This place was so good! Started with the crab dip for an appetizer. They have some pretty good lunch specials although I opted for the roasted prime rib that they are apparently known for. The prime rib is excellent!! We also tried the mahi mahi which was also really good. Overall a great experience. We will definitely visit again!

I've heard about this place from many people several times. So decided to go ahead and check it out and see what all the hoopla was about. First time walking in I was greeted by a bear my mom said she had to take a picture with it. We were immediately met by the house and seated at our table. Our waiter came by and spoke with us and let us know what the drink specials were with a specials for the day and kind of went over the menu with us. Our mail started with an appetizer which wasn't very impressive it was alligator but both of us swarming down it tastes like chicken. So we went ahead and went with the calamari which was outstanding and Fabulous. The main dishes in which we got for our main meal were outstanding you can taste the freshness in the fish. Even the sides were exceptionally good. But I do have to say that the staff was not very friendly or really welcoming seem like everybody was in a bad mood that worked there.

Plenty to look at while dining. Stuffed fish, animals, and canoes just to mention a few of the collections. Bread, tasted good but fell short on texture and size. Salad was amazing with onion straws on top. I had the cajun popcorn shrimp and my husband had the alligator appetizer. Both were fantastic. Second order of bread was better.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! The staff was friendly and our waiter was prompt with everything! Food came out fast and not to mention delicious! There was not one thing I could complain about during our visit! The Blackened Gator bites and Clam Chowder were beyond AMAZING. The Blackened Red Fish was so tender and had great flavor! The Crawfish รฉtouffรฉe was spicy, but that's the way cajun/creole food should be, wasn't over wheming but more so of perfectly spiced. Will definitely come back when we have the chance!

This place was so delicious. We ordered the crab dip as our appetizer. It was creamy and flavorful. For my plate I ordered the pecan crusted rainbow trout and it came with creole potatoe salad. I was told I could substitute the side for any other side free of charge if I had wanted. Everything paired well together. Our server was helpful and attentive to our needs. This place has signature dishes and an overall experience that it hard to match. I definitely recommend this place if you are a fish/seafood person.

Great vibes when you walk in. Friendly staff like our Server John are amazing. But the star of the visit will be the food. This maple glazed cedar plank Salmon... It's to die for delicious. My compliments to the chef.

I have to say I'm always leary about eating seafood in a landlocked state, but this place was the bomb! From the outside to the inside, it reminded me of places in Louisiana. The interior was fun and played Cajun music! I started my meal with a 2 flight of burbon! They have a pretty extensive burbon/whiskey/rye list! Sadly, no Pappy Van Winkle! But, I would have been shocked if they had it! Started with a calamari app, and it was great! Lightly breaded and cooked to perfection! Would have been a perfect 10 but consisted of only rings; no tentacles. The accompanying dipping sauce was a marinara based and complemented the dish. The meal: The Mahi Mahi(not the lunch special) was grilled with a spicy sweet sauce and was awesome. The filet could have been a tad bigger though. The slaw garnish consisting of red cabbage, red onion was very good and I ate it all. The Creole potato salad was good, but I guess it is creole because of the addition of paprika? My last side was the jalapeรฑo grits! Yum! Creamy goodness with a very slight heat finish. About a 4 or 5 out 10 heat scale. (I usually like no more than 8). My wife had the prime rib and shrimp. She enjoyed it immensely! The prime rib was a fair size slab! Her sides were a garlic mash, and a yellow squash that is cut in half hollowed out and stuffed with spinach and bread crumbs and topped with a lemony like hollandaise sauce! She never had squash like that before and it tasted awesome! My sister in-law had a prime rib stacked sandwich served open faced with cheddar cheese and smothered in fresh shoe string fried onions! She said it was da bomb! Also she said her coleslaw was very tasty and paired well with the sandwich! Last but not least: kudos to our server Myka! She knew the menu and was able to help us make our selections from the extensive menu!. She was friendly and attentive! This is one of the better restaurants I have eaten at in Oklahoma City area, and the next time I'm in state visiting in-laws I will make the hour plus drive to eat here!

Interesting place with good food and extensive bourbon menu. Had alligator bites (1/2 fried, 1/2 blackened) for an app. Blackened bites were better, although more of a novelty than something I would order again. Shrimp and grits were tasty, the right amount of spice, and a sizable portion. Ordered a flight of bourbons, which was a cool idea. Definitely a number of options I can't find near me in Massachusetts. Pours seemed to be a little light for the price, but not unreasonable. Would recommend.

We absolutely love this place! If your looking for a great seafood restaurant this is definitely one! Great service! The kids love looking at all the decorations. If you'd like to do something special for the Cooks you can order them a six pack for 6 which I think is awesome cause who doesn't want to compliment the chef. Best seafood we've ever had! They also have a ton of other things on the menu. Definitely a must try!

First time here and it wonโ€™t be our last. We came in for lunch and everyone was so nice and friendly. Our waitress was very attentive and very helpful recommending things and etc. The food was fresh and very flavorful. As a Texas native and half Cajun from my family in Louisiana I can say that I was impressed. Yโ€™all did right by Louisiana cuisine. I wish we had room for dessert. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.

I love this place. Awesome bar, atmosphere, menu. Good variety with surf and turf or a po boy. I've had most of the seafood pastas and they're amazing. All that said the wait staff forgot to put in our tables orders twice and had to be reminded or canceled. Also, on a regular night, the wait on the food has been 30 to 50 minutes. That knocks down a star for me.

I dont eat seafood but I went here for a birthday and it wasn't to bad. I ordered the salad which was huge and tasty and also the Cajun fries which I expected to be better seasoned then they were. The service was really good.

Amazing restaurant! Firstly, the food is bursting with flavors! The fish fell apart, it was so moist and flaky. Secondly, the variety here is wild! ;) so many new things to try and experience! Gluten free options available! The environment was amazing. It was cozy and inviting. The decorations on the wall were so exciting to explore and the plethora of taxidermy animals was also exciting and educational! I definitely recommend bringing the family!

This is an incredibly well decorated and well run restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the surroundings very well done and interesting. They are not the least expensive place to eat in town but the experience is WELL worth it. John, (Tom), our server was a lot of fun.

Trapper's is busy, but the service was good. Nice place to get some good seafood. The Squash Rockefeller was a delightful side and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his prime rib.

Ya...this place is pretty great. Atmosphere is a little eclectic having a western look and feel and east coast music lol. But the service and food is outstanding. I arrived at about 7pm and it was steady the whole evening. Even when a rush came from the grounds...they handled it well. Oyster were good, although a tad bland. I definitely taste farmed. No ocean taste. Some people may like that, I prefer the briny ones. Calamari is probably the best I have had....ever. The garlic butter hot pepper is FANTASTIC. the Cajun surf and turf is also very very good. I don't think there could be a bad decision on food. Only problem is FOMO in deciding.

Awesome, Cajun food! Good service and a big menu. I recommend the Red fish Pontchartrain, but everything on the menu is good. Gets crowded on most nights, so plan accordingly.
