Now this place might be located inside of a hotel lobby but don’t get that confused with the quality that it presents it’s patrons. The short rib is probably one of the best pieces on the menu. I love the service that you get here, I love the options on the menu, I love the quality of the food that you get to eat. This is probably one of Ottawa‘s best kept secrets. It might be busy constantly but I don’t think a lot of people living in the city visit this on a frequent basis like some of their other favorite restaurants. I would guess that most of the people eating here are simply guests of the hotel. So if you live in Ottawa and haven’t been here I suggest giving it a try! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very good service, welcoming and warm staff. I didn't expect to be so full. the salad was good, I also received a nice piece of salmon with a crispy skin and it was delicious. Usually I don't eat the skin, because I don't like it, but it made me change my mind. On the other hand, I would have liked to have a sauce, because even if the salmon was juicy I found that it lacked a little flavor. For dessert, I took a crème brûlée. very generous portions. I loved it

Had my Birthday dinner here with friends. They served few refreshments in between & Sangria was my fav in that. Food was delicious & serving was excellent. They had nice choice of wine & champagne. Appetisers had multiple options of sea food & steak. They had their signature dishes listed separately. Dessert was a compliment. I liked to have the flaming dessert but they currently don’t have it served. Went with coconut cream dessert & it was delicious. Car parking can be hectic & we chose to park in Nordstrom Parking which is just opposite to this restaurant.

Good seafood. Tried something not on the menu and they were happy to make it for me. The complimentary chocolate mousse was nice too.

OMG! Just amazingly delicious. Our waiter Chad did an excellent job at explaining the menu. We went for my boyfriend’s birthday and Chad even covered the dessert! How nice. I got the lamb chops and he got the ribeye steak, we shared the mushrooms and mac and cheese, and crème brûlée, everything was perfect as I wanted it to be. Make sure you taste their oysters and salmon tartare! One thing, I personally think the mojito cause use more liquor. Overall it is pricy but worth it. You get exactly what you pay for! You have 2 parking options, valet which is ~25$ or 4$/hour by the Westin hotel.

This restaurant is expensive with food cooked to specification as opposed to great taste which potentially could break all the rules in the kitchen! Unfortunately, there was a certain something missing in taste. Good drinks. Friendly staff from reception all through the evening. We asked for our left over sauteed wild mushrooms ($15 worth) which we hardly touched during our dinner, and left over fish to be taken home. Somehow, the waitress packed the fish but not the mushrooms! Not sure if I would return.

We enjoyed a lovely seafood platter for 2. It had oysters, shrimp, seared tuna, salmon Tartar, marinated fish, and lobster. A treat!! The service was impeccable

We went to the Shore club for dinner last weekend and we were disappointed. We visited there in 2015 and had an awesome experience with great food but sadly that was not the case this time. The service was perfect but the food wasn't as good as it was last time. My steak was under seasoned and so were the mashed potatoes. My husband had the fried chicken and he said that KFC was better. The onion rings were huge and did not have any flavor. While the ambiance and service were great, for the price we paid we were greatly disappointed and likely will not return 😕

Each time I come here for happy hour oysters and each time I leave content. The oysters are always fresh, the sliders taste absolutely delicious! And the price just can’t be beat. I’ve been here twice and will likely keep coming back!

We went for dinner at the shore club. The staff were wonderful. Our waitress noticed that our Mac and cheese did not look appropriate and replaced it immediately. We ordered fried calamari and an order of the shrimp and scallops. These were both good. However everything else was extremely salty. We had crab cakes, which we had to send back because it was too salty and inedible. The waitress told us that the chef agreed and that the whole batch was actually like that. We also had rack of lamb and steak, and they were both extremely salty as well. At this point we did not want to be the individuals who sent everything back. We tried to eat as much as we could. We asked to take our Mac and cheese to go, and the waiter was surprised we didn’t want to take the steak or lamb. We definitely expected the food to be so much better then this for the price.

Seafood platter and carpaccio were delicious. The PEI oysters were amazing. We tried a new dessert (for us), coconut cream pie - we loved it! Very attentive service.

A Seafood & Steak restaurant that is located by the byward market in Ottawa city attached to the Westin Hotel I would highly recommend that you make a reservation before going since it get busy later the night. it has a large variety of appetizers, share dishes, main courses and wine list. if your on certain that if you would like the wine that you ordering, you may request to try it out before ordering if it is available. At least my way staff offered me try it and I avoided ordering a wine that I would not like. The menu seems to be updated quite often since it is not the same as the ones I saw on Open Table reservation system platform my waitress Mika was very helpful and friendly. She enhanced my experience in the restaurant with her great service which result in a spectacular evening for my first night in the city of Ottawa.

Excellent dining experience! We want to try a good place for seafood in downtown, so after doing some research chose this place. Food was great! the cajun shrimp appetiser was very addicting, flavoured just right. And the fish was cooked well. And the chocolate trifle was so exquisite, that we were hankering for some black coffee after. All the waitstaff was very attentive and friendly, and happy to recommend good combinations. Happy 😊 customer.

I really enjoy Shore Club. They’re very good about allergies and the wait staff are always kind and well-versed in the menu. Our meals are always consistently great. I strongly suggest the chicken, salmon and the filet. The greens are a great side as are the vinegar fries. You honestly cannot go wrong with any dish on the menu, but these are our faves. Strongly suggest.

They didn’t have the trout (odd due to this is a seafood place) and the food I got was burned. Asparagus were soft and no taste at all. Something absurd is that you pay for sides !! Expensive for what I had.

Just want to thank the staff for the amazing meal and service I had last night with my girlfriends! The seafood tower was so fresh and We love the steak…. I am for sure going back when I visit Ottawa thank you !

Our waiter was great. Personally, I found the food a little salty but I don’t eat much salt in general. I’d definitely go back. If you enjoy mocktails, I highly recommend the It takes to to mango: not too sweet yet refreshing.

A huge thank you to the shore club for hosting us. From the automated reservation texts to the atmosphere, everything was to perfection. The service was just right; thanks to Chad and his patience! The seafood platter was to die for. I’m still think about it. It was bountiful and so fresh. Worth every cent. It truly was the cherry to top my Ottawa visit.

TL;DR, outstanding food, fantastic service, but a few tricky details with the drinks! We've got a tradition of going here for valentine's, so as an early heads up, book early because they do tend to get booked out well in advance! Straight out of the gate, the staff are really polite, well organised and professional. From the front of house, to bussing, bar staff and servers, it's like clockwork! For opening drinks, we opted for a house classic of an Old Fashioned, and one of their specialities, the Razzle Dazzle. The Razzle Dazzle is sweet, and our server advised us of that, but was really very enjoyable. The old fashioned was spot on, and nice to get a classic where other places are determined to go down the smoked route. Starters were excellent! The classic Cesar salad was nicely dressed without going over the top on dressing. Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio is an absolute flavor masterpiece, with the little details of red onion, capers and paper thin beef being just wonderful. Really recommend that one! For mains, here's where it gets really interesting! There's a little detail on their steak menu that they will English cut any steak for sharing, so we opted for their biggest, chunkiest bone in ribeye and two sides. This is well worth considering, particularly for something like a date night. The crust on this was just sensational, and cooked absolutely perfectly! Their big ribeye is a lovely amount for two, beautifully presented too (also the herb butter is outstanding). For sides, the fries are brilliant but the roasted broccoli is an absolute unsung hero. A note at this point on drinks. While the food and service was nothing short of outstanding, the drinks side of things is probably the only thing that didn't hit the mark. For wines, a lot of their by-the-glass are about the same price for a 9oz as a full bottle in the LCBO, and their by-the-glass is very limited, like no French option and only a $52 Stag's Leap (again, go check LCBO!) That being said, there are some reasonable options, but it's worth doing some research before you go. While the cocktails were good, we also had a standard G&T which was not well balanced. Dial back the ice, add more tonic! Overall, however, it's a good fine dining experience. A mention should go out to the atmosphere of the place, and it is really well run. If the drinks side was tightened up and modernised, it would be faultless. A really good experience overall, and worth a go!

Shore club has been a favourite of ours for any major milestone celebrations. The service is top notch and we love how flexible the chef is when it comes to any dietary accommodations. The ambience is great for a date-night. Their mushroom ravioli is a must have!

Overall comment it was ok. Good ambience and service, but the food was not worth the price. I had the stuffed trout, it was dry and not much flavor. The steak was average nothing special to it. We enjoyed the brussel sprout bowl which would have been suffice without the main. the crispy shrimp was salty for us but went along great with the Last Word cocktail. Bake potato was good.

We were there in Oct 2022. It wasn't our first time there. Food was rather average each time we were and service was inconsistent. We had starters, main and dessert. The baked potato (not on picture) was good. Fish and steak were average. Scallops were overpriced. The coconut cake is light and worth a try.

Proper service, good French wine selection and good steaks. Interior decor was similar to the Toronto location. Very satisfied. Dinner was about $300 per person with fine wine and you do get what you pay for.

Had a disappointing experience solely due to the food. The service, atmosphere, and drinks were all excellent. Of the 4 people at our table 2 ordered seafood and 2 ordered steaks. The seafood dishes were both not good, one worse than the other such They took one off the bill which was hardly touched and offered to make it again but we declined. The steaks were excellent cuts and well cooked. The side dishes and apps were good too. The lobster mac and cheese is amazing. The cocktails were a little pricey but excellent. The service was attentive, polite, and made a good recommendation for wine. Due to the food experience we wont be in a hurry to return for a meal.

We had an excellent dinner here. The food was full of flavour and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was great as we had a table in the back corner, creating a very private environment. Even though there was a large group close to us, the noise level was perfect to have a conversation. Their wine list is very extensive, but there is something there for everyone. Highly recommended and would return for sure.

Had the most amazing experience at the Shore Club! To start the evening: I had made a mistake in my online reservation and the restaurant was completely booked for the night. However the lovely hostess (Catherine was her name I believe) made sure to take my number and if anything opened up she was going to call and thank goodness she did! We were so happy! She went above and beyond to make sure that we had the perfect spot in the restaurant to be able to enjoy our evening. We certainly did! Food and drinks were great. All the staff were very professional and service was prompt. We highly recommend you give this restaurant and try if you haven't already. We certainly will be back.

Service was great but food wasn’t that good. It was okay. The bread for the table was still frozen in the middle. The steak had no seasoning, not even salt, but was cooked properly. Fries were unsalted as well. Peppercorn sauce was good! Mash potatoes and mac & cheese lacked salt and overall seasoning as well. They were kind enough to remove the mash and mac & cheese off the bill but it isn’t about the $. The food used to be good. Not so much anymore. Maybe I just came on a bad night, not sure.
