. Parking is $10 per day.

The hotel was okā€¦ was disappointed at the idea of paid parking for guest. Iā€™ve stayed at many Marriott hotels near airports and main attractions and have never had to pay for onsite parking. Morning and daytime staff members were phenomenal and accommodating! The on-site Starbucks & Bistro was definitely a bonus. Rooms were really clean, but of course we received the room with no internet or tv for the entire stay. We had to watch tv on my MacAirā€¦ no bugs, no smells, no stains, no loud noises, etc. I was charged 2 holds for the room ($120) and an additional hold for the parking which was an inconvenience. When I presented my grievance to the over night clerk, she seemed to not care and real nonchalant about the charges. She couldnā€™t explain why the charges were doubled and offered me nothing but ā€œas long as you leave the room in good condition, the holds will go back into your account after checkoutā€ā€¦.. well duh! All in all the hotel stay was decent. Would probably not stay for future visits.

First time here. The rooms are spacious. Microwave and small refrigerator included. Balcony with view of Niagara River and City View trees. I used the pool which was heated. Only 4ft deep. Nice lounge chairs to sit in. There are towels available. View of street. Nice shubbery along windows. Lots of birds nearby to watch. For accessibility, if you take the hallway next to lounge area near Starbucks, this will lead you to the pool.and fitness area otherwise you will encounter a set of stairs. There is a side door that can be accessed from the outside parking lot if you can't use stairs. Or if you want to be closer to your room. After using the pool, I went to sit at the outside deck. There were a variety of lounge chairs and couches with umbrellas. It was peaceful. There were gas lanterns around the deck as well. You can easily enter the lobby from several entrances, from the deck, from the front parking lot and from the side parking lot near the pool.

We booked our room 2 weeks before our arrival and everything was confirmed. I arrived at 12 in the night with my in-laws & 1 year old baby. They said the hotel is overbooked and they moved our reservation to other hotel which was almost 2 mile. I asked the lady why did this happen and why didn't they inform was before? To that she answered "I'm sorry and this the best she could do." I didn't except that reply, I was silent for couple of minutes. I asked How are we supposed to go there? To no surprise the answer was "you can just walk" 2 MILES with a baby and 2 senior citizens and luggage on a rainy midnight. (We're visiting the falls, coming from Europe we didn't have a car) This is the service & hospitality you get as a visitor in the states.

Nice and updated hotel. Very close to the falls. Only issue we had was when we booked our hotel room we booked a king suite. When we got to the hotel the receptionist told us they ā€œupgradedā€ our room because they ā€œfelt like itā€. It ended up being 2 queen beds which we were not fond of. We asked why this happened, they told us they were sold out of the king suites, which did not make sense because it let us book it on the website. Disappointing.

Stayed here for three nights and it was great! The king room was super spacious and clean. The toiletries are in big refillable bottles which is good so that I donā€™t have to ask for extra shampoo & conditioner. Ken at the front desk was extraordinary! He was very welcoming, friendly, and professional. We had an issue with the bedding when we got there, we brought it up to Ken and it got fixed quickly. The restaurant and bar are closed due to COVID which was a bummer. The hotel is in walking distant to the falls. Would definitely recommend!

Did not live up to the expectations for being one of the most expensive hotels in town. Cons: - smells like literal poop in the entrance and elevators - spiderwebs with giant spiders rule the patio, all the couches, chairs and tables are infested with them. - couches in the lobby appear clean but there was months worth of dirt in between the couch sections. - water fountain by the lobby needs a date with a cleaner ASAP - although itā€™s only a 2 min drive to the Niagara Falls State Park itā€™s not impressive or worth the money given there are cheaper name brand chains closer to the park. - Does not accept tap to pay, who doesnā€™t nowadays? Pros: - Very friendly staff, everyone smiles and says hi. - Starbucks at the bistro

Great location, but the compliments stop there. Arrived for a 2 night stay. The pullout sofa had soiled bedding on it that went through to the mattress (soiled brown). Put into another room with a broken shower for the night. The previous guestsā€™ trash was still in the room. We were offered free breakfast as an apology but they were sold out of most items offered. The third room had a shower that didnā€™t drain. Went to the pool only to find bandages, trash and popsicle sticks at the bottom of the pool. Disgusting and an embarrassment to the Marriott name.

We have stayed here many times as it is a great hotel with excellent service, perfect location (especially for fireworks), spacious and clean rooms, good parking, and an indoor pool. We were pleasantly surprised this trip as it has recently been renovated and we loved what they did to the rooms (except removing the fireplaces). Our only complaint is the breakfast buffet -- not very good quality and very few options for the price (we paid almost $100 for four with tip). We would certainly stay here again!

I could not say enough good things about this place! First off I had no idea it was an old chocolate factory, so cool! Next the young lady who checked us in Jordan was amazing! What an amazing personality, an asset to the hotel! The rooms are huge. The windows are fantastic. Our room had 2 queen beds and a twin pull out sofa, great for our kids. The bathroom was huge with a separate shower and jacuzzi tub. We will definitely stay here again next trip!

We wanted to love this hotel. Jordan, had great customer service, but thatā€™s the only positive. Our first room was infested with ants and the second one had a hole in the ceiling and the housekeeping was subpar at best. We had to cancel our stay after the first night and find a more suitable and clean location for our trip.

Staff was very friendly. However, rooms were super dirty with hair on all surfaces and coffee stains from the last guests. We made the mistake of also eating breakfast here and it was barely edible. One of their minimal options was not available so we settled for the "two eggs" meal. The toast was 100% black from being burnt. And the potatoes were breaded, deep fried, and disgusting.

Amazing place with super nice people! Our room was incredible! The shower was great, best one! (Set up was really neat and water was hot!!!!) Everyone working there were really nice and helpful! I can't sing enough praises for this place! Highly recommend it to anyone! Bed was very comfy, it was just a super great place! It was easy to find, great location to area things to see and do!

This hotel is extremely nice! Staff is very friendly and willing to help. My husband and I sat at the bar of the Bistro and watched as the overwhelmed bartender kindly took care of the guests. The housekeeper Danielle Ey jumped in with no hesitation to help. She would make a fantastic bartender, instead of a housekeeper. The heated pool was amazing. Overall the experience was great and I would definitely book this hotel again!

The room had no heatā€¦ in Niagaraā€¦ in Decemberā€¦ should be illegal. Also the roof had signs of a fresh leak they didnā€™t even bother to cover up. Stay away.

It smells like chocolate when you walk in! The staff is amazing & the rooms are modern, restaurant & bar on site, market available 24hrs. Short walk to the Falls. Will definitely stay again!

Cute hotel less than 15 minutes from the falls in an old chocolate factory. When you walk through the front doors, you're greeted by the smell of chocolate. The rooms are modern and a good size. Bathrooms are huge too.

Stayed two nights. Rooms were clean although our room had a weird smell. Hotel was clean overall. Nice location walking distance to Niagara Park. Friendly staff and Christina was helpful at check in. We stayed with our children and rooms worked well because the sound doesnā€™t travel so we didnā€™t hear other guest and they didnā€™t hear our children. Would stay again!

Jordan provided excellent assistance in finding rooms for us on very short notice. She is extremely helpful and personable, and truly a wonderful asset to this beautiful hotel. We felt like we were checking into to someone's home. We would definitely stay again.

It would be 4 stars because the pool left a bit to be desired as it really needed cleaned well. But our first night at check in Jordan was AMAZING!! She was super kind and helpful even gave us some great suggestions for dinner. Because she was so awesome we went with 5 stars!!! Room was HUGE, clean and comfy. $35 to park in the hotel's lot when I am already paying $220 a night was a bit irksome but other than that great stay!

I wasn't going to put in my 2 cents but I notice other past responses from the manager for complaints about this hotel seem to suggest that they would be taking care of their unkept and unserviced rooms but so far it hasn't. My recent experience was that of many others in the past who shared that their room looked as if it wasn't serviced. Mine appeared as if no one serviced the room we were given except to fix the beds (didn't appear to be new linens) food leftover stains on bed cover and sofa. Moldy shower and shower walls and mirrors didnt looked like they we're recently wiped down. The bathroom was not wiped down and there wasn't any shampoo and low on conditioner in the dispensers. Whatever coffee was leftover from previous guest and ice bucket but no cups. Tissue box in the bathroom was soaked through and appeared to have toothpaste or something green inside. Nasty but didn't appear to be mold. Light fixtures were growing dusty bunnies and we had to swat about 3 flying insects within the first hour. The desk chair had food remnants and the the balcony furniture was decorated with spider webs, cigarette butts and a discarded pen and littered with something that resembled gecko poo. There's more but that should be enough to ask the manager to look into the situation and fix the problem instead of saying you will.

This hotel is very neat and clean. The front desk staff was very good and welcoming. He upgraded us to 2 queen suite room. The rooms are very spacious. They charged us extra $10 for parking. But overall we loved the stay in this hotel. They also have swimming pool and small fitness center.

This hotel is wonderful!! The entire staff was so friendly and kind. Loretta was the best. She definitely went above and beyond. My son and I got there at 2am after looking for a new hotel for an hour. The place we were originally at was a nightmare šŸ˜¤ Thank you for making everything so much better šŸ„° Room was great, beds are very comfortable. Everything was very clean. We will definitely make this our go to place!!!

  • 5/5 Nicolaas S. 1 year ago on Google
This hotel was originally a chocolate factory šŸ˜‹ Some of the original building is still visible in the lobby. The room I had was really nice with high ceilings. Staff was great and the Bistro burger was delicious.

Disgusting. There is a smell at the hotel and in the room. The room was not cleaned properly. Hair was in the shower and in bed. The staff is not friendly, forget about hospitality. Definitely will not be coming back but it puts a question mark on the whole Marriott brand for me too, although I have been a loyal customer for years!

Nice room. The pullout bed was not comfortable for one and would not comfortably fit 2 small teenager girls. A rollout bed was provided. Worked well! Serves breakfast but not lunch and dinner. Food was good. Not too far from the falls.

Stayed two nights. Seems to be a newer build. Had issues with cleanliness and things like the faucets not affixed to the bathroom counter and the shower was mouldy. Tub would not drain and had to call maintainence. Fixed but had to leave room for 1/2 an hour. Location is okay but on the outskirts of the tourist area. If you are not willing to walk at last 20 minutes or drive to the main tourist area don't stay here. Night manager the first night was very nice and helpful. Rest of workers were OK but not very helpful with requests. Gym was very small with bench, few dumbells, two treadmills, and two bikes. Overall not a great stay for us.

  • 2/5 Rachel R. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel was not well upkept. Poor view of abandoned warehouses. Had to switch rooms because original room smelled like mildew. Pillows and blankets were uncomfortable. Poor water pressure and water temperature. Staff was receptive and helpful! Would only stay here if absolutely necessary like to stop from a long road trip. Otherwise, would not go back again

I had come here for family vacation. Very sub-par experience with customer service and housekeeping. We landed in the room, basic toiletries missing, we asked for it and got it. It might be a miss, no problem. But if you are staying there for 3 nights at a tourist place, you expect trash to be taken out and towels to be replaced. On our third morning I called, reminded in person to send house keeping. Came back with family in the afternoon and nothing was done. Called the same lady at the front desk, she made excuse that house keeping is almost finished, so they can only replace towel. What a joke! I persisted and then things were taken care off. The location of hotel is bit faraway from the other cohort to the park but is a nice stroll in a good weather. Decent outdoor seating but right next to high traffic area

Great building with a ton of history! The lobby is beautiful along with the fitness center and pool. Highlights for me was the balconies and huge guest rooms. Excellent staff, always helpful and great info on where to go and what to eat! Will be back soon!

  • 5/5 Jani S. 2 years ago on Google
Very clean and close to all tourist attractions. Cam at the front desk is the best! He was so nice and helpful. He recommended some really nice restaurants as well.
