Olympia is loaded with beautiful parks, including this gem near the capitol building. I recently visited on a brisk beautiful January afternoon. It was busy, parking was mostly full but most people were masked and kept safe distance. Great spot for dog walking and photography.

Great place to walk. Lots of grass for picnic area. There's a fountain across the street for kids to run through on a hot summer day.

Love coming here to stretch my legs and walk around the lake. During the fall is a great time to come because of the foliage and different migratory birds visiting.

Good loop to run, walk, or take the dogs to. It's a little dirty and parking is hit or miss but it seems well monitored my Police so it feels safe with the kids.

They have cleaned up the homeless encampment making it a very nice and safe place to walk and run again! Thank you for doing so!!

Would be better if not for the trash and graffiti left by druggies and hooligans. The area needs a refreshment, but the Governor and city leaders are too busy talking about being environmentalists as opposed to actually doing anything to help the environment.

I like parking here when I walk around Capitol lake. There’s usually space unless it’s a really nice day out, then it’s a hit or miss. Bathrooms and drinking fountain are nice too. Shady spots to sit and cool off before starting/finishing the loop, or halfway if you parked on the other side.

A very nice park, with public restrooms, benches spaced all around the lake, and 2 types of picnic tables, including wheelchair accessibility through the whole walking trail, and lots of places to view the ducks and geese

My absolute favorite place to walk. I am new to walking the lake and trying to do 2-3 laps a day. There are so many smiling faces and people getting healthy. Just be aware of the time of day it can get a shady at late evening.

Great place for a brisk walk. Since it's round, you can end where you started! Move scenery, too. Parking is ample along the street.

Visually: pretty and enjoyable Physically: it's pretty stinky I'm new to the area and am enjoying taking in the parks and public spaces. I really like coming here to workout because it's spacious and close so I easily give it 4 stars but it would be a 5 if it the water way didn't give off a hot trash smell. I'll still continue running around here nonetheless.

Great trail around the lake for walking, running, sunbathing and people watching. Great seasonal colors too. Ample parking on streets nearby and 3 parking lots.

Great place for a walk, run, and all sorts of fun. Bring your dog, your kid, your wife, anyone. Don't be afraid to make eye contact with strangers and say hello. You might make a friend! You'll never know unless you go, yo.

Nice little park and trailhead for a hike up the paved walkway into downtown Olympia and the Capitol. 2 hour parking limit, so walk fast!

It was good for kids to play and dogs to eat/play. At the same time we get to sit back and enjoy the environment.
