It was difficult to sleep due to the noisy environment. I had no cooperation to solve the problem. The only justification I got from reception is that the streets are noisy and nothing can be done about it.

Loved it though it does lack on some services considering it's a 4 star hotel ... no porter, only one receptionist, narrow corridors and lots of stairs. It's an excellent destination in Brugge if you don't carry a lot of luggage or big suitcases like we often do. My usual comment: would I come again? YES but with less anticipation

Positive first: nice and helpful staff, clean room, good marketing Imagine a time travel back to the mid 80s. Back in these days it maybe had a 4Star ranking. The actual interior is outdated and worn out (flea market atmosphere of a student's home with rich grandparents). No standard in 2022! They have also safety issues. A stair was closed (broken) and could not be used as an emergency exit. Sustainability is also not a thing. Rooms overheated, plastic mess for breakfast and towels are changed daily. Overall: overpriced poor ux! But the staff is very friendly!

Location is perfect, service is excellent, breakfast is outstanding in a wonderful quaint room with lit candles with a view on the canal. Bigger room than expected. Nice italian showers. We loved it.

2 night stay in this characterful hotel. Staff were excellent and willing to help. Close enough to the centre of town to make everything walkable, great if you're partaking of a few of the local beers. That being said, it's far enough away from the main area to be quiet at night. Fantastic stay and definitely recommend..large spacious room with a huge bed.

Lovely place. Set off main area but short walk into centre. Breakfast on dear side we found cafe's lot cheaper. Be aware of hotel tax not included in price. 4 euros per head per night.

What a charming hotel! Our room on the top floor overlooks the canal. It's a great location walking distance to the city center and walk to the opposite direction to the wind mills. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel captures the aged beauty of Bruges whilst still offering modern amenities. The decor and garden, especially the entrance is breathtaking and rooms are spacious and clean. Despite being an old building, the bathrooms are recently renovated and super spacious as well. It’s also in an excellent location, close to all the main attractions and most of all the service is impeccable! Highly recommend!

Nice hotel, right in the middle of town. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Price isnt bad for the location. Breakfast was great with plenty to offer, they serve from 7 till 10.30 but the day we checked out we left at 6 and the made us a pack lunch which really helped us out. Fantastic service

The best hotel we stayed in during a multi-week Europe trip! It was such a pleasant experience that we extended our stay from three to four nights within 12 hours of reaching. Located about a 10 min walk from the town center and right on the banks of the canal, this hotel offers the best of both worlds - Calm and pretty location and easy access to the town. The rooms are very spacious - enough to fit an extra single bed for a kid, couple of single seater couches, and then lots of space to walk around. The outdoor space was also relaxing with a well maintained garden! The service is outstanding. It is a pity we forgot the name of the staff who was at the reception who patiently provided us plenty of detail on things to do and places to be from a local’s perspective. Can’t wait to be back there!

Excellent stay for us - we booked a family room and we’re upgraded to the executive suite without even asking. The staff were courteous and very helpful. Location is fantastic - moments away from the centre of Brugge but far enough to avoid large crowds of tourists The hotel has a great parking about 5 min walk away which is much easier to get into than other parking garages in Brugge (previously have spent 20 mins trying to enter small hotel parking in Brugge)

This was my favorite hotel room we stayed in during a several-week trip in Europe. We booked the library suite, which was SPACIOUS and beautiful. The bed was comfortable, we had a great little sitting area by the windows overlooking the canal, and I liked that there was a separate WC from where the shower was. The hotel was less than a 10 min walk from the main town square, and the staff were kind and helpful. I will note that while there is a small elevator, the building is quite old and not all rooms are accessible without a few steps. For example, our room was up about 3-4 steps up from where the elevator was. I’m also not sure if there was an entrance that didn’t require climbing a few steps. If this is a non-starter for you, I’d recommend inquiring with the hotel before booking.

Right in the old town, this historic hotel was beautiful and right on the canal too. We took a taxi from the train station and took the bus back to the station a couple days later. It was very well located, warm, cozy, and had lots of charm. Expensive but worth the price, especially if you can get a deal on Priceline.

Room had a lack of fresh air ventilation and it was very noisy with street traffic on the cobbled road outside. The breakfast and staff were excellent.

Good location 5-10 min walk from the historic center we ve got canal view room with great views but cleaning and maintenance problems were encountered. Damaged our experience and the sense of living in an old and traditional style mansion

Room and bed were huge. Clean and comfortable. Lovely view on the canal from room windows.

Lovely hotel, a great location very close to the centre. Clean, comfy, and spacious rooms. Eline checked us in and was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the area, she was very welcoming and friendly!

Nice hotel. It could use some updates and nicer towels but the staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent! Great location!

The hotel is close to the center, there is an air condition in the rooms, the rooms are big, the bed is comfortable and it is clean. The stuff is friendly and pleasnt 🙂

We didn’t stay in this hotel unfortunately, but we promise that it’s gonna be our next hotel in Brugge. The 2 people who were in the reception on Sunday the 16th of October, were the best help ever. Not only they helped us to get a taxi, they also were so efficient because that day was very difficult to get one because of the Marathon. We didn’t get that help in our Hotel, which is nearby with a similar rating. Thank you VERY MUCH! For your help guys, we do appreciate what you did for us. And for the 10 mins that we were inside, will be enough to choose as our next family trip hotel.

We did not have a room that was shown on the website. They are miss leading. We paid $250 a night for a suite. Our room was horrible. We were in a converted Attic with all slanted walls. The furniture was old and cracked. The bed was like a rock and so uncomfortable. The towels were so thin, rough and hurt. The pillow were the size of throw pillows. The blanket had lumps and clumps of down in spots. The carpet was so ugly. We did NOT have a four star room. Maybe a 2.5. We were so disappointed. I recommend finding another hotel. There are many other beautiful hotels. Don’t reply with your typical defensive response. Yeah, we hade a nice tv. You need to remodel the room!!! I don’t recommend your hotel.

We loved our room. The windows opened to the canal and the view was magical. Such a lovely experience. Would highly recommend getting a room with the canal view. It's so worth it!! The staff was very helpful as well.

The staff was friendly and professional to us. The entrance hall and ground floor were very beautiful; the room on the other hand was extremely dusty, the utilities were outdated and the room in general was very small. The room was nothing like the pictures that were shown to us while booking our stay and we could not access some of the utilities (we payed for those utilities to be in the room). This was by far the most unpleasant and uncomfortable stay we’ve ever had by far. thoroughly disappointed.

The inside of the building was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Although some places would need to be remodeled or keep it fresh and prevent any injuries. I didn’t like the room we stayed at; it wasn’t very hygienic. The room was nothing like it was giving in the pictures, there was dust everywhere like the room has been sitting there for weeks, the bathroom such as the sink the bathtub was clean and not as expected from a 4 star hotel.

Very nice hotel located closely to the centre of the old town. Clean and well-decorated rooms, super friendly staff. Generally, not your standard hotel but with a special traditional/ vintage touch. Also liked the small courtyard/ garden in the back. Only things I can think of that could have been done better is a bit more choice at the breakfast buffet and a slightly better noise insulation. That said, the night I spent was quite calm and I slept very well.

Dont go for the rooms outside, the road can get too noisy through out the night either busy with traffic or people. Very damaged furniture, incredible that it is being used even looking so mistreated.

Great little hotel, centrally located and with a certain charm that suits this city. The creaky staircase to the first floor is probably older than the US Constitution, why it's not surprising that Americans leave gushing comments in the guestbook. :-) Anyone arriving by car should reserve a space in the nearby underground car park, otherwise parking is bad and the car should not be oversized. The breakfast buffet is small but tasty and the butter croissants don't have the word "butter" in their name for nothing. If I were to go to Bruges again, I would check into this hotel again.

Wonderfully located and very charming hotel, very fitting of Bruges. I felt like a lady in 1920. I took a long nice bath in the beautiful bathroom and enjoyed my stay and the utterly friendly staff. The charm of this hotel is that they don't try to mix modern with elegant, they just go for elegant. This is very much appreciated. Thank you so much for this amazing homebase whilst in Bruges.

Came here for my partners 30th and had a lovely time. Hotel is central with a classic design, staff were really accommodating and the room was spacious and very well priced.

😠 DO NOT EAT HERE!! Disgusting, unsafe. This restaurant should be shut down. The Head Chef had his fingers in his mouth and was picking his teeth with his fingernail, then handling people’s food with his bare hands. Then another chef kept touching his face and hair before touching people’s food, then...
