👍👍 Loved this place! I met my local friends here for dinner. Usually when I visit local friends, they request a foreign restaurant or eatery when we hang out because they eat local food all the time and there is no novelty there but my friends were super excited to take me here so I already knew it was... People often mention good, restaurant, Thai, dishes, friends,

Loved this place! I met my local friends here for dinner. Usually when I visit local friends, they request a foreign restaurant or eatery when we hang out because they eat local food all the time and there is no novelty there but my friends were super excited to take me here so I already knew it was going to be great! We got so many dishes that I don't even know the names of. Definitely not a bread and butter place. My friends let me know that this place has food items that represent the different regions of Thailand and we tried a little bit of everything till we couldn't eat anymore. We even got dessert to end things off. I wish I recalled the names of all the dishes but I'm sure I can look up the menu and find out again. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip my tastebuds took and I recommend the same for you!

I like the blueberry Oreo cheesecake! The staff that assists me is good! Thai curry beef is good, but the meat is hard to chew.

I first visited this place as a kid when I was taken here by my aunt in the summer of 1997 and my family and I really enjoyed the food then. Fast forward to my teenage years when I'd come to Bangkok with my friends, I could never find this restaurant because I would say "Tom Kru-eng" to the Taxi drivers and they'd look back at me with a blank stare... Only after about 10 years later did I find this restaurant again when my mum found an old calling card of theirs and gave it to me. I've been coming back here ever since! Everything is so good! They serve all the 'traditional' Thai dishes, and do them really well. As you can see from my pictures, this is what the 4 of us friends ordered, and our orders have hardly changed over the years. That Yellow Crab Curry (my last photo) was the first thing I tried in the restaurant way back in 1997 and I still order it to this day. Thon Krueng is a true nostalgic restaurant that brings back happy memories everytime I visit them.

This restaurant has a very unique menu. The fish is salty, but the taste is good. Many good desserts also.

Attn: Foreign Guests (Groups of Two) 🙏 Please…order 3 dishes (shared) and 2 steamed rice (each). (Note: It’s really annoying for foreigners to order one dish and one rice each, because this is not the traditional Thai way of eating at all. Sharing dishes allows you to enjoy a variety of flavors.) Tom Yum Kung: quite salty. You may want to order a less salty version or ask for lime slices to adjust the flavor. เมี่ยงคำ: remove the dried shrimp for a better taste. For dessert, I highly recommend the coconut ice cream, mango with sticky rice. (Forgot to take photo)

Beautiful restaurant with it's own compound. Parking is easy and free. Classic Thai dishes are the main selling point and it also has very good pastries and cake in display. Overall good flavors at reasonable prices. My personal favorite was the grilled chicken, chocolate cake with ice cream and the steamed fish cake thing. (I think it's called Hor Mok).

I enjoyed the service and the delicious food. The mango sticky rice on that day was not so great as the mango was sour NOT sweet however the menu is to die for. I was taken on a Thai journey. Well done.

Satisfying place for diner as menu is wide, taste quite authentic It is not wheelchair accessible I think as we have to climb the stairs, and haven’t been offered to stay on the 1st floor…

A clean restaurant. The food was oily and bland in spices which made the food experience underwhelming for us. Could be good for travellers new to thai food. The clay pot was something worth trying. Banana leaf chicken was good although a bit oily side. The noodle with minced pork was so so.

Always a delight to get food from here. Like most Bkk restaurants its not near the main rd. The food is what I call traditional Thai. Very Simple but complex in the range of tastes. Always look forward to at least one meal here when visiting Bkk. And we were we were told, to late this time, if you are fairly close, book and we will pick you up and drop you off

Very cozy and delicious dishes, however a bit expensive prices. I will come again.

As my Bangkok friend put it "It's a Thai restaurant for Japanese tastes". That was accurate. This restaurant is situated in a Japanese expat area. Expect more muted flavours and less spiciness overall. Less authentic but a good choice for you if you want to experience Thai food minus the spiciness.

We visited this restaurante during Songran holidays 2021 which was ruined by Covid-19. Staff were all friendly and helpful to make an order. Room temperature was great. Noodles were served hot. As others say, you can find more Japanese customers visit this place and the taste of their dishes were 'mild' if I may say. Love this place, so definitely we will come back.

Hard to go too wrong at this classic Thai institution. Quality here is consistently good and flavours are pretty rounded without being too hot. Some hits and misses. The pandan leaf chicken is excellent but the soft shell crab curry is a too gluggy. Massive menu with with good vegetarian options.

Tonkrueng restaurant it’s a great place where you can enjoy really good thai traditional food. Their dessert are also delicious, especially Coconut icecream.

Thai food at its core, mellowed down on spice for foreigners nicely. Don't miss it

👍 This food court is good... You can get cheapest food as well. Before order the food you have to receive a payment card from their designated *Card booth*. It will be better if you select the food and know the price... And sum all food price. Then go to the designated place to buy card by paying food...

🫤 We were not here because of the review. But now looking at it, we wonder how in the world this place has a high rating. We didn’t find the sunrise we were looking for. It’s not a full-serviced restaurant so we did not expect that quality to be honest. However, what we had tasted more like a ‘subwa...

👍 The rooftop bar is on the 32nd floor, over two floors. There is a food menu, but we had cocktails which were pricey, but good. Free peanut snack on the side. The prices on the menu do not include 10% service fee and 7% tax, which is in small print. The view was great (180°) and the service was frien...
