Over priced for steak that wasn't cooked to what was asked for. The man behind the bar was rude when I asked if I could get another beer for the table and was told I have to wait for the waitress to be sent to take the same order. Also took 50 minutes to get garlic bread and meatballs to the table when the restaurant was half full. I don't recommend at all.

Wanted to try Kangaroo meat for the first time and decided for Outback Jacks as it's more laid back and less formal. The ambiance was great and service, excellent, couldn't ask for more. The Kangaroo steak tasted somewhat like a milder version of beef, a little peculiar at the first bite but then quickly acquired. The jalapeno poppers were so fun to eat and they pack a nice spicy punch. Will come back to try Emu and Camel in future.

Child friendly restaurant and the staff Nini was just so attentive and offered colouring for our 2 boys. Our food came fast and easy tasty! Just perfect for us to recharge before heading to Perth Zoo

Had the smallest cut of steak, i was extreme disappointed in that, it litrally took 3 slices and the steak was gone. it was smaller then the palm of my hand, as my hand was the tiniest on the table. i had to order another plate of steak only because they wouldnt serve me another steak and had to pay for another whole new meal in order to get the expectation cut of steak. .90$ for 2 steaks.... definitely wont be returning back to this place. couldve atleast made that small steak mouth watering. dont recommend ordering steak from here, anything else maybe tho

Ordered two steak meals with drinks. Drinks were nice, staffs were very friendly, but the steaks were pretty pricey so we had some expectations. It was our first time here, Ordered as medium rare, but one of them came out as overcooked. Had to ask for another one, waited 10mins or so, got new one but the taste was awful. It mentions on the menu as “certified wagyu porterhouse” but the meat was dry, very low quality, and it was very hard to chew. Tried one bite, just spitted out on the tissue. Cuz I could not CHEW on it. Tasted like dry rubber. Cheap woolworths beef would taste much better than this. Tried many wagyu beefs before, but none tasted like this, so it is very hard to believe that’s actually “wagyu”. If you need to use low quality beef, you need to lower your price down.

Improved a lot since its downfall a couple years ago or more - when we visited our kids really enjoyed their meal and we did too. Its great to see staff were very kind to help us choosing and they were super friendly too. Definitely will be going back again - I suppose outback jacks needs a bit improvement in the interior side of things but overall a great dining experience.

Half a rack of ribs set me back $42 which wasn't a good start.. The chips were cold and chewy I usually wouldn't complain, but the taste reminded me of dog food. I ended up getting the $11 ribs from Woolies, THOSE were great, don't go here. So overpriced, so average.

Came in a little after 19:00. Not too busy. Was seated by a very nice waitress. When asking about the grade quality of their wagyu, the waitress asked the chef, who basically had no idea about meat grades....red flag already.... so I decided to try the exotic animal meat platter then the burger as I didn't trust the wagyu. If a chef isn't knowledgeable about that, what else does he not know? So I went for safe options. The platter itself was OK.....some meat was good, some wasn't, not the chefs fault, just the meat quality. The actual taste was meh, no seasoning at all. I get there is salt and pepper on the tables, but you should always season food when cooking. Anyway, it was OK. The burger, like the platter was bland. Tropical burger that didn't taste tropical at all. Was a good experience for a westerner to try the crocodile amd kangaroo ect....but I won't be coming back. The decor was a miss mash, not sure exactly what was going on with the upside down crocodile. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly and attentative. Unfortunately, every time they came over to ask if everything was OK, I was either taking a bite or just had a bite of food. Restaurant 6/10 Food 4/10 Service 9/10 Price 7/10 (rather cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for)

Went twice on my trip to Perth . 1st I have the emu and 2nd the kangaroo. To be honest the emu is a bit hard to chew . For the kangaroo it cook to the perfection.Price is reasonable and it definitely worth a visit .

A restaurant for kangaroo and crocodile dishes. I ordered a fish dish while my friend ordered the kangaroo dish witch he liked so much . I couldn’t check since it’s not Halal. The stuff there were very friendly and know how to make you visit again. It’s nice place.

I have had the Jack's Rib Medley that came with pork, lamb and beef ribs. I asked for the mashed potato and onion rings rather than the usual beans and slaw for sides. To wash it all down, I ordered the Leederville Draught. After 30 minutes, my food came and it was huge! I have had started with pork ribs and then to lamb ribs. The pork ribs was really juicy and tender. The lamb ribs however were on the tougher side. The beef was whole new level. Not sure which cow the chef had pulled the ribs from, that cow must have been gigantic! It was tender and juicy. I could not finish the meal as it was too big. Had to pack the remaining food. I did try the mash potato. It was a little dry and bland. The onion rings were just alright. The staff were really welcoming, polite and helpful. The 30 minute wait may be long, but it was worth it. Highly recommended if you are a meat lover.

Staff are friendly and helpful, however don't bother with their expensive Wagyu steak. They mention it's a high marble score, however it is not, it's a cheaper cut sold at a premium. I asked for it to be cooked medium-rare so you would assume that it would still have some pink inside, but the chef overcooked it (it was bordering on well done, no pink at all) and that combined with the cheap cut meant it was a terrible steak in general. A shame considering the price of it and my expectations of a delicious steak. Good beers on tap and a saloon feel to the place make it worth having a look at, along with a very Aussie meat style menu. Just be sure that the meat you order is cooked to your liking, or send it back. Which I unfortunately did not do.

Food was quite good, beef steak slightly pricy. Kangaroo steak very chewy. Service is a bit slow at first if you go early there’s only 1 waitress. Bit better later on in the night. Cute area for the kids to play!

Brilliant pork ribs! The marinate was great! One of the pieces was slightly charred but still tasted great! At least they bothered to heat up the ribs before serving. Loved giant crocodile hanging from the roof

Ordered the chicken wings and we shared a full rack of pork ribs between 2 - delicious!! Kids both loved their meals as well. We'll be back for the food and impressive service .

Awesome customer service! Delicious spearmint milkshakes and the scotch fillet steak was fantastic! Pricing is pretty similar to other steak serving places but it had the chips and a good sized garden salad which some places I’ve been to don’t include. Would definitely come back!!

The best pork ribs in town absolutely in love with the pork ribs really succulent and juicy with yummy sauce. I and my hubby shared full rack and was enough for us to enjoy to the fullest. We love the service here as well. It's always very good place to go for heartly meal. My husband love the rib eye steak as well. They cooked them exactly how he likes which shows that this place really cares about customer. Will visit again soon guys good job

I highly recommend outback jack. So far I’ve tried steak, Kangaroo and crocodile. The steak experience was excellent, it is juicy tender and goes great with mushrooms sauce. Kangaroo (medium rare with Diana sauce)-also a great combination highly recommend and if you feel daring, try crocodile the meat is white tender goes great with garlic sauce. 5 STAR 🤩

I am only leaving a 4 🌟 review for the cocktails and bar staff - in particular Gareth and Harry (I think that was his name). If I were to review on the food and waitstaff alone it would have been a 2 🌟 at most. We were a party of 8 eating out after presenting a conference all day and from the time we sat down, we unfortunately had issues. The restaurant wasn't busy considering the time of night we were booked and it being a Saturday. We had to flag waitstaff down to take our orders, and even though 2 of our party specified that their entrees were to come out with everyone's mains they both came out as entrees and then our cheesey bacon garlic bread that was ordered and specified as our entree came out after all of the mains arrived and it took us asking 3 times for it before it even came out. When the food did eventually come out, the quality varied. Food was cold, flavourless and our galic bread looked like it was thrown together in a rush - clumps of bacon and barely melted cheese and part of one person's order was cancelled due to having to wait so long. Ot was difficult to flag waitstaff down to discuss any of this and when we did manage, the blame was put onto the kitchen. The table next to us arrived well after us and not only was their orders taken quickly, all of their food came out before ours without issue. On top of this, our table was not cleared leaving glasses and plates to pile up and in the end we moved most of our plates to a vacant table so we had more room. Cocktails were the only good thing. French Martini, Grey French Martini and the Toffee Apple Martini were amazing.

We had hoped that even a place that clearly catered to tourists would have a decent steak in a place that raises so much beef, but every single piece of meat we had here was dry and full of both sadness and gristle. The person who waited on us seemed to have never served a table before and had to return a couple of times for items being out of stock (but he wasn't already aware).

Gee this place is rough as hessian undies. Vinyl seats in booths are torn and well overdue for replacement. Ordered a medium rump that came out well done but tasted great. Loved the way overpriced $9 Neptune topper that was bearnaise sauce that came with the 2 tasteless prawns and thin slice of avocado. Chips tasted like old oil. The ribs were so-so cooked and lacking sauce, making it a bit dry. You'll find better in a box from a supermarket

Went for their lunch special $15 steak and chips, a really good deal especially in Northbridge. Do expect the steak will taste like the price. The hot chips and salad was great tho. The staff member was nice. Maybe the location is too far from the office area? didn’t see many customers there (weekday lunchtime). I think they have other lunch specials. The steak deal seem nice for young schooler couples to have a adult-like date tho.

The true Aussie experience. Ordered the kangaroo and emu; both are lean cuts, with the kangaroo akin to a fillet steak and the emu tasting closest to ostrich, with the texture of roasted pork neck.

Such a disappointing experience from start to finish. We used to love coming to OBJ's - we had never ever had a bad experience until tonight. After being seated at our booth, we waited 20+ minutes to place even a drinks order (and only got served after one of us physically walked up to a waitress to ask if we could be served). It was 6pm and the restaurant was not heaving with patrons. Our entree came out cold (jalapeno poppers) with the cream cheese rock hard in the middle. Upon pointing this out to the waitress, our entree was quickly replaced with a hot version, which we greatly appreciated. When our mains came out, both our steaks, although cooked to our preferred liking, were cold and full of gristle. The garlic butter sauce was melted butter, the peppercorn sauce was essentially the equivalent of eating butter with some pepper in it and the surf and turf was cold with a huge piece of fish riddled with bones. Both our mains were bland and extremely unappealing to eat. To top things off, the air-conditioning above us was dripping water directly on to my partners plate, by which point both of us felt physically sick from how inedible our meals were, the aircon water was the icing on a very revolting cake. We've since noticed in the Google reviews that a customer complained of dripping aircon water on to their own table approximately 10 months ago, so we are unsure if this is as new an issue as was made out to be tonight. To the credit of the floor manager, she was incredibly apologetic and offered to not charge us for the meals we had been unable to eat. This we appreciated very much. Sadly though, this is not a restaurant we will ever return to again.

I had chilli prawns to start & they was really beautiful but small about half dozen medium sized prawns , for a main I had the 400G rib-eye on the bone with sweet potato fries & mushroom sauce it was another level I haven't got enough stars to give it what it deserves & I had a pecan chocolate pie with icecream for afters that was a lovely pie as well.

I am very very pleased with the service and quality of food at outback jacks, they are always helpful and the food was delicious. I ordered a tropical chicken burger which came about 15 minutes after ordering which wasn't much of a wait at all. The lady that served us Jennifer was extremely nice and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a great quality American style restaurant!!! Always like coming to Outback Jack's. The service was very fast and friendly. Lots of tables here so plenty of space. Wide variety of dishes available. We tried the Breast is Best chicken and the Spare Pork Ribs. Both dishes were generous in portion size and tasted great. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in Northbridge.

I took a large group of people here for a lunch-time birthday party. The food was great, the service was better and I was very happy with the bill at the end. The lunch time menu was excellent, with great prices for the slightly smaller lunch time serves. I can't fault anything, and I will certainly be looking for an excuse to drop back in again. Aged from 5 to 85, everyone was looked after and left with a smile. With multiple requests from different people with special requirements, nothing was too much trouble. The food was prepared and cooked as requested, food allergies were catered for, even a Vegan amongst the group left the steak house complementing the food. I am sure he would have liked it even more if he had the pork ribs like I did, but we'll never know. Great job, very happy.

Awesome staff and awesome place. Really cozy place. Nothing is wrong about this place. Its just so perfect and will def come back. And your male waitress cant remember his name was doing his awesome job. Always make sure our table orders are fulfilled and everything is alright. He is awesome and the rest of the waitresses are awdsome too. But he is so outstanding.

It’s been years since we went to one of these chains. Thought we’d give it a try again. Arrived around 630 before a FringeWorld show it’s a large restaurant and wasn’t busy. Service was good staff were attentive. Noticed the prices were on par with some of Perth’s premium steaks so expectations were high. Unfortunately both steaks under delivered the medium-rare was cooked medium-well and the medium was medium-rare / rare. The fillet was tiny, considering its price should have been either better quality or more substantial. The chips were tasty and its a bit of a worry that ended up being the highlight of our meal. At least the staff were friendly and checked in to see if things were ok, they offered some free drinks/desert. Your mileage may vary! I think if these guys want to be more attractive to the average Aussie they appear to target they probably need to to drop their price or raise their quality. For a similar price one can get a premium steak at somewhere like Chez Pierre or Meat and Wine co cooked to perfection. Something to think about for the owners.

Things started well with being seated quickly and being offered colouring in for the kids, however things went downhill from there. We waited a long time to be asked for our orders, had to stop one of the waitstaff on her way past to ask to order - to which we were told "I'll be back in two secs". The wait time for the food wasn't too bad, but the main meals were average (the salad dressing had made its way over my whole plate of chicken parmigana and chips) and the beef salad was very light on the beef and heavy on the salad. The kids meals were too small for our 5 and 3 year old who were asking for more food afterwards. The toilets weren't clean and the floor around our table was very sticky. Yes, a busy night in Northbridge, however, not a place I would recommend.

Run down old place with food all over floor. Steak and ribs were tasty. Jacket potato was bland. Staff were attentive. Price is reasonable. No signs about surcharge with credit cards. Forced to pay more after transaction went through. At least have a sign up if you want to add a surcharge for particular cards.
