Great time share resort. Next to the Surf Club, Marriott Hotel and Ritz. Close to the strip with lots of restaurants. Actually the most comfortable sofa bed I have slept on as it was memory foam. The one bedroom was a good size with full kitchen.

Very nice resort. The amenities are fantastic, three Marriott properties right next to each other with different choices to eat out. The one bedroom suite is much larger than expected and the ocean views are fantastic.

We stayed here in June of 2019 and were blown away with this resort. We had a beautiful suite with a spacious living room, full kitchen and oceanview balcony. The resort is within walking distance to plenty of eateries and bars, plus, its right on the beach. We enjoyed the close proximity to the neighboring casino and the hotels swim up bar. This truly is one happy island!

The Marriott Ocean Club is truly exceptional in every aspect. The level of friendliness among the staff is unparalleled; from the bellmen to the front desk team and the phone operators, everyone goes above and beyond to provide outstanding service. One better feature is the availability of reserving chairs at the Ocean Club compared to the Surf Club. The beach chairs at the Ocean Club are not only easier to secure but also incredibly comfortable, thanks to their padded design. The beach experience itself, including the beach staff, is superior to what you'd find at the Surf Club. The rooms at the Ocean Club are impeccably clean, much more up-to-date, and better equipped than those at the Surf Club. It's clear that the Ocean Club takes great care to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. What truly sets the Ocean Club apart is the overall atmosphere and clientele. Guests here tend to be more reasonable and less demanding, contributing to a more relaxed and enjoyable beach vibe. Our experience at the Marriott Ocean Club was outstanding, making it the clear choice over the Surf Club. We have every intention of returning to the Ocean Club for our future stays, as it offers a superior resort experience in every way. Dave

Very disappointing. Bad service overall. Food seems to take over an hour regularly. Front desk help is unfriendly. Requested early check in a week prior to arrival and no luck had to wait until almost 5pm. Also requested late out check upon arrival only allowed 1 extra hour. Very frustrating especially as an ambassador who spends over $20k a year at Marriott hotels. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

We love our "home" in Aruba. The beach is beautiful and well maintained. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. There are lots of guest amenities and services. And, the property is a quick & easy walk to the Palm Beach strip.

Every time we stay here, it has been excellent and very enjoyable! The staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms were recently renovated last year and are modern & impeccably furnished. There are pools, shops, bars, stores and a very good sports bar (Champions) on property. Of course, it's a beachfront property on Palm Beach!

Awesome family friendly hotel, newly renovated, and slightly low-key compared to the Surf Club next door. Probably best for families with older kids, but people of all ages will love. Convenient location and friendly staff!

We rented someone’s timeshare, a one bedroom villa for our honeymoon. Upon arrival I told the concierge and asked if they could hook us up with a good view. They sure did. The ocean front view was absolutely stunning. We got to enjoy magnificent sunsets every night. The location is perfect. Pool is beautiful. The bingo games around 2:30PM were a lot of fun… we want to come back already. The rooms were very very clean. We loved the full sized kitchen too.

Overall the property is nice and well laid out with lots of activities and fun. I think rating it one star less is only due to the extremely limited benefits of being a Titanium but that's all laid out in the terms and partially my fault. The house keeping came in at 10:30 and I was very surprised that even with status I was supposed to check out at 10:00 but the housekeeping manager at least did have some leeway and give me 12:00.

Absolutely terrible resort. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. They served me raw chicken and still made me pay the bill!!! Did not even offer to take the raw chicken out of the bill! Got me sick for my entire vacation, throwing up, fever, and diarrhea. The front desk told me there is absolutely nothing they can do to compensate me but they are “sorry”. My room was dirty upon check in, they refused to give me a new room and forced me to sit in the room for 1 hour while they clean which then made the bathroom stink of bleach. We were unable to enjoy our night and were told by the front desk “we should have used to showers in the gym”. So I pay $1000 per night for a resort and I’m supposed to shower in the gym? They refused to give me extra clean towels , only after arguing with them multiples times they agreed to exchange our dirty towels for clean ones. The management and supervisor are all aware of our issues and said there is nothing they will do for us for any of the inconveniences.

This is the best hotel you can stay in Aruba. Perfect location and very clean. Our room was very new and we had a great ocean view. We usually go every year, so this is our favorite place. Thankyou for always have a great experience.

Be careful when booking here. The rooms are not a described. I paid extra for an Oceanfront Villa and I have no view of the ocean. Instead, I’m staring at the the back of the Malmok Bar and Grill building. This is by far my worst Mariott experience to date. I arrived at the Ocean Club at 12:00 pm. They were supposed to let me know when a room was ready and never did. I came back at 5:00 and they had clearly let everyone who arrived after me check in before me.

Love this timeshare at the Surf club. Rooms at Marriott Surf Club are getting dated. Bathroom is disrepair. Pool towel situation not working. Had to bring towels up to room and wash.

Staff is great attentive and friendly. Great recommendations and so awesome the concierge was able to get us a jeep to go four wheeling at Arikok National Park. Very clean, attention to detail was spot on. Food is good at the pool side restaurant, Malmouk. OK so so food in the now closed sports bar. Great vacation and can't wait to return. Resort had fireworks for July 4th. Not spectacular but so fun to have it. Walked along beach and ever bar and resort was celebrating. Great one bedroom -- awesome full kitchen. Clean and bright. Had great view of ocean and overlooking pool. Can't wait to go back again.

Great 👍 Love the aquacize, music at the pool (mix is good) and late after violin plays 🎶. The ocean is a beautiful blue and so clear. Thr rooms are clean and nicely arranged. It was great in every way.

Situated next to the beach. Newly renovated rooms. Not yet finished with some necessary or esthetic repairs (elevator, staircase etc. ). Very friendly staff. More quite than the Aruba Surf Club.

This was our favourite place in Aruba. The hotel allows you to use the amenities even if you are not staying. Love the everything about this place. Lots of chairs for the beach and pool.

  • 3/5 Pat S. 8 months ago on Google
I am giving this place a 3 for multiple reasons. Firstly, we ordered fresh fruit from the Malmok restaurant and the cafe store inside. Both times the grapes were moldy which means either a lack of proper preparation or a lack of quality sources. In addition, the Fresh Fruit and yogurt item was incredibly over priced given the 1 ounce of yogurt included for $16 and moldy grapes. The melon was hard, the pineapple was beyond the “sell by date” and the orange was bitter. The other big consideration is the rooms - very nicely equipped but the entire living area is “hardwood”. Unless you want to listen to herds of buffalo above you at night or in the morning ask for the top floor only.

Be careful when you book reservations here. I was assured that I was getting Ocean View but when I arrived at the resort, I had the view of bushes and the hotel next door! When I went to the desk to inform them that I didn't get what I paid for, they told me that the area of the resort that I was booked in, is just CALLED Ocean View but doesn't necessarily mean that you can see the ocean! I even verified with my travel agent that I would be able to see the Ocean before I booked and paid over $5,000 but the resort even misled them! I was not the only VERY upset customer in line with the exact same issue! I got online from the resort and found BEAUTIFUL ocean front accomodations at the Holiday Inn resort and have disputed my charges for the Marriott. I would expect better from a Marriott property! I didn't even stay 5 minutes in the bogus accomodations. DO BETTER Marriott!!!

Hotel is very nice. Location is excellent, nearby everything. Service is exceptional. It's more for a relaxing type trip. If you are looking to party or do activities in the hotel, this is not the place for you. You can book excursions outside the resort. The crowd is either family oriented or "mature" adult. If you are in between, maybe choose a different hotel.

Currently on the property, and as a Titanium Elite with Marriott who travels frequently, I'd recommend skipping this one and heading straight to the Ritz-Carlton. The service is mediocre at best, the rooms are clean and nice, but they ration the towels, which is super weird. I can't even handle the level of ridiculous with trying to get a palapa on the beach. We just didn't even bother because you have to reserve the day before and then PAY for it at a hotel where I'm already paying to stay! The front desk argued with me when I asked about just getting chairs, so we walked to another hotel beach and it was fine. This is a complete sh!t show, however, and I'll never stay at this property again. The location of my room, well...it's great if you enjoy looking at the roof of adjacent buildings and the view in my own backyard is better. This place sucks and so does their customer service. The front desk staff argued with me when I went to ask why I was being charged $200/day and started making up reasons (taxes, etc). The girl didn't even listen to me when I told her that I was using points and shouldn't be charged anything more! I finally asked to speak with the manager, who conveniently was in a meeting. They eventually resolved it and called the room to inform me that I was right about the charges, but it was unfortunate that she didn't simply say she'd look into it from the beginning rather than argue. My absolute favorite part of staying st the Ocean Club was leaving! I've never been more excited to check out of a hotel to go home than I was from this place. Thank goodness I've been to Aruba dozens of times prior because if this were my first trip, I don't know that I'd return. Please improve your customer service and guest experience!

What a wonderful Resort. The resort is immaculate inside and out. The staff is efficient yet friendly and helpful. Each person is treated well and as much time devoted as that person needs. The rooms are clean with upscale furniture and appliances. There are shops, restaurants, and bars. It is adult and kid friendly.

Spent a week at this resort. Facilities were excellent - have to say Marriott did a great job!

Excellent hotel. Rooms were more like apartments than hotel rooms. Full kitchen with dishwasher, living room and bedroom. The bathroom had both a shower and bathtub. The hotel property is very nice and well maintained. You have to pay $10 to rent a spot on the beach for the day. Which is annoying. For that $10, you get a table with an umbrella/over hang plus chairs (I think up to like 4-5 chairs not sure). It can sell out if you don’t reserve the spot quick enough. Pool was nice as well. Bars were great but pricy although the happy hour drink specials were nice. This hotel is also walking distance to the really nice downtown area with all the restaurants. The walk is on a main road though so not the easiest walk (no sidewalk) but it’s only like a half mile, 10 minute walk. Otherwise you can take a cab for $7. All in all, we had such a great stay here, the staff is pleasant, the grounds are nice and the place is conveniently located. We will 100% come and stay here again next time we visit Aruba.

The staff is very unfriendly The se irony guards are very very annoying and nasty. The towel situation is totally pathetic. The lack of housekeeping makes zero sense. The food is gross 🤮. There’s never a taxi when i go outside. The concierge was clueless. The rooms are nice when they decide to Clean them and that’s once a week if you’re lucky. Good luck on getting towels and there no washing machine in the first floor …. So how do i wash my own towels on vacation???????? At the mariott ocean club there are zero amenities and zero service Good luck !!!!

If you want a more intimate and quiet experience this is it compared to a few feet next door. Don't let the outside fool you, the rooms have been refurbished and beautifully modern. Had reservations on the ground floor but even that was excellent. Worth a return!

First we are Owners of this timeshare, we arrived early and our room was not ready, then they said to come back at 5:30, room still was not ready. Then when it was ready we went to the room and the view was the top of the hotel across the way and the dirty laundry area of the hotel. Then could only sees the ocean by sticking our head out the balcony and stretching your neck out enough to get passed the area where there was construction going on. When we purchased our timeshare, we purchase ocean view. We have been owners for over 20 years and this is the room they gave us, really!!! Then went to see if we could change our room, which they did to the first floor. Upon making the sofa bed up for our children, there was blood stains on the pillow and the sheets were dirty. This is not acceptable!! Then every floor had a laundry area, except the first floor. We had to walk in the reception area with our dirty laundry, I was embarrassed. Then outside the pool area, there were left dirty glasses and left there for a day and a half. I have to say, we have traded this timeshare to other Marriotts and this Ocean Club Marriott was by far the worst! So disappointed! Oh also you have to pay daily for the huts on the beach. The Pool area so crowed and noisy Kids screaming and chasing the iguanas while the parents sipped their drinks and let them run wild.

Secure, safe rooms, but the final word is generous. It is always a treat to come here. Thank you for peaceful surroundings that heal whatever ails me.

I had an issue that Rosa resolved. A little understanding and communication on both sides helped. Rosa was truly great, I appreciate her understanding and helping us. We look forward to working with her next year. Thank you Rosa.

We stayed the entire week. First class resort. There was 6 of us in a 2 bedroom. The grounds are maintained everyday and they look like it. I liked it better than the surf club less people.

Really nice hotel. Nice spacious clean rooms and lobby. Includes beach access with option to rent out shaded huts. Huge pool with lounge chairs. Two whirlpools that are usually not too crowded. A playground and a giant chess board. Great area located near lots of other resorts.

Spectacular views and location. Service depends...some is great, some feels not so great..for me.it's not in what they do/not do but how they say it. People change, or you might have caught them on a bad day, so rating is 5... the location and surroundings are Spectacular

The worst experience I've ever had in my entire life... A few days before our vacation, they decided they weren't going to offer housekeeping for people staying in Surf & Ocean Club... Not only that, they wanted to charge us $10.00 for towels. They expected us to wash our towels. The staff was very unfriendly - they were overly strict with masks... Every time I walked in with my two year old daughter, they told me she needed to have a mask on and wouldn't allow us to go to the elevator to get to our room because my two year didn't have a mask on... I wouldn't ever recommend this place to anybody and the 100's of other people that I spoke to while I was there, felt the same way. I'd give a 0 star rating if I could...

First time in Aruba and so happy we stayed at the Ocean Club. Staff was very friendly, great amenities, and cafe/shops in the hotel were open late which was great. Great location to shops and restaurants. Hotel staff kept everything very clean. The beach worker named Moses was awesome - very helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back here!! Highly recommend.

Definitely much busier than last yr. If you want a spot at the pool, get up at 530, & sit there till 7 with towels on chairs. Same to reserve same day popular. Get out there by 530 to start the line when towel station opens at 7

Booked an Ocean View room for a week. Just arrived and the room is garden view. We were told that even though we can't see the ocean that our room is considered ocean view. Asked to be moved to a room with a view, but they said they could not accommodate our request since our room is considered ocean view. The only view we have is a swingset on the side of the hotel.

👍👍 My family’s been going to Aruba for the last two weeks of the year for 35 years. The Playa Linda is truly our home away from home and we have never stayed anywhere else.
