SKETCHY and unsafe! Be very careful walking around and going to your car in the lot there are really troubled people lurking everywhere. Went to the service Ontario office and waited 2 hours!!! The longest line ever and all I saw were drugged up people wandering around eyeballing everyone and a homeless person jumping up on the benches doing the "hokie pookie" with a crazed smile on his face. This place is just a run down dying mall, maybe was good way back when which is kind of sad but I would stay away from this place and definitely DO NOT GO at night.

A dying mall kept on life support by the service ontario and service canada buildings. Every now and again a store moves in to capitalise on the traffic but the people that hang around this mall give off a vibe that you should check that your car is locked. The saving grace is some of the diners and restaurants nearby actually are worth getting a bite from if you are in the area

Just go to the oshawa centre. It's a much better place. First of all there is a bunch of homeless people. And it's pretty sketchy. So it's not the safest place for a kid alone. The oshawa centre is just 5 min away might as well go there.

Pulling up I was a little skeptical that I was going to make it - but I needed to get all the Service Ontario things done. Once inside it felt a bit better - and I have to say the SO ladies were very nice, fast and made it worth the wait! (Minus all the fees of course). In the heart of Oshawa is an interesting place but overall an ok experience!

Both Service Ontario & Canada are located at Midtown Mall. There is a barber offering $15.00 haircuts for Seniors! There is attached to the Mall Dollarama & Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Be very CAREFUL in the very large parking lot as there is a transport truck 🚚 driving school! BEWARE & use the correct lanes.

All the stores you need to get your government documents and a snack for a cheap price, but the area is filled with very interesting people to say the least

Went to go to service Ontario, web site says they close at 5. Apparently they close at 4. Good job government

Midtown mall has a place that will help u with resumes, and online training etc. They are helping me allot. Allot of the stores in the mall have been converted into government agencies now. The 1$ store is there, variety store, cell phone store, income tax place, used furniture/appliances store. The mall is still alive, for a long time coming.

I will give Midtown 3 stars. Midtown mall certainly isn't what it used to be. Not by a long shot! There are some decent shops and businesses still but certain things I'm not so fond of. For example, the use of the washroom. It's kept locked and while I was shopping once I'd asked to please use it and was actually denied so I was forced to tell a fib. I had to say that I was pregnant in order to use the washroom. I live with tummy troubles and NEEDED the washroom severely but I felt I had no choice but to fib as they denied me the use. I'm unsure why they don't use their vacant spaces for something or things that could help our community in some way, shape or form. Dollar store, nail salon and the government services are all good but how bout some things that would be useful for our community of the less fortunate.

Midtown own Mall Oshawa does offer the convenience of having government services offices and a reliable Drive Test center. However, there are concerns regarding the overall safety and cleanliness of the mall. Potential visitors should approach with caution and adjust their expectations regarding the mall's appearance

Needs a drastic cleanup. Yes Dollarama, Service Ontario, Service Canada and the Drive test centre are all there in the same spot but this mall just smells awful...reeks of urine.

Way more empty than it used to be. Still a good place for government forms and updates, or a trip to the dollar store or for pizza.

It has a spacious parking lot, clean and quiet. If you're planning to go to service canada make sure to be early to avoid a long queue.

It's a beautiful mall. Some shops are under construction or either moving, Drive test center, Dollarama, Service Ontario and other shops with 2 restaurants present. Parking lot is big.

The Service Canada, Service Ontario, Ontario Works, Drivetest Centre, Tax Office and Legal Clinic makes this mall a fantastic spot for many resources, especially so close to City Hall and McLaughlin Library. The Dollarama is one of the better ones, Anthony's Grill is great and reasonably priced, and the guys at the computer shop know their stuff. The people who work here are very helpful. This mall doesn't feel like a mall and it's far from perfect, but it does have a lot of potential to be great. That being said, I can only give this place 3 stars because there's currently a roach infestation that the owner refuses to address. Each shop is required to deal with the infestation themselves, but as soon as they do, the roaches just come back. I'm not gonna point any fingers or name names as to who's responsible for the infestation, but the owner should do something about it. This mall is a good place to go for specific needs. Just don't leave your purse on the floor.

Not really a mall. Only place that's open is the huge Dollarama, the Service Ontario and Service Canada. I went there only for the DriveTest center or Service Canada. The Service Ontario there is a joke, got the longest lineup, will need to arrive an hour before it opens. It's also quite sketchy, got a couple of homeless sleeping on the benches and people that goes to the services are mostly homeless, so it might smell a bit. Witnessed a pick pocket as well last time I was there, a lady that looks like she's high on meth took 500 dollars from a grandma's purse when she's not looking and kept denying it to the police eventhough a lot of people saw it.

Midtown Mall is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. This small shopping center may not be as well-known as some of the larger malls, but it's definitely worth a visit. What I appreciate most about Midtown Mall is the variety of stores that are available. There is something for everyone, from clothing stores to specialty shops to restaurants. It's the perfect place to spend an afternoon browsing and shopping. One of my favorite stores in the mall is the bookstore. They have a great selection of books, and the staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I've found some real gems here that I wouldn't have found anywhere else. Another thing I love about Midtown Mall is the atmosphere. It's not as crowded or overwhelming as some of the larger malls, which makes for a more relaxed and enjoyable shopping experience. Parking is also plentiful and free, which is a rarity in the city. It's so convenient to be able to park right outside the mall and not have to worry about paying for parking or finding a spot. Overall, I highly recommend Midtown Mall for anyone looking for a great shopping experience. The variety of stores, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere make it a wonderful place to spend some time. Don't miss it!

Service Canada, including passport renewal and new application too, lined up 2 hours yesterday and they stopped accepting ppl in by 3:30pm. Went back this morning and waited only 1 hour. Friendly staff and the security is nice keep telling us jokes and keep us informed. Nice sitting area while handling the application compare to Toronto office, standing at booth! Good to know that senior doesn't have to line up and allow to go in directly!

Services at Service Canada should be speedup , the environment and security services are good but it will take more than the time you think ; so plan before heading off

They were amazing at the EI office. The woman helped me file for medical leave. Dollarama was awesome. The woman helped me get everything I needed. Yes I'm disabled so all the help I got was superior

Service Ontario, Service Canada and a Drivers Test for Licensing facility are considerable entities to have in a single mall. However, such centralization makes absolute, logistic, logical sense. I'm there more often, though, for the Dollar Store, there.. There's a variety store with Lottery Sales, a Cell phone accessories shop..a hairdressing and barber shop..a small clothing shop.. There is, also, an Employment Resource Centre on the upper level..again, a league of centralized government/government funded services with some stores too.. There's room to rent out to other stores for folks looking for commercial space. I've seen this mall go through a lot of changes and for awhile it was on life support, but, today it's a good mall, though it's missing a mall feel.. Hey, who doesn't miss that classy eatery that was once there.. They had a chef prepare a beef roast everyday with gravy to die for.. Their fries with that beef gravy.. You Cannot find anything as remotely good as that.. That's what I remember Mid Town Mall most for...a good memory.

🫤 Man this place needs an overhaul. Great branding; but the store is a mess. Stained carpets, dirty floors, black ceiling tiles and bathrooms that STILL have ashtrays next to the urinals - it's gross. Nevermind the layout is chaos; want jeans? Get ready to wander, because there isn't a jean section......

😠 Let’s hope for the best it gets torn down. It’s been going downhill ever since Walmart left that shopping mall.
