One of the most beautiful places in Nice. The remembering of the dead and the overall memory of the Great War is seen throughout Nice and the area in churches and monuments like these. It is a great part of french and européen history and should be a place to visit for all. This monument is absolutely stunning and I recommend to all for a moment of consideration and respect. It is lit up at night, but during the day the text and names is more easily read.

This mausoleum is dedicated to the memory of about 4000 Niçois men who lost their lives during the Great War. I was very impressed by the deep respect the Nice and its neighbor villages pay to the French combatants during both World Wars. If you look carefully around the streets and houses here at Nice and around, there are many discrete but touching labels reminding on local heroes.

Beautiful monument for those who died in the world wars. I liked now the monument lights up at night with three main colours re-creating the flag of France.

The Monument to the Dead of Rauba-Capeu serves as a place for locals and tourists alike to pay their respects and honor the memory of the fallen soldiers. Its serene atmosphere and well-maintained surroundings create an ambiance of reverence and reflection. The monument encourages visitors to pause, contemplate, and appreciate the sacrifices made by those who fought for their country. One of the highlights of visiting the Monument is the awe-inspiring panoramic views it offers. Positioned on Castle Hill, the monument provides a vantage point that overlooks the entire city of Nice. Visitors can marvel at the picturesque scenery, including the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea, the colorful rooftops of the old town, and the lush greenery of the surrounding hills. It is a view that truly takes your breath away.

Lovely architecture in this memorial that looks like it's carved out of the rock face at the base of the cliff. The War Memorial was very clean and tidy when we visited as you would expect. With stunning views across the harbour although the road by the monument is fairly busy it is quite tranquil and a fitting monument to the brave residents who gave their lives to free France.

We saw this during the day but only snap photos at night.. This is right next to the Mediterranean, so you have a beautiful view 360°. Also right next to a ship yard with super yachts.

The number of wars in which the French have taken part is sadly impressing from the famous battles of WW1 to the Indochina conflict leading to the Vietnam war. The memorial is set in the Castle Hill rock in elegant white stone, the square in front is lined with small columns for each type of warfare, Aviation, Navy, Infantry. The location by the sea and the artwork are so gorgeous that the main impression is still positive.

The monument was erected in 1928 in memory of the four thousand inhabitants of Nice who fell on the battlefields of the First World War.

A beautiful, very large monument, set into the side of the port's overhanging cliffs. It is patriotically lit in red, white and blue in the evening to create a moving reminder of the sacrifice made by so many for our liberty, freedom and equality
