    Man this place needs an overhaul. Great branding; but the store is a mess. Stained carpets, dirty floors, black ceiling tiles and bathrooms that STILL have ashtrays next to the urinals - it's gross. Nevermind the layout is chaos; want jeans? Get ready to wander, because there isn't a jean section... They're just everywhere. Jackets? Maybe a dress shirt? Same thing - some by the shoes, some by the robes... It's just a free for all. But man, the store itself hasn't had a paint job (or a mop) since the 80s, and it shows.

    For some reason I got some good deals in that place, good 😊 amount of discount and reasonable price. Just a request if you don’t have all the brands in store kindly update that on google. I was looking for lactose Clotting but as per staff they don’t carry that there.

    Your typical Hudson's Bay, clean and inviting. Unlike Toronto where there is a employee everytime you turn, we had to walk around for 5 mins to find a manned register to pay.

    Perhaps it is my age..... The Bay used to be a great shopping experience. There were so many choices help. Oshawa's Bay looked sad, not cohesive. Everything picked over. From the ladies underwear to the sheets, the handbags, women's clothing. Even the Christmas shop just being set up was very poor. I was sad. Reading the news that department stores are dinosaurs, well this trip certainly proves the point. Pull up your socks guys

    A blast from the past I went in after 10 years and what an experience and great sales Awesome prices on all merchandise. Just loved it and can't wait to go back again. 👍👌👍 keep up the greatness ladies and gentlemen who work for this Awesome place . 👏

    Customer service is a misnomer there I bought something clearly marked by a sign with what I bought. When I got to cash they said it was a higher price and accompanied me back . They looked at the sign and after a few minutes found in tiniest print...exclude items ending in 99 It was a scam

    This is one of the few stores you can actually get clothes made in Canada! (Main reason I go here) but I needed a couple other things as well. All departments are well laid out and labeled (signs hanging from the ceiling) and prices are average to anywhere else making for a hard time to leave with what you originally came for (leave with more... like me)

    Had the best make-up person at the Mac Counter! Made me feel so comfortable about trying on products for my wedding. She was soo friendly and knowledgeable. Wish I remembered her name, she deserves a raise.

    I love The Bay. They always have a nice selection of quality children’s wear. I had awesome luck looking for some birthday presents (clothes) for my little granddaughter on Saturday. Also love the great selection of brand name ladies wear.

    Julie the manager from the watches/ jewellery department Oshawa Centre went above and beyond to help me today. So grateful and excellent customer service. So good to know that there are still such amazing people around.

    Terrible service especially since we spend almost $1000 on clothes…. Rude employees who couldn’t care enough to direct us towards items let alone the section they were in. Didn’t take off the security tag on some items which we had to almost ruin the jacket trying to get it off. Won’t be buying items from here again since there’s stores just as good if not better in the OC.

    This morning we’re in the perfume section. Spent like $500 dollars. We asked to return one item, the lady who was in the cash register(curly hair)shackled her head. But The lady was in Givenchy section is nice.

    The perfume ladies were very rude and intimidating. Almost like they didn't want you to be there. I didn't feel encouraged to shop there at all. I was looking for perfumes for myself and the first lady gave me a single one that was "appropriate for my age"? And then she left to go help other people and never came back. The second lady i thought was gonna be better but she sounded very condescending that i didnt know the difference between "le parfume" and "eau de parfume" (went there July 16th, 2023)

    This review is for the manager JULIE. You need to go back to school and retake some math lessons. Tried to sell a damaged dress and justified it by saying cut the loose ends off. She's the type to sell you used shoes and say they're brand new in box! Avoid this store. And avoid Julie like COVID 19

    No line up at the upstairs cash on a Friday evening at this location. The cashier was courteous and explained the discounts available in the store. Change rooms were available and clean. Store is accessible for mobility aids with wide uncluttered aisles.

    Hudson’s Bay online never disappoints me. While finding my choice of item in the correct size isn’t always possible in store, the online site is easy to browse and checkout. The delivery cost is pretty high at $15 but my items are always delivered within 3 days of ordering, soooo it works really well for me.

    I found the store to be bright, clean and well merchandised. I had exceptional service from an associate in linens ~ she knew her products' details. The associate on the register in housewares offered great assistance, I even opened a charge a/c and used it right then. Thank you Laurie for your pleasant service. I'll be back.

    Love the clothes and products; that's why I go back. Staff could use better training. They are far from helpful. Store dead quiet, yet getting help in women's clothing or lingerie was a poor experience. We felt like we were "bothering ' them.

    Was there with my wife who was looking for a dress. Shopped for 25 minutes, no one approached us for assistance. Found the dressing rooms by ourselves while two older female employees stood and talked with no acknowledgment at all. Left the store and bought a dress at a nice little shop with a very helpful saleslady.

    I like the store and their merchandise. I’ve had no problem with online service. However, it’s very frustrating when you can’t get a hold of customer service at the store level. I don’t want to drive to all the locations to see if they have a floor model to look at before making a big purchase.

    I was being helped by a younger associate, when an older employee with a heavy Scottish accent stepped in and was super rude to the younger employee. I don't know if they work for commission, or any background but it was very off-putting.

    A very cluttered store! All the sales racks down the middle aisle are a pain to look through. Would be easier if they left it on a sales rack where it came from.

    An historically iconic store.. The first business ever opened in North America was, Canada's, Hudson's Bay Co... They still carry very fine products of exemplary quality and high standard.

    I love Hudson's Bay. Had the battery in my watch replaced. My daughter bought some things. Good service. Price is rather high for a battery. Sign of the times I guess.

    I had my watch fixed at The Bay watch repair counter in the jewelry department. The technician was very knowledgeable. She found a creative way to fix my favourite watch, I heard back from her the same day and picked it up the following. The price was very reasonable too! Great repair option!

    I'm absolutely surprised that Hudson's Bay still exists but here we are! This location is large and even has its very own escalator right inside the store which allows shoppers to easily move up and down its two shopping levels. The clothing is quality name brands with rather high price tags. Like many things you get what you pay for so if you are willing to hunt around and pay the price you'll get a decent article of clothing. I find that Hudson's Bay had quite a lot of knick knacks. Products you can literally find at many other retailers for upwards of half the price. I guess this option would work for people who didn't want to go to other stores and shop around. There were some expensive pillows here! I never knew pillows could carry such an expensive price tag. Huge selection though.... Of expensive pillows. The men's dress wear was lacking. I went shopping for a tie and found the selection was really small. There wasn't much out on display and colour and style selection was poor. Managed to pick up a white dress shirt and a nice pair of socks. The socks rang up at the incorrect price and the person at the register honoured the price on the pair of socks. We brought up the pricing code of conduct but they played the fool and acted like they had never heard of it. Technically those socks should have been free but oh well.

    Just wanted to give a shout out for Beatrice who works in the Women's undergarment department. Beatrice helped me with a return that I had purchased online. Beatrice was pleasant and capable, she processed my return and I was very pleased with her lovely attitude and knowledge. I am one happy customer.

    Quite a disappointing experience. Was interested in purchasing some pots and pans so a sizeable purchase. Attempted to find product myself, it was a little confusing as the display was not indicative of what was in boxes nearby. I asked the clerk at the register if there was someone who could assist he came over was less knowledgeable than myself about the product conversation ending in basically “ I have no idea” no mention of being fairly new. ( I am more than understanding in that type of situation- it was more an attitude that I was wasting his time and he did not care in the slightest about helping me) I really wanted to make the purchase so I asked politely if there was anyone who might know. “Yah I’ll see if I can get someone”. Waited about 15 min with no update or conversation that help was on its way. Then what I assume might have been a supervisor came and she was extremely sarcastic “ oh you’re doing such a great job on your 5 th shift. Don’t worry about anything ( to the staff) SOME people expect you to know everything when you’re new.” Repeated that a couple of times loudly in the store while coming to where I was waiting. “What do you need” I started to explain what I was interested in and again she repeated that he can’t know everything when he was new. I then said “ he needs to know something “ (I probably could have chosen better words) telling me the pans were stainless steel was not enough information to make the purchase unfortunately. There were multiple sets on display, in boxes and I honestly could not find what pans were which. At that point I said not to worry about it and left. So not only did I make the hour drive each way, waste some time asking for assistance, leave without the product, I was embarrassed and degraded when I was nothing but patient and polite excepting the one comment that he needed to know “ something “ I really wished I had noticed some of the name tags as it was quite an unpleasant encounter. It was for a gift and I really don’t know anyplace that I can purchase a quality set. I was expecting to spend at least $1000 and now I don’t know where to go. I didn’t really want to buy at Walmart or Canadian tire. Unfortunate for sure. The Bay used to be a great shopping experience and the Oshawa store has been more than lacking as of late 😕

    Customer service in foot wear was top notch 👌 I bought a soft comfort Bali brand bra in Jan.2024 fitted wonderful, however, once it was worn continuously it became very uncomfortable. The bottom and the straps rolled up while on my body. I had to keep putting my hand in my clothes to fix it every time. The Bay would not exchange or refund me. Women, do not waste your $58.00 + taxes on this Bali bra.
