I'd like to start with a postivie and that is that the staff are friendly, however that is ONLY reason this is a 2 star review and not a 1 star review. When we asked if we could move rooms, they were prompt in replying and did allow our request. First off, the way the rooms look on Booking.com is a far cry from reality, the rooms are tiny, the walls are thin and you can hear the conversations and toilet flushes of your neighbours. The hotel is filthy, the room smelled damp and there was mould in the bathroom. I can only assume the carpet choice was made so that it hides stains easier and doesn't need to be cleaned very well. I've added pictures of the stains and dust from our room, as well as the little guest I found on our bed the morning of our departure. For £140 a night I quite frankly feel ripped off.

We stayed at this hotel for a week while exploring Cote d’Azur. While the staff are pleasant and the location very convenient for the public transport, we’ve encountered major issues with our room. The room was ok size wise, but the bathroom was tiny and badly designed. Our one in particular was mouldy - black specks of mould on the ceiling and on the shower walls. The towel hooks kept coming away from the walls because they were stuck on with adhesive instead of being properly secured. Shower doors were slightly misaligned resulting in a risk of flooding to the bathroom whenever I showered. The main bedroom itself had a slightly damp smell and the aircon unit didn’t work, so we were left having to open the window frequently, in November’s chilly weather. Decoration wise, the rooms are well appointed, but ours again was somewhat dirty - there were stains on the walls from where things had been spilled against the soundproofing wall coverings, the main mirror had specks of dust on it etc. As it turns out, their housekeeping are so short-staffed that regularly our room would not be made up until 4pm or so and I’d have to go down to reception and request to have it done up. Even then, because everyone on the maintenance team seems to be overstretched, the room would just not get cleaned well (used cups not replaced, bathroom sink left dirty, surfaces not wiped down etc). The wi-fi was fine, the lobby nice enough. The lift is tiny and just big enough to fit two people with luggage or a parent with a small pushchair. We did not partake in breakfast. While the hotel is rated 4*, it definitely did not feel like a genuine 4* experience. Overall I’d not stay there again.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel given the current reviews. Yes the bathrooms were small and dated, but they were clean and the shower was warm with good pressure. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel had a lovely ambience and small but comfortable main floor lounge. The location is wonderful - so close to the train station and the tram stop into town. It's also less than 10 min walk from the other tram line (and airport stop). I would happily stay here again. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The fact that this is an 4 star hotel makes me give lower ratings. It's not ideal for long-term stay, it's just, I don't know what exactly to pinpoint it on. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The only bad thing is that lots of things in the room didn't work, and no one seemed to care. We left the door handle to the bathroom on the floor each time, cause it didn't work, but after cleaning, they just put it back on, even though it doesn't work, and fall of when you touch it. You can't close the door to the bathroom, which is not a huge problem, the thing is, it's not one thing, it's an overall experience that makes me leave a two stars.. Lamp didn't work, the main door to the room didn't open or close normally, so you had to push with great power until it slammed closed and probably annoy everyone who stayed on the same floor. Stained floor, they did constructionwork in the hotel room next to us, in the morning, without letting us know, drilling into the wall we where sleeping next to... I mean? People fighting outside, drunk people yelling and drinking some more. Seems like that exact corner is a meet and greet for people who just wants to hang out and I'm not saying it's bad, but it ads to the experience. We had to call the police after one fight got a little out of hand and honestly not something that they need to do Infront of a lot of people. Breakfast is bare minimum. They have what they need to be qualified a 4 star hotel. But that's it. BARE minimum. After 10 days you're just not gonna want to go to breakfast anymore. All of these things are things I would expect from a 3 stars hotel, without any complaining, but that's not the case here..

Considering it was such a reasonably priced hotel, it was lovely! We had a nice room with a balcony. It was spotlessly clean. We had a kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly. My husband wished we had at lest one English tv channel though. The location was near takeaway restaurants and a busy shopping area. It was a little scary outside at night but that is common in most busy cities. Room safe was free and easy to use.

Don't recommend at all! The vacation got canceled because of Covid-19 and the director of the hotel (Mr. Eric) promised us a refund for the 3 rooms that we've booked and paid. The last email that we've received was a confirmation that we will get a credit note, but they've never answered any of our emails and we've never received the credit Making promises, but don't keeping it. Good job guys! Thanks for my loss of about 500 euro. Please think twice before booking at this hotel!

Overcharged us for the room. Our online booking was “cancelled” for whatever reason and they proceeded to charge us the price that was listed on our “cancelled” booking when the price was actually cheaper. We got overcharged about €20-€30. Extremely disappointed in the dishonesty of the staff. In addition to the overcharge, they really charged me an extra €2 for a water bottle, but didn’t tell me beforehand? Seriously? I paid over $100 for the room and this is the level of service I get? What a joke. Will not be return to this hotel or any Best Western.

Super friendly staff speaking English very well. Hotel is located 3 minutes of walk from the train station, but quite far from the promenade. For me it was a perfect spot as I did not mind the walking distance from the old town. The room was small, yet perfect for one person.

Stayed here with friend for few nights on a cycling trip. Single rooms are very small. I banged my head on the bathroom cup holders twice and the TV as this place lives up to its name. Beds very comfortable. Rooms quiet, staff friendly and location excellent. Breakfast adequate but not great. Same every morning ( bit of variety would be nice) overall a nice hotel but not sure it warrants its 4* award. This is a 2* at best. Late check out cost 69 euro which seemed unreasonably steep

Medium quality. Generally ok. We need the room only to sleep… small room. All hotels have a bootle of water Free waiting for you that is great when you arrive and don’t have anywhere to go Hate the bathroom with almost no space for shower… and I think I am not that fat… and difficult control of water temperature.

Our experience was ugly. We stayed there for 2 nights. The first night the toilet was clogged and we couldn't use it. The receptionist gave us as solution, use the toilet of the reception, because they did not have a free room to offer us. At the end of our stay, we asked directly to the owner of the hotel, the pay back of the first night, since we had not been able to make use of the paid services, and not only she denied it without letting us talk, but also speaking to us in a rude and impolite manner. The rooms and the hotel was ok, but because of that and the way that they treat us, will be the first and last time we stay there.

Cosy room in the heart of Nice. Train station was 5 min away and to the beach takes you about 15 min walking. The price was good, bed was very comfortable but some things don’t seem like for a 4 star hotel. The room we had was small but had everything you need. We booked a soundproof room, it was not, but we decided it’s not a big issue, until our 3rd night in(after 00:00), from some of the other guests room, you could hear really loud tv, and people constantly laughing. The stuff tried to handle the situation but without big succes. Breakfast was ok, but not very divers, could use some vegetables as well. I’ve never been to Nice before and it was a last minute trip, so I’m not sure if you could find better options for that kind of price.

This review is really a struggle, because the location is great and the hotel atmosphere for the most part is well appointed, but we had some issues during our stay. First, the morning/midday checkin lady seemed to be a bit unamused or unwelcoming both days in which we had an interaction with her (in her defense, this could be a language barrier, or a cultural difference). Second, we notified the front desk almost immediately after check-in that we had some strange grinding noise coming from the ceiling of our room, and then took a staff member up to confirm it who sent maintenance up. We were exhausted from our early morning travels from Spain, and wished to rest before going out to dinner, but instead of being offered another room while their maintenance team diagnoses and repairs, we were left to sit in our room while they worked around us in a small space and we were exhausted. The conclusion was that the water pump from our AC unit was faulty and making the noise, and their solution was to wrap it in cloth and styrofoam to help mask the noise. Never were we offered an alternate room. It really is a shame though, because the evening desk staff and all of the maintenance/housekeeping staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location really is near perfect. The inconvenience of the room mixed with the construction occurring right next door just left us a bit disappointed with this property. We may consider staying here again, as this situation probably wouldn’t reoccur or happen to someone else.

Soon after I woke up I realised the AC has been leaking water all night long on my phone, but I was in a hurry to take my train and didn't have time to discuss that with the front desk at the moment. Two hours after the check out my phone stopped working and didn't charge the battery. I called in the hotel and they claimed that there is no issue with their climatisation system. I leave to people to decide if it is me who invents the story or the hotel which refuses to take the responsibility for that. On top of everything they charge 30 eur extra for a pet, which is relatively high in my opinion. The room was very humid and smelled bad.

Do not go to this hotel! At no point do I recommend this hotel. I was with my family this whole time and they stole 10.000$ worth of clothes (THE STAFF) Clothes, belts, and jewelry. When we asked and showed proof they simply turned their heads around and wouldn’t cooperate with us. They were beyond disrespectful!! I never had this experience in my life! We were shocked with the feedback. Now they’re facing legal charges.
