This is the same location that was on the News because they had a shopping cart full of raw meat! Every time I come here I have a problem. Rotten food and terribly long waits when I come for grocery pick up. Missing items every time. I complained to the Manager, she handed me free Optimum points and BEGGED for me to give them another chance.. well here I find myself in the same situation again. Just save yourself the headaches and STAY AWAY from this one

While the store itself is great - well stocked, well laid out, the biggest ongoing issue I find is how often there are far too few cash registers. The picture included in my review shows people in line for the ONE register that was open on Monday at 4:30pm. There was a total of 12 people waiting in line before another register was opened. This is not unusual for this location and I have sent an email in the past expressing frustration myself and others feel waiting in lines that are sometimes 15 minutes long. I sincerely hope that they can sort out this ongoing issue.

Terrible staffing. Always nobody stationed at the deli section. 9 out of ten staffs at this section are rude af. There's an occassion where I had to wait 15mins after I got told by the pastry staff that someone will be there to help me out. Guess what? Nobody came. Worst super store location i've ever been to. Update: After waiting for 15 more minutes, still nobody showed up. Went to the cash and asked why. Was told they close at 8pm. Fuggin joke!! Put a god dang sign ffs. I swear this location gets worse every time.

This location has got to be the worst. Seems like they only hire biased, incapable and illiterate people. The people asking for spare change on the streets seem more educated than most of their employees including managers. Elena is a flat out biased lady who has zero skills on how to communicate with people of all colors, backgrounds and genders. The female Asian manager Nou who was a clown and knew nothing about costumer satisfaction I guess doing favors for higher ups gets you hired these days. These people should not be employed where they have to deal with humans face to face they need to be working as cleaners or in the back office. Since they have zero common sense and lack ethics and basic manners. I found it strange the man who was standing at the entrance was following us around in most aisles till I said that was ignorant then he had some other people follow us whom I called out as well since it was very rude. They have more secret shoppers than customers and follow you around if you are a person of color. Avoid this location.

I shopped at this store for longer than I can remember, I live close-by. It used to be a great store. Over the years, I watched it decline. It became worse and worse. The frequent stock-outs on lots of food merchandise (not fresh food) means that the reliability of this store is just not there. And then there is the Customer Service. Recently, I wanted to buy something I had not bought before, and after lots of walking through the isles, I thought I would ask a worker where this item might be. He told me, "It's hanging somewhere." The general mess and disorder! Compare to other stores! Does this place have a manager?? How competent is this manager? It's come to the point where I feel that I need to look for another store. I've already pulled my prescriptions from the pharmacy for the way they treated my prescriptions and their open hours. They used to have a drive-by window that's been now discontinued. It's all downhill at this store!!

The only and the biggest problem of this store is Management. They don’t know or don’t care what’s going on this store. I have to wait 15 minutes for checkout every time I visit. Every single time someone arguing because of instacard employees. They delay checkout lanes and they said they don’t have an acces to self checkout. Who is responsible for this? If they have an access to self checkout, the pressure on checkout lanes will be decrease. By the way,I’m curious about why are you guys keep asking how many bags? You will add it at the end of shopping and keep pushing customers about filling bags and leave.Instead of this maybe you can increase staff!!

Huge store, decent layout, lots to offer. I was not disappointed and neither was my daughter who had a selection of toys and clothes to choose from while I grocery shopped. Aisles were free of clutter, employees seemed productive and friendly, lines were not very long and very efficient on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of choice, decent pricing, digital price tags, nice/newer carts. If I lived closer, this would be the only grocery store I’d go to. It checks all the boxes.

Today you moved the bike rack, and bolted it to the ground. Please MOVE it 6 inches away from the building, it is too close and bike wheels are unable to move far enough in to the rack to lock bikes correctly. I tried to talk to a manager, but they did not respond when customer service called for them. It would be great if this could be fixed, as many people need to use their bikes to go grocery shopping, thanks. Other than that, nice clean store

Rude staff. Not all, but some, The Manager must know who they are. They tend to work at Self-checkout. I stopped coming in here completely because the staff is so unwelcoming it's not worth being treated that way just for some groceries. The staff I am talking about are older than 25. One is African, the other is maybe Indian or African? They're always at self checkout. They treat you like trash for even saying "Thank You" to them. No thanks. I'll drop my $300 or whatever a week somewhere else from now on. Whoever is hiring front end staff is doing a terrible job because these veterans haven't been fired yet. A lot of your new staff is nice.

I recently visited the Real Canadian Superstore at Gerry Fitzgerald Drive, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations on multiple fronts. First off, finding parking was a breeze. It's such a relief not to have to circle around endlessly in search of a spot. The ample parking space definitely made my shopping experience much smoother from the get-go. What truly impressed me, though, were the prices. I found some incredible deals on everything from fresh produce to pantry staples. It's refreshing to see a store offering quality products at such competitive rates. But what really stood out to me was the in-store mobile shop with PC Optimum offers. Being able to browse through exclusive deals and discounts right there on my phone while I shopped was a game-changer. It felt like I was getting even more value out of my shopping trip. Overall, the Real Canadian Superstore at Gerry Fitzgerald Drive combines convenience, affordability, and innovation in a way that truly enhances the shopping experience. It's become my go-to spot for groceries and more, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free and budget-friendly shopping destination.

Usually the store is fully stocked, well laid out, the people who brings out stuff and stock the shelves are better than the people who actually faces the customers. They’re a lot nicer, friendlier, willing to help more than the people who works in the cashier and even the management. The cashiers, the CUSTOMER SERVICE people they’re so rude like they hate their job and It gets CRAZIER here when its around 12:30-3:30 because there’s not enough cashiers and the self check out can only do so much. there was an instance where i waited for about 30-45 mins to check out because usually they only have one lane open. That’s not unusual tho. Management should know when it gets busy and when they need extra cashiers to be available.

Good store...just hard to get to with the traffic on all the streets that lead to it. Great deals if you hunt around....94c for ice cream that is $7.29 at Shoppers (2023 expiry for both stores)

Good quality at reasonable prices. Price matching is consistent. Accept online coupons. One of the few grocery stores that take Flashfood seriously (food near best before date, but still looks good and very good discount). Checkout lines moves fast. Never crowded. Easy to find parking. No coins needed for shopping carts.

Went in this week to hopefully exchange a camping chair purchased from this location that broke on the first use!! . Explained my situation to a worker as there was noone at customer service. After about 30 minutes or thus poor girl searching for help as she pages the department, went back into customer service(she found someone) the woman said oh I can't help you, said I had to go to customer service. Extremely rude and again noone was at customer service. I spent another 15 mins waiting for someone to show up only for her to be also snobby and repeat u should have been to customer service first ..... meanwhile 45 mins later and Noone was there ! And she still refused to listen. Absolutely unacceptable, waisted time! Unfriendly staff I will take my money elsewhere. Customer service is not okay at all!!

PC Express service at this location has gone way down hill. I have used this location a number of times and had a wee unmentionable issues. Yesterday was the tipping point. I was scheduled for a time, my order was not ready, went back 2 hours later ,and I had to wait for 20+ minutes only to get home and be missing $28.60 worth of items. So now I have no items and have to wait for a refund. Not a happy customer!

Starting to get sick and tired of this store. It used to be really good. I bought some ground turkey on the Flash Food app and all 8 packages were spoiled. Then when I get told I can’t use the self checkout for as many items as I have, I have to wait in a line of 50 people because they have no one working. The cashiers working also haven’t been trained how to bag groceries properly. I’ve seen items on shelves that are past the expiry date or should be 30% off because they have to be used that day. Even when I use the self check out, rude customers will try and butt in front of others thinking they are more important than everyone else. They don’t have any clear indication of where the line should be. I think I’m going to start going to Coppas down the street.

Everything in this store can be had elsewhere for less. Several competing stores within a few minutes drive in any direction. Horrible redesign of interior store layout. Very prison-like feel as you exit the store behind a plexiglass shield that prevents you from doing anything except leave the store. Even the specials are too much.

Very disappointed in this location lately. I’ve been a regular shopper for the last 4 years and quality of service has really declined. There are certainly some good apples. There’s a very nice gentleman in the meat department, and wonderful woman who works in the health food/organic section, and some fabulous cashiers. However, I’ve had more and more negative experiences in the past few months. Most recently was this past Saturday June 3rd around 2pm. My partner and I were looking to buy a large item from the general merchandise section. We waited and roamed the area for about 20 mins but no staff came through. We ended up walking over to a lovely staff person from a different department to see if she could connect us with the correct person. She called and paged and looked around to know avail, but she gave it a fair shot. Eventually we decided to go to customer service and just ask if we can purchase the item in question and showed the picture/upc. The customer service associate paged the GM manager three times before a call was returned. Without even looking at the item, the GM manger said it was sold out. We found this odd, as this item was newly out on display. We knew there was another similar item we wanted in the same place a few days earlier, but this item replaced it. It was fair to assume that original item likely sold out and then this new item was added for sale. Why put up a new display for something you don’t have? Additionally, the item that we wanted was available for order through PC express from the same location. This was explained to staff and they just shrugged. So, we gave up and ordered online, only to come back 5 hours later to pick up the “sold out ” item and pay the additional service fee. Not only was this a waste of time and money, but we were then unable to build the item in time for its intended purchase (a lunch event the following day). I understand that mistakes happen, especially in what I can only assume is an understaffed store, but this manager demonstrated that she doesn’t respect her customers and doesn’t even pretend to look for an item. She just blows them off; doesn’t give them the time of day. It further validates my decision is choosing longos

Been shopping at this location for 3+ years. Sadly, there aren't many other options in the area if you don't want to drive far. I wish I could shop elsewhere but with PC points offers, price matching and limited choices, I still shop here regularly... The quality of products here has been going downhill horribly during the pandemic. Lucky to have any produce or bakery items (some are previously frozen with no mention) survive a week without going bad. There are usually only a few cashiers open any day so expect to wait in line. Used PC Express on Saturday evening and had a horrible experience. Was charged for items we didn't receive, was given produce that were already bad, expired products, and multiple substitutions (would be nice if the stock were more up to date on the app). We tried calling PC express to get a refund on the charged/bad products and were left on hold for 30 minutes only to have them hang up as soon as the call was live. We've emailed our complaints and are still waiting to receive communication from Superstore to resolve this issue. (Also, what happened to all the smaller grocery carts - haven't been able to find one in a long time???) Will continue to post photos of the products they're selling here re: quality issues

Our go-to grocery store for a one-stop shop. Excellent selection and comfortable parking with nice staff and often times most counters are open. Prices aren't the lowest as you may expect from a Loblaw chain not named No Frills, but if you pick and choose carefully there are reasonable prices to be had. Not bargains mind you, reasonable offers. I do also like that they got a big cooked food section!

I had a delightful shopping experience at Real Canadian Superstore on Gerry Fitzgerald Drive. The store's vast layout and well-organized aisles made it easy to navigate. The selection of products exceeded my expectations, with a diverse range of fresh produce, quality groceries, and household essentials. The friendly and efficient staff added to the positive atmosphere, making my visit enjoyable. The Superstore's commitment to providing great value and a pleasant shopping environment makes it a top choice for my grocery needs.

I always find staff at RCSS - Dufferin & Steeles to be very friendly and helpful. On this past Monday, I experienced more of that. The lovely ladies were able to promptly and professionally fix a complex loose glasses lens issue very quickly, on the spot...thank you VERY much! 🤩🤓

This store is quite large like most other superstore branches. They have a very large selection of all kinds of food fresh, frozen dried or bulk. In addition they have a good selection of small appliances and other kitchen stuff, like, plates, pans, spoons etc. There is a large pharmacy and health products. Next to the pharmacy, there is a dedicated section for beauty products. Prices are higher than no frills, but the quality and customer service is excellent. I really enjoy shopping in this store and very seldom going out without buying something.

The manager Merle, was so helpful with looking for a gift card that was tied to an offer I was hoping to claim before it expired. She was going aisle to aisle with me to find it and she started the process to cash me out with such a patient and friendly demeanor. Then Kasia finished the transaction and was so lovely and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for such amazing customer service.

A large store with a bakery and pharmacy inside, mostly selling groceries, but you can also find dishes, small appliances, books, and more. In the center of the store, there is a clothing and shoe section featuring the brand Joe Fresh. While there are some self-checkout gateways available, the cashier lines are usually crowded.

  • 4/5 Charles W. 6 months ago on Google
Good store for stuff to be in stock. The amount of cashier on duty seems adequate when I was there. Could do better with the checkout area mayhem. It is difficult to navigate around the checkout area especially because the snack shelves really restrict the line up during busy times.

  • 4/5 Jeff P. 7 months ago on Google
It was my favor place for groceries. The prices raised a lot due to inflation. More and more people used price matching app to save which slowed down the checkout a lot. The security door may purpose to anti thefts but it led to unsafe feelings.

I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!! How much is 40% off of $7.00? The math says the cost should be $4.20 not $4.98. Next an item that shows up for $1.38 and they sad that was the sale price should have been 40% off which would make it $.83. When will they learn the rules and the math to do right by the customers? Not rocket science! And by the way, why are you the only superstore that doesn't price match Shopper's Drug Mart? Isn't that your company?

Great place to shop I love the superstore so many items to choose from the only problem is it's too big. I like independent groceries stores however Superstore can't be beat. Except you need better grapes

The produce is OK, not always great quality. Meat prices are not competitive for the quality. Cashing out is a nightmare. Especially when the store is busy. They usually only have a few cashiers open, the line up is long and even at the self check out. They don't want you using self check out if you have a lot of groceries? But they don't have cashiers? Very disappointing.

I am very disappointed with the lack of staff at this location for pc express pick up. Of the last 4 orders I've placed, twice they were under staffed. Last week I received an email notification that my order was ready for pickup, and then as I approached the parking lot, I received a text message saying the order was cancelled. I called them moments later, and found out that all the staff except for one called in sick or just didn't show up for work. Today I needed to pick up my order, and when I showed up and call to tell them my parking spot number and then I was there, I was told they only had one person available again, and that the wait would be at least 30 minutes. I ended up waiting close to an hour. I had six items in my order, and I only received three. I didn't notice until I got home, and they're refunding me for the items I didn't get. But the level of incompetence of this is just astounding. This isn't the first time this has happened. It seems like almost every order there's a problem of some kind. It's very frustrating and irritating - I still end up going in to the store. Having said that, the staff that are there, are nice and friendly. I just wish the staff that they hire were more dedicated to their commitment. If you agree to work for a company, show up for your shift.

The store is clean and spacious, and laid out well. My issue is there has been several times I go to the deli section and no one is working or to be found. Also when I am in need to find something in one of the isles the employees are always hard to find and I end up having to walk back all the way to the front. By the way the evaporated and condensed milk should be in the baking isle not beside cereal boxes. I am a mother of 2 small children and there is not enough accessible parking for mothers with small children.

  • 5/5 Justin G. 3 years ago on Google
Comfortably located, large grocery store. There are many aisles of groceries, drinks (wine and beer), as well as small kitchen appliances, back yard furniture and much more of endless supplies! Prices might be a bit higher than some other store, yet they allow price matching, a great tool for saving on groceries! Due to covid19 the line-ups may take a bit longer. The store is clean and easy to navigate through.

This Real Canadian Superstore includes major brands such as: Wine Rack, and Joe Fresh. The size is grand, which enables more selections in several top categories from pharmacy to clothing. The flyers are well displayed in the front of the entrance, as well as Covid-19 protocol. Signage is equally important in a store of this magnitude, in order to make shopping easier. The outdoor garden is located close to the parking lot, at store front. The flowers were being watered by staff when I arrived. There were several potted plants outside, as well as large bags of top soil. There is a basket pick up option for online/ curb side orders, if you are looking to save time and pre-order. What makes this store a competitive choice is the club pack options and several services such as dry cleaner, pharmacy or warm ready to eat- prepared foods. Larger families would benefit from shopping in bulk at this venue. For those who acquire points with PC Optimum, the flyer is the best place to help plan your shopping experience.

Superstores usually deliver consistently well when it comes to grocery shopping experiences, and this one is good even on top of that. Very large store with everything you might possibly need, including clothes, drugstore, and small appliances. Decent selection of ethnic food given the fact that it's not an ethnic grocer. Drugstore even has a pretty big ethnic hair care section. Always clean and well organized. Sale items are almost never out of stock here. Prices are not very cheap, but they're not bad either.

This Review is about the PC Express Pick-Up service at this location. I had bad experiences more than once before I wrote this review. 1. there was an instance where the online order pick-up was not ready and no one called me to inform about the delay until I reached there and checked in and even had to wait to call them up to be informed that my order is not ready for pickup. This forced me to waste some time on a busy weekend morning. 2. the most recent incident - the process was going as usual - i got email notification saying my online order is ready for pickup. I arrived at the spot and checked in using email check-in, about 5 mins earlier than my pick-up window time. There was only one customer in front of me who was being served at that time. However, to surprise me, no one came out in next 30 mins with my order. I called the number after waiting about 30 mins and they said they will have it out asap. I waited another 20 mins and no one came out yet. Meanwhile, three other customers who arrived "after" me, were being served!! I talked to one of the delivery guys and informed him about my situation. Yet no one came out with my order in next 15 mins. I called the number the second time after another 15 mins and then they said again, someone will be out soon and finally someone came in with my order! In total, I spent 1 hour and 10 mins at the parking lot, waiting for an order which contained only 12 items!!! my entire eveningwas wasted and I had to reschedule some of my other planned activities! I'm likely not going to use the online order pick-up service again from this location and will continue to use the same of Walmart, which has been very efficient at this type of service so far. Suggestion for the store - please make sure your pick-up service is well staffed and well managed, else you will keep losing customers like me.

Don’t use the coin star at this location. It broke, took like $20 of my change and then the supervisor told me there was nothing he could do and I was out the money. It’s not a lot of money but I was disappointed by how quickly the supervisor was willing to give up and move on.

Half empty containers and 30% off. You could put all in one box instead. BUT!!!!

Great store. They have everything you could need and more. The staff is top notch. I'm a big fan of their online ordering, a super easy process. I highly recommend shopping here!

While I was packing up my items at the self-checkout, another customer came right up beside me and started checking out her items. She startled me and I snapped that she should have waited until I was finished. She said that the staff person attending to the self-checkout area told her to go ahead. This is unacceptable. I do not want someone in my space while I haven't finished packing and left the area. It is especially not acceptable during the times of Covid, nor should it be acceptable at any time. I think most customers wait until the person is finished and I think the only reason this person came to the area I was checking out of was because the Superstore person told her to. Some stores are still wiping down the self-checkout before the next customer even approaches. I will be patronizing those stores who respect their customers enough not to have this type of behaviour directed by their own employees.

Great (and huge) selection! I don't go too often because it isn't as convenient to get to as some other options, but they have at least one food item that I haven't seen anywhere else... so I'll definitely be going back now and again!

Clean and organized store. Going there every weekend. Always stock up. If you want to buy clothes please go before 6pm because the changing room is closed after that. I wish i can give 5 star but the reason and the thing which always disappointing me is that staff always ignore customers and we can’t ask the item place because they always said “Sorry I don’t know “. Overall good but you have to find everything by self and if you couldn’t find it means you will not get it.

Love the location and selection, and self checkout too. The only problem is I received a manufacturer's couple and had to wait in line. The cashier is really really really really really slow, literally taking more than 5-8 second to scan each item... I don't understand why this company prefers hiring who are under qualified. Because they are easier to manage?

terrible store. Today, like many before - there were absolutely no plastic bags in most of the produce aisles. And when I asked an employee for assistance he just shrugged his shoulders with indifference. This store is packed most of the time, I often find expired meat or perishables mixed in with fresh items. There are never enough checkout lanes open and thus extend down the aisles. I also agree with another reviewer that the deli counters are often not staffed. Employees are mostly apathetic and in some cases rude (although a gem of a lady works the salad counter). Management is no where to be found. Another doozie is that today (9 Aug) at 11:18am, their landscaper blew rocks, grass and debris all over my parked car, which also had flyers stuffed on it (on dashcam). The finale to another miserable shopping experience here. Avoid this store.

I would have given this superstore a 4.5☆ rating If they actually had Cashiers. You can buy pretty well anything here... It's another story when you try to pay for it. On a similar theme, the self-checkout, doesn't accept cash🤯. Isn't that the point of a business to take your money?... I was in there at approximately 8 PM and there was only one cash open. There was probably 8 people with full carts of groceries chaotically looking for some kind of organization in their lineup.. to give their money to somebody.. anybody. After 10 minutes waiting in line like an obedient little Customer, one lady with her daughter and son-in-law came up from way behind me with a full cart and basically went up to the only cash person working, asking is there only 1 cash open😡 ... At which case someone immediately jumped on a cash and she surpassed everybody, else in the line-up that had been waiting. The Cashier said nothing. So I went to the Clothing department cause I had clothing also. They were closing... Then I went to Customer Service and tried to get a ahold of the Store Manage good luck🍀... While I was waiting For another 10 plus minutes, with melting ice cream and a tired granddaughter, another lady from Customer Service jumped on to cash. I was livid😤. Finally when I explained my absolute frustration, did the young Asian lady (with colored hair)remaining at Customer Service cashed me out. 15 minutes on hold still waiting for the store manager to pick up my call.

Make sure you check the prices when you check out!! They have had expired sale signs up on the shelves and don’t honour them at time of purchase. Update: Impressed that I got a response and called the Customer Relations number! Hopefully this will ensure that advertised prices/signs will be honoured at check out. 👍🏻Changed from 1 star to 4 stars.

The store is well stocked with large selection. But could have better fruits and vegetables section a lot of times you have on display what is left over! Counter staff are very quick to refuse to match prices with magnifying glass!

😠 DO NOT DO A GROCERY PICK UP HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE ROTTEN AND MOLDY FRUIT AND VEGETABLES. Every time I do a PC Express grocery pick up, I have to throw most of the produce out. Every time this happens, I tell myself it's the last time I will shop there but this past time, I mean it. I will never pi...
