I drove up here for Harbour days. There was quite a few educational booths informing you of the technique and history of steapships, tugboats and more here. They had a sailing vessel you could reserve two hour rides on and even help with rigging the sais possibly. There was a one hundred year old, restored ship you could tour as well. One was free, the other was a $5 donation fee. The lookout tower is a great idea. You can see quite a ways to the north sound as well as to the Capital building to your south. There is a great boardwalk with restaurant s and shops connecting this port park and the one to the south. It's a leisurely five minute stroll from one to the other with rotating statuary artwork on display. There is no fee to enter the port and the farmers market is right there as well. The parking lot was free but packed. Parking a couple blocks away was easy though and street parking on weekends is free.

This is a fabulous place for personal gatherings or the occasional festivals that take place at this location. The park is well-maintained and has stunning views of the marina and at the Olympic mountains. The viewing platform is wonderful for checking out the City Of Olympia and the beautiful Puget sound.

Attended my first ever Pride at Port Plaza. It was amazing, there was so much love and acceptance in the air. I seemed to be at that awkward age however where I couldn't hang with the adults because I'm still a kid, but I couldn't hang with the kids because I'm an adult. I did end up making some friends my age however (18-21) and even saw a few people from my little rural highschool who finally accepted who they are because they were out of that homophobic environment. It was also very accepting of mental disorders, and while it wasn't very Autism Friendly, it was a beautiful area. It even rained a little, which added to the beauty for us personally.

05/13/23: what an amazing and memorable journey at this place. I had so much fun going around and discovering things. This place is near the farmer’s market so be mindful that it gets super crowded soon. I wish I could have spent more hours here. Would love to come back with my gf

Good place to get an excessive since we need to climb an easy stairs. We can see the Budd inlet at the top. There is also an amphitheater below. Classic Olympia location.

Nice views. Also a public dock. You can launch your kayak or paddle board here as well. Not too crowded. Also a nice place to hang out and have lunch and enjoy the bay.

Beautiful and clean. Cool art. Close to a lot of restaurants and cafes. I also loved climbing the tower for a better view of the scenery. (Note - the tower is only accessible by stairs, no elevator)

It's a wonderful park, beach access, close to the Market and Percival Landing, and it's even better on rainy winter days while walking the dog.

Really nice even at night with all the boats for harbor days. Unfortunately a belligerent homeless man was going around threatening people especially around the park. It is nerve wrecking walking around feeling unsafe.

Slow service, but super tasty chowder. Interesting atmosphere that was a blend of classy with too many tvs on the walls 🤷🏻‍♀️
