Black Bear 🐻 Diner is a great place to eat. They have good ole fashioned home cooked foods and deserts. The service is great and the atmosphere is unique.

I was pretty wowed by this place. Michael, our server was adorable 😍 and very proficient. I ordered the Eggs Benedict... 🥚 1/2 standard....and 1/2 California style... with hashbrowns and fresh fruit. My friend ordered an omelet and a biscuit with gravy... 🥚 🍳 🥚 . My other GF orded a waffle 🧇 which had a cute little bear 🐻 🐾 in the middle. The restaurant had such a nice woodsy decor with lovey pictures of bears and woody scenes. There is a cute little shop area with all kinds of Black Bear items.. there were the most adorable bear boots... 💙 . *Just cause I was a restaurant GM in another life I have to say the couple things that could have been better were, the trash 🗑 right by the front door 🚪 needed attention and the 🚻 restroom had trash on the floor. None of this was warranted taking anything from the overall 5 🌟 star wonderful experience we had. 😊

Had the biscuits and gravy for under 6 dollars, quick to go service under 3 min. By far the closest to Grandy's, but you might ask for extra gravy. Still way better than metro diner across the turnpike, as these biscuits were twice their size. Therefore they are the winner in today's biscuits and gravy battle. (I haven't actually eaten here, but I've delivered to customers and the breakfast always smells just amazing, the inside and outside of the store is really beautiful. Nice cozy feeling inside.)

Great stop if you’re passing through. Best pancakes I’ve ever had, hands down. The service was awesome. Family friendly atmosphere. There is also a gift shop inside. The restaurant is very well branded with lots of fun things to look at while dining. The menu is very well priced as well.

Steven was awesome. Very knowledgeable of the menu and suggested items were good. The restaurant was super clean. Everyone was nice from being greeted into the restaurant to leaving. I had Southern Scramble w/only egg whites. The sausage patties carried the dish because the “sausage gravy” had no seasoning or sausage in it. The homemade biscuits were good. The cinnamon roll French toast was OUTSTANDING!! I’m only giving it a 4 because the lack of seasoning but my wife and I ate all of our food lol.

I usually like Black Bear Diner. It’s been a while since I’ve been and this was the first time at this location. It was about 11:00 a.m. Service was a bit…lackluster but she was nice. Food looked delicious when it came out but my omelet really had no flavor. I added salt, pepper and hot sauce to try to help it. Another dish was the Eggs Benedict, looked great but was overcooked. We were in a bit of a hurry so we didn’t mention it to the server. Hubby had the volcano stack, he said it was ok but he didn’t care for the sausage. Cashier was friendly. Restaurant appeared to be clean.

A very interesting place. Lots of bears. You definitely get your money's worth and shouldn't go home hungry with these serving sizes. The service and food were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and shall return soon.

This diner seems to be vastly under rated! We went on a Sunday evening and it was near empty. I don't understand why because the food and service was AMAZING! Highly recommended!

This place was great! Loved the atmosphere and amazing variety on the menu. My buffalo chicken wrap was really yummy! Sia (sp?) was a very sweet and great server. I will say seemed like a pretty slow paced atmosphere though so not sure I'd recommend it if you're in a hurry.

I ordered in tonight with delivery. Food was still warm but I'm totally disappointed with the chicken fried steak sandwich. I have read many of the reviews and people say it's hand breaded but this one tastes just like a frozen pre-breaded. Probably 1 of the worst I've ever had. After spending almost $35 for one person, i couldnt even eat half of the sandwich or the onion rings. The onion rings were just ok. I think my iced tea costed $3.59 & it MIGHT BE 12 OUNCES. I WILL SAY THE CHOCOLATE CAKE IS AMAZING!!!

Amazing food. Great value. Wonderful service. We arrived around 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Got a booth for 2. Our orders were taken by 1:40. Meals arrived by 1:57. Food was delicious! We ordered the Bears Choice with eggs over medium, bacon, and cinnamon roll French toast. And we ordered The Grizz. Absolutely recommend!

I'm so absolutely disgusted and turned off I will never eat at Black Bear Diner again. We ordered The Grizz. One had sunny side up eggs and they weren't even cooked. It was so slimy and raw. The Ham was all fat the bacon was fat. The hashbrowns were either raw or burnt and had no flavor. UPDATE! : I reached out to the email they provided and guess what yall they never responded. Do yourselves a favor an steer as far away from here as possible. Such a joke. They were just trying to save face by responding to act like they care about there raw food and terrible service. 😒 They don't.

My friends and I sat at the bar area, where Jeremy was our waiter.. loved everything about our dining experience! He was very attentive and efficient! He made a very special hot chocolate (ask for oat milk as well). I ordered the chicken fried steak omelette & it was cooked to perfection! The entire staff was very sweet!

I ordered a vegetarian omelette with turkey meat. It was good, but I requested salsa to add some flavor as it seemed dry. I thought it was somewhat dry and not as moist as it could be. Nevertheless, the veggies in the omelette seemed to be fresh. I would like to see more choices of meat than pork. There was a pancake that was not as warm to hot as it could be and I had only half of it. The potatoes were delicious and seemed smothered or steamed with a few veggies. The waiter was very nice and did a number of services, while taking care of our needs in a timely manner along with a pleasant demeanor. He was an African American, stocky built young man. He never missed a beat! Kudos for outstanding care! The breakfast was pricey in comparison to similar breakfast locations. Very charming and country styled design with a black bear themed trinkets and glass enclosure of desserts to buy, such as homemade bear claws, chocolate and carrot cake at the check out counter. Overall, great location, quaint and tasty breakfast selection with a few other choices.

Lousy service and lukewarm food. A group of 7 of us came in to eat dinner. We had to ask for refills twice. The salads came out after the meal. The quality of the food was below average. They really weren't very busy. Maybe 5-6 other tables. Will not eat here again.

We had the best experience at Black Bear Diner. The server and the asst manager, Jason Pickett, both provided excellent service. The food was delicious; the prime rib had a great flavor, the ranch is a homemade bacon ranch, the sweet potato fries and the garlic fries were a perfect side and the cornbread is the best I've ever had. We ordered the banana cream pie, chocolate cream pie and the bread pudding to go, all were delicious!! I can't wait to go back for breakfast in the morning! Highly recommend if you want a relaxing environment and some perfect sweet tea!

Went here for Thanksgiving dinner (about 4:30). There specials were of course Turkey dinner but also Ham & Prime Rib. You could not order off their regular menu because they were geared up for Thanksgiving. So imagine my surprise when they didn’t have any ham or prime rib left. They were also out of salad. You would think since the regular menu wasn’t available they would make sure they had enough of the Thanksgiving fare to last until closing. The food we did get was very good.

The food was great and our Server Steven was wonderful and I love the fact that the establishment was big enough for me to go eat indoors with my motorized wheelchair
