Great location for the price. The rooms were squeaky clean and the bathrooms were well equipped. The breakfast spread was good. The only issue was the noise from upstairs. It was too loud. But, I would recommend this place.

Was initially going to rate as a 4 star because the location is great, rooms are clean, and service is attentive. However, I noticed that for the security deposit ($200USD), they actually CHARGE it on your credit card. It is not merely a hold. This is a huge barrier to some individuals. The refund took about a week to return to my card. With the exchange rate, I also lost a couple of bucks. Breakfast subpar (only hot item was waffles, on the plus side).

Great location, close to the Niagara Falls just 10mins drive. $200 deposit required. Rooms are great with all the amenities you need: heater/AC, safe, iron, microwave, fridge, hair dryer, hot water, table and chairs. So for the price, cant complain much. However, the thick dust on the floor need attention and clearly dirty floor with shoe prints. The bed is spring bed and pretty old so it’s slanted/ sinking. Simple free breakfast with cereals, oatmeals, muffins, waffles, bagels, toast and juices/hot drinks.

We stayed here for a 3-day Niagara Falls weekend visit. Clean room, but there were a few very small flying things in the bathroom mostly. The TV remote was junk, we found a tolerable movie station and never changed it! We got a queen sized bed, very comfy. We could hear people going up and down the steel stairs outside our door all night. The staff does their very best to take care of guests with what they have to work with. The continental breakfast was all bread and starchy stuff, no eggs or meat. No coffee machine in the room, but they have 24 hr free coffee in the lobby - a big plus! OK, so this was basic accommodations, we saved a bunch of money and we could have done a lot worse. Thumbs up.

Great place to stay if you’re going to go out and see everything! Clean room, NO BED BUGS!!, and surprisingly quiet for being first floor on a busy road. Room door requires some finesse to open (read: use your shoulder and push), and the bathroom door seemed warped for the frame but no complaints. Welcome Center/Visitor Info is currently closed so don’t make our mistake of stopping by it; a look through the window showed it was being used to hold lawnmowers, old copiers, and general construction materials.

The lady at the front desk was a sweeheart, everybody was kind I can't complain about that, but as soon as we opened the hotel room my wife said she smelled cigarettes. I have sort of a more trained nose, so I realized it wasn't cigarettes it was the industrial cleaning products they use at some hotels and hospitals. The room smelled like a janitor closet. The experience was not negative, but as a constructive criticism, go a bit easier with the cleaner.

Do not believe the photos in Hotels.com or other sites, they belong to a different location of the chain. Also they copied some pictures from neighboring hotel "Comfort Inn", INCREDIBLE!!!. This one is dirty as hell. Also, there is no housekeeping even if you ask. Pay a bit more and get a better hotel in the area, there are plenty!!!

Had a nice stay here last week. I thought it was closer to the falls, but it was an 11 minute drive- nothing terrible though. They have a pretty good complimentary breakfast and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful. I would come back if I was headed that way again.

Was a very great and comfortable place to stay! I loved the king room with the jacuzzi. Jets were amazing. Room could have been cleaner and the windows could of been dusted. But besides that, it was a easant stay, the breakfast was good, and a free trolley to Niagra Falls and back. Great Staff too.

Great spot that is reasonably priced. Friendly staff, nice big room, and super easy to get to with lots of amenities around. Definitely would stay again.

We stayed there for 1 night when we visited the falls. Clean room in safe location, gentleman at the reception was super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was better than we expected actually so good start for the next day. We'd stay there again if we were in the area.

For those like me that look for a nice clean room with a comfortable bed, with the full understanding that when you're on vacation you're just basically sleeping in the room, this is the place for you! The room was really nicely decorated. Air conditioning was great. The bathroom was clean. Only one small complaint. There is a large envelope left for tips for the cleaning staff. However, in the two nights stay that we were there, they never went in to do anything! TIP TO HOUSEKEEPING: Tidy up each room everyday and you'd receive a tip. A $5 tip per room per day adds up. (I leave $10 per day).

We really had a great time with the kids. Rooms are old, hangers are broken, ac system very old. Breakfast simple but good. The pool is warm. Free parking. Line all hotels they said one price and charged like $100 mire

We stayed here as a one night stop on a road trip. This has been one of the best hotels we have stayed in on this trip. Very clean, comfy bed, slept great! The young lady at the desk when we checked in on 10/8/23 was super sweat and super helpful. The gentleman that checked us out on 10/9 was just as nice and helpful. We had to leave super early but he even offered to let us get breakfast a little early so we would have something on the road. Great all around!

Everything we needed for a great price. Not the place for 3+ star experience, but we were comfortable during our several day stay. The room had a microwave, mini fridge, TV, hair dryer, and a safe. The best part for us was the playground where our toddler was able to enjoy being outside. There's no hot breakfast, but there's a variety of things like cereal, bagels, waffles, fruit, and toast. We only had a few interactions with staff, but they were great. We checked out a day early for other reasons and were refunded for the final reserved night, in addition to not being charged for losing a key card. Not sure if we'll visit the area again, but we would come back here if we did. It's an ideal budget option.

Loved staying here. Room was large, beautifully decorated and had a comfortable and luxurious bed. Friendly staff, good hot breakfast, beautiful lobby. Safe, quiet area. Nice playground ( I’d say large enough for ages up to 10). Affordable price and renovated, clean building. 10/10

My husband took me just so i could relax. The room was very clean and neat. We always clean the hot tub ourselves even though it was already very clean. We always stay in the same room and the front desk never has a problem accommodating us. They are always so nice and friendly. The price is always reasonable. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

For the price, you get what you expect. The room was tight, especially the bathroom. Hard to close the door while in there yourself. The room, especially the sheets, were not as clean as I would have liked. The outdoor pool is nice, nothing fancy, with a small playground for kids next to it. Breakfast included waffles and other typical foods and was good. About a 5-10 minute drive from Niagara Falls state park.

We made a reservation the same day when we should have arrived. Due to issues with our car, we couldn't manage to come that evening, but we sent a kind request to reschedule our arrival time for early in the morning, but property didn't reply on time. We submitted request around 5PM and received an answer just next day at 10AM stating that they cannot approve this for us BUT THAT OUR CANCELLATION FROM YESTERDAY IS STILL APPLICABLE. However, we arrived at the property and receptionists told us that our room has been rented to someone else and that our reservation is not applicable anymore. This was very very bad from Econo Lodge towards their guests. In order to be able to refund some part of our payment, we had to cancel the reservation that day. Of course, the story is not over here - we sent dozens of emails about the refund of our money. In the reservation email was stated that the cancellation fee would be a certain price, but after 15 days of waiting, we received much less refund than initially confirmed in email. VERY BAD BEHAVIOUR FROM ECONO LODGE. First they let us without our paid room and after that they stole our money. Each property should have a way on how to support their customers in case of accident and in case of coming later to accomodation. This happens to people all the time, but to leave them without accomodation and to steal their money is very very bad.

Floors of room filthy, stains on the outside cover, beds are okay. Room mildew and mold smell if ac is running. Pool is decent just small. Breakfast is all carbs except for Saturday bacon and eggs, eggs are awful watery. Front desk staff are friendly. Towels had some stains on them. Has safe, tv, mini fridge, microwave. No bugs.

The place is affordable, convenient and minutes away from the Niagara Falls. The room was fine; it had a small fridge, TV and a microwave which is a huge plus. The bathroom although small was nice and clean. My only two complains would be 1) the air conditioner that was dirty and our sleep time wasn't the best because of the noise and the vibrations that it produced, and 2) there is no protein of any kind included in the breakfast -No eggs, sausage or bacon, (only carbs) so if you are conscience about your diet, keep this in mind. Final verdict: I would stay at this location again, and I would recommend it to anyone, but to the administration, you have a few assignments to work with to bring the experience to the next level, and I know you can achieve it.

I guess I forgot to take a picture here, but this place was recommendable. Considering that this is a 2 star hotel, it is great. What I like the most was the atmosphere. I would say the workers were enjoying, so they were smiling and kind. The breakfast was also good enough to break fast :) The lady in charge of the breakfast was nice. They have a small playground area, which was nicely made, and maintained. Also, there was a pool. Rooms were clean enough. Bed frames had wheels. Bathroom is not big, but has a bathtub. Waters were good. Located in about 10 mins away from the Niagara Falls. And all the markets and restaurants are near.

We stayed here to see Niagara Falls, and the location was pretty good. You'll definitely have to drive, but it was an easy trip. Staff was helpful and polite. Free breakfast was decent, better than other hotels we stayed at on this trip. The playground was a nice touch for our young kids. The room was so tiny, our fridge leaked all over the floor, and the blow dryer didn't work, which was disappointing as our shoes got soaked from the Falls and we wanted to dry them.

My family and I had rented a room here for two nights and three days. We had to get soap and towels ourselves at the front desk as none were provided. After the first night, we had spent the whole day out and did not return until night. Cleaning services for the room were completely neglected. The beds were not made, the bins were full, and the housekeeping overall was neglected. We tried sending an email explaining the situation but the email they provided us was not working. It turned out that the domain does not exist. We also made a complaint at front desk and nothing was done.

Perfectly located to Falls and University. Close proximity to restaurants, movie theater, and shopping. Very clean room, hard wood floors throughout the room. Clean, heated pool well maintained. Nice playground. Room is fully equipped with safe, refrigerator, microwave, small table with chairs, hair dryer, etc. Beds were clean and comfortable. Free breakfast including waffles, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice. I didn't realize when I booked the hotel that the hotel rooms are accessible from the outside which is always a security and safety concern for me. Hotel is outdated and could use simple maintenance updates. Peephole on the inside of my room was broken and stuffed with kleenex. The door jam was not installed properly so it doesn't block the door if someone were to try and open it. The curtains do not block the light since the outside lights shine right through which doesn't help those who like it dark at night for sleeping. Hotel sign is faded and worn which doesn't give good curb appeal.

Upon entering our room we could immediately smell the clean! Bed was very comfortable. Gentleman that checked us in was very friendly. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Econo Lodge Falls North last week and it was a overall a good stay. Room was clean when we arrived so I can't complain about that, but we did stay there two days and room service never came. I didn't really mind because of our short stay and to avoid filling our room's trash bin, I just threw our garbage in the bins outside the room, which trash appeared to be getting collected from those. After a lot of research trying to find a hotel with an outdoor pool, this was our better choice. Additionally, since we traveled with our 3 and 6 year old, the playground next to the pool was a major plus. I think the kids probably enjoyed that playground more than the visit to Niagara Falls State Park. One downside is the location, about three miles from the state park, so you definitely have to drive or take the free shuttle. As far as breakfast, the coffee was really good. There really wasn't a protein option but I was fine with a bagel with cream cheese, and the kids had some cereal. The only other negative thing was that around this time of the year in late June, the mosquitos and gnats swarming everywhere really bad, some even got into our room and it was really annoying. Definitely take a mosquito repellent, because I forgot ours and I was bit pretty badly on my legs.

This was a 2 star price but more like a 3.5-4 star hotel in terms of how nice and clean it was. Room was super clean with no issues at all, wood laminate floor and nice King sized bed. The Wife and I both have back problems and I slept great but she less so. A/C was perfect, very quiet and kept it very comfortable. The housekeeping lady was very nice and delivered towels. The room was odor free and just very nice. The office and breakfast area was very nice and had a little gift shop area and spiral staircase. Pool and play area with a little pirate ship. Wouldnt hesitate to stay here again, also only a mile or two to downtown Niagara Falls.

  • 3/5 Jared M. 2 years ago on Google
The room was really clean, but a little rough around the edges (unpatched holes in the wall from where something used to be mounted, etc.). It was quiet and well located, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if passing through the area.

The room was great! The lady that worked at the front desk named Ariana she was amazing I would highly recommend this hotel to everybody. Will stay here again went up at Niagara Falls

Had a good time with family. Supportive front desk. Got early check in, just have to wait for 10 minutes. Rooms has microwave and small refrigerator.. that's and advantage. Kids play area is good and outdoor tables too. Pool is heated and can be used until 12 in the night we were the only family using at 11pm, kind of good privacy.. We went on a week days and so only few people were there. Place is an excellent point on middle of everything like 10 min drive to the fashion outlet and Just 20 min drive to the falls, went to Niagara at late night to enjoy the night lights. Only concern is not much variety in the breakfast only buns n breads. And that to okay for the amount we pay.. finally is family friendly, budget and best.

Our room was fair at best. Very disappointed with the bed, it was like sleeping on lumps and was so hard. The room wasn't very clean. I know it's a money saving hotel but some things are just unacceptable. Our sheets had holes and we'll the pictures show the dirty bathroom. The toilet was made for little kids, it was so low to the ground. Aubrey was extremely rude and when we booked our room the dates got put in wrong and they had to fix it, we had to pay twice and she refused to refund us. This hotel is not a good idea.
