I had a horrible experience, during OKC PRIDE none the less, with The Boom bartenders while watching a drag show. Keep this in mind, I have been a bartender of fine dining restaurants for the past 2 years. I ordered a drink and the total came to $5.50. I gave the bartender $6 and he told me I shortened changed him by .50....which I know I did not. I disregarded his mistake and gave him an extra .50. Afterwards, he turned to another bartender and complained about how I “shortchanged him .50.” I would NEVER expect this from a gay establishment especially during pride.

This was the perfect place to have my daughters 21st birthday brunch!! The French Toast was mouthwatering and the Biscuits and Gravy were fantastic! We had so much fun, the show was hilarious, we are already talking about coming again soon.

Best drag shows in town. Sunday Gospel Brunch and Trashy Thursday's are loads of fun. Two separate bar areas & an attractive patio provide plenty of space to move about. The bartender situation here is a little strange. Some of them are very friendly while others are stiff & robotic. And some are just straight up rude. There is zero consistency across the board. They also have them wearing these little tuxedo uniforms that look hilariously dated. But I digress. Beware of drink pricing as things get unexpectedly expensive. Ask for anything more exotic than a Screwdriver or Bloody Mary and you may end up a with a $12 cocktail on your hands. Hell, ask for anything exotic and they may not know how to make it. It's happened on many an occasion. Get drunk at Tramps and come here for the great drag. Overall I honestly love the place. I just wish it felt a little more modern.

Went for Sunday Gospel Brunch and had a great time! Definitely need a good sense of humor to attend. I got the breakfast burger and it was pretty good.

The drag queens were great. Their performances were so polished and with so much enthusiasm. It was unfortunate because one of the Drag hosts made a comment about Mexican people that was a form of discrimination. Also noticed there was no diversity what so ever. Not on stage and not in the audience. Sad that anyone in the gay community would discriminate people from their own community or other marginalized communities.

Very good food. Terrific drinks. Staff was cordial and quickly responsive. Owner himself came to make sure all was good Being a new patron, and fellow business owner, I found that quite refreshing, sincere and professional. Definitely a must-visit kind of place!

I had such a wonderful experience here at The Boom! Everybody was so amazing! Very helpful and very friendly. The doorman, Donnie, was absolutely amazing as well! He is so sweet and definitely help me feel more comfortable entering what was for me a whole new bar and experience. I'm weird about touching doors in public. But if he sees anyone coming near a door he is on it! He definitely pays attention to the customers. Thank you Donnie! You finalized The Boom getting a 5 star rating from me! Thank you for the rest of the workers at the boom as well! Including the actors! It was such a wonderful show and it was truly a night worth remembering. 💜

I brought some friends there this past weekend because she and her girlfriend never been. I was embarrassed and upset because of the host joked about their size and making joke about me as well. Granted it is supposed to be fun and entertaining, but not at the extent of others. The performance was good just not that part of the show. Not sure if we will come back.

The performances are amazing! The last show I attended was Rocky Horror. Food and drinks are pretty good, too. My only disappointment is that the seating is way too close and they don't seat people together who came together. Spent $400.00 to get separate seating.

We went for dinner and theater, Rocky Horror. All I can say was the food was excellent (I kept my eye ball & smile every time I see it in my car). My face hurt from laughing so much. It was the best date night I've had in a while. A place where EVERYONE is accepted, no judgement just joy.

The Boom is always a blast! Between the mixed group of people who socially interact well to the hilarious antics of the beloved queens, it is hard not to love the place! The food is good, drinks are strong and the bartenders are handsome, able and fast! What s not to love? And then, of course, there s Rocky Horror every year!!! And fun little plays are ongoing throughout the year! Thanks to all who make the Boom a fun place for all who enter!!! Keep doing what you're doing! We see and appreciate all your effort!

The shows are great, I've always had a great time here. Great experience to join in with friends and just have a good time. It does get very crowded! If you're going to see a show, go early to get a seat because if you wait till about 5-10 mins before show you'll be standing at the far back.

Fantastic entertainment, but don't go if you get easily offended. Please don't, for everyone's sake including the entertainers. Truly laughed so hard my stomach hurt. Will go back for sure. Bloody Mary's are phenomenal! Bartender was sweet and patient. Get the "Bisexual Mimosa" for sure. Our party loved it. If you are celebrating a special day make sure to request special seating through the phone number.

Four stars for the entertainment! Saw the Golden Girls this weekend and it was great. The actors clearly prepared very well for their roles and were hilarious! However, the owner needs to put some of the mega-bucks made off these shows back into the venue itself. Our party was seated under a major water drip from the ceiling with no solution from the staff but to move around the table (which was already over-seated), several had to sit on basic bar stools without backs, making for a VERY uncomfortable two-hour show and aching backs. The remaining stools with backs were broken with cracked vinyl and were impossibly uncomfortable. The table was uneven and the hostess told us to wad up napkins to put under the wobbly legs. There were only two servers working the entire club for a Friday night and wait time on drinks and food was 30 minutes or more. They are so short-staffed that the cook was delivering plates to the tables. The hostess was disorganized and had not received reservation instructions from the owner because he failed to communicate them to her prior to showtime. For all the energy and prep the performers clearly invested, the owner should follow suit and kick it up a notch on the furnishings and staff. Your guests deserve it.

Well atmosphere was nice but it seemed liked they didn’t pour alcohol into there drinks at all will not go back $12 for a cranberry and a sour? No booze in a drink is a joke

I love the Boom always, but, I recently ate there for the first time (also first time seeing it in daylight, but I digress…) and the food was SO good for Sunday gospel brunch! Even though it was a packed house our waiter was super friendly and attentive and came back to check on us and get drink refills.

We were there last night and have been many times. Best entertainment by far. The Beaty Pageant show was my fav. Food is always amazing and manicotti tonight was on point. What always is consistent is the staff and entertainment. 15/10 rating. From greeting at the door to on stage performers, the best. The wait staff are better than you will get at most restaurant around town. Can’t wait to go again.

The Boom is always a great time, whether you go for casual drinks on the patio, a weekend drag show, bingo or trivia, Sunday Gospel Brunch or a full musical production, you will enjoy top quality entertainment, a professional staff, great drinks and delicious food. The Boom’s professional quality stage, sound and lights make it a unique entertainment destination.

We went here for the first time and got singled out by the host Queen in a nasty manner. We’ve been to and supported so many drag shows, but this one was different. In addition to the host calling us out for not having the same music preference (and implying we were racist), the queens would walk out, grab a dollar, and get off stage. There was little to no performance nor stage presence. This establishment is NOT what’s drag is about. The host Queen exhibited characteristics of exclusively, unkindness, shallowness, and insolence.

First and foremost, the Queens are amazing, they can sing (lip-synch AND real sing) they can dance, they converse and interact with their guests, and the drinks are never second best! Bartenders are professional and polite, always willing to break bills for tips. The venue is clean and smells better than other establishments in the area. The seating is comfortable, I just wish they had an awesome patioTHEY DO HAVE AN AWESOME PATIO!!! Next time I visit I’m making sure to try some food!

I Absolutely Love this place. The atmosphere is tremendously fun and enjoyable. The performances are absolutely entertaining. The routines are creative and thought out, showing their individual talent's and passion's, while also appealing to the audience. "Spectacular", your hard work show's. To top it off, the staff is absolutely amazing, a breath of fresh air and we'll appreciated. From the smiles at the door, to smiles and kindness through-out, from the staff inside. I would, completely recommend: "THE BOOM", for a night of fun and enjoyable quality entertainment.

Excellent way to spend a Saturday night & Sunday afternoon. Saturday night drag performances were wonderful, MC was hilarious. I also attended the gospel brunch on Sunday and it was one of the best drag show comedy brunches I've ever attended and I've been to a few (I am from NYC). The food & drinks were delicious. If I am ever in the area I would go again for sure.

Again, I must say it’s very segregated. People of color are not welcomed at these type of establishments. I have been coming to 39 for over 57 years I have never seen it so segregated in my life. My best friend, Tony Sinclair, and his loving husband probably will be turning over in their grave to see how 39th has changed. All the clubs are carbon copies of one another. They do not play any R&B, hip-hop or any kind of music of that type. Basically they do not play anything of people of color. Listen to the clubs are just solid to say is really bad. I have been gay all my life and I have never in my my God-given gears on earth experience the racism that I seem to experience oh 39. I don’t know how to describe this when I first started coming to 39 when I was a teenager when the rec room was open we had so much fun. It slowly, but surely they stored facing people of color out of any kind of activities. And I hate to say that, but it’s the truth.
