Ate there recently and were VERY disappointed. We both ordered risotto with scallops - the rice had a gummy texture and the scallops were waaaaay overcooked making them rubbery. Being just a stone's throw from the ocean, seafood should be prepared much better than this. Service was typical France - we'll get around to your table when we feel like it and not a moment before. No thanks...

The seafood pizza was increadably delicious. The dough was thin and nicely cooked so that it had some structure and crunch. The toppings were varied and generous. The Nicoise salad was top notch with lots of fresh and flavorful ingredients. Excellent service to boot.

amazingly pleasant place in the very center of old Nice with traditional Nice cuisine I was able to try the neçoise salad as well as steak and bone marrow It was a superbly chic wine and of course the pirol spritz will not leave you indifferent❤️☺️

We passed by this restaurant with an empty stomach but finished with a super surprise. The sardine and sea bass was cooked to a top class standard with a selection of top class fish. The stew beef is also tasteful. It’s incredible to see the bill at the end of the meal, it is extraordinary value for money. I promise you won’t regret if you order fish in this small restaurant.

Unfortunately disappointing. The salade nicoise looked delicious but came with little to no seasoning. The promising seared tuna on top of it was stone-cold and dry. It definitely wasn’t cooked a la minute! The sardines with salad (again, no seasoning) and potato gratin (slightly burned, chewy and dry, maybe cooked another day and just reheated too) where okay, but after having had much better seafood in Nice before, it was disappointing as well. Overall not a place to be recommended from my point of view.

A disappointing experience. The good news ; service was quick and correct, and the wine was good. The hot chevre was quite nice as well. The seafood linguini, however, was a disaster. The seafood was overcooked beyond the believable and the following food poisoning ruined the night.

To be honest, I didn’t expect too much from this restaurant. Located in the centre of attractions, this kind of restaurants are usually aiming at a onetime deal. However, I would go to this restaurant for a second time. Although they were very busy, the receptionist managed to quickly find me a table. The menu was carefully crafted highlighting all the local specialties, including Niçois Salade, Socca, Pissaladière, Farcis and many others. The portion was a little bit large even for a foodie like me. But considering the price, it’s a deal. The reason why I would come back again is because the taste is actually not bad! It’s not like those ‘soul less food’ that this kind of restaurant topically offers. My Farcis was properly cooked and carefully delivered. The texture, the temperature and the taste are all right. The desserts were also good. It seems that they those desserts by themselves because some options were sold out when I tried to order. I got a tiramisu finally and the portion is again larger than average. The other reason I gave them 5 stars is that they achieved a relatively high efficiency for the resources given. I also worked in this kind of business before so I know it’s not easy. Although they were very busy they didn’t kept me long. The waiters were also well behaved without messing everything up. All in all, if you want a safe bet in the tourism area, this is your place.

We were in a hurry to go somewhere, and let the waitress know. She was super understanding about it, and the food came out pretty fast. The food was really good, and there are also some vegetarian options. It’s a nice place to try! We sat inside, but outside is a busy street and there are musicians playing outside, so it seems like it was pretty lively outside!

I've read the other good reviews. And it made me think. There is a good chance that we ordered the two dishes that are just not good there. Nevertheless, even if that's the case - it's worth mentioning, maybe the owners will do something about it. The two things we had were saffron risotto and seafood linguine. Risotto had a texture of overcooked porridge and it was too salty. Two, large chips of dry sausage didn't look nice and didn't improve the taste and overall impression of the dish. But my pasta was even worse. If you have a restaurant in Nice, next to the sea and a source of daily fresh seafood, preparing a simple, tasty seafood pasta should be the simplest thing. I don't know how it's possible, but I never ate a worse seafood dish. I hope that the seafood was fresh but wrongly prepared. But I'm not sure, it didn't really taste fresh. I wasn't poisoned, so that's a good thing, but the taste was just not right. I ate it because I was really hungry at the moment. There are other low reviews of those two dishes here, so something is definitely wrong with them. Other than that - a nice place with nice staff. To the owners - please inspect and react!

Excellent and large portions. Lasagna was delicious and so was the ratatouille. It is a big serving for a starter.

What a terrible meal we had, my pesto spaghetti was so so bland and the fish soup also no flavour, so shocking and the worst was the Ratatouille! It's tasted like vinegar ot lemon, yet they say none of that was in, all the veg were same colour and the good was off! What a let down and this is in line with the other posts on these dishes, I was offered 2 free drinks instead, but declined and left food not eaten and a hefty bill for zero taste! My wife said this is one of the worst meals she has ever eaten and was off, the young lady nice service but the chef needs firing and the owners need to wake up! Tourist trap!

Nice restaurant in the center of old Nice! Food is delicious and fresh. The negative side is smoking people. Two smoking people managed to destroy the atmosphere in the restaurant. As a result I came back home with a headache. They might have done there place a non smoking area. Edit: I was sick for two days after grilled sardines. Beware of this meal, I suppose the fish wasn’t fresh because of hot weather. It might be really dangerous! Don’t recommend sardines in this restaurant!!!!!!

Great service and decently priced food. Had the gnocci and ratatouille but the real winner was the desert Pana cotta.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Nice old themed interior. Very good quality food with authentic touch. Highly recommended. 👍🏼

Good quality, good quantity, fair prices! Filets de rouget and meat dishes really taste

We were walking around with my girlfriend and we were looking for a place to have lunch. There not so many people apart from us, the waiters were very nice and attentive. I have ordered the daily menu which was 25 euros you can choose out of 4 starters, 4 main dishes and 8 types of desserts. The amounts were amazing and the taste were amazing. The ratatouille was a giant portion and it was only the starter. The gnocchi was very good the sauce on top was very tasty as well, plus the dried cherry tomatoes were a great addition too. My girlfriend ate rabbit with mushroom sauce, potato gratin, some little side salads and ratatouille as sides. I could not even finish the gnocchi after the ratatouille, but there was the dessert left. I have asked for a panna cotta because I was hopeful it would be a smaller portion, but it was very generous as well. I would like to recommend this place to everyone, give them a chance!

Best pizza ever. Very tasty food, excellent service, kind and polite. Last week in Nice we had a wonderful lunch in this restaurant. Definitely recommande to go there. Last week October 2022 I went there again. Always clean, friendly and delicious.

Noisy and crowded evening dining. Gluten free options clearly marked on the menu. We had steak and frites. Meat was a bit tough, food was simple and okay but nothing exciting. Wine by the glass was also fine. Basic food but nothing special. Good atmosphere in the street.

Amazing place, staff super available and gentle. Very nice atmosphere and food is outstanding! Goat cheese with apples and ratatouille were outrageous. My boyfriend order the entrecot and was completely satisfied. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. If in Nice definitely pass by.

I was quite satisfied with the service! The daily menu was cheap (25 eur) and you can choose a starter and main-course plus a desert. The price was very reasonable and the food was good quality. Check this place out, if you’re visiting Nice ☺️🇫🇷

Good service but the food not so good. The risotto has a gummy texture and had way to much spices and saffron. The pasta had too much sauce and the mushroom had “freezer” taste.

The food is so good! The staff is friendly and professional. I visited twice during a week long visit and each time I was greeted with a smile and welcomed to enjoy my dinner. Reservations are not needed and around 8pm the place is packed. The staff speaks English so this place is great for tourists. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant at least once during your stay.

Beautiful and tasty dishes, the assiette tapenade was superb, and the entrecote, followed by a renovated tiramisù, were the cherry on top. Staff is super friendly and polite, it was a relaxing and delicious experience.

This was hands down the best pesto we had in Nice, and better than anything we have ever had in San Francisco. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, we had such a great time. The portions were quite large and extremely filling, we didn't have any room for dessert.

The lunch menus are tasty, but nothing too special. I can recommend it for having lunch within a nice atmosphere on the street. As a single course, the dishes might be a little overprized.

Amazing - the best Italian I’ve ever had - size of the serves, the service, the quality of the food are all second to none. This comment I never give this freely. This place I was pushed into going by my wife and friends- the best push I’ve had for a long time.

A beautiful restaurant with seating both in and out side. The menu has some unique and freshly made dishes. The pizza was amazing and full of nice vegetables. Fish was fresh and well prepared. The wine selection is amazing and complements the food well. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff, busy but still cosy in old Nice, big portions, you won't leave this place hungry, resonably pricing. Good vegetarian alternatives!
