A very beautiful and stunning palace with nice collection of artworks and details. You can also walk in the garden around the palace and enjoy it. It would be also a nice experience for the children.

Schloss Schleißheim comprises three individual palaces in a grand Baroque park in the village of Oberschleißheim which Is very near from Munich, Easily accessible either by car or by public transport. The grand park is one of the rare preserved baroque gardens in Germany. For a weekend walk I highly recommend this place, it’s not very crowded and you have a huge area to stroll, also very kids friendly.

What an amazing castle! The inside is really impressive and huge. Also the gardens of the castle are very nice and cosy. The only downside was the unfriendly staff… I removed my mask to take a picture for a second because the room was empty. A guy rushed to me and shouted in German. Seconds after he did the same for someone else and even more violently. The staff at the entrance are also quite rude. It is such a shame! But if you ignore that, the castle is a must do and it’s fantastic.

Huge palace with interesting architecture! It has a big garden with water around and some fish. This place is not as busy as other palaces in the central Munich.

It's astounding and very interesting how people have lived couple of hundred of years ago. It's definitely a place you should visit...

It boggles the mind of why a tourist attraction in such a beautiful city doesn't accept credit or debit cards for purchasing tickets. In 2022, cash only places of this size should not exist. We were extremely disappointed.

Impressive palace, certainly has more to offer than Nymphenburg. The baroque painting exhibition is also cool and contains quite a few gems by e.g Rubens, van Dyck and Spanish authors. Unfortunately, the light in some rooms is absolutely inadequate.

I love the mini-Louvre atmosphere from this Residence. Lovely Park to go around on sunny, but also wieder cold days. Get your fresh air in a majestic Park.... for free! Visit the Residence and the Museum that rebuild the 17 Century time.

It's a big & pretty castle filled with paintings. The surrounding garden and pond are pretty as well. During my visit (Saturday morning, early spring), there were hardly any visitors inside the castle. Note - Bags & some other items have to be stored in lockers inside ( unlike the two neighbouring castles).

Impressive exterior and interior architecture. you can visit the Ground floor and go from the right side to the left through all the rooms and see all the art and different halls. take the stairs ro the 1st floor and you pass by a ballroom then through a gallery of paintings to go from the right side to the left through all the sleepingrooms, office and rest rooms. The 17th architecture is very impressive. every room is explained in english/German with audio to help you. you pass from the old castle to the new through the first magnificent garden and then you can see the biggest one behind the new castle. entrance of combine tickets 10€ is recommended, wardrobe for own stuff is available and clean bathrooms. if you love bavarian architecture and dukes era this is a very recommended place.

Impressive palace called New Palace. Early closing hours in Winter at 4 PM. Gardens close by 5 PM in that season. The old palace nearby is actually a post-WW II reconstruction as the original old palace was destroyed by firebombing in 1944.

Very big and gorgeous castle. The paintings and decorations are beautiful. The garden is also very big and nice to walk around. Maybe it looks best to visit in the spring, when all flowers are bloomed…but was still nice with leaves. The combined ticket for all three castles costs 10 euros, so it’s recommended to get that one.

Neues Schloss is massive and definitely has a rustic vibe. There's plenty of place to walk around it in serenity. It will take around 25-30 minutes on bus from Garching Zentrum to reach Oberschleißheim, the stop for the Schloss. It's a decent one time visit, but definitely not a must have in your itinerary.

👍 There is an entrance gate here that is closed in the evening. There is a board with a description of the castle complex for better orientation. From here you can explore the complex. The entrance is beautifully decorated.
