Excellent latte, friendly and fast service, reasonable price...Herkimer Coffee sets a high bar for local coffee chains. There was a short line when I arrived in the morning but it moved very fast as there were three baristas working to handle the crowd and they were very professional in what they do. Definitely appreciate that! This location has several tables inside and a nice corner window with bar stools. Lovely seats outside in the street as well.

Herkimer is a verified Seattle treasure. I’ve frequented both the Dexter and this Phinney Ridge location quite a bit and have always found the coffee consistently delicious and the service exemplary (at both locations). Mostly I’ve ordered their espresso in various forms and cold brew and have never regretted it. The staff has great attention to detail, knows their stuff and works hard to deliver a great product. I want to give them high-fives, but there’s a pandemic, so five stars it is. A trip to Herkimer is often the highlight of my day!

Still on my best cold brew/cafe in Seattle journey, but this greenwood Herkimer location is def the top spot so far. Great flavor and balance in their cold brew, and there is something very warm and welcoming about this spot. Service has always been friendly and fast, with genuine (you will read this word often in my reviews, as it is the barometer I use to judge service!) people ready to take care of you! Really happy they are back open for dine in, hope we can keep that up!

Really great coffee, delicious pastries, and kind staff. This place is popular so there might be a long line when you arrive, but the staff are pretty good at moving it along quickly. Windows are perfect for people watching and playlist was great the day I went in. I’ll be back for sure!

The coffee roast is really good. Go to this place for espresso or coffee forward drinks. But anything else is just bad. The milk frothing was abysmal. No decent syrups. While I didn’t ask, this is the sort of place that probably uses Hersheys chocolate syrup for their mochas. The place is hot and stuffy in summers, with tons of mosquitoes. Good music choice, but that’s subjective of course.

Heard a lot about this place. I ordered a mocha. It was okay. The best part is that the prices are reasonable compared to other coffee places.

Cute shop and great tasting coffee, but the staff was so loud! I love that they are friendly with each other, but all the customers were either heads down in their books or working on a laptop. The staff was the only ones chatting, which is okay—I just wish they would gauge the room and lower their voice a little bit! It’s an open space so their voices are amplified.

Great local roaster. Perfect spot for a variety of single origin, freshly roasted beans. Well made lattes and macchiatos. They have a good stock of pastries sourced from a local bakery. This location is extremely busy. Expect to wait in a line throughout much of the morning and early afternoon. Much respect to all the staff for handling what seems like a nonstop rush!

I thought this chain was the epitome of coffee atmosphere. The cappuccino I got wasn’t the best: the espresso was okay and the milk was over steamed for oat milk BUT that being said I would still recommend it. The food looked great, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Sometime oat milk can be hard to work with so I would still check this place out! Plus the neighborhood is adorable!

Visiting from Texas, this was our daily walk stop even twice a day for our coffee/tea energy refill! Great staff

I loved the atmosphere. It was clean inside and the we equipment looked well kept. I had ordered a single coffee without waiting in a line and got it in about a minute. The lady behind the counter was kind. The coffee was good and even had a fancy leaf foam design on top. The coffee was not burnt and was what I ordered. The bathroom was clean and well kept.

It is a big big luxury to have coffee shop with a huge roasting machine in the back. Huge difference. I can’t compare the quality to anything. Thank you for providing this experience, it is priceless. This is more of a coffee foundation than a roaster and coffee shop. Great talent, good quality beans and investment in high quality equipment! EXCELLENCE ***** FIVE STARS

The worst latte Iv ever had in my life. All I could taste was the almond milk, no coffee and no caramel taste at all. I don’t even know if they made it right. I just went home and made a pot of Starbucks drip coffee- I was so disappointed. Also, if you plan on studying here while you enjoy whatever it is they put in your cup, just know they have a time limit of one hour. Not a fan, first and last time visitor.

Delicious cold brew and I love that they warm up the honey so it’s not just a lump at the bottom of your cold brew. Yes, I like honey in my coffee - stay away from sugar. Anyway, I digress. The baristas are always so friendly! Love the vibe and all the window seats. Great place to do some work or meet up with a client / friends.

Just had the best eggnog latte here! I love this cozy neighborhood coffee shop. Friendly service, fantastic coffee and pastry selection and warm and inviting.

Best coffee in Seattle and far from the most expensive. Multiple amazing single origin drip selections hot and ready all the time, and even more fresh roasted beans available in bags. I've tried them all and the blend is still my favorite. Plus the people are all really cool and friendly.

Had a great tasting macchiato and equally tasty discounted after 4pm chocolate cookie. Will be back!

I tried this because a friend told me it was the best in Seattle. I ordered an Americano because I always get that to compare more evenly across coffee shops. It really wasn't very good. It was quite bitter. I took a bag of drip blend beans home. They're also quite bitter. After I ordered my server mention that their specialty is lighter roasts and I had ordered darker roasts. So based on my single experience, if you like darker roasts you should still go with one of their boutique lighter roasts here because that's probably where their reputation comes from. Also, it was pretty crowded. I was actually going to go order something else more in line with their specialties, but then by the time my drink came there were seven more people in line. Update: my wife's assessment after a blind taste test, she also thought it was overly bitter and acidic.

Always my espresso stop when in Seattle. An espresso lover’s espresso place. No compromise on product or technique. Plus my afternoon cortado was correctly served with a glass of chilled sparkling water.

My favorite neighborhood coffee shop, I come here several times every week and they make the best on-site roasted coffee in the city. The baristas are always super friendly and the place has a great vibe. Definitely recommended!

Espresso is unbeatable, the best in Seattle by far! Great baristas, delicious pastries, and they always are playing killer music. Can’t recommend enough

Loved my latte. It wasn't too strong or too milky. It was done just right for my taste. People were friendly. I will return for another cup of coffee when I am in the area next time.

Pretty good coffee. But I usually just buy whole beans. And the line is consistently 10-15 people deep. Other shops sell this brand of coffee around Seattle if you must have it.

Bombin' Baked Goods and Brewed Beverages: To get it out of the way, the only reason I am giving this place 4 stars out of 5 is that they do not have hot apple cider or hot cocoa. Normally understandable, but when we asked about either we received a snide response from the person helping us out at the counter. Not good. What were far more than good are the goods from their bakery. You will only be disappointed that you did not buy more. They are the perfect mix of not too moist but not too dry with a solid set of choices to make. While I don't know if we will be returning here for drinks, I can definitely see us doing a To Go order of their baked delights.

Excellent Cup of coffee. Arguably one of the best cups you will find in the city. Super friendly and helpful service. Great local coffee shop vibes. People love sitting in and enjoying the art by local artists and the views of the roasting process. I recommend getting a cup and a bag of beans for later.
