I
just
got
home
from
my
first
trip
to
Aruba.
Aruba
is
a
beautiful
country
with
the
friendliest
natives
I’ve
ever
met.
However
I
would
not
stay
at
the
Holiday
Inn
Resort
Aruba
again.
Upon
our
arrival,
we
checked
into
our
rooms
in
the
North
Tower.
The
rooms
were
dirty
and
totally
unkept.
The
shower
was
unusable,
the
smell
was
unbearable
triggering
my
mother
in
law’s
asthma.
I
first
went
down
and
they
moved
one
of
our
rooms
to
a
higher
floor.
We
had
the
same
experience
in
that
room
as
well.
Luckily
I
booked
my
trip
through
American
Express,
so
I
contacted
them
to
handle
the
situation.
After
about
a
half
hour
of
waiting
to
hear
from
American
Express
they
told
me
the
resort
will
reach
out
to
me
again
about
changing
rooms
for
a
second
time.
The
resort
did
not
reach
out
to
me
until
7:30
at
night.
Luckily
the
two
new
rooms
were
clean
enough
for
us
to
feel
comfortable
to
stay
in.
By
the
time
we
were
settled
in
our
room
with
our
two
year
old
it
was
close
to
9
o’clock
at
night
and
the
whole
experience
ruined
our
first
nights
stay.
We
were
unable
to
go
to
one
of
the
restaurants
to
eat
so
we
had
to
order
room
service.
Which
is
not
part
of
the
All
Inclusive
package.
They
were
able
to
accommodate
us
with
free
upgrades
which
we
are
grateful
for.
But
I
don’t
think
that
enough
to
bring
us
back.
The
only
two
positives
we
have
is
the
location
of
the
resort
and
Hugo
at
the
Oceanside
Bar
and
Grill.
The
location
is
perfectly
located.
The
little
downtown
area
is
right
outside
the
resort.
We
spent
every
night
walking
around
looking
at
all
the
shops
and
restaurants.
Hugo
at
Oceanside
was
a
great
waiter.
He
made
sure
we
were
well
taken
care
of
everyday.
