Mary has a great desire to be invoked by us so that she may dispense her favors to us in greater abundance. So true is this that she is offended not only by those who speak ill of her but also by those who neglect to ask for her graces. St. Bonaventure (1221-1274 A.D.) Prayer: O Mary, you are ready to pour down grace on us if we but ask for it. Help me to come to you in every need, so that I may receive your aid.

St. Bonaventure is a medium-sized church located in Leslie, just south of Lawrence in North York, ON., (Toronto). In addition to the parish community itself, it is also run by the Franciscan friars, priests who are inspired by the works of St. Francis of Assisi. This is my first time here, visiting during the Feast of St. Anthony whose relic is also here during its "tour" and is available for those who need healing and wishing to ask for his intercession. The church itself is open and welcoming; I like the abundance of natural light here. It is noticeably clean, a tribute to the adage "cleanliness is next to Godliness".

Have been here a few times for daily 9:00 am mass and it’s great! Very convenient time, location, accesible, enough parking spaces.

A lovely, welcoming community. Children's Mass at 10 am is followed by coffee and tea social. The church is surrounded by beautiful gardens, so when little ones need to get out, there is somewhere to go! Music is beautiful, and the message is always one of hope, oneness, helping others, ... It inspires one to become better and to love others!

"When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

It's a great church with a very active congregation. It is a bit difficult to get to, but at least there's parking. It's more modern than I'm used to but I got over that quickly.

There is no reason why mass cannot be in the church rather than on that dim and poorly lit stage with dirty curtains. Furthermore, it is with great trepidation that I am disappointed to say many of the glories of mass are missing or misplaced. There is no reason why the consecration of the Eucharist cannot be conducted with the same manner as in regular church and the pouring of water and wine to become the blood of Christ be done in the manner of greatest care. What I have been seeing in the pouring out of a bottle like it were sadly a drink of some sort??? Thank you but I will prefer to watch a mass in these pandemic days that moves my soul and not rush in the manner I am witnessing at St. Bonaventure. Carol Collins
