It's a wide open park with lots of free parking there is also a community pool and a large baseball diamond. lots of open space for barbecues and 2 main trails for running the West trail leads back to the city and the East trail leaves towards the Santa Ana river trail. The park is safe clean and inviting. Update. 10/2019: still a lovely park to visit and hang out. During the day... be careful on the further edges of the park ie..the freeway area... a few homeless people will be in this area...often asking for handouts or soliciting help. Careful restrooms. Don't go alone...shady people are sometimes found here. Careful with people riding bikes at high speed, those with backpacks and regular clothes... often can be hazardous when walking along sidewalks.

Great place to go for a quick run whether you're looking to run east or west this parks trails will take you there. One cool thing about Hart Park is the trail that goes under glassell st and the 22 bride on over to Santiago Park in city of Santa Ana. I highly recommend taking someone with if u decide to take that trail. Towards the back of the park I love the uphill action towards the football field. The park is always being maintained by groundskeepers. Ideal location for BBQ.

An attractive green space park with playgrounds, baseball fields, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, horseshoes and a pool! There’s an historic community center, amphitheater, picnic spots, group gathering areas and restrooms available. Paved pathways provide a nice walking, jogging or bike riding experience! There’s also the Santa Ana Creek Trail with paved, thru to the northeast and dirt trail, past the south end of the park in Santa Ana. I’ve been here when part of the creek flows thru the Hart parking lot, with cars having to straddle the dip, the lowest part of the park. It could be a problem returning to vehicle doors with the passing water. The small amount of water isn’t normally a problem, just an occasional shallow inconvenience to be aware of. Also my partiality with nature gives way here to the busy 22 Freeway, a constant reminder that we’re never too far from the busyness of the O.C.

The park used to be nicer.. since they removed and cut a lot of trees it doesn't look the same.. there are a lot of homeless and gays looking around for dating other guys.. the park also is under construction and is taking longer than spected

Popular for parties, sand volleyball, and baseball. They also have a horseshoe setup, community pool, and tennis courts. The recreational areas are well lit, the playground is in good condition, the bathrooms are usable and have one drinking fountain. There are quite a few tables in the main seating area, also barbeques and some sinks, though the covered area is small. A few tables are also further down the path for small groups. This is definitely a community park, always in use with its own peak times. Community music events are held in the summer and the park connects with the Santiago Creek Reserve.

There is a lot of space, many picnic tables, a set of playground equipment, a public pool, a horseshoe club, and much more. I've only explored the north half of the park. I recommend for you to check out the south part and let me know what you think! The parking for this local park is located in the middle, sort of like an emergency riverbank in case of flood. There are bike paths beyond the parking lot that does look like dried riverbed (well, more like a small creek than a river). I haven't explored the bike paths, but I recommend for you to try and let me know how it goes! This park has building that are as old as 1930s. It is very well maintained and well manicured. Great for a date or family getherings as there are many green areas and roses along the north side of the park (north of the community pool). I'd return again to explore the south part of the park or even the bike paths during the day with family!

This is one of my favorite spots to go hang out at! Huge park with all kinds of activity areas! Wednesday evenings "concerts in the park" are always tons of fun! Beautiful place to relax and dance!

Nice park with baseball fields, a walking and biking path, picnic tables, and a link to the Santiago Creek trail, which you can take to around Mainplace Mall/Discovery Cube, or vice-versa

A lot of activities and programs here to do. My kids love going to their swimming classes here plus there's a hiking trail, baseball fields and a stage where they hold summer concerts for the public. It's great 👍🏽

The Orange Police have cleaned out the large number of homeless and the park is awesome without them ruining the place. There are lots of baseball fields, picnic tables, BBQ's and bathrooms.

Still a great place to go, except when it's been raining heavily then parking isn't so comfortable 😁. Pleasant ball fields. Tight parking when baseball and football is going on. Well kept facilities.

This park is big, but because it runs into neighborhood streets it seems small and quaint! The best of both worlds! We go to relax and have a picnic & ready or just chill. We started during Covid and still go when we can. It was a perfect place to be for Mother's day! There are also baseball fields (Chapman University's Baseball team plays here) Plenty of picnic tables and big trees for shade, a playground & lawn bowling too! Love it!!

I recall my parents taking me to Hart and we would make it a full day there. The grass is nice and green, trees are nicely trimmed, the entire park looks great and no problems with parking. Last week my fiance and I went to be a couple lazy bodies under our favorite tree. Little did we know there was a concert scheduled for that evening. If course we stayed and listened to the tunes...it turned out to be a perfect day. Thank you staff of Hart Park.

I don’t feel safe there without my husband! I had my children participate in the swimming lessons and my family has visited the park to use the playground and tennis courts, but the amount of homeless men roaming around leaves me feeling uncomfortable. There is a group of 7-12 men who camp out about 10 feet from the small children’s playground. There is a homeless man or woman resting within 2-10 feet of nearly every staircase. Some of these homeless people (on bikes or in cars) openly light up & smoke pot in front of families with children. There is no way of knowing if any of these people are predators. The worst part is that I have never seen a security guard or police officer walk around this park. I don’t recommend visiting this park alone—always have 2 adults.

Large, versatile park in Orange with many amenities. There are tennis courts, horseshoe rinks, beach volleyball courts, swimming pools, barbecues, softball and baseball fields, football field with snack bar and bleachers, walking paths and plenty of room and tables. Great place to play games, host events or just be in the park and enjoy the outdoors.

Really nice park but getting more and more dangerous. Lots of homeless people and some look like addicts and some have huge knives. Scary stuff to see. Be really careful at all times.

We had a large group picnic. Good place for a large event. Plenty of tables for three or four dozen people. Easy access and plenty of parking.

This is a very nice park when I go to this park I always start on South Cambridge Street there is a walking trail from the bridge that goes to the park it has nice scenery. Also it has a very nice baseball field I like the hills the restrooms by the baseball field look nicer than the ones by the playground for some reason! The playground's nice it's always filled with kids They have a lot of picnic benches and tables to eat at for sure by the parking lot and they also have a bridge to cross when you're walking I also notice they have tennis courts and a volleyball area overall it's pretty decent park for an old park They keep it up nicely I wish my park as old as it is was as nice as this one!

A nice park! There are 3 baseball fields and a big grass field for many activities! It is a great place for some relaxation and fun outside. Bike paths, benches, shady trees and many tables are also available. Often quite a few people are there doing their own thing :) a fun place!

Cool little park. Quite a few homeless people live here, but the playgrounds are nice. There's swim lessons in the pool during the summer.

This is a well know HUGE park in Orange. Orange is known as the city of trees. The park has multiple areas and plenty of parking and room to roam. There’s a baseball Diamond. Kids areas. BBQs. Picnic areas with tables. A swimming pool. A bandstand. It’s truly a treasure of the city. Come enjoy the great outdoors. You will be glad you did!
