I have visited Water's Edge on numerous occasions, and I must say that overall, I have been quite satisfied with my experiences there. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a kind and friendly staff who always go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant visit. One of the standout qualities of Water's Edge is its excellent value for money. The prices are reasonable, and you truly get great bang for your buck. You can enjoy a delicious meal or a refreshing beverage without breaking the bank. However, I must admit that the overall quality of the place does have room for improvement. While the service and ambiance are fantastic, there are areas where the establishment falls a bit short. The food, although tasty, could benefit from a more refined touch and attention to detail. Similarly, some aspects of the venue could use a bit of sprucing up to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal. That being said, the aforementioned drawbacks should not deter anyone from visiting Water's Edge. The positives of this establishment far outweigh the negatives. It is a lovely place to spend time with friends or enjoy a peaceful moment alone. The scenic view of the water adds an extra dimension of tranquility, making it a great spot to unwind and relax. In conclusion, while there is room for improvement in terms of quality, I would still highly recommend Water's Edge. The friendly staff, affordable prices, and overall welcoming atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit. I have no doubt that with a few tweaks, it could become even more exceptional.

Andy, Tori and Kyle run a very good establishment here, very laid back and friendly atmosphere. Made very welcome and staff friendly and attentive. Very good value for money and the food was delicious. The pub is set next to the canal, so gives you someplace to walk your dinner off! Thanks to the guys here, you do a great job and no doubt will visit again soon.

Really poor service. Starters came out and no cutlery or napkins offered. Waited over an hour for our mains to arrive and it wasn't even busy. Burger was cold, lasagne overcooked and again had to ask for cutlery. Normally find Hungry Horse chain to be really good but this was a bad experience and wouldn't recommend at all.

The crispy chicken and katsu curry was really disappointing it was just a schnitzel with a brown coloured chip shop curry. They also ran out of plain rice and was offered other solutions however non of these were actually healthy. Though the interior is pretty the food is just an overpriced Birdseye meal.

Lovely location with plenty of outdoor seating. Only stopped for a coffee on a Sunday morning. The place was empty. I imagine it would be very appealing on a sunny weekend evening.

Honestly, with the food you get what you paid for. Which is actually pretty good. The portions are large and the food tastes good, there are deals on everyday for meals so overall that was decent. The staff here were very friendly, giving me very local vibes, and the ordering/getting food but was easy. The store itself is tidy and clean and the atmosphere is more on the family friendly side.

Went for lunch Sunday 12pm. It's been a few years since we've been to this pub but the standards have dropped significantly. Signs of old leaks on the ceiling that haven't been repaired, wallpaper peeling off in the corner, sauce residue up the wall, faux leather bench seating and chairs worn out, could do with a full refit really but that doesn't excuse the state of the bathrooms. Looking at the images you can presume that the bathrooms haven't been checked from 7pm Saturday night until 12.30pm Sunday, the smell was not pleasant and there's a lot of mould build up under the hand dryers. We ordered using the app, when drinks where bought over we weren't offered or asked for a glass for a bottled drink. The glass of coke was filthy. Food came with no cutlery/napkins. When asked for cutlery we were told it was over there, after looking, not finding and asking at the bar I grabbed the cutlery which also looked dirty, there were no napkins to pick up. The food was disappointing, small portion for the kids, Baguette with "salad" which was a joke even for Β£4.50. Clearly we won't be returning to this location. Much better at the Wollaton one.

Went here for a late lunch. Had a grilled haloumi salad which had nice crisp lettuce, some sliced cucumber and a few tomato quarters,a nice dressing that didn't drown the salad. Way too much red onion unfortunately. My partner had a bacon burger but the bun was a bit dry. The accompanying fries were hot and crisp. Prices were very reasonable. The menu was quite extensive with some good daily specials. We would go back again to try something different. Nice location next to the canal. I should imagine it would be busy on a nice day(it was raining the day went).

Been here a couple of times for a drink as it’s walking distance from my place, always been nice enough, sitting by the canal for an hour or two. Noticed there was EV chargers in the carpark so came down when the carpark was quiet to charge my car as I’ve not got that facility at home and walk home before returning to collect it. Just been hit with a Β£100 fine, even worse knowing another one will be coming soon as I’ve been there twice. Just a reminder warning to others that may think about doing the same. Not sure I’ll be back for any reason now.

Haven't been in years. Completely different experience. Friendly staff. Foods better than ever. Manager clearly managers his team well. They all seemed happy in general and was an enjoyable experience. Will be going again soon. πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

We had Christmas dinner for 4 adults and 1 child and it was great. Our table had been decorated and looked lovely. The food was good and there was plenty of it. However the best thing was the staff who were fantastic. They truly made it into a lovely experience. Thanks to all of you.

Definitely my favourite pub! It's gorgeous, lovely cosy atmosphere and has a great outdoor area overlooking the canal. It's so nice getting to see the canal boats coming in and out. Surprisingly incredible food too, good prices and big portions! I always end up caving and feeding the geese though, sorry. πŸ‘€

Great prices on food and drinks the offers on drinks are amazing. The food was delicious we shared the ultimate share platter which was a lot to feed three people. Then I had the sliders which was a mistake after the huge share platter but the sliders were phenomenal I love burgers and they were some tasty burgers you get two cheese burgers two bacon cheese burgers and two chicken burgers with so many fries I had three sliders and in all honesty I wanted someone to roll me to the car. Great canal views friendly staff great prices everything bigger it's a genuine must go too. We definitely will be back

Strange set up, having to queue for a drink when the half a dozen people in front of you have menus in their hands, there was only one barman serving all night a young lad with glasses Elliott, he was brilliant. He is a proper bar person, he sees everyone as they approach the bar and remmbers their place in the queue, that is a professional at work, what asset to the company goes above and beyond. The food i had ribs were nice, need to get more staff or organised. P.s i hope you never need the wc, disgusting obviously never checked. shame,!

Highly recommend this pub/restaurant. Great atmosphere! clean and tidy too. Food is really nice and was served really quickly. You can sit outside and enjoy the canal boats passing you by. Child friendly and free parking. 10/10 my favourite place to eat and unwind 😊

Haven't been here for a while due to bad experiences. Been back twice now, it was lovely to see Tori behind the bar, and we had the burger deal it was lovely and hot thankyou chef. Tori was being her usual self making sure areas were clean and tiding up, we will definitely be coming back, It is nice to see the pub picking up again, see you soon Tori keep up the good work.

After visiting and having a meal I won't be in a rush to go back the food was alright It was a bit of a wait but I'm guessing that's down due to short staff, but the staff that we met were really friendly although you could see they were exhausted. The table was clean to a point you could see where the last people who used the table put their drinks, and the menus had sours in them and were stained with god knows what.

Odered drinks on the app. Waited an hour until I went to the bar to query these drinks after I did mention to the servers bringing food to the table on a couple of occasions. Finally got them after waiting at the bat for them. One member of the party finally got their meal (which was the same as others on the table) at the end of us all eating. The staff were apologetic and thoughtful... I get it... I have been there myself a number of times. Seems like they were understaffed. Or management just laid caution to the wind and let them fight the rush alone? The staff were off their feet and could not keep up. Service was no problem. Friendly as ever with the cards they were dealt. I just would have hoped for better provisions considering it was fathers day...

Love this place as much as my kids do. Food is always great, service is always fantastic and mistakes always rectified instantly, which is good to see.. most chain pubs usually just try to pass you off but these always try their best to resolve anything. Kids love it here the outside play area and the games and arcade machines, in summer it's always great sitting in the garden by the river and watch the boats pass by.. this will always be a place I remember sharing family time with my children and with my friends too πŸ’—

Average pub with average food. Nothing amazing. Few mix ups. Nice view outside. Toilets weren't very clean. Didn't seem to have many staff members so took a while at the bar. Menus were covered in what looked like chocolate cake. (All of them we picked up from our table.)

It was quiet when we visited on a Monday lunchtime. The staff were lovely and the food was good value. A nice setting at the side of the waterway. Would recommend for a very reasonably priced meal. Drinks are also very good value

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Absolutely amazing! I went to have lunch on my graduation day with my friends. Food was very flavourful and cocktails were nice. Special dietary options are available and you always get 2-4-1 cocktails. Service was really friendly and approachable. Ambience and music is just cherry on top.
