For Odessa, it's a better stay than many other hotels. It's a bit dated and could use a remodel. Staff was very nice. Room was clean. I would stay again if passing through Odessa and needed to stay over.

This was 3rd (2023) consecutive 4th of July we spent in this hotel. The 1st year great! Second year ok, but I was sick entire stay so doesn't count. This year we requested a non smoking room. We got a room that apparently used to be smoking & smelled bad any time a/c was off. Bed comfy, room clean, plenty of towels, good breakfast. Elevator stopped working & we (retired couple) had to carry our luggage down staírs.

I liked the room. Nice and comfy. Did have free wifi, free complementary breakfast & microwave with fridge. The breakfast could of been little more varied each day or switch it around some days. It had same type of "main breakfast" for the 4 days of my stay. Very friendly & informative people on where my rooms were & other stuff. U can't assume people know the hotel. Liked the complimentary coffee & tea pots they had by the lobby. Different flavors. That's always a great gesture by the hotels. U have it available all day & night. Sometimes you just want something when you're in a hurry to work or come back to hotel from a long day at work.(my trip was business) but even if it was family trip I know me & my wife like that gesture. Gave it 4 cause I think the breakfast could of been varied little more daily.

As a Hilton Honors member for almost ten years, I called the front desk and requested a late check out and was denied. Not a good look for a Hilton affiliated hotel. But what else can I expect from a hotel in Odessa TX?

Quiet hotel, friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Fitness room could use some more equipment. Great coffee.

We stayed 4 nights and didn't see any service rooms. Good hotel. I recommend double windows in the rooms to limit the noise of the traffic.

We came in LATE (like 12:30am) and they had already charged my credit card the room fees plus this random $12~ addition. Upon check-in, never mentioned bonus membership things like "one free water bottle" or "one snack from the shop" or "one warm chocolate chip cookie as seen is most Hilton Hotels". Just "Here's your room". Okay, no worries. Shower that night didn't have cold water. All it had was scalding hot. When turned down halfway to cold, it shut off. After running for 30 minutes, the COLD setting was no longer burning skin. And the toilet leaked... from the hose, but it dripped on the floor and ran to the front of the toilet and created a puddle. Which my shorts fell in... But hopefully it was just water, right? Right? But I got two water bottles upon checkout. So that was nice. However, my credit card still shows $133.xx instead of $120.xx for that room on Tjursday night. Time can only tell.

Hotels are clean and everything okay, but tap water is so hard. You can't clean up properly other than okay If you want your room cleaned every day, you must let the front desk take note to be cleaned in the next few days

WARNING TO ALL GUEST BED BUGS AT THIS FACILITY STAY AWAY!!!!! Worst experience ever!!! I found bed bugs!! It was disgusting!!! When I reported this to the manager he told me he wasn’t sure why I found a bed bug since they had never had an issue with bed bugs in the past. He then went to tell me that it was probably from the previous guest. However when I went back to read their reviews I see they are some previous reviews mentioning bed bugs in the past. I will NEVER STAY AT THIS PROPERTY AGAIN!!!! I should had read the reviews prior to my stay, but I never thought a Hilton property would have issues like this. They need to stop taking in guest and address their bed bugs issue. Now I hope I haven’t brought bed bugs to my home from this stay.

Very Bad experience I do not recommend this Hotel !!! Dirty room , very bad customer service . I travel from Indiana to visit my Family but the customer service was terrible!! I got a room for my sister their because she recommended the hotel because she had work their before and they didn’t even let her come down to the front desk or to have breakfast with me and my other sister .Just because she had quit on them like one month before I came to see her . The manager name Ruben called her and told her he had cancel the reservation she had made under her name . That because she couldn’t get it under her name . I had never experienced this kind of customer service I have been a Hilton Honors customer for years and this was very unacceptable!!! I will never stay here again!!

My stay was fine, not great but good enough and I would have continued to have my team use this property had they not decided to be greedy. I had to check out early, the associate was gladly going to refund the difference. Since we booked through a third party he couldn't, I understood. He told me to contact them to request the refund and they would comply with the request, they did not. I hope the $400 was worth it, we spend around $15,000 per year on lodging in Odessa. This property will get none of it in the future.

This is my preferred hotel when visiting. *I gave a moderate rating for service because it's basically self-serve- neither good, nor bad. I do believe that it's time for renovation.

Room was very clean. Breakfast was well stocked and properly prepared. Front desk attendant put in minimal effort. I hate to have to ask for the complimentary items that they are supposed to give out when someone checks in.

Clean with friendly staff across the street from the University. Also nice well lit walking path around around a water retention pond supported on Odessa Rotarians.

Safety is not priority at this hotel! On my 7th night staying at the hotel a stranger entered my room at 10:30PM because the front desk gave him access to my room since we had the "same last name"!! Her idea of rectifying the situation was to bring me a bag of chips and bottled water. Needless to say I was completely frightened and I left to another hotel.

When making the reservation, I asked for a handicap room. Upon arrival, the room only qualified as handicap to them because it had a grab bar located on the back wall of a regular depth bathtub! When we questioned it, we were told it was OUR responsibility to specify what handicap features we wanted - i.e. walk in shower, grab bars, elevated toilet. The receptionist was not pleasant at all.

Much of the time at this hotel was spent trying to resolve a double billing issue. Now that I'm back home, I'm still trying to get the extra days that were charged removed. Room was paid for by me in advance. Clerk billed again when I get there and didn't know how to correct her error. She tried, but never succeeded. Now I'm handling with the credit card company.

From reservation process to check in to quality of the room, the experience was exactly what I would expect from a Hampton - expert front desk personnel (Reuben in particular he was amazing and VERY helpful), clean and comfortable room, good breakfast available. Upon arrival, Reuben was so kind and helpful plus he made an extra effort to have my room ready a little earlier than normal check in. We were there for a graveside service for my wife's sister, and Reuben went above and beyond to make sure that we had a peaceful stay. He also very graciously printed up a number of programs for the ceremony at no charge to us. He was also familiar with my sister who was already staying there with her husband and kept checking to see if we needed anything. Hampton almost always meets or exceeds my expectations. The Hampton in Odessa, Texas on John Ben Sheppard Pkwy exceeded my expectations. A special shout out to Reuben for the expert and gracious help he extended to us while we were there. Location was good. Bathroom door lock was broken looked to be possibly blood stains on the carpet. The attitude I got when leaving with my service dog was completely uncalled for, I made the reservation online and checked service dog nothing was said when I got there and walked through the lobby with her and got my key but on the way out this morning the attitude for not having a piece of paper (that was never told to me was needed) and a sign on the door (also never mentioned before at any hotel I had been to).
