This
resort
had
a
lot
of
opportunities
to
make
this
a
phenomenal
stay,
but
did
not
deliver.
As
a
Diamond
member,
I
expected
certain
benefits
as
they
were
described
on
the
Hilton
App
for
this
property.
This
includes
upgrades
to
rooms
with
special
amenities,
high
floors,
etc.
as
well
as
complimentary
breakfast.
I
had
requested
a
room
upgrade
ahead
of
time,
but
was
told
that
no
upgrades
were
available
upon
arrival.
The
room
we
were
initially
placed
in
was
on
the
bottom
floor
facing
the
bushes
with
no
view.
I
saw
that
plenty
of
rooms
were
available
for
me
to
book
online,
which
I
mentioned
to
the
front
desk
person.
She
then
finally
agreed
to
upgrade
me.
We
were
very
unsatisfied
with
this
"upgrade"
as
it
faced
the
parking
lot.
Eventually,
we
were
moved
to
another
room
in
the
Aruba
tower,
which
was
much
better,
but
incredibly
inconvenient
to
have
had
to
move
mid-stay.
Also,
I
was
told
that
rooms
on
the
Club
floor
were
not
eligible
to
be
upgraded
to
as
they
have
special
amenities
(though
this
is
exactly
what
the
Hilton
app
says
is
a
benefit
of
Diamond
members
for
this
property).
I
booked
two
rooms
under
my
HHonors
number,
but
was
told
I
could
only
use
my
Diamond
benefits
for
one
room.
When
I
tried
to
apply
my
partner's
Gold
status
to
the
other
room,
I
was
told
I
couldn't
do
that
either.
In
fact,
there
were
multiple
other
guests
(who
mentioned
also
having
Diamond
status)
who
were
complaining
at
the
front
desk
as
well
about
similar
issues.
In
addition
to
these
issues,
we
had
to
continually
call
and
ask
for
towels,
wash
cloths,
shampoo,
and
bottles
of
water
as
these
were
not
regularly
restocked
when
our
room
was
cleaned.
This
property
is
nice,
but
a
bit
dated
and
lacking
in
amenities.
Plus,
these
aforementioned
issues
would
prohibit
me
from
ever
recommending
this
resort
to
anyone.
