Elmwood Park is one of my favorites in the Omaha area. As a photographer I can achieve many different looks here. The stairs make for some really elegant portraits and the wooded area makes for great pathway and is a good way to incorporate some leading lines

Nice park near the middle of the city. It's roundabout to get to the nearest parking. But there are walking paths that lead to various picturesque vistas and other connected activity areas. The play has assorted children's toys that belong to the park. There are so many that it feels a little crowded. But it didn't seem like the kids noticed. There is also an adjacent outdoor fitness area.

Beautiful and big enough for family picnic and fun. It has plenty of picnic benches, trails to bike and walk, kids play area, exercise area, unpaved trails with bridges and stairs, playground and restroom too. Enough parking space. Near it there is a swimming pool area. Overall nice park for spending leisure time with family and friends.

This park is located east of 72nd and approximately two blocks south of Dodge text to University of Nebraska at Omaha. The park offers two sides to park on. The park provides walking trails picnic area playground baseball field a couple of areas to barbecue and porta potties for using the bathroom. This park is clean and well maintained. Parking lots are predominant use by the students attending college at UNO

Perfect place to spend an afternoon outside. The children’s playground has so many activities, toys and structures for the littles. The huge trees provide great shade and the open grass areas are perfect for frisbee, a picnic or chasing your 2 year old around. Busy place but enough space for many.

This is a lovely park. I loved the wedding grotto. The wedding I attended there in September had butterflies and dragonflies flitting about. The two separate entrances made for an interesting entrance for the bridal party. If using this area, I recommend a large sign in the parking area and someone to stay on the parking lot level to discourage (people who don't know a wedding is going on from) raucous behavior and parking loud trucks/busses near by.

Beautiful and clean. The locals keep this place clean and enjoyable for kids and adults of all ages. Perfect open atmosphere to relax or play in the park. There are toys to play with and a huge play area for the kids, it certainly has grown since my childhood. The Elmwood trail is still as beautiful as ever, and the summer I spent with my father rerouting the water under bridge helped prevent damage to the creek.

Great family park for picnics and get togethers. Lots of room to set up a volleyball net. There's a baseball field a park and a nice trail. And there's also a pool. Last time we were there a guy in a Kona ice truck pull up and gave everybody free snow cones.

It's a big park with a lot of space for everything to do. I love it here. You have golf courses if you are a golfer; Baseball ground for both kids and adults; children playground, picnic area with chairs and tables; workout area; and jogging or biking trail. Overall, it's a very lovely park to enjoy your summer in Omaha. Also, it's within University of Nebraska at Omaha, so you can see many students enjoying their time and studying along side. It's a very happy and happening place to go to. PS Also, as it's big, there may be some safety concerns (have seen UNO pass many public safety concern time and again), being alert should be a goal.

I did my niki coach app run here and it was nice, shady, clean, and lots of interesting things to see and do. There is a playground for kids, a workout area with equipment, hiking, swimming. Will definitely go back and do some hiking. Close by shopping and UNO college.

I photographed a wedding here in the summer of 2017. The park was clean, the grotto was lush, and everything went beautifully! I would love to photograph many more weddings here...it was straight out of a wooded fairyland!

It's at a very central location, with walking and hiking trails. Also great for Pokemon Go. Plenty of playgrounds, and events for kids. People keep to each other and aren't a bother.

Great park for all things outdoors. We love the pool in the summer. The trails and playground all year long. The playground has the best selection of toys in the warm months and great climbing features for the kids.

Elmwood Park is a established park and caters to all different people and children. They even had a public pool towards the north side of the park. There are trails, a playground, shade and a grotto. I enjoy going here by myself, for events, or with the family.

  • 5/5 Lyndsey J. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful park! I love this place, great, beautiful tree filled area with natural trails; with a creek running through it. A public pool, plenty of picnic tables, shade, nice big playground, passage under bridge with fountain and beautiful surroundings, work out equipment/area; built Into the ground, with cushioned area under it (like some playgrounds have). Awesome!!! Birds, geese, rabbits, squirrels, deer & frogs to be seen; some you have to be looking for to notice at times.

It’s a cute park with plenty of green space (given that it’s a park) and benches. There is also a pool which is great for children. There is a golf course as well! It’s a nice place to enjoy a leisurely stroll, jog, or just drive through.

Walking trails connect to neighborhood sidewalks. Lots of open space. I saw portable restrooms, not sure how usable they are.

This is my son and I's absolute favorite spot to go when the weather permits us to. Lots of friendly people and their children, so my son has kids to play with, and the park is great! Suitable for all ages and there's a walking or biking path, outdoor exercise equipment, and picnic tables and grills for the warmer months! Even better the park itself is clean, there's not a lot of trash, and for the most part the people it attracts are decent! We'll be back, no doubt about it!!

  • 5/5 big c. 1 year ago on Google
Comes with toys for the kids to play with! Very clean and beautiful park with trails and plenty of shade. Great park for kids and adults. Grilling area s as well

  • 3/5 Jennifer L. 11 months ago on Google
Feels waaay too crowded. It is hard to find the play area if you are not familiar with the UNO college campus. Google maps doesn't help well until you get into the park itself by the golf course.

So fun. Perfect for toddlers. Plenty of toys to go around. Plenty of shade. A good number of well-placed benches. This is just one small corner of the park-- the rest was overrun with littles! :)

  • 4/5 Lisa C. 3 years ago on Google
Better signage regarding the fitness equipment would be helpful. Theres a sign but it's easy to ignore. The fitness equipment is for adults and kids ages 14+. When a 3-5 year old smashes their finger because their adult saw no difference between a playground and bodyweight resistance equipment, there will be a sign that said they shouldn't have let the kid use the stuff to begin with. Wont stop that the equipment will be lost for those that need it though.

Great place for some spectacular Fall pictures for all you photographers or aspiring artists

  • 5/5 Ashlee K. 3 years ago on Google
Very fun park with equipment for every age of kid and even fitness equipment for adults. The walking paths seem clean and maintained well. There are a lot of shade trees and the park is sand with some rubber top. There is a large selection of dump trucks and other sand toys for kids to play with as well. The bathrooms are currently locked but there are large portables available. The park has several picnic areas with grills available for rent as well.

This park is beautiful. With many trees and open space to play and enjoy being outdoors. We picked up some sandwiches and drinks and had a quick family picnic. With covid we spread out social distancing to talk eat and enjoy being together. With 3 children having birthdays in the coming weeks, they each got birthday gifts. A great way to be together and be safe Please be safe and wear a mask.

Good place to sit and do thinking on a stressful day or great scenery lots of things to do like walk the trails or bring the kids to play on a warm day

  • 4/5 Brandon L. 4 years ago on Google
One of my favorite parks to go for a walk. Plenty of path and a lot of trees with even a short little trail through them. This place can get incredibly busy in the summer. The large groups of younger druggies in the parking lot make me uneasy sometimes, but they've never actually been a bother; probably just enjoying the free parking and green views. I enjoy the side by Dodge with the sounding stones the best; always quiet, lowered from the street and the stones make a great place to sit and read.

During the day time there a lot of cool things to see if you are wanting to go for a walk with your dog or by yourself. When it's warm you get to see things like cosplay, sword fighting, people playing cricket, and lots of other things. People are quite active at this park. Excellent pokemon Go trail too.

It's got plenty of trees for shade, a creek running through there, lots of little trails through the woods, a play ground, plenty of picnic tables & numerous parking lots through out the large park. It's even a popular spot for weddings. It's beautiful! Very peaceful! Fun to enjoy for ALL ages!
