I took my 12 year old foster son here and would have gotten much more out of the experience had he been willing to take more time so we could read the accompanying information in each exhibit. The collection is amazing in its size and a lot of thought has been put into the design of each exhibit. I hope to return some day with my physical therapist wife who I know will want to spend hours digesting all the information presented.

This place was fantastic. When we knew we were going to be in OKC, this was our number one family destination choice and it didn't disappoint. All of our kids, from the four year old to the fifteen year old loved it and found things to grab their interest and attention. The displays are exceptional and well marked with descriptions. We spent about two hours and definitely didn't take it all in fully. Definitely recommend!!!

What a unique museum! A must visit in OKC. A unique collection of skeletons of so many different species. The displays and accompanying information is superb. Lots of great information - whether you are a kid or a curious adult. And the gift shop has some really unique gifts too.

First time to come in and was blown away by all the facts and just to see the skeletons they had was just really cool. Perfect for adults and kids to spend a day or a few hours checking it out. I had never seen a whale skeleton before so that was neat and amazing to know these beautiful creatures are out there! My adult self enjoyed it just as much! Thanks! They offered a military discount for us so that was nice! Plenty of parking. It is a smaller museum however don't let that fool you, they have tons of skeletons and info for you to read plus activities for the kids to do while walking through. They have a cool gift shop. Go check it out you won't be disappointed!

This is a charming off the road museum that is well worth the visit. The handsome guy at the front desk (😉) was super nice and gave us plenty of information to guide us through the exhibits. We unfortunately didn’t get to meet Mr Indiana Bones, but completely understand as to why he had taken a few days off work. If you’re considering a visit then hesitate no more. You won’t regret it!

This place was amazing! I took my 1 year and 2 year old while traveling through and needing to stretch our legs. I was told that the kids were encourage to touch things which was so cool. My kids loved it and I loved seeing them so excited!

This place is incredible. There is so much to see. There was only a tiny collection of replica skulls & everything else was authentic. They’ve been using the same family of bugs to eat the flesh for their collection since the 80’s. I found it super interesting. The owner was there, interacting with people. It looks small from outside, but don’t let that fool you

Truly one of the coolest museums I've ever been too. So interesting to see everything with all the skin, muscles, and fur stripped off. My favorite part was seeing what families animals fit into and how they are different. For example, it's much easier to tell the difference between a dolphin and a porpoise, or a crocodile and an alligator, when it's just bones. Talks a great deal about natural selection and human evolution. I was overjoyed to see a scientific representation of human life in a place known for having a creationist mindset. A parting though, did you know platypus's are one of the only mammals that lay eggs? Now you do thanks to this museum.

Just… WOW! Everyone should see this place at some time in their life. All of the kids, from 2 to 16, were totally fascinated. We spent way too long wondering among the amazing exhibits. Looking at things that were just unimaginable. The story of the owner, and the process of how the museum came to be is really cool as well. Then to see how they do all this next door is… again, just wow. Totally a must see if your in the area, but just know it will take longer than you expected. An eye-opening, and mesmerizing afternoon.

Decided to go with my wife and 3-year-old daughter and I was extremely surprised to see how child friendly and educational this place was! The gift shop was wonderful and all of the exhibits were great. There were tons of fun facts and interesting articles attached to every exhibit. We loved it! 10 out of 10

Crazy cool interactive museum with tons of different animals to explore. It's definitely worth a visit again. The building was also very handicap accessible, with benches in front of every case and good elevator that makes it easy for people with crutches and wheelchair.

Really wonderful museum!!! At first glance, it looks small, but once you enter, it is packed with all sorts of wonderful bones!! It was really interesting to walk around in. Best part is that almost all of the bones are 100% real! Truly fascinating, highly recommend.

Really cool place for all ages. The museum has 2 floors with displays around all walls, both floors. There are free-standing displays on the floor as well as a stuffed crocodile, lion & cheetah. Upstairs, there's a TV that plays a video of the process of extracting the skeletons, cleaning them with bugs & reassembling them. It's definitely an interesting place to visit if you're in the area.

Super interesting museum. I never would have thought to even go to a museum like this if it weren't for my brother's suggestion. So glad we went. Staff is super knowledgeable and you just have to meet Sir Indiana Bones while you are there!

This great museum has so much to explore for such a small space. The exhibits are very interesting and have so much information that I feel like I could go again and still learn something new. This collection of specimens were all obtained ethically and are only 10% of the owner's collection! We went for a school field trip and the staff was engaging and kind. If you're a smashed penny collector like I am they have 12 different pennies you can make, and the staff wasn't even annoyed when I asked for change to get all 12. 🤣

This place is so cool! They rotate their displays constantly - so there’s often something new to see! Only 10% of their collection can fit inside, so plenty more to see! Don’t miss the beetles on the way in! That’s how the bones are cleaned. It was super busy today because of spring break. They have a nice little gift shop with unique treasures of insects & other small animals (real!) like butterflies. 2nd floor accessed by stairs, but there’s also an elevator so it’s ADA accessible. Bathrooms were pretty clean, given how crowded it was! My two kids (ages 11 & 14) enjoyed checking out all of the interesting bones. They have a scavenger hunt to help peak the interest of younger kiddos & even adults! Most bones are real, with a small exception of rare replicas (marked by red buttons). Overall great place!

Wow what a wonderful place. They have all real skeletons from sea animals to land animals including humans. My kid was so amazed. Strongly recommend to visit this place when you are near OK city. Tickets are less than $15.

This museum was absolutely ENCHANTING, I wish there was a higher star that I could give it. Every display piece was perfectly done, pristinely cleaned and amazingly articulated, we loved every single exhibit and I couldn’t be more thrilled then to have come here for my birthday! I am so thrilled to come back here on my next visit to OKC to enjoy it all over again. :)

I can’t say enough nice things about this place. We went on 02/05/2024 for my partner’s birthday (they also wrote a glowing review), and it became easily our favorite part of the entire 4 day trip. Firstly, the entire museum was hands-down the cleanest museum I’ve ever been to. The section of their pathological human bones was absolutely astounding. I spent easily 15 minutes there with my jaw on the floor. I’m a bone collector myself, and the both of us were absolutely floored by the sheer variety there. Lions, tigers, bears, dolphins, opossums, fish, birds, deer, anything you can think of, they probably have it. All of the bones were also astoundingly clean, I’ll admit I gawked a bit and geeked out over it. The gift shop was fantastic, it had something for everyone. Overall, 5 stars doesn’t even begin to describe how fantastic this place was.

The owner must be a serial killer /s. No, really, this was a very interesting place. From the outside, it looks small and unimpressive. But I must go inside to see just how awesome this place is. All the skeletons are real, including all the human bones. They process them all on sight, hence my joke. We watched videos from Dirty Jobs to the 6th creepest place, etc. It was awesome and interesting and kinda creepy, which was great since it is October. The gift shop was also really cool with some creepy and interesting items. This a must-see. Everyone should experience this place at least once.

Probably the best museum I've been too. I collect bones and study them, but I have never seen a better variety and well displayed collection in my life. I learned a ton and my kids did also. I was extremely impressed. Also, my son really, really wanted to meet Indy. He asked and was glad that Indy was taking visitors. I'm so appreciative. Staff was amazing

Great place to take your family! The facility is a bit small for a museum but it has actives for younger children. Price is great and offers military discount and an elevator for wheelchairs. I didn’t take lots of pictures so you can explore yourself. Average time 45 minutes to an hour. Facility was very clean and the temperature was very comfortable. I would recommend.

Was amazed at the number and quality of presentation in this museum. Thought it was gonna be small and ok. Turned out to be amazing inside. Yes, it’s small, but the bones - mostly real - are amazing. The way they clean them is, wow!!! They way they are displayed, especially the fish and birds - top notch. The info is quite well done, even to the point of some pretty good humor thrown it! The museum is NOT one to miss!

We came across this on the map when we were looking for a motel on our way to CA. It was so cool! Very well done, clean & educational. The earlier the better, it gets a little warm when there’s a crowd. The gift shop is pretty cool too and the museum staff seem to enjoy what they do. Would definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

I'm a 27 year old, and I had a ton of fun here. Being able to see all of the different animal skeletons was incredibly fascinating and informative. The skeletons you could touch provide a unique hands-on experience too. The crossword you can do throughout your time there just adds to the fun. I could only imagine how a kid would feel here. This is definitely worth checking out if you're in the OKC area.

It was even more fun than we expected. It was great for kids. We spent about 2 hrs and took about 15 pictures. We learned a lot. One kid was surprised about Hydrocephalus and we talked about how technology could help the human and animal shown there. There was an exhibit showing how bad oral hygiene affected the test and jaws.

We brought the kids here, and while they were excited they weren’t sure when we pulled into the parking lot. Don’t be fooled by the exterior or the setting in an industrial park — this is actually a great little museum! The displays are well done with lots of great information and comparisons, there are videos and interactive displays, and we all had a great time for about an hour or so. Nice gift shop too. I’d recommend it!

Super cool place full of interesting facts! It's not a real huge museum but what they do have inside is interesting. I tried to only give you a few highlights! As not to spoil the experience for anyone. There is so much more to look at and learn about, just in inside and up the stairs. The guide was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable! My kids loved it! Definitely worth checking out if you're ever in the area!

It is an amazing place to visit, when arrived to the place my family got disappointed expecting a bigger building but just after we check in and enter to the exhibition got lost for a bit more than one hour. My 4 yo daughter had fun guessing the animal and my 9 yo boy learn a lot about the differences in the bones structures among the species, class and families. To be honest I didn't had enough time to see and appreciate every skeletons there, but I would come back to spend more time.

Though small in size, this museum packs a lot inside! Hundreds of skeletons, skulls and bones from all kinds of animals. They have human skeletons all the way to bat skeletons. The exhibits are on two stories. Their gift shop had lots of cool things including real animal skulls and framed insects! A must see for science students of any age.

What an absolutely lovely surprise this was! It's not located where you would think a museum normally would be, nor does it look like very much from the outside, but wow! This place was so cool! My kids and I had a great time and it is definitely worth your time to check it out!

We went with four kids, ages 9 yrs to 2 months. It isn’t huge and is fabulously laid out for keeping track of your kids and for seeing everything in an orderly manner. There is a lot to touch! Touching is GREAT! The displays are well-organized and fun to look at and read. The scavenger hunts for different age ranges are fabulous. They kept us occupied there for hours and we learned so much more because of how they directed us and engaged us as an audience. The people who put this together should be really proud of their work and the people who worked there were super helpful and friendly. The only thing is that the scavenger hunt pages could be more prominently labeled. They took us a little bit to find.

Took my three teens. Very interesting collection they have. It’s not as big as I thought it would be, but turns out it is big enough. There’s lots to see and a lot to learn. My only complaint is the gift shop prices. They were way too high. We had fun and this would be a great place to take younger children or anyone interested in science and bones.

The warehouse is full of nothing but skeletons (human and animal). The bones have been collected from who knows where (some purchased, some donated). They have been reassembled (with minimal simulated parts) into anatomically complete displays, densely packed onto two floors. Sure, it sounds weird, but who wouldn’t be intrigued by looking under the hood of so many of the world’s creatures. It’s educational too. The museum is a private operation, not an academic one, but the scholarship seems legit. Thanks as well to the Skeleton Crew for the helpful followup to this review. They and their museum do a great job.

This place was AMAZING! We drove quite a distance to go and once there I was discouraged by the size of the outside of the building. Once inside, it proved that you never judge a book by its cover!!! There's so much to see, the owl pellet dissection class was so much fun and the staff is so kind and knowledgable! We will definitely be back and will tell many about this place!

We love this place. We went a few days ago and saw an incredible skeletons of all kinds of animals. There are really good collections of wild animal fossils. I hardly recommend this museum.

  • 5/5 Bill W. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing experience to be able to see all the skeletons, massive ones to very tiny ones. The tiny ones are impressive, for the detail it takes to put together those verses a larger skeleton is wild. The large ones are very impressive also, the whale is massive.

Grandkids really enjoyed but was bit disappointed only 1 bldg, tho 2 floors. No dinosaurs but just about every other kind of animal & human skeletons; self-paced. The ones in open can be touched, np. Cute, unique finds in gift shop but typical higher prices. Bring quarters & pennies to make an imprinted "smashed" penny, like at OKC zoo. Small kids area to touch/guess skulls, color, relax bit. Nice, clean bathrooms. Was VERY THANKFUL used the library Experience Passes as the cost would have been too much for what this is otherwise, hence the 4 stars. The clerks were all very nice & helpful, great job!

This place was super cool! I sat down and colored one of the coloring pages 🤣 Staff was very nice as well and it was clean. They played classical music which was really cool too. I saw they had some stickers and pins probably from local artist so that was neat. Thank you so much <3

Ny two children & myself spent about 2.5 hrs at the "Bone Museum". My youngest is 7 & my oldest is 16. There was lots of really neat stuff & information. Both of my children really enjoyed looking and touching all the neat stuff they have. Majority of their collection is in cases, but some are not & you are able to touch. When we arrived we were greates by a young man who was just as friendly as he was polite. They really are very informative & eager to answer any & all questions you could have. We definitely enjoyed the afternoon & would recommend this place to anyone who is interested or just trying to find something to do!

Neat gift shop for some oddities you dont normally find in other places. Tip: if you are a patron to the metropolitan library system, check out their experience passes for this location!!
