Fantastic experience. From the check in to the vendors on site to the crew aboard the train. Our girls enjoyed the train ride for the Polar Express. The hot chocolate was super delicious the cookies were TASTY also. I'm very excited to do this again in the future. The value was worth it in my perspective. Whomever is in charge of logistics did a great job and should be commended. Respectfully, The Smith family of Yukon, Oklahoma

Free entry!!! Lots of cars to see and you are able to actually go on more than a few of them. Cool historic artifacts with descriptions as well. I saw them setting up for a kids bday party which is cool that they can do that there.

The family had a fun time visiting and seeing all the trains. Some were closed because of the heat but we still enjoyed it. We also took a train ride that wasn't spectacular but we still had fun. If you're looking for a fun activity and something out of the norm, this might be it.

I loved my visit to the Oklahoma Railway Museum. I’m not into trains at all but it was still interesting to see the Engines and rail cars. I really enjoyed walking around the property and trains. There is so much to see and a lot of opportunities to take industrial photos. You can literally smell the history here as the smell of grease and oil is still on a few locomotives. What a wonderful place to bring kids. The trains take some effort and strength to actually pull yourself up to their steps so I can easily see myself bring my toddlers to check it out. I loved the time I spent here and I appreciated how knowledgeable and friendly the staff were. All around great experience and location to spend a summer afternoon.

Daughter and I took the kiddos out for a first tome visit and had a great time. Would like to go back in the fall tome to enjoy the fall foliage.

They have a huge inventory of trains and cabooses in various states of restoration. It's all free to see and only the train ride requires a fee. Purchasing the tickets online saved time in the small ticket/gift structure. There are no bathrooms or drinks on the train, so plan accordingly. This is a good family activity, but children less than a year old probably should be discouraged. On very hot days, the AC in the old cars just does manage to keep up marginally.

First off the museum was very accommodating when we had to cancel our Easter Train ride due to illness. They could have easily said to us “sorry no refunds” but they offered to reschedule us to another train ride day. Thank you for being very accommodating. Our day came and we enjoyed our visit. A small but wonderful museum about the history of Oklahoma railroad. We thoroughly enjoyed our 30-40 minute ride in a restored passenger car. Our daughter kept telling us thank you. This place is a great place for adults who love history and for kids. Highly recommend this place if you enjoy history and trains.

Oh what a wonderful experience. ❤❤ Before we went to get off the train, the train car hosts approached us and gave us another bell a piece because we couldn't hardly hear because of some obnoxiously loud people in front of us and they complimented how well the kids behaved and interacted with the cast on the train. My daughter was also asked by the Polar Express Conducter himself to help with the ending of the train ride by helping deliver the first gift of Christmas to the kid who had a hole in his pocket. ❤❤ My heart is so full. ❤❤

We made a special trip to OKC to come to Riversports Adventures. We checked the website for what type of shoes were acceptable and then were told when we arrived, after paying $5 for parking per vehicle, our shoes where not permitted. We could either rent shoes for $8 a pair or buy some for $30 a pair. We were also told that the rental shoes were not for all activities. What a huge waste of time, gas, toll payments, and very disappointed children.

Polar Express was out of this world amazing!!! Very professional and actors/actresses were insane good! The whole performance was good and the singing brought tears to my eyes. Loved it. May go back again before Christmas.

We always love any events put on here. I usually bring the kids for Thomas the Train when he is in town. This year we rode on the Polar Express. It was amazing! The staff was friendly, energetic, and involved the audience. Even my 4 year old had a great time. This was his first train ride and he loved it. My 10 year old loved it as well.

I took a couple of my children to The Polar Express production, and it was FANTASTIC! All of the cast and staff members were incredible! I am disabled and they were great helping me off of the train. My ticket wasn't punched initially, and my train's conductor did it for me. I will be back next year with the rest of my crew!

Unfortunately I choose this adventure for a birthday weekend and I was throughly disappointed. When I checked in at noon I told the front desk staff I had never been there before. The only information given to me was to fill out my waiver and buy shoes. Once that was completed we walked outside to grab drinks and start an activity. We decided to paddle board. The location of which we could not find. Not a single employee asked if we needed help or guided us at all. Once we asked, we were told there would be no paddle boarding that day. (1.Front desk staff should've told me this before suggesting the activity. 2.This was one of the three activities that I paid for). It is now 1:30pm. We then decide to go tubbing. We find the station and there are no staff to be found. We begin to gear up after being watched by staff for about 10minutes. One staff member runs over and informs us they don't open until 2:00pm. (Front desk staff should've told me this when I checked in at NOON). We decide to get a snack while we wait for the park to open. We arrive at the concessions and place our order. The staff hands me the one pretzel that had been in the rotator since noon. As soon as I touched it, it crumbled because it was so dry. I ask if it would be ok if I waited for a fresh one. I knew it wold take time and that's ok. The employee flipped out on me. She lets out a big huff and says it's going to be a minute and that my friends had already ordered two. I explained that it's ok and I don't mind waiting. She proceeds to explain to me frustrated that another employee left them un-stocked and now they have nothing. I tell her it's ok I understand. She begins to yell at said employee then walks out of the stand. I don't see them use an oven or anything but watch them put the pretzels directly into the rotating machine. We wait about 10minutes, then all three of us are served COLD pretzels, yet the cheese was so hot it burned through the plastic cups they served it in. I gave up. My friend asked that hers pretzel be warmed and they responded that there is no microwave. How the rest out that turned out I cant even tell you. After our sad snack break we kayak. Which is why this review has one star because that was literally the only positive experience we had at this twilight zone. We then go tubbing. We had a fun way down although the cement blocks underneath can really be a pain in the rear, pun intended. At the bottom of the activity a petit young girl tries to catch our tube (4 woman in their 20's). The current drags her with us and my friends proceed to grab tight to the blue blocks. The poor girl is holding on for dear life calling out for another employee to come help her as we hang onto the blue block. She calls for him but he doesn't come. She tells us she isn't sure what the protocol is here. (Anyone who works in water should be aware of ALL SAFTEY PROTOCOLS.) We offer to get out but she says no. Another woman tries to come to the rescue but is working against the current and is unable to get help as well. Causing her to drop her tube which I catch and now holding on to. Durning this the staff is still calling out for another employee to help. He finally runs over and just instructs us to get out. Like we had been asking for 10 minutes. We arrive safely back to deck and decide to just end our day. I have been paddling competitively for 8 years, earning 5 gold medals throughout my career, needless to say I was very excited about visiting here and paying for my cousins pass at it was her birthday. I regret spending the money/time here.

Our family was there to see The Polar Express. It was well worth the money. I had such a great time I think even more than the kids. The staff was very professional and everything looked and sounded great. I would definitely go again. I think it's better to go at night time though I think it will make your experience better.

Fantastic place, so much rolling stock to see. They are 100% sales and donations funded, no aid from the state or federal. If you like trains, even just a little, this place is a must see. General admission is free, but they do sell excursion tickets. The gift shop is also a fantastic place to visit. They do accept donations by card in $5 increments via a "tip jar" located in the gift shop. If the model train exhibit is locked, just ask museum staff and they'll open it for you

Went for the first time on Father's Day, 2023. Both grandsons seemed to enjoy everything. My 2.5 y/o loved getting his hands on the real railroad tools in the exhibit room. Wrenches, spikes, rails. etc. He's only got plastic tools at home but loves to play "fix it". The gift shop is jammed full of cool stuff, but cramped; so, get there before your train leaves, or while a run has gone out. They're mobbed after a train arrives back at the station. The model train experience was a big hit, too. But I would have liked to have seen more than one train running. There's plenty of room for a freight and a passenger train to run at the same time. It's DCC controlled, so no blocking worries. It's a lot of dead time when you're at the wrong end. (I have an HO layout at home (8'x4') that can run 3 trains at once. My grandsons love to watch it and touch). Our 11:15 train journey was made excellent by docent, Brandon, who explained everything beautifully. Every one of the volunteers is in perfect "character", extremely knowledgeable and looks out for everyone's safety and well-being. Of course, we visited the interior of the caboose, as well. I would have liked to have visited more cars and engines, but the kids got tired, and my daughter got tired, as well. But that simply means I've got to go back...and I will soon!!

They close down everything do to slight winds. We barely got to enjoy anything. And no you are not compensated in any way. I will not return. We drove 6 hours and spent $200 to raft once. Don't waste your time or money!

Paid $5 per vehicle parking. Read the website stating that you just needed shoes with a heal strap. Got there and they would not allow crocks. They offered us to rent some shoes for $8 a pair and you couldn't use them on all of the activities. Plus with COVID going around and using rented shoes that who knows how they are actually cleaned. We made a special trips to find out that they do not follow their website. Not happy about our trip since we didn't even get to go on any of the activities.

Every bit of the experience was top notch. Our 9yr old Daughter was a bit sceptical of how the white water looked at first.... But after that first trip down the black diamond tube course, She looked at us and said, "I Cant Belive I Almost Missed Out On This!!!" If you Have ever enjoyed a day on the river, then give Riversports Adventures of OKC a shot. We were not disappointed and are ready to book our next trip!

Participated in both diesel & steam “At the Throttle “ events. To live out my dream of not only operating a diesel, but the opportunity to be in control of a steam locomotive were the greatest gifts ever received for my birthday. Both engineers on each piece of equipment were friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable of their locomotives and “rail history “ associated with the old Katy Line the museum operates on. I learned so much in my short time spent on the rails. Thank you ORM members and volunteers for making these events possible to the public.

  • 5/5 Rohit S. 2 years ago on Google
The people who set this up have gone a yard or two extra to neatly explain the various components used in the rail industry.. color coded stuff which anyone can easily understand. Nice collection of locomotives and coaches. Ranging from diesel to steam piston. Hard to believe some of these locomotives were built decades ago, such amazing feat of engineering!! Kudos to ppl who built these and the ppl who collect and maintain this for us public to see. This place offers a 45 min train ride up until end of August.. you can also host parties here (as it says at the entrance on their notice board).

Price: free Duration : 30min - 1 hour Worthwhile stop if you're interested in trains. It is a fully volunteer run organization with the mission of preserving and restoring historic trades. You get the opportunity to walk through a number of train cars and cabooses from different time periods

  • 5/5 Venkat C. 1 year ago on Google
The collection of engines, railcars and cabooses, built over 20 years is amazing. Some of them are accessible to the public, others need a volunteer to be present. On select days there are scheduled train rides lasting 45 minutes, which sounded like fun.

  • 5/5 Vickie E. 9 months ago on Google
The entry to the museum was free. The train ride was $12 for an adult. The ride was fun. The museum was interesting. They had pictures that included all the different people who worked on the railways. It felt inclusive.

  • 4/5 Sharon L. 1 year ago on Google
The decommissioned trains are great! Plenty to look at and explore. The train ride, however, was less than expected. It goes literally 9 miles per hour, in a straight line where the view is...weeds. Literally the least interesting thing anyone can do. Also, the trains have old pubkic transit seats and carpet and well, it basically feels and smells like an old bus. So, I do recommend that you take kids here to explore, but the train ride is not something they will enjoy.

This museum is amazing!! There's normally no fee to enter, though you can (and should!) purchase tickets to ride the trains during their events. You can tell that they genuinely care about the trains & the history of them, and they're very friendly & helpful people. I've been to visit on normal days, and recently attended their Halloween event. Will definitely continue to visit!! It's definitely worth stopping by.

My family and I tried something new and I would rate my experience as unforgettable in a good and bad way! Being in the water and just enjoying that as well as the slides were very fun and relaxing. I went in the inside to buy snacks and when it was time to pay, I realized my bank card was missing. So I asked the lady behind the counter in the little shop where the sodas was if they had a way I can announce if anyone had seen a card laying around( I know it was a far reach) but anyways, the lady assumed I wanted to argue or y’all to someone about my charge for the items. I tried to explain but she was acting so rude that I just left and we started looking for the card ourselves. Fast forward, I gave my daughter some money to buy snacks for the kids and she gave the lady too much money three 5 dollar bills along with a twenty but instead of her giving the extra money , she just gave her change for the 20 so I told her when I found out 1 minute later I went in there to ask her could she count her drawer down if she need to because my daughter gave her too much but she didn’t give that back. The lady just handed me a twenty and I was like that’s too much. You owe us 15 but she started acting like she was scared and saying she don’t want problems and I told her I don’t want your drawer short and I don’t want the extra 5. But she just started saying I will put the money in if I’m short, I just don’t want to count this money. I’m just sad, and at the same time I’m wondering what will come of this situation because at this point anything can be said after we left. I have never stolen anything and don’t ever plan on either. I need to make sure that young woman drawer was short and I want to give her money back. I was never disrespectful or raised my voice but I feel like she was either scared or was just over it at that time. I don’t know is if she was stressed but I need her to know that I was just trying to get back what was mine. Hope she is good! I felt strange after the whole incident!

Drove 5 hours to check this place out and oh my gosh, my body is killing me!!!!! We just did the tubing and I don’t understand why there are rock hard blocks in the water going down on the tube?? I have major bruising on my rear and lower back. Also, carrying the yellow family tube up the rocky trail all the way to the top each time is exhausting. It can be fun, but not worth the injuries...🙁

We rode the riverrafts today. Roy was our guide. I am a middle age woman who has never been very coordinated. He was so kind and helpful. He was very patient with me when I was unable to keep up with the others and helped me out of the raft. The whole experience was a blast! I also had a similar experience while surfing. I went there to paddle board with my boyfriend and while I enjoyed paddle boarding immensely the rest of my expierence wasn't that great. We get there and ask where we rent the paddle boards and we were directed to "the large building with windows" we walked across the whole campus to discovers there are 4 buildings that fit that description and had to find another employee who then informed us that it is in fact not over here but that we had passed it. We were supposed to go to a separate building to rent paddle boats by the jungle gym. There we were informed to ask someone else because she didn't know. We asked a girl who was literally 5 feet away and she informed us that actually we are to get them down there as long as we have wrist bands. She then directed us to the main building back to the first girl to find where to purchase wristbands. It took us over half an hour walking around and asking around to figure out how to do anything at this place because no one knew how to rent paddle boards. We also had to wait about half an hour to get a paddle board because it was first come first serve and they were out on the water for hours at a time. Once we got it we had fun but most of our expierence was a lot of confusion, frustration, and overall not that great. Please have more helpful employees who know what you have to offer including where they are located and how to gain access to them.

This place is cool. Newer facility that offers tubing, river rafting, and kayaks in a controlled river environment. Also, a ropes course with multiple levels and three mega-slides. Additionally, multiple other activities. The greatest part was the staff - they all looked like high school seniors and early college kids, but THEY WERE AWESOME. All were very polite and had positive attitudes. Whoever the manager the hiring process has a good idea of great people. These kids were great people.

Regatta. Regatta. Regatta. That's my reason for visiting. It's my third year to be here. Sometimes it is perfect weather and not as great results as these days with cooler weather. Results were good. Grandchildren had their days and will likely have more good days to come rowing and learning team work with those who share the passion for the sport. Facilities are world class.
