My husband and 2 of my children had the pleasure of ordering from Reggae Food Spot. With previous reviews raving about the oxtail it was only fitting for us to try it out. We ordered a large oxtail to share and for the kids, they just wanted a patty and coco bread. Everything was delicious, the oxtail fell right off the bone and you can just taste the love it was made with. The kids really enjoyed their patties and coco bread and when we walked away they were like mommy she's nice. So thank you for your kind services the food and service was amazing. We will be back soon!

Specifically went to the Oshawa Market to try the food from the Reggae Food Spot. I am angry at myself for not coming here sooner! Got Oxtail with rice & peas and coleslaw, a side of plantain, a spicy patty and mild patty along with coco bread. Lord have Mercy!!!!! It was all so good. Oxtail just falls of the bone, rice and peas are just the way I prefer (not spicy), the coleslaw was amazing. My favorite was the meat patties - I am wondering if they are home made.....that buttery flaky pastry is superb! Everything was top notch and well priced - will definitely be back.

Got the ackee and saltfish on rice and peas. Literally to die for. So freakin full of flavour and the spice is there but isn’t going to kill you or the flavours

Service was EXCELLENT! Arlene is absolutely the best at customer service and everything else she do. Thank you so much for the great service and the delicious food. We had oxtail with peas and rice! It was VERY GOOD!!! Even our 4yr old was eating all the meat 😆 🤣. Highly recommend trying out this spot!

An absolutely stupendous Caribbean spot. This little place inside Oshawa Markets is a comfort food dream. I had the opportunity to try the Curry chicken with rice & peas, the jerk oxtail, and the Jamaican patties. All of it was some of the very best treats I've had in years. I could rant all day on how tasty, and flavourful the Curry is. 1000% worth trying! And the oxtail was superb. The coup de Gras was the patties. Home made crust and the beef filling was incredible. 1800 out of 10 stars. :) Please give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. :) Thank you for an absolutely wonderful meal. We will be back next weekend!!! :)

This spot is a hidden gem! The patties are absolutely delicious! The oxtail is seasoned and well cooked. My husband ordered a large and despite being full he wanted more. Stop by and say hi to Arlene. She is so sweet! Pat and Carl

My husband and I visited Reggae SPOT at the Oshawa Markets yesterday afternoon for the first time and we were extremely happy that we did. Arlene, I believe that's her name from other reviews, is an absolute delight to deal with and the food was delicious. Customer Service is excellent, food is excellent(she even gave us a taste first) and we will DEFINITELY be back to try other dishes. My husband had the Stew Chicken and I had the Oxtail with Butter Beans, both dishes with Rice and Peas 😋😋. The Coleslaw was also a HUGE hit with us👍. When I tell you the food is worth it, the food is worth it. I went and bought some curry goat and I tasted one piece and after tasting that piece, I had to get some oxtail because it looked so tempting. I bought some oxtail and it was amazing!! I have visited many spots all over Durham looking for some solid, home cooked, authentic carribean food and this is the best place by far! Arlene is the one who cooked the food and it was amazing 10/10, Big up Chef Arlene! THIS IS THE GO TO SPOT FOR CARIBBEAN FOOD #1

Enjoyed a meal today with my family, the food was delicious, mom's home cooking authentic jerk chicken was excellent can't wait to order there again, next time will be the ox tail & stew chicken. The paties were also awesome.

Went here with my fiancee with the intent of trying something new(got the oxtail) absolutely delicious, amazing owner, you can tell the pride and love she has in the food and small details like wiping the box of any sauce spillage. Highly recommend if you are in the area! Will be a regular!!

I'm literally still eating my food and I had to give Mrs Arlene a five star review. She was very pleasant and the food speaks for itsef. You can never have too much gravy. The food tastes amazing and I was pleased to see her portions were very generous too. I dont live close but I will 100% be back. I'm very picky with my food and I dont have one complaint. The customer service was definitely on point!! I’ve had my fair share of oxtail and I find a lot of places super sweet- I asked if the oxtail was sweet and was given a sample without question immediately. The minute I tasted the oxtail it was absolute perfection melted in your mouth, it just kept getting better and better with every bite! the best oxtail I have had in my life! Very tasty and excellent portions To the sweet lady who was outstanding behind the counter, that’s what you call customer service, Job well done! 👏 👏 First time trying this place out and definitely not our last!

Today was my 1st time at this spot but it certainly will not be my last. While waiting my turn I noticed how the lady behind the counter cleaned after each customer, removed her gloves washed her hands and put on a new pair. There were two people in front of me and it didn’t take long before I was served. The smell when the lady lifted the lids make my mouth water…. Everything looks sooo good! I think the lady said her name name was Arlene, well Arlene as soon as I got home I took out the fork because I couldn’t wait for supper … oh lord that is some good curry chicken with rice and beans! My first time at this restaurant and I'll I can say is WOW. Thank you for the love you put into your food, it was amazing!. The portion well I'm having this for lunch tomorrow thank you for that. Highly highly recommend this food, please stay.
