Customer service was horrible. Staff didn’t care about concerns and did nothing to rectify room problems. Had no water on check out day and they didn’t provide a temp bracelet on check out day…if you book all-inclusive, they require you to pay for the check out day but take your bracelet (other resorts offer a temp bracelet the day of check out). We we most frustrated with paying $800+ for the last day while missing out on plans due to waiting for water to shower. We had to leave without a shower and went to another resort for water and food, while staff didn’t care, manager said sorry you’re not getting any money back. The 2 days we didn’t think we had hot water and the staff kept telling us they’d check it but it wasn’t until we met and asked our neighbors if they had hot water…turns out the hot and cold were backwards and it took 5-10 minutes for it to warm up when you turned it to the cold setting. Shuttles to the other resorts took 15-20 minutes and if you book all inclusive you have to shuttle to the others or plan to give yourself 20-35 minutes to walk. When we checked out, I asked for a receipt and they printed a statement with a $0 balance. I asked for a breakdown and they said they couldn’t provide that because that comes out of their North Carolina office?? We wasted at least half a day trying to figure out these problems and I’ll have to spend more time after the trip trying rectify some of the issues. I would never stay at the Divi Dutch again and would highly recommend others to go else where. Don’t waste your time and money on a place that doesn’t care about their guests.

This is what I would call a No frills timeshare we exchanged into. Ths biggest pluses are that it's not all-inclusive so you can get different foods and you're on the beach. That said, the beach is not the best as you have to wear swim shoes or expect to get cuts on your feet. We stayed in a studio "ocean view". There are NO elevators and we were on the 3rd, top floor. Third floor is the only way to get that ocean view! They have 3 large pool centrally located. Only one has a swim up bar. There are No on-site restaurants. You have to go over to Divi Golf Resort or down by the casino to get eats. There is a grocery store Ling & sons within 2 block and was an easy walk.

This place was great for a all-inclusive. Price was great and it include the other two Divi Aruba that were nearby with trolley to bring you back and forth. The cleaning service was great as well as all the customer service that was provided there. I can't talk enough about the customer service besides it being one of the greatest. The location was amazing as the beach was right there. Definitely worth doing a all inclusive here in Aruba!

Room was large with a kitchenette. We found underwear upon arrival under the side table. Not ours. All inclusive package allowed us to eat at the tiki bar on site. Excellent breakfast and lunch. Had to take a shuttle to the beach at Divi all inclusive. The beach at this resort is all big rocks.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this resort. Everyone on the staff was amazing, the room was exactly like the picture and when I walked in it was more than I could imagine. Our room was 30 steps away from the pool. The pool was well maintained. The shuttle service was out of this world. The staff made us laugh with every interaction. I can't say enough good things about it. People's reviews made me question my choice but I am glad I took a chance. The price was great also for what you get.

The room had mold, in need of major overhaul, staff not so pleasant, most things broken don’t work, curtains are stained and gross. There is not a beach front anymore due to erosion. Have stayed here multiple times over the past 20 years but will never return. The housekeeping staff was amazing.

Nice size room, comfy bed, great showers; kitchenette is fully equipped. Con: not much to do on the property, swim bar is not worth it. Pro: nice room size, nice pool, connected to Tamarijn & enjoy their amenities.

Comfortable stay, especially if you have kids. Walking distance supermarket and dinings. There is a shuttle system that is included to provide easy transportation throughout Divis. The only cons is there is no elevator where we stayed which made things a little difficult. Would definitely stay in again👍

Been to multiple propertys in Aruba. The Divi All Inclusive is the best. Came with my family, 8 total. Easy to eat and play. Food was amazing. Highly recommend.

My husband and I travel quite a bit. I had heard so many good things about going to Aruba. While Aruba is beautiful, it wasn't my favorite but I would definitely return. We stayed at Divi Dutch which is a very small part of the Divi community. The room was huge, very clean, and comfortable. The tiki bar had very good food and also great service. Shirley was awesome! The bunker bar also had good service. My biggest complaint is that there is no beach service, no room service, and no one stocks your room with coffee or water. You must go and get your drinks yourself and if you want anything in your room you have to buy it. I had to go down to the buffet in order to get my morning coffee. I would have preferred it on my balcony. I understand this is first world problems however every all-inclusive resort I have ever been to has beach and room service and coffee in the room. Take your own cup to carry. There are refillable stations for water all over the resort. They will also fill up your cup with alcohol if that's what you want. Booking the restaurants can be somewhat difficult. The concierge line seems to be always busy. They only let you book 48 hours in advance. So if you go, definitely book as far in advance as possible. The food was actually very good overall. I have no complaints about the food, the service, or the drinks. If you go, definitely go on the UTV tour. It was absolutely amazing! I will include pictures. It was so much fun and it was a great way to tour the island! We did go into town and walk around. We also took the trolley. It's very quaint. If you want to swim, you should probably have beach shoes. The sand under the water is very sharp because it's coral. They did have entertainment every night and you do have access to the other resorts. My favorite night was karaoke night. All in all, we had a great time on our vacation. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Love the island not sure about the resort. Rooms a bit worn. No ocean view. Front desk not helpful. Lots of sea weed. But loved the quiet resort. Rented a car and explored. Did not do the all inclusive so we tried many local places out. Loved the grills. Went to the grocery for our snacks, breakfast, alcohol and mixers and a few of our dinners. Will decently return just May try a different Divi next time.

This is our fourth time staying at this resort, so obviously there’s a lot we live about it! The suite rooms are large and comfortable, it really feels like a home away from home. We love being able to walk next door to Ling and Sons to buy groceries and have coffee and make breakfast and lunch and some drinks in our room, which has a well equipped kitchen. The property itself is well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. Rooms are generally clean, beds are moderately comfortable. We really enjoy the relaxed vibe of this resort but if you’re looking for a party, you’ll have to head further down the beach to one of the other Divi properties. The beach here is beautiful and only steps away! The shoreline is ever changing but of course the resort can’t help that. A few years ago there wasn’t a rock in site, this time we had to wear water shoes to wade in comfortably. Not a huge deal in my opinion, but there are three pools on ground that rarely feel crowded if that’s more your thing! Staff at the Tiki Bar are wonderful, hardworking, and friendly. The other staff at this hotel could take a note from them. We found the guest service on this stay to be very lackluster. We are not picky and didn’t ask for much but when we did need something no one ever showed and there was never any follow up. The woman working the front desk at Dutch Village was quite rude on several occasions. We didn’t let that ruin anything for us but don’t expect to find help with anything here if you need it. Overall, I would still recommend this property if what you’re looking for is a relaxing beach vacation at a decent price. We will keep coming back unless the service continues to deteriorate!

Just spent 9 days here, room only. Room was very nice with pool/garden view on 2nd floor. There was some traffic noise from the busy street (sirens on emergency vehicles and idiots revving their engines and squealing their tires) and we had to hang a blanket over the opaque glass bathroom door to block the exterior light at night because it was way too bright for sleeping. Also, had efficiency so we bought groceries at Ling's and made our breakfasts and lunches in our room and ate on our balcony - this was very nice. Dinners were all at locations around Manchebo resort and the casino , and they were all very good. We tried to eat at one of the Divi restaurants but were told we had to buy a "ticket" for $45USD each, so we skipped that. Resort employees were very helpful and nice. Only had one non-critical issue with one person who's English was not very good. Resort area was very safe at night and shuttles were very handy for getting around. Due to COVID, we estimated that the capacity was around 30% so it was very quiet and we could get a beach or pool lounger at any time of day. Drulf beach is very nice. There are some areas where there are rocks and shells/coral but if you walk along for a few more yards there are areas where you do not need beach shoes to get into the water. All three pools were very nice and well maintained. The central pool has the bar and a hot tub. Lots of anoles and iguanas around so if you don't like lizards then maybe not the place for you to visit. They are harmless if you leave them alone. Would recommend Divi Dutch Village to others.

We own a timeshare and used our saved weeks to book our vacation for us and friends. We have stayed here in 2021and it was a nice place. Upon our return this year (2023) we experienced a very different atmosphere. Check in as very unprofessional a lot of joking from desk personnel. They didn’t explain the taxes that we were going to have to pay until check out time. Mold stains in ceiling in stairway and dirty noisy A/C’sin our room. Our friends unit had leaking A/C’s that got their clothes wet that were on the bureau. They found a puddle of water at the top of stairs. Concierge were no help. We asked them about a Jeep rentals and they just kept pressing us to take a tour even when we told them we took one on our last stay. Outside light at the bottom of stairway was out. It was fixed 2 days before we left. Pool closed at 8pm and the pool bar and restaurant closed at 3:30pm. The towel and cleaning service was great. Our housekeeper was there everyday with a smile.

You must try tge food and drinks at the Tiki Bar!! Thanks girls!! And a big thanks to Divi!!

The structure is beautiful. The water looks beautiful and so does most of the beach. The actual swimming is horrible because of the rocks that are not visible until you get into the water. The beach along Aruba Divi is 90% rock free. Swimming along the beach in Dutch village was a painful experience. We renamed it rock beach! Sun bathing yes. Swimming no go!

I loved this resort. Condo/ Apartments right on the beach. Beautifully furnished, and decorated, kitchen/ living room, dining room, outside deck. Breakfast at the Tiki was fabulous!! Staff professional, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. All inclusive is the best choice, as Divi has multiple properties in the area and you have your choice to eat at 10plus restaurants, and use other resorts. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had reservations through Interval. When we were checking in, they wanted to charge us full amount again. We showed the hostess our reservations and she was far from helpful. Sat in lobby for two hours trying to get situation resolved. Finally cancelled with Interval while they were trying to fix situation. Ended up at another resort. Was a blessing in disguise as other resort was so great and staff so friendly we booked another trip in a few months

Everything at the resort was beautiful but inconsistent from pool service to pool service. The registration was bad I was booked for one room and sent to other part of resort because they overbooked. Then they sent me to other room I was supposed to get but wasted most of my time waiting. Otherwise everything else was awesome.

Our building lost water frequently. Rooms are showing age (ex: drawers on dressers broken; dishwasher practically falling out from under cabinet). We did all inclusive for 4 of our 7 days and found the food OK at best. Our best meal was Paparazzi restaurant. The beach was nice but was 70% washed away(compared to photographs within the resort). Also to note try to get a room as far away from the road as possible as cars are obnoxiously loud at night. Our overall Aruba experience is that Aruba is more of a USA city feel vs a tropical get away. Also we received so much conflicting information from staff on things it became a running joke amongst or family when we received information that it had a 50/50 chance of being correct.

My wife and I Just returned form the resort and we had a terrific time, we had a one bedroom suite and it was perfect very large and well maintained The whole staff on the resort were just amazing and went above and beyond to help in any way they could. Renee who was working the front desk was just amazing and always made sure all our needs were met and he was a pure gentleman and so helpful. the resort is also located within very short distances form restaurants and entertainment The shuttle service was great minimum waiting time for them and they were always courteous. We would not hesitate to recommend the resort

We had a good week. We didn't take the all-inclusive, which has its pluses and minuses. There are some really good off-site restaurants but a long walk (maybe 2 km) or a taxi. There are a number of "features" that were poorly or at least inconsistently explained. For example, you can buy "tickets" for $45 pp for the all-inclusive restaurants. We didn't find out about this until it was too late to book. There don't appear to be washrooms near the pools, certainly not shown on the resort map. We did eventually find near the Tiki Bar one with a Ladies sign and one with no sign. Room cleaning was sporadic and not explained at check in. Most hotels these days give you a welcome letter explaining such things... TLDR: we had a good vacation, but if we were to return to Aruba we would probably try elsewhere.

We only stayed 2 days to extend our vacation a bit from another resort that could not accommodate us. The room is nice. The resort seems busy. We didn't have a beach view so I really didn't want to stay on resort. The bed is noisy. It needs a new frame or box spring. Every time you moved it was creaking. Very loud.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at I would highly recommend staying anywhere but here. This place was a nightmare from day 1 when we checked in all the way though checkout 3 days later. When we first checked in they had issues locating the free breakfast vouchers and directed us to comeback the next day for them. The first night the AC in the room began whistling/howling all night and we informed the front desk in the morning after not sleeping and they told us they would have it fixed while we were out for the day. When we returned to the room the AC was not fixed and we had to fight to change rooms. We finally got a room change and when we checked into the new room the people staying next-door were apparently using the room prior to us checking in and they needed to retrieve their belongings from our bathroom??? The next morning was checkout and we went to shower but we had no running water and on top of that the AC/ ceiling in our new room began leaking water into our luggage in the closet. This place is absolute trach and would not suggest anyone stay here. The manager and customer service was no existent through this whole process and we are still fighting over compensation with the resort.

Aruba is such an amazing place… but… the cost for all inclusive at Divi Dutch was not worth it. Service was so slow or nonexistent at some points. Some restaurants were very fast and friendly. Some had the rudest workers ever and it was not only our family who experienced such an unpleasant experience. Avoid Ginger restaurant. We loved the food in their Ginger restaurant but we have been talked down to there, we had to ask multiple servers to help and take empty plates from our table since our server who is also the host of the place was no where to be seen. The Red Parrot was the best restaurant for the dinner there. The bars and grill locations there did not open at the hours indicated and were refusing to take orders 20-25 minutes before the closing time. The towels booth ran out of towels very well before the closing time but they would not restock towels. The registration hostess at check in failed to properly mark the places on the it map and it took us days to figure out which places are included in our all-inclusive. We ended having most of our dinners elsewhere in the city and that was the best decision. The beach was the best part of the resort. It was clean and perfect for kids to play in the sand. If we ever do the Aruba vacation again we surely will avoid using all-inclusive option. Just not worth it. Also, the shuttles at Divi are terrible. They are always driving around so you cannot walk around without watching your back but then when you need a shuttle it’s never available and time to get a shuttle is about 30 minutes. That is important since restaurants spread over 3 Divi resorts. On the last day of our stay cleaning lady trashed the bag with our souvenirs and photos from the submarine tour. There are some nice fishing spots within walking distance. Loved Aruba, was not happy about Divi Dutch.

  • 1/5 Jimmy L. 7 months ago on Google
A very poor experience do to the fact the the Divi Corp. has allowed the Tam guests to use our pools. As an owner, we all paid an assessment to renovate the resort and now they let just about anyone use our pool. These new users of our pools leave all of the cups laying around and in addition, unsupervised kids are jumping off the wall at phase 1 and do not respect the owners. This is not what we paid for.

Mold in closet from a/c leak, no cold water only hot or boiling hot. Flimsy spring mattress, make up on pillow, broken drawer, ceiling fan shakes so hard it’s probably goijh to fly off in the middle of the night. Worst hotel out of the 5 I have stayed at in Aruba. Don’t even bother asking for help because they won’t do anything about it, not because they don’t want to help you. Because they aren’t equipped to.

STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. Poor service - slow and frankly surly. The room was just a bed and bath with a view of the rotary behind the hotel, think Motel 6 off the freeway when you're too tired to keep driving. The Divi Dutch is an isolated spot with very limited amenities and none after like 6PM. The staff honestly seem not to know their own layout, getting lost, or not finding us when using the shuttle. I'd be embarassed to tell anyone to stay there and then have them actually do it.

Sent my stepdaughter here on her honeymoon. All-inclusive. She said the food was inedible and they spent their money eating every meal away. They were seated (first night) by a huge bus table with stacks of dirty dishes right over her shoulder. When they finally got served, the food was frozen in parts and mushy/unrecognizable in other parts. They ordered something else and it was worse. She is very easy going and polite, so when the waiter suggested they go elsewhere, they did. The restaurant they went to said they get a lot of business from her resort. Nuff said.

The place is beautiful and all of the people are very friendly! The only negatives are, no elevators and no front desk at the Divi village, you have to go to the golf resort. Neither of those were big issues for us though. There are shuttles to take you to the golf resort and they carried our luggage up the stairs for us which is the only thing we would have used the elevator for anyway. Overall it's amazing!!

We were not able to get to Aruba for the first 6 days of our 1st week. I called and told them that we would be there towards the end of the week. When we arrived we were told that our paid for suite had been rented. The woman at the desk was very annoyed that we showed up but eventually found a first floor suite (no elevators) and we stayed for the night. The problem there was that the BR was on the 2nd floor which was a hardship to us. We are both handicapped. We left the next day for another hotel but returned the following week. After 3 days there we had a call from the front desk to welcome us. We were never given any list of activities. You are pretty much on your own. There is one activity board up on the end of one of the buildings. Otherwise Bingo and happy hours are not noted at the bars. We usually take advantage of those to meet and interact with others. We did find a book exchange at the pool. There is also a tram to take you to most of the other Divi facilities and casino but the waits can be very long. The suites are nice and clean but hot water was at a premium. The dishwasher was not secured and threatened to fall out but worked. Other than the front desk the employees were very accommodating and pleasant. One gentleman, a trainee, was also very helpful.

This resort is beautiful! We had a few bad experiences while there. Twice, not once, but TWICE we had things stolen out of our room, had to be by a cleaner. Nothing was done about it. Management was very unresponsive and unhelpful, to say the least. For an "All Inclusive", we had to buy our own water, soda and coffee for our room or you had to go to a restaurant or bar to get a cup of what you wanted to drink. They close the pools from 8 pm till 9 am. They also must cool the pools because I was only able to swim one day because the water was just too cold. I can say that all the food was fantastic, no matter where you ate! So, my opinion, beautiful resort but leaves much to be desired.

First time to Aruba and we decided to stay at Divi Dutch. We are so happy we did. We stayed in a studio suite and the room was great. Having a kitchen was very nice and the balcony overlooking the pool was very useful. We loved that there are 3 pools and the beach is right at the resort. Plenty of chairs and palapa's each day and the beach was great. They do have a lot of sand bags up to help with erosion but that never bothered us. It is also nice that the shuttle will take you to the nearby sister resorts as well. Super close to the airport and also close to the hotel zone and tourist area. Everyone who worked there as super nice and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again and thanks Divi Dutch for helping make our first trip to Aruba great!
