American Heritage campsite provides a pleasant and safe experience. The only thing that fell short is that the pool was closed. There is a safe and clean playground. The sites are clean, quiet, nicely shaded with trees and offer plenty of privacy. The manager was welcoming and helpful and even offered us small flashlights to guide our steps over a few paths with heavy tree roots at night. The laundry facility was excellent and very clean. There is a comfortable sitting area. The restrooms are well-maintained and the showers are roomy and supply plenty of hot water with adjustable temperature. I highly recommend American Heritage campsite.

Wow! What a great campground! You can tell the owner takes pride of ownership! First off, the entrance has such a welcoming feeling, then you meet the owner who makes you feel like your home from a long trip! What a gentle soul she is! The trees and grass around the camp is so well maintained. As we drove through the campsite to locate our spot, I felt as if I was driving through a magical Forrest! I wish we could have stayed longer, but we definitely will come back and stay again. Thank you Rita!

We had a bad day, and the campground was the best possible place to stop and rest. The lady at the desk was so nice and understanding. Did everything she could to help. Would highly recommend you stop in and stay awhile. Very well run. Neat and organized. As well as quiet.

Stayed here last night. Great family-owned park. Very well treed and super convenient off the I5. Did not hear any highway noise and the reception lady was awesome. Highly recommended.

Such a hidden gem! Quiet and very clean campground surrounded by beautiful trees. Lots of privacy at your site. There is a pool and a large off-leash dog park. Best bathrooms of our entire trip and free showers! The owner was so sweet and told us all about the history of the campground. We will definitely be returning!

Very nice place to camp. There's plenty of room at most sites with full hookups. It is quiet, kept clean, and feels very safe. We were very happy to see a fenced dog park for our pups and they're happy too! There's a small store to register in that has more than your normal items. Each time we go, I find a vintage treasure that I just can't live without. This park is only about 10 miles from our house but it feels like we're on a relaxing vacation each time we go. I'll take a pictures next time to share.

What a great campground! Tall beautiful trees, spacious camp sites. Extra friendly hosts and family owned! This is a wonderful spot to stay in, super close to Olympia and Seattle, we did day trips to both and it was wonderful to go from the hustle and bustle of the city to this spot, close to the freeway but not right on it like the other RV campgrounds we saw. And a nice fenced in dog area for our pup to be off leash in. Walking trails are conveniently marked with cones. This is a very clean campground and was able to accommodate our 35โ€™ 5th wheel camper no problem! We will definitely be back!

I just moved to the state of Washington, this was going to be my first campground before I got more permanent housing. And Rita (the camp owner) really made my welcome feel like this is home. Rita, thank you! You saved the day letting us stay! The campground is beautiful! Itโ€™s surrounded by trees giving each site a private feel. They have a great dog park and even a little farm in the back. The laundry facilities were clean as well as the bath houses. They also have a store that has essentials at a good price. 10/10 Iโ€™d stay here many times.

My family just stayed one night at American Heritage and had an amazing experience. The sights were clean and secluded, campground was quiet, and the bathrooms were clean and quiet with private showers. The host was so kind, she took extra time explaining all amenities at check in, and then when my children went in looking to purchase flashlights she gifted them one for every member of our family (5!). We were bummed to only stay one night and look forward to stopping by again on our return trip.

The owners, the landscape, the trees - all incredible! This is truly a special campground. Been on the road in the RV for much time now, and this has been my favorite stop to date. A true haven - if I could give more than 5 stars I would! No matter your Washington destination, try to stop and stay here.

This is beautiful privately owned campground. Very clean and well maintained. Owner has a vested interest and it really shows. Plenty of space for walking and grass to throw the ball around. Close to the I-5 and gas stations. Forgot something there's a little store. Downtown Tumwater is down the road. Go check out this little hidden ๐Ÿ’Ž gem. Pets are welcome

What a great find! We stayed for a week in September for a dog show. We were only three exits and less than 15 minutes from the show site. But we felt like we were in the woods. Towering trees, huge RV sites and a friendly family running things. Lots of space between sites. They also have huge tent sites in a separate tent area. Our dogs loved the walks through the park. Very clean laundry area and rest rooms.

Amazing place! It is so beautiful and peaceful there. Rita the owner is the most kind hearted person I've met. We had a dilemma come up and she did everything she possibly could to help us out. I cannot recommend this park enough! Hopefully we can come back in the summer.

This is a great spot! Tucked into a lovely forest; big, private sites with hook ups. If you're traveling with a pet it also has a large fenced doggie park. Rita was friendly and helpful. So glad we stopped! Thanks!

Extremely quiet, beautiful campground. Each site is private, with lots of trees and vegetation. Cute little touches are all over - gnomes and fairy touches. The dog park is huge, with a fresh water tap and bowl. Only one family is allowed in at a time, unless you agree to be in with another family. It shares a fence with a barnyard for goats and chickens. Itโ€™s a super nice family run business.

We stopped for 1 night, arrived much later than weโ€™d planned to. I cannot over emphasize just how lovely the owner was when we arrived. If youโ€™re looking for a place to stop for 1 night close to the I5, or planning to stay longer, this is your place. (And for what itโ€™s worth I hardly ever leave reviews, but this lady was just so welcoming that I had to!)

Rita and family are great to deal with and very accommodating. We camp here every time we travel the I-5. Thick forested camp ground minutes from the hi-way.

Great hospitality (friendly / easy to book), beautiful scenery, lot of spaces to choose from and clean / easy access to showers / restroom. We will definitely save as a favorite and go again.

Pretty awesome spot. We stayed in 24 and 24A. Park has a pool, playground, petting zoo. Bathrooms center of park. Showers. All in all, definitely coming back here. Great for kids because of the extra amenities. Even a little store on site!

Very nice and helpful staff. Iโ€™m doing a tear camping trip before a longer, more primitive solo camping trip out of state. Campground is perfect for this. Close to stores and supplies but off the beaten path to feel super outdoorsy.

Iโ€™m sure this place is amazing for those who are able to reserve a spot. My husband called American Heritage to reserve a spot for two nights in our bus conversion. Initially he was told they donโ€™t accept bus conversions, but that theyโ€™d make an exception for us (which we were so grateful for). When he reported what time we would be arriving (around 10:30pm), he was not told it was a set time with no wiggle room. When a gas fuel up took longer than expected and our arrival time was delayed by 30 minutes, they no longer accepted our reservation and referred us to โ€œanother rv placeโ€ but it was owned by the same people, so we werenโ€™t accepted there either. I understand RV parks have rules, but to not explain the rules and then refuse entry within 30 minutes of our arrival (when we had traveled across the country) was more than frustrating. I only hope we caught them on an off day and they communicate with future customers better than they did with us.

This RV Park is very nice and the staff was great to work with. I would highly recommend this park. However, it no longer seems reasonable in late June 2022 to have a pool closed "due to Covid 19". It is over 90 here today and the pool would be very nice.

Absolutely love this place! Lots of spacious and secluded spaces. Sites aren't all crammed next to each other. Lots of space and brush between most spots. We live close and have been coming here for many years for an easy and relaxing getaway. Never had a bad stay here!!!

Excellent campground! Conveniently located just far enough off the freeway. Beautiful campsite, nice and quiet, great for a family camping spot. The playground was a big hit with my 7 year old, as was exploring the big field and seeing the goat. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. Did not use the laundry facilities or showers, but they looked to be in great shape! The folks running the campground were incredibly friendly and helpful. The fairy garden near the front office was very cute and also a hit with my kiddo. Would definitely go back to camp there again.

This is such a lovely camping spot, sites are fairly private and surrounded by big trees, yet you're so close to neighboring cities Tumwater and Olympia. Host Rita is so kind and thoughtful. Bathrooms are secure and very clean. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful campground. The people here are super friendly, beautiful wooded site, and decent wifi at the front. Very easy to get to and handy to get back on the hwy or into town.

Great campground! Set in a wooded setting with lots of space between sites for privacy. Free clean showers, laundry on site, AT&T had service. We called grandson Dylan 2 hours out and were able to get a much needed spot. They do not take a deposit in advance and go by honor system so if cancellation is necessary please give them plenty of advance notice. Checked in with owner, Rita. Family owned for 45 years. Very reasonable price for full hookups. This is a well maintained campground. Loved our stay!

๐Ÿ˜  Our family has been camping here for 10+ years and the last 2 years things have changed dramatically. There has been an up surge in pricing, they suddenly changed their car limit and stated this change was on the website (we triple checked it wasnโ€™t) and the sites are brutal, literal dirt pits.
