I rarely take the time to write reviews however when staff LIES, over charges and then give half filled sauces that they up charged I feel the need to. Let me start by saying I have been a HUGE fan of Mikado’s for months now, my fiancé and I literally order the same order 2 sometimes 3x a week for weeks. We both dine in and place orders for pick up often but yesterday when I placed our regular order for my fiancé to pick up I asked for white sauce (same as we ALWAYS DO) the women taking our order mumbled something, since I didn’t hear her I asked what she said or if there was anything else and she stated no no the order is placed and to please make sure we arrive before 3:30 because that’s when they close. Fast forward 15 minutes later my fiancé arrives to pick up our food and we see we’ve been charged for white sauce (which has never happened in over a dozen pick up orders) when my fiancé asks about it the rep states it was stated on the call which not only is a lie, however if that is what she mumbled when I asked her to repeat herself she refused. My fiancé of course pays for the sauce (the problem is not the extra $1, but instead the quality of service, rude responses, and unprofessional manner of handling the situation). In addition to us having to pay for sauce (be aside $60 clearly Isn’t enough money for sushi) when we see the sauce we did get they barely filled the cup (literally the smallest amount we’ve ever received from a pick up order.) we’ll be finding a new favorite sushi place unfortunately. Food is great but how you treat your customers matter and disappointed is an understatement.

The food was very good and the service was friendly! I would like to give a 5 star (most of my reviews are), but I didn't feel like it was an excellent experience. Not a big deal, I ordered 3 rolls and the third came out after we had finished our meal. I don't complain, but an explanation or apology would have gone a long way. Its also a bit pricy, to be honest. Food wise - I enjoyed the Miso soup, the California roll was super good, and the tuna roll also was delicious. Nice atmosphere.

Loved this place! The interior is very nice. We got TNT lover roll, Drama queen roll and ceviche roll. They were out of this world good. Not too much rice, fish tasted fresh and would literally melt in your mouth. We were pleasantly surprised. We also had a yakiudon and it was very flavorful. Would definitely come back!

Great sushi place! We were on our 2nd wedding anniversary trip, and we happened to visit this place for our dinner. We had other places in mind, but ended up here somehow. And just... WOW! This is THE PLACE if you like sushi and sashimi. ORDER THE MIKADO BOAT! All seafoods are fresh and delicious! They provide all different kinds of sushi, so you can try lots of different styles too! Unlike other sushi place that gives out cheap "California Roll", they provide some quality rolls as well. And all this for very reasonable price. Very very satisfied! 👍👍👍

Was craving deep fried ice cream and after browsing, I found this place. Ended up getting some food along with the fried ice cream. Really enjoyed the food. Took it to go as I had ordered food for my boyfriend as well. Very clean and was getting busy while waiting for my food.

Came here on a recommendation on a friend and am very glad we did! Everything we ordered was delicious, with quick service and a nice atmosphere.

I like the restaurant decorations, service stuff are very nice, but I’m angry because feel chef not taking not serious on food, not professional! Can do better for first time customer, so hard trying to find Japanese restaurants who serve sea urchin

Food was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. I see some bad reviews about service but I didn't experience any of it. To be fair we really ordered from the sushi bar with the exception of one appetizer but our entire dinner was served timely and as an 8 course meal for which I was grateful. I wouldn't of wanted all the food we ordered to come out all at once or without rhyme or reason as you experience at many other restaurants. We went on a Saturday night, had reservations at 6pm got there early at 5:30, no problem seating us but filled up quickly soon after. I would recommend reservations certainly during seasonal times. The quality and selection of the fish were superb and truly authentic. Most probably don't notice or care but what really separates this place from others is the seasoning of their sushi rice and the way it was cooked. Properly cooked and seasoned rice is the soul of sushi after all. Presentation and use of ingredients is not technically traditional for those looking for an authentic experience to Japanese food. For those customers I would recommend Hanamizuki on International drive. We decided on coming because we wanted a different twist to traditional sushi with a more chic and modern presentation with the dishes and they nailed it. Will be back for sure!

Even though they get busy the service is amazing and the food is incredible! Every plate looks like literal art on a plate and it is made perfectly exactly how you ask. Love this place and we will definitely be back!

Jesus freakin Christ! This is one of the rare unexpected gems I found by surprise through Google. This place is awesome and the service, quality and price are great for what you get. The food is SO good! So much so that I almost didn’t want to write a review just to keep this place a secret. Just go! Highly recommend if you are an Orlando local or simply love sushi!

The environment is nice, but servers didn’t care about the bar, so we wait a long time. Talking about food, this was the one we liked least. They don’t have a lot of choices in rolls, three we ordered were just ok. Teriyaki chicken was very bland. They have a bar to seat, but do not have cocktails to order.

I had the pleasure of dining at this sushi restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food. The flavors were exceptional, and it's evident that they use high-quality ingredients. While the prices leaned towards the higher side, the remarkable taste and presentation of the dishes made it a worthwhile experience. If you're a sushi lover seeking an elevated culinary experience, this restaurant won't disappoint.

It's worth the hour-long drive from my sister's house. High-end ingredients, great sushi rice, fresh fish, and delicious rolls.

Mikado is definitely a hidden gem here in Orlando and it’s a staple in my restaurant rotation. The quality here is unmatched, the ingredients are so fresh and no matter what dish you order, you’ll notice that. My favorite roll is the toro maki, but I regularly try new ones. I also really love the Philadelphia roll. Although this roll is simple and available at most sushi places, the one at mikado is unmatched because they use fresh salmon instead of smoked salmon which I prefer. I ordered take out this time around but I the restaurant itself is very cute. The service in person can be a little slow, I’ve even seen my food just sitting at the sushi bar for 5+ minutes before it’s brought to us but the location gets pretty busy.

Best sushi spot in Orlando. Best bang for your buck. Head chef Tony is the best. His sushi creations are divine. Jesse makes me feel at home. This sushi spot is the best! Thank you Mikado!!

New to the area and have been to multiple sushi restaurants and have not found a place as good as Mikado. We were served quickly and accurately on a busy Saturday night with a party of 8. I will be back and strongly encourage anyone who reads this to try our favorite sushi place in Orlando.

Good sashimi. The topping on each sashimi was interesting but not necessary. Call me a traditionalist. The end pieces of the Golden California roll don’t have any avocado or crab just cucumber. I felt like I was eating cucumber.

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary and yea we were extremely impressed. The menu is just amazing with finds you won’t be able to try anywhere around this area. Absolutely recommended!
