Looking for some needed peace and refuge from the noise at the Cannes Film Festival area, the Church of Our Lady of Good Voyage is just down the road. At the Eglise Notre-Dame de Bon Voyage, even the church laid its red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival. Unbeknownst to me, beggars also exist among the rich in Cannes. Some beggar was asking for some loose change while opening the church door for us. It just caught us by surprise but they are our fellowmen who also want some respect and care. Please spare some love when you meet one. Thanks :-)

The film festival in the region is usually a continuous Catholic church. When weather is good or when there is a traditional activity in the region and of course naturally, there is more intensity on Sundays.

This is a nice church to visit to get a glimpse of the local culture. While not as grandiose as some cathedrals, it had a more reachable feel. The architecture is fairly simple, yet it is clean and scaled enough to be impressive. It is a worthwhile side trip when checking out seaside Cannes.

The church is one of the most beautiful I have seen here in Cannes. Every evening it's been lightened with beautiful colour design from outside and every thursday evening from 19:00-21:00 is the rehearsal of the choir which sings the sunday church services in different churches all over Cannes and also has a good variety of other concerts including Gospel Concerts with the amazing solo singer Grace Beauly who has not only an incredible voice but an energy out of this universe... The next concert is going to be at this church Notre Dame de Bon Voyage the 20th december 2022 at 20:00.
