Haven't been for quite some while. Can honestly say the Steaks I had were as good as I've had anywhere. Good Stuff!

We have been eating at the Griff for over 30 years. We have always loved the food there. Always had great service from an efficient team and today was no exception. We were served by Ellis, a very competent waiter. The Griff has definitely begun to shine again after the trials of lockdown. Still our favourite!

Typical Beefeater, food ok, great service, reasonable price. Can get busy at times but service remains great.

Nothing was too much trouble. As a gluten and dairy free individual it can be very challenging to eat out, never mind to feel really confident that what I am eating isn't going to make me suffer. The wonderful waitress, Clare , checked and double checked making sure that everything was good. Vegan products substituted to make dairy free all done without fuss or bother. She was great with my daughter and ensured she checked in on us before her shift finished before we had left. A wonderful first time back experience at dining after covid.

I had not been here for a meal for many years and will not be returning again. The service was extremely slow and when the meals finally arrived they were barely warm, the meat was 75% fat, and the vegetables left a lot to be desired. Please think twice before going.

The whole place - dirty. Tables were empty and dirty. It didn't look extremely busy, but I get that maybe they had a big rush that just left or something... We had a reservation, asked if we can sit outside and that was not a problem. Cleared our own table. Ordered at the bar, staff was okay, but nobody seemed to rush or anything. I was stood for 20 minutes in the queue to order and nobody seemed to be bothered. Food arrived after 45 minutes. I was starving at this point. My husband had grill combo- looked dry, was cold and not very tasty, but edible I guess. I had chargrilled prawns... cold, pieces of rubber, tasteless prawns- not possible to eat, horrible. Side grilled veg - the smallest portion ever and looked very dry and sad. Plan was to also have a dessert, but no that pland changed as soon as I tasted my prawns. Overall, never again! If issues with staff and cant cope then don't take that many bookings! Place needs sorting out.

New year meal. Manager and staff were well organised. Our waitress was Natasha her service was fabulous. The food was perfect. Thankyou for a wonderful night. My husband had a meal deal. And I had free meal which was sent to me 1st December 2022 My husband had mixed grill cooked to perfection. And that good from retired butcher.

Very busy morning as it was a Bank Holiday. But staff were friendly, welcoming and the cooked breakfast in particular exceeded expectations. Natasha - one of the waiting staff, in particular had a lovely way with customers. In particular, when there were two children being served hot food when their parents were away from the table. She was extremely nurturing and natural with them, whilst informing that the plates were hot and to be careful of them. An all round lovely experience.

We came for Sunday lunch and had the ultimate Sunday lunch which includes all three meats, chicken, beef and lamb. The meats were delicious and of a high quality and, so were the steaks. The staff were super attentive and very friendly. We will definitely be returning and recommending the Griff House.

I've been here a few times, and the food has always been very good. The portion sizes are reasonable and of good quality. The service can be a little slow, but thats because they could do with more people on duty. The staff are lovely and try their best to compensate for the lack of people on shift. The prices are average for this type of establishment.

Went for a family breakfast. Waited around 10-15 mins before we even got acknowledged by any staff members. After we finally got seated we found the continental breakfast and drinks were almost empty and not being refilled. No bowls for cereal and and barely any plates for toast ect. Asked two staff members for bowls and took 10 mins plus to get one. After finishing our continental breakfast we waited 20mins and no staff took our order for the all you can eat English breakfast. Again had to ask someone to come and take the order. The whole place was very disorganised and staff didn't seem to know who was doing what. Paying the bill at the end of the meal was again challenging as no staff could be found to take the money. (could have walked out and I don't think anyone would have noticed!) Overall a very poor experience I have been to other beefeater all you can eat restaurants, and they far exceeded any expectations. Roman way, Newark, top marks!

We had a 19.15 booking and it was nice and quiet when we arrived. Service was extremely slow, took around 15 mins to get a drink, 45 mins for food and about 30mins or an ice cream pudding!! Food was expensive for the quality we received. Spoke to the manager, in regards to the service & although he did apologise it wasn't sincere & couldn't really see where we were coming from, just said 'please email head office!!!! We won't be returning in a hurry!!!!!

Our waitress for the evening, a young lady called Jade was absolutely outstanding. There was an issue with my wife's meal which she sorted out in a friendly and understanding manner. Jade was extremely helpful and is a credit to your company. Thank you Jade for all of your help.

Stayed at the adjoining premier Inn for 2 nights, so used the restaurant. Breakfast is the usual great breakfast you get and plenty of choice. My first evening meal was the Xmas turkey dinner and it was a bit of a let down. Parsnips were not fully cooked, pig in blankets was burnt and not all of my roast potatoes were fully cooked. Dessert was the tower of profiteroles and we're delicious. 2nd day meal was the double burger and was lovely. I had the after 8 mint sundae and this was also lovely, couple of the water 8s were frozen, due to being in ice cream, but no big deal.

the service in this place is exemplary. there was an issue with my meal which was resolved by Jade who could not do enough to help. Jade deserves a pay rise for her warmth and professionalism in dealing with our issue to the most satisfactory outcome. Well done Jade you are a credit to them and I hope this review helps them to see this.

Visited the Griff today and had a great afternoon. Despite the restaurant being busy we were looked after efficiently, our Sunday lunch was excellent and was also good value for money. Good potions with everything fresh and served piping hot, extra gravy is a must!. Lots of parking too which is certainly a bonus. The place has a good vibe about it which much be contributed to the staff that seemed happy and extremely helpful, we can be pretty fussy with certain aspects with out food but all of our needs were met. The staff deserve the all plaudits, from the kitchen to front of house, thank you to Ellis who oversaw our table, polite, friendly with nothing too much trouble. We will certainly return.

Had a pleasant meal. Prices were very good (50% off mains deal). Staff friendly and helpful. Food was decent quality, even the steaks.

Booked for a table of 8 last minute on a Sunday afternoon. Waitress and front of house were very attentive. Our table wasn't quite ready as we were slightly early so we were shown to the bar and collected promptly when it was. Food order taken and arrived very quickly with added extras of roast potatoes gravy and Yorkshire puddings. Only picky comment was it could have been a little warmer but apart from that good quality food and perfect service.

It's a good restaurant with a variety of meat options! Specially the BBQ dishes are quite juicy. As a guest in the hotel I enjoyed both the breakfast and the dinners! Pretty much everything on the menu is as described and the portions are quite big. Has a big garden and the staff is superb! Very friendly and caring. Special thanks to Pauline, Sarah, Matt and Marios. Definitely give it a shot If you're around (:

rock hard massivley overcooked breaded mushrooms, a chef shouldnt even conesider sending them, the steak, three people sent food back whilst i was there, i had a T Bone £25, the whole thing was no bigger than my hand, a proper T Bones should be too big for your plate, three times cooked chips, try them twice and they would not be overdone, not good at all which is a shame as the service was fine

Great staff. Nice enough breakfast.A fair price. Gloomy surroundings. Probably wouldn't re visit.

A nice place. The service is good, albeit sometimes inattentive. The food was decent, as long as you're just looking for pub grub and not a michelin star meal. I enjoyed my burger (although more green stuff would have been nice), the salmon and risotto was REALLY good, but the lobster tail you can add to the steak was disappointingly small. All good for the price though. Staff are eager to please and were quick to fix any issues we had with the food. I'd go back there (and will!) just remember it's a Beefeater, and adjust your expectations accordingly.

Lovely father's day treat for my husband. Very friendly staff and great quality food prepared to perfection. All table service due to current restrictions. However, this did not affect our experience or the quantity of breakfast you could have. You are doing a great job "Griff House Beefeater". Thank you.

We took our daughter and 2 friends here after a game of bowling for her 16th birthday. The staff gave us a warm welcome and our waitress was lovely. They even gave my daughter a birthday card and a bar of choc which was a really lovely touch. The food was delicious

It's a Beefeater and they're all pretty much the same... The food is fantastic, and here because of the trees you have no idea you are right on one of the busiest roundabouts in Nuneaton. The staff are lovely, the food is served pretty quickly, and really it's hard to find a fault... But find a fault I did, as did my Son who I took as he loves the chicken they do there... The seats were appalling. They were so hard that after an hour and a bit we both had totally numb arses... Genuinely, when you're seated check to see if you get one of the fancy-looking seats with the low sides give it a rap with your knuckles. You *will* thank me for that piece of advice! You're welcome...

Absolute little gem of a place, wonderful place, lovely decor very pleasing on the eye. Set in an ambient atmosphere, the staff are very welcoming and our waitress Kimberly was excellent throughout the service. Looking forward to our next visit, thank you for a great evening 😀

Mmmmmm, not sure what to say. There was good parking and the other person with me said the toilets were clean. Hence 2 stars. My mum always said if you can’t leave a good review then don’t. So I’m not going to.

Very nice restaurant. Lovely staff. Speedy service. We needed to be in and out to go to the commonwealth games Judo. They hit that target. Plenty of parking, easy to find. It was a little dark inside. I know some restaurants want to create some ombiance, but not at 3pm!

Service was slow and cumbersome, sometimes painful to watch. I ordered the steak, rare. Being a steak house, I expected a good steak, how I ordered it. However, when it finally arrived, a good ten minutes before two of our other diners, of our party, I found the steak to be medium to well done. I found it to be a very cheap bad cut of beef and the few chips that made it to the table and plate, ranged from being 'triple cooked' to the left overs from someone else! Not the best experience, I won't be going back.

We enjoyed our visit. Despite a business trip we relaxed and had a good time. All of the staff were prompt, polite and kind. The venue was very clean and tidy, the food great quality, and great personal experience. Only reason for not getting 5 stars was portion size of the chips with our steaks. We visited two nights on the trot both nights we got only a few chips. It's just a potato, don't hold back. Other than that I cannot fault the place. Thanks for a great, personal and comfortable visit.
