It is a wonderful hike from Arima and it is well worth it! The roundtrip along the hiking trail is around 12km and took us 4 hours to complete. The view from the top of Mount Rokkō is excellent - you can see all the way to Osaka! There is plenty of greenery and nature along the way too!

Absolutely enjoyed my hike from Arima Onsen to the peak of Mt Rokko, followed by a walk to the Garden Terrace and hike down again to Arima Onsen. It's a pretty easy walk if you're fit, but steps can be incredibly tall so it's not for everyone or those with knee problems imho

This is a great easy hike. If you really want to hike, start from Kobe hike all the way to the onsen on the other of the mountain. Enjoy onsen after a long hike!

Spare some time before hiking. Can follow the hiking trail as it gives the direction clearly. At around 6 PM(dark in atumm) at the freezing cold summit of rokko, We were lucky to get a ride from a Japanese man.
